This bar/venue is kind of hidden. I had driven past it many times and never noticed it, in fact I only found it because I was looking for The Music Box, which is next door. The map is wrong (as aremost online maps, it's located at the back of a large gravel lot southeast of the intersection of MO-45 and MO-P. I was really surprised to find the bar open (it was late morning on a Saturday), as places that are focused on live music tend to open later in the day. But the lonely bartender was present and ready to serve! From the outside the bar looks a lot smaller than it really is. On the inside the rustic full-sized bar takes up only the front end of the establishment. It runs much further back where a table seating area gives way to pool tables, games, and a small stage for live music. This was an enjoyable, unexpected find.
Small town bar to the t. Don't let the outside scare you like it did to my boyfriend when I pulled in! This bar isn't anything fancy but they do have some killer cheese dip when you've had one too many. They didn't have a drink menu but if you slide over to their FB, they have a menu listed there.
My brother lives near Weston and we stopped in for lunch. The patty melt and fries were good... Perfect greasy, but delicious bar food. The place itself is what you would expect for a small town bar and grill, complete with juke box in the corner and condiments in a reused beer bottle 6 pack. The dudes at the bar were drinking beer bottles in koozies at 1:30pm on a Monday. Leave your coat in the car as it's a bit smoky and you'll probably leave smelling like a greasy bar. If this sounds like your kind of place, you're in for a treat because the food is guilty pleasure delish.

Simple, un-assuming little restaurant located in historic Weston, Missouri. I would recommend you try it out. Menu had mostly bar/pub-food selections w/ a sizable KC bbq section (ribs, pulled pork, brisket). I ordered the loaded fries - hand cut fries w/ pulled pork on top, cheese sauce (home-made, not from a can) and bbq sauce. Good flavor and a good portion, as well. Looking forward to trying other items from their menu. Restaurant ambience is also good - cozy and classy. They also have a bar at the other end of the bldg, separated from the restaurant.
Don't need to go all the way to KC to get terrific BBQ. We went to the adjoining bar the night before and could smell the meat already smoking for the next day. All of the meats come with a dry rub and no sauce. My partner and I split a rack of ribs and all three sides available. The ribs had a great smoke ring and needed no extra sauce because the flavor was so strong. The sides were nothing to write home about as the meat was the real star. Also FYI a side of fries can probably feed 3 people.
Adorable little restaurant in the heart of Weston. On a Saturday night expectedly busy. Our waitress warned us before ordering that there may be a 30+ minute wait. It was so worth it. I ordered t h e TK burger that was Basicly a burger with pulled pork and onion ring on top. Delish! Small menu with limited options, but I would definitely stop here again!

What a surprising delight! Many places around the KC area offer pleasant aesthetics & charm, but few offer that, fantastic customer service AND culinary delight. We were more than pleased all the way around. We were steered their direction by a local winery. Recently having moved here from CA, I had never been to Weston before. I will be forever grateful to the winery for calling the Vineyard to my attention. The service was above par. The restaurant was marginally full but the gal serving us had no problem spending time discussing our many options on the menu & a few that weren't. From what we could tell, the chef likes to experiment with different recipes & we really like that idea. We both ordered brunch items & champagne. A bottle was the way to go for $32 when 1 mimosa is $8. My boyfriend ordered a Braised Beef Omelet with Mushrooms Caramelized Onions and Smoked Gouda Cheese Served with Sautéed New Potatoes. The beef was super tender & the smoked gouda was amazing! It does seem like it could get a little warm but she did mention she was working on that. It looked like she had a few air conditioners installed. This is a very old building/house with lots of windows people so with that said, it could get a little warm. Knowing that...you may just have to get there early! ;-)
The food at the Vineyard restaurant is outstanding but the rest of my experience prevents me from wanting to return. I was with a small group one Sunday morning. We arrived promptly at the time of our reservation to an empty restaurant. Our hostess seated us next to the windows that face the street instead of the (dark) interior of the restaurant. While this may be delightful in the spring, in December the windows and the door to the tiny restaurant let in an uncomfortable chill. Soldiering on, we ordered our brunch items (all off the menu, nothing more exotic than sandwiches, eggs and the soup of the day) and waited for our meal to arrive. And waited. And waited. Having visited before we knew this was not a speedy restaurant, but it became almost comical. After the server refilled our water glasses for the third time I began to wonder if we would ever eat. At the 30 minute mark we were given bread and butter so cold it was un-spreadable. 25 minutes later our food arrived. My soup - which should have arrived with the bread - instead came with my turkey sandwich and small salad. The highlight of the meal was the in-shell clam chowder - delicate, thin, and simply outstanding. However, in the meantime my warm artisanal sandwich became congealed cheese on dry turkey. YUM. If I had taken any longer with my chowder and salad, the sandwich probably would have formed icicles. My dining companions agreed that the food was good but not great and certainly not worth almost an hour wait on a chilly porch. An additional word of caution for those who are less-than-spry: After finishing our meal, we each decided to visit the powder room. The restroom, like the kitchen, is at the bottom of some perilously steep stairs. Anyone with a balance problem would surely fall. Unfortunately, after 4 refills of water none of us could wait until our next stop. I'm not certain how this restaurant can claim to be handicap-accessible - at least to anyone not sitting on the back, outdoor patio.
We were directed toward this restaurant by many in Weston. The temperature inside the restaurant was not cool. The outside temperature was 109..............the restaurant had some air circulating from fans, but honestly it was stifling in every room. The salmon was good, but nothing to call thei location the 'best place to eat in the KC area'. I'd have to disagree. I felt the portions were OK, but the prices were not. I've had much better food and service at V Mertz in Omaha. I won't return to The Vineyard any day soon. It just isn't notable.

My family and I have been to Weston before, but never to the Weston Cafe. We loved it! I got the pancakes, which were great and my husband got the skillet. AMAZING! Needless to say, we were all fighting over getting a bit. The gravy was fantastic (because you never know with gravy) and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. Great find!
The wife and I were first time visitors to Weston, Mo today. After a full morning and afternoon of shopping and sight seeing we asked a local where the best lunch in town was? We ended up at the Weston Cafe ordering a local lunch favorite; pork tenderloin sandwich. We split this meal and still left with to go boxes. With iced teas and a side of fries we still ate for less than fifteen bucks. Service was good and the place was clean.
Very old school place. Kind of a shock when we opened the door and saw people smoking :) Having to walk through the smoking section to get to non-smoking was on the strange side, but I can see why they made that choice - the smoking section was full, but we had the non-smoking section to ourselves. Service was truly superb. Fast, friendly, attentive (but not too). Went for breakfast. Two attempts, but they are closed Mondays. Glad we went back on Tuesday. The pancakes were outstanding. Apparently cooked in bacon fat. Absolutely delicious, and cooked perfectly. Chicken fried steak was also terrific. Excellent coffee. If we're back in the Leavenworth area, we'll be visiting here again.
