For $10 you'll get some good fried chicken from the buffet. But, for a $10 buffet, I'd expect there to be WAY more items. Let's see if I can remember them all from memory: Fried Chicken, green beans, rolls, two desserts, mashed potatoes, maybe corn, a pork and bean soup, and a couple other things more at the maximum. Seriously, that is their $10 buffet. I'm sure this place feels they can charge that much because all the old farmers in the area pay it, but I call BS. I will not go back.

Country fried steak good here, service was nice for near closing time on a Saturday evening after a day out in the Amish worth the stop if you are nearby

Good home style cooking. Need to return about ten more time so I can try all the items I think I would like.

Once a month my mom and I come here to eat breakfast or lunch. There is a reason why we come here repetitively it's great homemade food and pies. Wants some homemade fried chicken come Thursdays!

This place has changed owners. For a place out in the middle of nowhere, it is as good as it gets for around here. I went for their Friday buffet, and it was awesome. I have eaten at many restaurants (grew up in CA), and this place was yummy! It was awesome that my kids (5 and under) got to eat their buffet for free. Eating for free is always a plus! They had pork ribs (didn't try), catfish, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and peach cobbler. The catfish is the best around! It melts in your mouth. The fried chicken was finger-lickin' good! The buffet is also affordable ($10-11). If this place wasn't good, then why is the parking lot and restaurant packed?!

If you are looking for friendly service, an inexpensive weekday (evening) buffet, and lots of fried foods, this is your place. We wandered in, and it seemed everyone knew everyone except us! This is not of course a restaurant for a vegetarian---Most of the entrees are deep fried, and other than two types of deep-fried seafood, the buffet carried ribs 'n gravy, lotsa fried chicken, a moderate-sized salad bar, and a soup (with beef). It looked wonderful as it walked by us on the plates of the many evening diners. However, we opted for the fried catfish (senior priced @ $6 - $7) with "texas toast" and two sides (coleslaw was very nice; onion rings were a little too done, but tasty). I cannot say enough about how nice everyone here is. We tried it about 7 or 8 years ago when it first opened. The menu seems to have a few more non-fried choices now, plus the pies (I suspect they are Amish-made) look wonderful. This is just "plain good cookin'", nothing fancy, and there's nothing else for miles around, so it's worth trying a couple of times. I would wish for: ---more vegetable choices (not cooked in oils or seasoned with fat) ---fewer fried choices, or the choice of grilled or baked ---on the buffet: healthier choices Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals, so I'm probably in the minority with my wish list. Anyway, this place (across Highway 22 from the old Colliers Junction Cafe) is about 14 miles from Moberly (north on Highway 63) and about 10 miles from Centralia (east on Highway 22). It is closed on Tuesdays. You can check with the restaurant to find out the hours of the buffet on weekends; on weekdays, it is from 4 - 8 p.m.
