Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Our first time here as we came for supper. I got the fried oysters and wife got the fried crawfish tails. They both were pretty good and not too much breading. The sides are decent and prices are cheap. The boiled crawfish are pretty good and sum spicey as i saw jalepenos on the platter with them, boiled corn is sooo good!! The wait staff was super nice!! We will be back soon.

No place anywhere near this place quite like this place! Y'all's great food and customer service cannot be overstated.

Really solid food!! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. For about $45+Tip we got fried pickles, a side of fried shrimp, a shrimp po boy, fried catfish, fries, onion rings, and two drinks. We got enough food to fill us up+take some back to the hotel for later. The breading on everything was delicious. Light and crisp and fried to perfection. Like others have stated, the fried pickles were REALLY salty, but I like salt...so that's ok. The po boy was generously filled with huge shrimp. We got a generous portion of catfish. The hubby was hoping for a little bit of spice in his fish breading but was still pleased. Our waitress was sweet as can be and kept our drinks full. Although we drove to the boonies to eat there, we never felt our of place. If we were a local we would return! Try it out!

I had the fried pickles and they were very good. The crawfish Po-boy was good and I am glad I did not get a whole. The gumbo was OK as were the fried crawfish. When the boiled crawfish are in season they are the best here. Service was great and the waitresses were nice and on the ball. Overall, I would go back but it will not be a 1st choice for me as the food was average.

You gotta meet Cindy. She's the best waitress yet. Super helpful about what to order. For a city girl, she broke down the nitty gritty of the Gulf. The bisque and the gumbo are AMAZING. The crab cakes are made with blue crab. The breading on the catfish was so light, you could taste how succulent catfish can and should be. Ring the bell when you leave. Let them know you had some good eats.

Definitely a must visit restaurant if you are in the Biloxi area! Came here our first night thanks to Yelper reviews. Did not disappoint. The service and food were both great. We shared a large seafood platter, fried crawfish tails, and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was some of the best I've ever had. A tomato based concept that hit on every cylinder. The crawfish tails were OK, nothing spectacular. The seafood platter was fantastic. Real MS. catfish. Be careful at some other area restaurants as they serve Basa - a "catfish" from Vietnam. Really, Vietnam Basa in Biloxi seafood restaurants! Not here, this was excellent. And the wait staff was exceptional. My only complaint, I didn't come here during crawfish season. But, I will next time, and I can't wait.

All you can eat crawfish for $20... Need I say more? Okay and ice cold beer to wash them down with! I can't comment on the rest of the menu because I have only been here for the all you can eat crawfish but they are so good marked it on out calendar as soon as they put on fb that it was starting again! Try them so good!!

Food is pretty good but way way way over priced. We used to go there all the time since we live about 2 minutes away but don't anymore. I have been there probably twice in the last two years and both times I swore I'd never go back after seeing my bill. Let's put it this way, you can eat at any other large chain restaurant like outback or Olive Garden or any of the places on the beach for less. I was told once the original owner passed away the children jacked up the prices. Again the food is good and you should at least try it once to see if the food is worth the price to you.

If this were my last meal, I'd die happy. Well worth the five minutes off the interstate or if you are looking for an adventure. Wonderful folks and a menu of seafood (mainly fried) that is dang near perfect. Buffalo shrimp- wow. Surf and tuff is a ribeye and fried shrimp, oh my! Cold beer too! Shrimp, oysters, crawfish. Only drawback- ever so slight is fish is only cat.

You must go here! It's sort of a hole in the wall kind of place but it's family owned with great service! Staff was super nice and was very knowledgeable about the menu. I wished we came when they had unlimited crawfish! None the less it was a great place. I've noticed around here that most small businesses aren't super clean but hey, they're trying their best!

Shrimp and crawfish bisque was awesome! Can't wait to come back when crawfish is in season. Excellent staff.

Just took a chance and drove out to Taranto's. The food was great, and they don't skimp on the serving size. The crawfish po boys were fantastic and you have to try the fried jalapinos! I highly recommend them off your in the area. N.McFadden Pensacola, FL

This place is very established with a long family history. They are usually one of if not thee first places to get crawfish in. Id love to tell you about other things on the menu but you'll never catch me here without a full 5lb tray of mudbugs and an ice cold beer in front of me. The staff treats you like family. Parking can get a little tight because they get busy around meal times but don't let that stop you, they will always make room for more! Oh & remember Ring the Bell if the food & service was well!!! See ya down the road, Chef Step My Road Never Ends.....

