Bay Town Inn Bed & Breakfast

An absolutely enchanting place with an amazing view of the bay. Fresh baked muffins delivered for breakfast daily were a delight. The rooms are lovely, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The room fridge is stocked daily with drinks and snacks at no extra charge, and there is a lovely set of other snacks. The pool is open all hours for a nice relaxing dip, which is a pleasant change from the humidity. There are several nice restaurants in easy walking distance. Should I ever visit again, I will be sure to stay here again.
Absolutely wonderful and charming place to stay. The rooms are very nice and super clean. The owner Nikki couldn't be any nicer if she wanted too. They have a very nice pool area to relax at. Free ice on site. Our room had a mini fridge stocked with free waters, cokes and Orange juice. We wanted to get away from the city "New Orleans" and have a laid back weekend. And we got just what we wanted here. We will for sure be coming back. Thanks for your hospitality Nikki.
What a beautiful place, very comfortable and clean. Owner is nice and left a personal note and cookies for us. Great dining close and beach across the street. A gem of a place.

Rickey’s Off The Tracks

I couldn't ask for anything more when I stepped into Rickey's Off The Tracks for lunch. This place is located along the Train Depot district. It is an old historic cottage with lots of charm. The menu is currently sandwiches and appetizers. I had the French Dip with au jus yesterday. It is delicious and very tender. The week before that I had the meatloaf burger. It was very tasty and really hit the spot. Rickey's is now my new favorite lunch spot. They are currently expanding the building and will add to their menu and hours. I look forward to it. The staff is friendly and food comes out quick. They are a great new addition to the area.

Buoys Bar and Grill

115 S Beach Blvd
Bay Saint Louis, 39520
Reviews:
Awesome dive bar to get a late night drink, finally stopped in during daylight hours and was thoroughly impressed with the decor and view of the Bay. Didn't mind waiting for my beer to warm up one bit! Staff was friendly and even stopped by to check on us after we insisted it wasn't necessary. We were having one quick drink and heading out. Didn't bother looking at the food menu, but I did notice someone eating fish taco's. Will be back to try those soon.
Buoys is so my kind of place. It's got everything I love. A nautical theme, an awesome and effective staff, great food, good music and a greatly great vibe.. I just love how the building is made to look like it's a boat. That's right up my alley for sure but the food...oh the food. We got the buffalo shrimp app and fought over it (not kidding) and the burger and shrimp/fish tacos with the intention to split those too. Look, don't judge me but I wasn't about to share my tacos with anyone once I tasted them. I like the guy but umm, you know. The service is promt, friendly and fast. Food is almost perfect and the atmosphere could not be better. Go :)
This seems to be the new hot spot in Bay St. Louis and it has the largest space of the bar/restaurants in town along with a great view of the water. They are big fans of the DJ here which doesn't usually do much for me. The best bar crowd was here on my last visit to Bay St. Louis after we did a tour of Blind Tiger, Gabbies and Buoys. I didn't get a chance to eat here but the food options looked good and as a bar it was the clear winner for the night. It looks like they are building a condo or some other type of building uncomfortably close to this place so I don't know how that will impact their late night music and allowable noise levels going forward. Overall I liked this joint and it would probably be one of my top choices in the area for a nice place to grab a drink.

The Sycamore House

210 Main St
Bay Saint Louis, 39520
Reviews:
The Sycamore house is a top notch eatery in the small town of Bay St. Louis. For not being on the water, the restaurant makes up for it with the charm of an old southern plantation set amongst beautiful trees and landscaping. The food here is some of the best in BSL. We started with the crabmeat and mushroom cheesecake, which was awesome, and then I had the turtle soup followed by the ropa viejo. All three dishes lived up to expectations and really hit the spot. If you do choose to eat here, prepare for higher prices and for a quiet environment. The restaurant is perfect for a date night or a special occasion, but isn't the best for large loud groups or little kids. BOTTOM LINE: Some of the most flavorful food in BSL... great for a date night or special occasion.
Food was great. The have poke on the menu, and having just come back from Hawaii, we had to try it. Very tasty. The server was very attentive. Very reasonable wine list. Only thing keeping me from giving four stars was the amount of time that passed between the apps and the main course.
If the restaurants on the beach are a bit too touristy for you, I'd recommend coming inland and visiting this is a cute little spot with casual seating and a cool back porch. Its no less touristy but at least you feel less like a schmuck when you eat here. They have pizza. Some random quasi-Mediterranean dishes. A duck confit. A couple po' boys. Boring... I would have really liked to find some home style rice and beans. Or a crawfish stew. Something seasonal. Something regional. I expected a menu as beautiful and unique as the people I met around town and The Sycamore House really let me down. Sorry, guys!

Bridges Golf Resort At Casino Magic

711 Hollywood Blvd
Bay Saint Louis, 39520
Reviews:
The Bridges Golf Course is located in Bay St. Louis, right next door to the Hollywood Casino. Its the best course in the area and reasonably priced as such. I always play for free with a friend whose parents get free vouchers once a month from the casino. The course is in good condition, but does have a lot of forced carries... I'd say 70% of the holes have a large marsh area that you have to hit over to hit the fairway or green. It's not too bad since the fairways are generally pretty wide, so as long as you can get the ball down the fairway, you have a little room for error on the sides. BOTTOM LINE: Best option for golf in the Bay St. Louis area.

