Great waitress, excellent service, food and atmosphere. I would definitely come back.
I haven't dined here in years, but I get carry-out fairly regularly. The food is consistently good, and I don't have to worry about whether they'll get my order right. (Something that simple shouldn't be an issue, but there are a lot of places around here where it is...) My only complaint would be that the wait time sometimes ends up being much longer than they say. (Sometimes 30-40 minutes - yikes!) Which is a real pain when I need to grab my order and get back to work, but at least the food still comes out hot and fresh, and it's what I ordered. All things considered, it's one of the better places in the area. Just try to avoid the lunch hour crowd if time is a factor.
Again a five star review is not a five-star restaurant it's just five stars for what they claim to be. Everything was really really really good, from the service to the food. Haven't been here in a long time but I'm happy to say that it exceeded my expectations. We had eggplant Parmesan for an appetizer, tutto mare, pizza and of course the salad. Everything was delicious

I love Junie Moon's, and I go there every chance I get! I love to eat there for breakfast on the weekends, lunch, and dinner. The service is great at Junie Moon's and the atmosphere is fun. It is a wonderful place to dine.
I've been there 4 or 5 times. I get the Roast Beef sandwich every time. I feel I can't go there and not get it. I don't get to Union but once a month so if we go there I actually crave the roast beef as we drive up HWY 50. The beef is SO tender it's like it was cooked for days.. the bread is delicious.. homemade chips nice and crisp. Can't wait to go again.. maybe one day I'll try something else.
Junie Moon has the modern Country Cafe thing DOWN! Huge Portions at very reasonable prices, with great down-home service in a cute medium sized location. We dined there on Saturday, March 7, 2015, and we were very happy we did. We were in town at a band competition, and I had been hearing about Junie Moon for some time. We invited some other folks to go as well, which they did later on that night, and they were very happy as well. I had a great Cheddar BBQ Burger (on some great upscale roll), my wife had a French Dip, and my Daughter the Buffalo Wrap (which also provided lunch the next day for her with what was left!) We also enjoyed some very good Fried Pickles. All the servers were experienced and dedicated, working very hard with the unexpected amount of business the band competition brought. I felt for the owner, as the credit card machine went down, but he was a trooper dealing with what folks could do and letting folks send him checks if they did not have cash to cover. Junie Moon, we will be back, and we will tell others about you!

Good food! The service is always good and the food tastes good. It's a great atmosphere and very clean also. The place is set up very inviting and festive.
They may have changed the name and brightened the decor, but oat importantly, the food is still delicious.
I have been to El Ranchito probably 100 times or more since they have opened. It is far and away my favorite mexican resturant in the greater St. Louis area. All of the staff is wonderful, friendly, and fast. The chimichangas are wonderful, and the margaritas are even better! The trek out to Union might be a little bit long for some of you, but trust me, it is worth it. Especially if your usual place would be something like El Maguey, or something similiar. When you go be sure to ask for Travis, Jesse, or Joe, you won't regret it!

Domenic’s Ristorante and Social Club

116 S Oak St
Union, 63084
Reviews:
From the outside, and heck, even from inside, Domenic's doesn't look like anything special. However, the food was a pleasant surprise, especially for the area. Since moving to Franklin County, we have been disappointed in the quality of dining options, but Domenic's is a rare bright light. There is room for improvement, but I would send family and friends here in a heartbeat. We arrived just after 4:30pm after an errand at the government center. Walking downtown Union was nice, a cute small town atmosphere. Walking around the corner to the restaurant, it was tucked away and so unimpressive that my heart sank as we walked up. I had wanted Mexican, but my honey chose Italian, so here we were. We walked in and it was nearly empty, but it's early I told myself, and bonus, we had our choice of tables. Our waitress, while very sweet, was obviously new. She stumbled over the pronunciation of the menu items, and didn't know the answers to the questions I asked. However, she found out, and I could tell she was trying her best. We started with Toasted Ravioli, well, we meant to, but our waitress came out and told us that it had just come in and would be delayed. I was a little disappointed that this meant they obviously didn't make them fresh. However, when they finally came out, they reminded me of the ones we had bought in a store on the Hill and made ourself. However, the marinara was by far the highlight. I used the bread to eat all of it. One of the best I've ever had. For our main courses, I had the Tony Pesto and my honey had the Nona Maria Pesca. Each came with salad. I got the house salad and my honey tried the Caesar. Both were good, nothing amazing, but I was slightly disappointed that the salad came with the dressing on them and we were not asked what type of dressing we wanted. Luckily, I wanted the house dressing and it was good and not too overly drenched. I really liked the salami strips, it really made the salad more special. Both pastas were yummy. The pesto sauce on mine was definitely creamy, but I loved every bite. My honey's seafood was well prepared. I am normally not a fan of seafood in pasta, but my honey really enjoyed it, and my test bite was pretty good. Everything was well prepared, well seasoned, and at the perfect temperature. We ordered some cannoli to go which were very good, but the tubes were a bit crunchier than I would have preferred, but still delish! Overall, we were very impressed and if you're in the area, Domenic's is worth a visit.

Pizza Hut

Reviews:
This is a rare, eat-in Pizza Hut. I've been here for the lunch buffet twice (the only pizza I have eaten away from my own kitchen in over a year) and I have to say that I am impressed with their pizza. Many buffets don't cook their pies long enough, sacrificing standards for hurding people through. This PH's Thins are perfectly crunchy while allowing for toppings to retain their flavor and texture. Their hand tossed has always been right-on, and their pan style (which I rarely-to-almost never eat) is actually very decent. They keep 6 pies of various styles and ingredients going, plus some kind of pasta and breadsticks, and a small but well-kept salad bar. I've encountered the same servers each time and they are friendly and helpful, and don't let your drinks go empty! They really could do a better job cleaning the booths, with plenty of pizza bits between the slats, and dirty silverware underneath, but the table tops are usually kept looking nice and it doesn't otherwise seem dirty to me.

Terrible! Best word. Worst burger I ever had. Tasted like a frozen patty nuked till done, mushy. Bread was hard to chew, as well. Potato salad tasted like it came from Walmart. Very disappointed! Avoid at all cost!
Had a great Italian grinder here. French onion soup is great too. Service was outstanding. This place is now called Johnny's. I tried to add to Yelp but so far hasn't shown up. I guess if you just use this Adress you will find it.
Great place. Has changed name and menu style. It is now Johnny's and has more of a sports bar type atmosphere and menu.