This is the classic place. A friend of mines kin owns the place and I have probably eaten here 10 times over the years. This is the little family local style place that most people will miss or not know exists. The poboys and gumbo are tops. I wish I could transplant this place to where I live in Nevada, but I know it just wouldn't be the same. Every time I come to Gulfport, this is a must stop place for lunch or dinner. The service is always excellent and the food is the epitome of regional cuisine. I actually get mad every time I am at home and my friends tell me they are eating here for lunch. That's how good it is.

  • Scotty H.

Had the fried jalapeños and fried oysters as appetizers. The oysters were perfectly fried. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. But the real deal is the crawfish. Perfectly seasoned, with enough heat you know it, but not enough to burn. Some of the best boiled crawfish I've had. Period.

  • Donna S.

Unique small local place that is worth the drive. Nothing fancy, just good food. Gumbo is spicy and wonderful, fried crawfish tails were delicious. Boiled and grilled shrimp platters were good-grilled had shrimp peeled and cooked in foil. The seafood platter was great-oysters especially!!!! We will go back!!

    (5)
  • Mar H.

Food is very salty. The grill shrimp wasn't that great, maybe better if fried. I can tell salad is not in the mind of most customers because I've never seen salad being made from the shredded kind in a po-boy.(see photo) Gumbo is pretty good. It's rather in the middle of nowhere from the main drag of the beach. Service is very good and I see locals comes here.

I am glad a friend of mine (Marty V.) recommended this place for lunch. It was awesome! It's located in a rural spot just north of I-10 exit 41 in Woolmarket, MS. The service was very courteous. They checked on you frequently asking if anything else was needed. I ordered the fried oyster platter. It was served with buttered French bread along with fries. The oysters were fried perfectly!!!! I washed them down with a bottled Barqs root beer. What could be better? I highly recommend. I am looking forward to becoming a regular here.

  • Tommy H.

Definitely one of the best meals along I-10 in Mississippi. The food was awesome. The crawfish bisque was out of this world. The service was on point. Thank you for the lovely southern hospitality. I hope to comeback soon. If you're driving through, do not miss this lovely place.

We saw the reviews on Yelp and wanted to get some good seafood. There were 11 people in our party and we didn't have a reservation. They were able to seat us immediately in the back where they had two big tables for large parties. We ordered everything from poboys to the shrimp boil. It was all excellent. Even the French fries were cooked to a crisp golden brown. From ages 6-65, all were happy. I also like the location of this place. It's back on a long windy road. The waitress was VERY nice and chatted with us for a while. When choosing this place, we noticed the other two restaurants didn't have as good reviews. We asked the waitress, and she told us they are all owned by cousins, and all have different recipes, menus, and philosophies on how they ran their business. Great tip! Out of the three, this is the one to go to.

Go here if you want the real Crawfish experience! Prices are great, service is outstanding, and the food is delicious. The only complaint I have is that the parking situation needs some work. Obviously this might be completely out of their control, but it's kind of a free for all out front to find a spot. Other than that, this place is awesome.

  • Karl S.

We found this place and it made our day! The food is amazing and our group of four tried everything. The Fried Crawfish were outstanding, the Catfish was crazy good. The best was the Fried Oysters...just amazing. Worth the trip!

  • Jordan M.

Not being from the area, I was a little wary about this place's surroundings, I wasn't sure what to expect from the people. But all that was for nothing because besides the good food, I've rarely dealt with people that nice before. I had a crawfish po boy, and my girlfriend had a BLT, both were very good, and the service was exceptional, they definitely took care of us. I didn't really experience the "salty" experience everyone is speaking on, everything seemed great to me. Next time I'm back in the Biloxi area I'll definitely have to try them again.

  • Darlene A.

Yes, it's a dive...but these folks in THIS Biloxi location lay down their flavor HARD! I HIGHLY recommend the Dungeness Crab Legs, Crawfish, Shrimp...ok, EVERYTHING BOILED or FRIED...'er, let's just say EVERYTHING. You will absolutely ruin your fresh manicure, and you WILL be ok with it for the first time in your life...but seriously, you might want to bring some gloves if you really did just have your nails "done." ;) The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about their menu. The menu is very reasonably priced especially when considering how well each item taste. The fry oil is always fresh and the boil is always seasoned and timed perfectly. It's a great place to take family and friends, or sneak off with your lover if you just want to relax and enjoy the best Cajun around!