Reviews:
Wow. This place is always packed and with good reason. The food is great and the portions are huge! If you love getting way too much good food and leaving a restaurant feeling extremely full - this is your place!!! They also have a crazy happy hour with 2 for 1 drinks including gigantic margaritas! Woo!
I actually liked the salsa! It had a nice cilantro bite to it and just the right amount of pepper. Others posting state the salsa was watery. It was just not blended smooth. The tomatoes were a bit chunky which I liked. This is an above average "regular run of the mill mex joint". From the Louisiana/Mississippi line to Gulfport its the best ya gonna get. Try it. It's good. Oh yeah..the cheese dip is not watered down like some other places I've been to.
I absolutely love LaChula. I have been going for a few years now and have never been disappointed. I love their salsa, but I like my salsa a little on the watery side. I always get chicken quesadilla and it's always amazing. I LOVE LACHULA!

The Blind Tiger

119 N Beach Blvd
Bay Saint Louis, 39520
Reviews:
Its sort of mean to blind a tiger but maybe they just hate LSU, Auburn and Clemson here. This is a nifty patio bar and grill that is right on the beach. The view isn't the prettiest but you can see the water although you can also see lots of construction and the bridge but at least you get a good breeze blowing through. This is really more of a bar than restaurant but they have a small menu on the wall chalkboards with seafood like royal red shrimp along with some non-seafood items such as burgers that should please most folks. This is definitely a relaxing place to enjoy some good food, good drinks and good times.
Don't waste your time. There are many issues with this place that all seem to stem from bad management. The food is mediocre and overpriced. The drinks are weak; the bartenders are incompetent. Don't ask for anything beyond a beer. I am new to the Bay St. Louis area, and I was desperately looking for a decent bar with decent food. Not this place. Again, do not waste your time. I see this place going under in a few months. Also, they don't have a working phone line. Suspect? Seems illegitimate.
On a recent transcontinental drive, the boyfriend and I found ourselves in coastal Mississippi, hungry and in need of respite from the road. The Blind Tiger had a line out the door, so we joined it and found a seat pretty quickly at the bar. The interior is small beach shack bar--casual, friendly, with football fans, older locals and lots of beer. They have a nice selection of local brews, which I loved. We ended up staying for a while and sampling some Mississippi offerings. The menu, a few items scrawled on a blackboard, happened to contain some real gems. We opted for the mahi mahi tacos and their "big reds"--local crawfish/prawn type critters, stewed with corn on the cob, sausage and potatoes. Wow. Beyond delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the seasoning and sauce they use are divine. The big reds were glorious. New beers, great bartenders, amazingly delicious seafood and a groovy little joint. I am still dreaming of those tacos. Ideal place to spend a lazy afternoon.

Trapani’s Eatery

Bay Saint Louis, 39520
Reviews:
We were here twice to enjoy the upper deck that has great views of the Bay and Beach Blvd. This area is now called the Blue Marlin and is more of a bar than the restaurant space downstairs. They have a nice selection of local beers and a decent wine list. The food is just finger food/appetizers. We highly recommend the fried green tomatoes - very good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The outdoor deck in front has a fireplace, tv, and overhead fans making it a great option in almost any weather. Well worth a visit!
Nic and I were hungry while walking along the coast in Mississippi, while attempting to figure out where to get the best seafood via Yelp on an iphone. This is a great idea when you know where you are but being that we had never eaten at ANY of these places or knew where they were for that matter, I decided to ask some local Mississippians. Gosh, were they happy to come to the rescue of some poor Minnesotans (Mississippians love us btw, they are surprised by how much cold we can handle). Instantly they assumed we wanted seafood, which, yes, why not, the ocean is 2 feet away. The 3 we asked actually had all just met each other and all instantly said, "if you want the best seafood, and we mean the BEST, you have got to check out Trapani's." Three strangers, all agreeing? That's a no brainer. They warned us about the steeper price, but they said it doesn't matter, it's worth it, and we set out to find this magical restaurant. AMAZING seafood, I know I usually eat veggie, but when I'm sitting on the ocean and the owner is the fisherman that not only parties at night ( picked him out in an instant) but catches most of what is served, how can I not eat it? Sustainable food is also an important aspect of my chosen diet! It was busy, which didn't bug us coming from the big city, but I guess it must have been for some local Waveland residents. We were handed a light up wait device (What are those even called?) and told it would be about 20 minutes, and that we were more than welcomed to go upstairs to the casual bar. Oh yeah, it's two levels, the bottom being more 'formal' dining, and the rowdy bar above. The bar was hoppin' and I had a blast people watching! They have a full bar with a few snacks, which we didn't get because we wanted to save room for the real meal. But i liked that the bar didn't offer anything on the regular menu. We got seated about 20 minutes later (good timing skills!) While the service was a bit on the slow side, I'm gonna let it slide because it was busy and we were told they had to 'shuck more oysters" which I guess takes sometime. Anyways, we were met right away and we ordered the Seafood Steamer, which started with a salad (which the chef split into two normal sized salads, awesome!) with the homemade blue cheese dressing, which was some of the best dressing I've ever had in my life! Next, which was the LONG wait, came the steamer which consisted of a pound of Red Shrimp (look these guys up, you'll then know why they are SO GOOD, they are almost like Lobsters), 12 cooked oysters, cheesy and beautiful, 2 Snow Crab halves (I know, not local, but still amazing) and some corn on the cob (Us Minnesotans don't get this all the time!) It was amazing, the best seafood I've had and all for $75, which we thought was a very good price. If we ever make it back to the area, this will definitely be on the list!
One of the best places I've eaten at! The atmosphere and view is awesome! The staff is really energetic and friendly.
