Not a bad alternative to the usual fast food of a road trip. The links were good, fritters , too. Brisket had good smoke, but dry. Skip the pork shoulder and fried okra.

Nice little BBQ joint near the interstate. Cafeteria style service and friendly staff. I had a pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. The sauce just makes it! You choose what type of meat and sides you want, pay, then just sit down in the cute log cabin dinning area and enjoy.

Cold meats, under cooked tough....I can't understand any of the 4 and 5 star reviews. The sauce is very tangy and too sweet... No smoke flavour at all. The service I received was impersonal and disinterested...young disinterested help.

Decent cafeteria style lunch spot with daily menu items. Try the poppy seed chicken on Wednesdays! Every time I get the pulled pork or brisket it's got to much fat in it IMO.

Really liked the catfish and the cole slaw. The apple fritters and hush puppies were also good. Very friendly and patient service. Made us feel welcomed and valued.

Very good BBQ, I have enjoyed their food for years. Drive thru is slow, I recommend you go in & get plate to go if you are in a hurry. Rustic cabin feel restaurant.

Brisket and ribs were good. Sides were good also. Apple fritters were a sweet treat for dessert. Enjoyed the meal but was a little pricey.

Very nice. Good barbecue. Their sauce is an original recipe and one of my favorites. I could literally drink the stuff.

I was really excited about coming here as I love BBQ. Sadly, I was underwhelmed and disappointed. The meat was decent, but I did not like the signature sauce used. I tried to like the special BBQ sauce, but it just didn't take. We were bummed because it is such a neat place as far as design and decor go, but likely will never be back. 3 stars for design.

It was a first for me and the last. I have never had to pay so much for a glass of water with my meal. I questioned the cashier why he charged me $1.89 for tea when I had water and he said, "it's all the same." No bread with my pork plate, only a hard hush puppy that was burnt so bad I couldn't bite it I got the BBQ sauce on the side and wasn't enough to cover the pork. The beans taste like they was sitting out since lunch. On the positive side the potato salad was the best part of my $11.21 meal.

The staff was very nice but the food was not delicious the price was unreal for the amount you get and the drinks were tiny plus had to pay for refills. The sauce was bitter the beans were cold the best tasting thing I had was brisket. For two people to eat a one serving meal was over $40.00!!! Not going back and I'm sorry but I don't recommend this place for a BBQ fix.

Really great little BBQ place, serving cafeteria style southern food. I want even hungry when we came here, just happened to run out of gas in Brookhaven and spotted this place out of the corner of my eye. It's fantastic! The bbq sauce is sweet, the decor is charming, and I love the service. They were all nice as could be, they could tell we were from out of town yet they treated us like family. Everything I tried was great (sausage, pulled pork, Cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, and hush puppies)

First time dining there. Was impressed with the decor. Took me a minute to figure out how the cafeteria line worked. Ordered the pork plate. The chopped pork was good with a slight hint on smoke. The sauce was good as well. Seemed like it was a tomato and vinegar base. Fries were cold. :/ Beans were good. Very good service. Good portions for the money. Would definitely go back.

I now have a definite bottom of the list for BBQ. Their smoked turkey is literally deli slices. If you are thinking about experiencing it for yourself, I would be surprised if you've had worse somewhere else

Cafeteria style restaurant with the best BBQ in Brookhaven, MS. It's also very close to I-55 they also have a drive through. I recommend the BBQ beef sandwich which comes with two sides and a drink.

There's a reason this place has been around for over 30 years! The brisket was moist, the sausage flavorful, and the service homey and cheerful. We came right after lunchtime, the meats and all the sides were hot and fresh. We will be returning when we can!

A Brookhaven landmark. Good southern food done right and served cafeteria style. Can't go wrong with this choice.

Cafeteria style ordering. Choices are Pulled pork, smoked St. Louis ribs, smoked Brisquet, smoked Chicken, smoked sausage, sliced smoked ham or turkey. (All hickory smoked in pit). Fried catfish available per order (they don't keep it laying around in grease). I love the catfish, but when I'm really going BBQ I get the 3 meat plate w/ pulled pork, sausage, and chicken. Garlic mashed potatoes are great and the green beans. Large portions and good prices. Expect to get a to-go plate or be really full. The hot apple fritters follow up everything really well. It's got a good atmosphere like you're in an old settlers log cabin. They don't leave squirt bottles of cold sauce on the tables, b/c you get it hot with your meal. Nice touch. Almost forgot the quick, cheap Shepard's pie for a fast lunch. It's garlic mashed potatoes and shredded Brisquet with hot BBQ sauce. Very nice. I'm a regular. Great stuff for real smokehouse BBQ