Delicious food, amazing staff and service...great with kiddos! We called ahead with a large party and they were ready for us when we arrived. We will definitely be returning when we're in the area. Worth the drive from the beach!

We were visiting my sister who still lives in the Saucier area and she recommended Taranto's in Woolmarket for a Po'boy. I Got a Shrimp Po'boy and must say it was one of the best I have ever had! I also had a cup of their Gumbo, again some of the best I have ever had . Everyone in my party was super happy with what they ordered! The staff is super friendly and attentive. They have daily lunch specials that are awesome and very economically priced. The group at the table next to us had the crawfish special, it looked awesome and they were very happy with their order! I intend to try them during my next visit to the coast. I highly recommend them!!!!!

Tarontos has the best crawfish around, they are seasoned just right. I would recommend them to anyone who loves crawfish.

We eat lunch there a lot great grilled shrimp fried shrimp, oysters, poboys, it's all good. They are all friendly people who have a lot more to offer. When the crawfish are in season get there early. The crew from GeoPave and SCI Inc

Located in Woolmarket, MS the food and service was excellent . We had shrimp poboys which were full of shrimp and fried crawfish tails.

  • Tina O.

This place is tiny but cozy. The waitstaff is very friendly and make you feel welcomed the moment you walk through the door. Caitlin was especially nice and answered the millions of questions we asked. As far as food goes, if you like eating salt - this is the place for you. Everything we tried was like licking a bar of salt. Totally couldn't handle it. HOWEVER if it hadn't been so salty, the food would've been perfect. It was cooked just right. We had the grilled shrimp salad, fried pickles, gumbo, boiled shrimp (the exception- this was very good!), and fried shrimp poboy. Maybe too much food but we were curious. The fried pickles were sent back to the kitchen after having a few. All in all, I wouldn't come back here. It's also located waaayyyyyy out of the way....

What a great lil seafood place off the beaten path. I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed it. They offer daily specials and a great assortment of good home style cooking. I had a shrimp poboy today that was phenomenal, it came with your choice of a cup of gumbo or bisque. I didn't like the bisque so upon checking out they offered to send me home with a cup of gumbo. Most places aren't as concerned with their patrons as Taranto's. I'll continue to frequent them.

  • Vinn N.

I live 2 mins away so its convenient to eat here when I'm too lazy to go else where. I like their fried foods and poboys only. I don't care much for the crawfish, but I see alot of patrons like them. Service is good. Ladies in there are usually nice and smiling.

I was happy to hear about this place as I live off the woolmarket exit. Anyone that lives off that exit knows there are no really great places to eat. The first time I got food from here, my father brought it for me when I was stuck at home due to a surgery. I got the Roast Beef Po Boy with french fries and gravy. The amount of portion surprised the heck out of me!! A LOT of food to eat! Fresh. The fries were obviously home made and different from bland fries from other places. Heck, even the gravy was really good! I think my dad says they sell it? Next I went by myself a few days ago to grab lunch. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger and fries. The girl getting my order was very nice and very pretty! The burger was fresh and tasty. A little bit bigger than other burgers I've gotten around here so far. The bacon was great too. haha. That's what I like about this place, even the smallest of things are great. Decently priced. I'll be returning in the future for sure, and may up the rating to a 5 depending on how other things on the menu taste.

I was simply looking for that 'perfect Mississippi dining experience'....found it! The staff was friendly, helpful, gave the table samples of the soups on special, promptly brought drinks, and diligently checked in on us. An order was placed for take out right at closing (unknowingly) and without batting an eye the ladies promptly fried up a catfish po'boy and had it wrapped up within moments. Come for the fun, down to Earth, casual atmosphere and enjoy a seafood platter that will floor ya or maybe just enjoy the tasty boiled platters featuring crabs, crawfish, or mussels...just don't order too much!! The helpings are huge no need for seconds when the food is so hearty!! Tasty food, the Mississippi way!!

  • Abby S.

A terrible place to eat. The crawfish had very little taste, was overcooked, and cold halfway through the meal. my friends platter had some sort of beetle in it. It was the size of a fucking dollar ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha seriously a whole fucking dollar. Like where the fuck does a bug come from to get into a crawfish platter? A little too overpriced to be in backwoods Mississippi also when confronted about the bug the waitress took the platter took the bug out and then get it back to us and them charged us for the fucking platter a bunch of country bumpkins who can't cook crawfish.

