Cannot praise this place enough. Great food, great prices from Fast Train lunch specials, to more formal fare. Wabash Wedge salad is addictive. Menu changes each Wednesday, but they keep certain core items. Closed Mon/Tues....and only open first Sunday of month for their Sunday buffet, which is both breakfast and dinner/lunch type. Plenty of variety. And the servers are awesome. You will not be disappointed with The Wabash Junction.

On the food alone this place rocks. The atmosphere is a little hollow, but it is awesome to see a place get as much local ingredients as possible and doing great things with them. They list their sources on a chalk board. The waiters were super nice as well. I have a daily special... roasted chicken sliders that were decadent with rendered chicken fat and seasoning. They almost made me forget about beef. Almost. ;-) They had potato bacon fritters for a side when I was there. How can I pass up those... with cheese and bacon? They were like twice baked potato hush puppies!

The best restaurant in Gentry County! I really enjoyed our lunch. I hope that they are able to keep going with such a s small population to support them. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The food was awesome but the atmosphere was didn't match the food. Usually food and atmosphere go together but not at this place, the food was too awesome. A must if you're anywhere close.

Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Wish there was room for dessert. It sounded great too. I has broccoli cheese & warm chicken spinach salad. Husband did the soup & salad all you can eat. Wished there was more room. Would have liked to try the baked potato too. Next te. Even tho it is 1 & 1/2 hours, we will be back regularly.

Our family was in town for a funeral and we decided to have lunch here all together. Wabash Junction was more than accomodating; we had a private room, a buffet style wonderful dinner, and the most wonderful service! They made a difficult day for our family a little easier and we appreciate them so much! I am highly recommending them to anyone who will listen! Great food, great service!

This is a fine restaurant that offers terrific food value. You will find this is not your regular small town diner as the menu features some really nice items that are prepared nicely and in generous portions. Katie Palmer and Jason Thomas are trained chefs and the presentations make that clear. The staff is very friendly and help to make for a pleasant dining experience. Prices are very reasonable and offer great value. A nice feature is that each table gets a plate of cheese biscuits during the dinner hour. The biscuits are very tasty and add to the dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Well worth the beautiful drive! What a delightful find in Stanberry MO. The Wabash Junction would be a proud addition in Kansas City, but their loss is a great addition to northwest Missouri. Their concept of "farmer fresh to Chef" produced a delicious meal for me and my husband. My sirloin and shrimp was so fresh and tender and the cheese sauce, fresh green beans were wonderful accompaniments. My husband had the bean and ham soup and trout amandine. The soup was loaded with ham and very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient, food was delicious and fresh. Definitely deserves 5 stars and the beautiful drive makes this a must try restaurant.
