My family and I have been to Weston before, but never to the Weston Cafe. We loved it! I got the pancakes, which were great and my husband got the skillet. AMAZING! Needless to say, we were all fighting over getting a bit. The gravy was fantastic (because you never know with gravy) and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. Great find!

The wife and I were first time visitors to Weston, Mo today. After a full morning and afternoon of shopping and sight seeing we asked a local where the best lunch in town was? We ended up at the Weston Cafe ordering a local lunch favorite; pork tenderloin sandwich. We split this meal and still left with to go boxes. With iced teas and a side of fries we still ate for less than fifteen bucks. Service was good and the place was clean.

Very old school place. Kind of a shock when we opened the door and saw people smoking :) Having to walk through the smoking section to get to non-smoking was on the strange side, but I can see why they made that choice - the smoking section was full, but we had the non-smoking section to ourselves. Service was truly superb. Fast, friendly, attentive (but not too). Went for breakfast. Two attempts, but they are closed Mondays. Glad we went back on Tuesday. The pancakes were outstanding. Apparently cooked in bacon fat. Absolutely delicious, and cooked perfectly. Chicken fried steak was also terrific. Excellent coffee. If we're back in the Leavenworth area, we'll be visiting here again.

Been back to Weston Cafe a few times now (my friends and I take an annual trip in the fall) and I think I was a little too harsh the first time around (3 stars isn't really harsh but still). The pork tenderloin is really good still, so yay for that. Their burgers are pretty tasty too. This go round, our waitress was kind of salty and sarcastic which was perfect for our group and I give her big thumbs up. It is still typical diner type food at small town prices which are all positives in my book. Looking back the fact that they were a little shocked by my t-shit was more amusing than anything else and the staff has been really nice and the food always good to very good. Definitely will remain a part of our annual trips to Weston!

Nice little small town USA eatery, reminds me a lot of Riverside Diner in Boonville. It was a good choice for the two teenage appetites that came with us-a decent selection of burgers and comfort food. I had a turkey/cranberry sandwich on some really good rustic wheat bread. The wavy-cut sweet potato fries were pretty good too. I didn't try them, but I agree with Clarice-they need to try harder on the french fries-they looked like they came from a bag. Prices are very reasonable, our waitress was friendly, brought the food out quick, and kept the drinks topped off. The atmosphere is typical small town diner, a clientele mix of daytrippers and locals enjoying a leisurely meal.

I feel a little guilty writing this review because I loved the town of Weston and the employees at the Weston Cafe so much, but my lunch was really unappetizing. My cobb salad came out with yellowed iceberg lettuce, chalky egg, and bright red bacon bits. BACON BITS?? We live in the midwest, there's no excuse for substituting meat with crunchy synthetic material colored with Red#40!!! I was also embarrassed by their soggy (likely frozen Ore-Ida) crinkle cut fries. Oh dear. Maybe Weston Cafe offers a more homey breakfast menu but there was nothing comforting about the lunch we had here - besides the smiles from the lovely employees!

Food was cold and nothing spectacular. Kids did not even eat their mac and cheese and my husbands roast beef sand had a big piece of fat and he was done with it. My Philly was so tough couldn't be chewed. Big mistake

If you are looking for a good homecooked breakfast while in Weston - look no further. I know people that come to Weston every Sunday from a neighboring town just for breakfast. They have a good variety of food so definatley something for everyone. Sometimes they are out of blueberries for the pancakes. They always are quick to accommdate our hangovers on Sunday morning with lots of water and rushing the coffee! It's gets busy after church (between 9 and 10). They still allow smoking in the restaurant but it's in its own section (right inside the door). Just walk on through and up the step to the larger dining room and you won't smell a thing.

I have eaten here twice, and wasn't that impressed either time-for several different reasons. However, I am a huge fan of mom & pop-run establishments, and will always support them and want others to as well. So even though my experiences here were so-so, I will return, as it wasn't the food that was less-desirable, just the service and atmosphere. Plus, it is one of the few restaurants in Weston, MO and I want to make sure places like this continue to stay open. And besides, one can only hope that with unbiased reviews like this, an establishment can take note and only become that much better. The Weston Cafe is a bit too grungy in my opinion. I can't but feel that the place (especially the bathrooms) needs a thorough cleaning. Although there isn't any major dirt or grime, everything feels a bit sticky and there are finger smudges on the doors and walls. I just felt like I needed to sanitize my hands before digging in. Also, it took forever to be served, and then to receive our food. In their defense, they did tell us they had a large group arriving and only a few servers. However, about an hour passed before we finally ate, and besides the one large table, there weren't that many other customers in the restaurant. Was the food worth the wait? I'm not sure if my lunch was, but the rest of our party definitely raved about their choices. I only had a grilled-cheese sandwich and fries, and they were ok. My husband and in-laws tried a greater variety of food from the large menu-all Southern comfort food, and walked out very full and satisfied. So I believe that with a bit of scrubbing and perhaps some updates, this cozy cafe could garner four stars from me in the future.

I had the chicken salad with sweet potato fries. The restaurant at first glance looks rather ordinary. The food is anything but ordinary. They smoke meats on the weekend. My husband had a smoke hot beef sandwich. The service was great, waitress friendly with a nice sense of humor. The only thing I wish they would have done was offer us pie. On the way out I noticed them delivering it to a table, and it looked homemade. I'm always up for that. But didn't realize it was available.