We came down here from Maryland for work and asked around where the best place for crawfish was. This is where everyone said to go and we were not disappointed. Definitely the highlight of my week (and we spent a day in new Orleans!)

  • Ian M.

Wonderful, family friendly environment! The crab po boy was seasoned perfectly and cooked to a flaky goodness. My son gobbled it up in about 5 seconds. I had the gumbo which was a deep brown flavorful soup filled with shrimp, sausage and rice. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its wonderful food, friendly service and only 3 miles off the interstate.

Feeling in a glutinous mood, eight of us descended on Taranto's in Woolmarket for a Wednesday night all-you-can-eat crawfish boil. My wife and I are from out of town but the rest of the group are locals and recommended this out of the way spot because of the quality, price, service, and local flavor. We weren't disappointed. Mountains of fresh hot crawdaddies piled high on beer trays, rolls of paper towels to clean up with between breaths, cold Abita beer, and potato and corn mixed in for sides. The services was great with new, hot Crawdads constantly being delivered until we could eat no mo. The shrimp plate was excellent as well with more shrimp than could be consumed in one sitting. All in all a fun place with all the trimmings.

We were in Biloxi over the Thanksgiving holiday to visit our son who is stationed at Keesler Air Force Base. After being disappointed with the Thanksgiving buffet at the Hard Rock Casino, we wanted to have a good meal at some point during our visit. We were advised to try Taranto's and were not disappointed. We were taken care of by our waitress, Kristi, and had excellent food. We had both dungeness and snow crabs, gumbo (the bread served with the gumbo was particularly good), a catfish poboy that my wife raved about, and a shrimp poboy. It's in an unusual spot, but it's not far from I-10, so it wasn't difficult at all to get to. Our party of six left happy without exception. We highly recommend.

Came here about a month ago not really expecting much, and was really pleasantly surprised. The food here is great, and the staff is SO nice! I wasn't expecting that at all, nothing but smiles, they really made our experience enjoyable. I had a crawfish po boy and the girlfriend had a BLT, both were good! Thanks alot Taranto's. Definitely will go again on my next trip to Biloxi.

It is a small local restaurant in a middle of a rural area. We just randomly asked couple local people in the outlet mall and they all suggested us this restaurant. If u want authentic food, come here. They have the best boiled crawfish and gumbo I have ever had in my life. We actually changed our trip plan to stay in this little town for 1 more night just for going back to this restaurant again. The price is soooo cheap $3.99 a pound for boiled craw fish and they r soooo good, juicy, and fresh. They would be a little salty for those of you who don't like much salty. Our waitress was awesome. Definitely come back here... Uhm... Daily if I could.

You want to know where the locals eat?? It's here! Fresh seafood, reasonable prices, and delicious!!

  • Jessi P.

The Gumbo taste like soup not Gumbo. The catfish plate was too expensive it wasn't seasoned good & it was to wet & not cooked hard enough. The French bread was good though. I didn't get a chance to taste the crawfish because they ran out. If I lived in this area I wouldn't go back here to eat.

  • Penny D.

I would like to give 4.5 stars. Excellent crawfish and great service. The bread pudding was not good and it was the only option for dessert. It was slimey and was floating in oil which I guess could have been butter.

  • Christie K.

To say this place is "out of the way" is a major understatement. At one point during the drive there my husband stated hearing banjo's. It is a total dive place. Rickety chairs, questionable tables, a soda machine steps away from everyone but DELICIOUS food. Started with fried pickles and buffalo shrimp. The buffalo shrimp were fantastic and I thought i was going to have to stab my husband to get the last one. The husband had a shrimp po boy that he devoured. The kids had a chicken po boy which was very enjoyable. I had a giant platter of crawfish, that everyone at the table helped me eat. I'm sometimes a little iffy on crawfish, but when in the South at a place known for their crawfish, you've gotta try a few mudbugs. They were amazing. All in all, a fun little joint out of the way with some quality eats.

This place was great! We stopped for lunch on way from Gulf Shores to New Orleans and it was well worth the stop off!! We had the crawfish po boy an the shrimp po boy an both we're excellent. Friendly, quick service to boot. We also got the crab cake which was good but not as great as the sandwiches.

We had a trip planned from NC to D'Iberville to visit some friends we had not seen in a long time. We are from NC so before the trip I researched local seafood with one search word which was "gumbo". On the list of highly rated places was Tarantos Crawfish. and after more research and seeing pictures of it I knew it was THE "dive" I would go to for my search of the perfect gumbo. Went there Tuesday for lunch (12-3-13) and the only disappointment was they did not yet have crawfish on hand since for fresh ones it is a little early in the season. I ordered a pound of boiled shrimp and a bowl of gumbo. I should have ordered a half pound because the shrimp were huge....the kind we only get on an expensive shrimp cocktail in NC. Had the corn on the cob and boiled potatoes along with it and I and the others in my party we were overwhelmed with all the food. Brandi waited on us and took very good care of us and I think was amused by this NC boy. I don't know how or when but I do know that I will somehow travel back down there to Tarantos again and get some crawfish.....does this sum it up for you? Do not be turned off by the appearance of Tarantos.....it is a dive with caring people who know how to cook this stuff. I hope they never change a thing about their place. By the way, the lady that took our payment, I assume one of the owners, was very nice and endearing to us. Do not waste your money on glitz and glamor....get yourself to Tarantos.

We actually found this place on yelp and tried it due to the great reviews. We loved it! The food is great, service is great and the value is great. It's the best seafood we have had in Ms. The quiet casual atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. We had the gumbo which was flavorful and just spicy enough and the seafood platter. The shrimp was fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. We will go back whenever we are here.

  • Monique G.

Best crawfish around. Perfectly seasoned. Not overly spicy. Reasonably priced and there aren't a bunch of bad ones at the bottom.

    (5)
  • Claudia S.

Very good crawfish, the fried oysters are much to be desired. Crawfish though, Awesome. Prices are good, service is good. It is kind of a dive but this isn't an evening gown type place, just wear your t-shirt and jeans and bring your hunger.

  • Angela H.

If you are like my husband and me and like local hole-in-the walls, this is the place for you. Husband has fried shrimp poboy and said it was excellent. I had gumbo and it was awesome. Fried oysters and boiled crab was also excellent. Would go back!!

  • Dave H.

Been hearing about this place for years but had never eaten here until recently. Typical "dive" feel but the waitress was awesome and the food was even better. I'm consider myself a po boy expert! I ordered the crab cake po boy and was very reluctant about how good it was going to taste. However, the waitress assured me that it was full of crab meat and not a bunch of filler. She wasn't lying! This is one of the best po boys I've ever eaten! I'm a big fan of pressed po boys and this one was pressed perfectly, crab cake was full of flavor and not fillers. I was pleasently surprised and can't wait to go back. I also got some crawfish to go about a year ago and it's some of the best crawfish I've ever had. The only thing that would make it better would be the price, they're pretty proud of their crawfish because they're pretty expensive IMO, even after the season is in full swing.

Thank God for Taranto's! During my visit to Mississippi I was lucky to find Taranto's. Stopped in for dinner on Friday before visiting the casinos. My husband and I split a 12inch shrimp po boy and quite a few pounds of crawfish. The po boy tasted amazing! The shrimp was crispy and the bread gave it a flavor to remember! Our waitress was extremely attentive and always had our glasses filled with sweet tea. On our way back from New Orleans, the Sunday after, I couldn't pass up another visit to Taranto's. It was about 8:00 pm and I was so happy that they were open till 9:00 pm! We were welcomed to smiling faces and wonderful service. Its the kind of place you walk into and instantly feel at home. So, once again we did the po boy 12 inch split and crawfish. My taste-buds were in heaven! Another amazing meal! Being that my husband and I were the last customers we never once felt rushed to leave. Instead the remaining employees struck up a conversation with us. I have never felt so welcome in a restaurant before. Delicious food... wonderful employees... this place is a perfect ten! On my next visit I plan on trying the gumbo, crab patties, and fried peppers (dipped in ranch). Taranto's is a must visit!

Crawfish are good. Small hole in the wall kind of place but nice. Watch directions if you map it on google. Call restaurant if you get lost. We did and staff helped us get there. Worth the effort!

We read about this place on yelp and had to try it...you NEED to eat here, had crab Po boy and Crawfish Po Boy...Crawfish Po boy was superb, service is great and menu is super affordable, it's almost wrong to eat this good for this price. Also try the gumbo it is a must have. We ate gumbo everywhere we stopped from NOLA to Mississippi, to Alabama, to Tennessee and back and this is the BEST Gumbo we had. And let me just say again YOU NEED TO EAT HERE. It's a little off the beaten path but it is well worth the drive, I will be sure to drive out of my way to go here the next time I'm in the area.
