I was visiting Springfield and my husband and I had the privilege of being treated to dinner here! The staff was fantastic and the food was phenomenal! My guys especially enjoyed the fact that James Bond movies from decades ago we're playing on the big screen while we were eating :-) Atmosphere is fun and relaxing. If we're ever in Springfield again we will definitely be back!

Located on walnut with great ambiance. The bar is very inviting surrounded by high tops and small tables. Wednesday has wine specials and Thursday are cocktail specials. Great place to meet friends and catch up or finish your evening after dinner.

What a nice downtown place to enjoy a cocktail and actually be able to carry on a conversation. Very comfortable atmosphere, friendly wait staff. One of the true gems in Springfield.

I've only been a few times, but each time has been grand. Each time I've gotten something different, but I always have absinthe. There are a few places that serve absinthe in Springfield, but here they serve it using the flame method using an absinthe fountain. The staff is friendly and attentive. They do have a few veg friendly options and a few of the items they can alter to make them veg friendly. I'll be back and I'm bringing friends.

For months we've been told that we needed to go to Ophelia's. We finally made it in for my birthday outing and I really wish we'd gone sooner! The champagne cocktail I ordered was the most perfect thing I've had the pleasure to quaff. We also had a wine flight that was amazing. The food was yummy and the menu excellent as a go-with to their extensive drinks menu. Service was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. I really enjoyed the fact that they had couches to sit on as I am nursing an SI joint injury and chairs are too hard for me. Instead of getting antsy to leave d/t pain I was able to lounge in comfort and leave when we felt we had done the menu justice for one night. Great decor, great atmosphere. It was very romantic and casually elegant. My only regret is that we did not visit sooner and now we are hoping to move soon. Ophelia's we'll be back asap! Wish I could take you with us.

Ophelia your breakin my heart your shaking my confidence daily. We needed a casual tapas bar that had old whiskey, young ideas and a cozy corner to explore wise ideas. Ophelias has all of this in spades. The Humus is a bit thick and this is the ONLY thing keeping it from being a 5 star joint. I have often said "God bless the chickpea" and now I guess I need to add the humble grape seed oil. For the love of god people it's humus not chickpea play-doh. We also had the roasted garlic cloves in olive oil and bread, sweet googely moogely roasted garlic cloves dancing in a virgin olive oil never tasted so good. These were roasted to sweet and earthy perfection. This little delight was followed by the pan seared garlic sherry beef tenderloin, which despite it's size (it is a tapas bar after all) was tender juicy and delicious, flaked with little bits of garlic. I just noticed I have ingested enough garlic tonight they may have to stop calling me Irishman and start calling me guido. Oh the shame. Although the upside is I don't have to worry about getting molested by a vampire on our way home. The last bit of food we had was Mrs. Lovett,s meat pie. This was about as good as an old fashioned meat pie gets. It was filled with large meaty chunks and more than a bit of Gorgonzola cheese. The herbs and seasonings danced on my tongue like a long lost friend stopping by to say hi and maybe stay on my couch for night. It was magnificent. All this was complimented by the fact they have Guinness on tap, a nice reisling for my true love and 2 glasses of 18 year old Irish whiskey for us to toast the days worries away. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. She made recommendations and stopped by just enough to make sure we were well taken care of but not so much as to be a burden. The jazz playing in the background takes you to a place where all the men wear hats and the food is something to be enjoyed. To paraphrase a great man "If food be the music of love play on". Play on indeed Ophelia's we will gladly dance many times here.

Delicious! Our favorite was the roasted asparagus and prosciutto tapa, and the hey babe salad. Also ate the Brie and puff pastry, and balsamic Brie and pear puff pastry. Everything was great!

Finally getting around to writing this. Ophelia's was a great place to start off our Saturday night. Kit S. met up with Candice M. (future Yelper) and I to give the place a whirl. The ambiance and decor was amazing even though I expected it to be a bit darker than it was, I do that from time to time, and the Music didn't seem to fit the theme. Everything else was amazing. The wines I tried were great with a huge selection. They have some great imported Beers that I felt weren't too overly priced The cheese plate was awesome. Everyone there was super friendly. The Bathrooms were even cool. I don't think I could afford to go there every day, But if I could I just think I might. The comment was make several time throughout the evening, "Now that's some good Ganoush) :) enjoy

Visited again about a week ago and had an even better experience this time. The cheese plate with fruit was excellent. The "small" is plenty of food for 2 hungry people. The rosemary almonds were delicious. I really like that this place is child-free. It makes for a much more peaceful atmosphere.

Maybe the fact that we were there on New Year's Eve accounts for the fact that the food was at best mediocre, but my guess is not. Every dish I ordered was middle of the road -- not too adventurous yet not too bland. The hummus was too garlicky, the smoked trout dry beyond belief and the sun-dried tomato pesto cream cheese (can't remember the gastronomic name) was delish. Service was good, wine list great. This place has potential, focus on the food and take a trip to Barcelona for a little inspiration.

I had high hopes for the re-opening of Ophelias. Unfortunaty the new Ophelias is just as disappointing as the old one. On a saturday nite, early evening, they were out of portabellas, and also out of babaganoush. How can a place run out of its popular items so early on one of its busiest nights? The food was mediocre except for the asparagus. The hummus was bland and flavorless. Not a good place for groups. Service was borderline/marginal. Also over priced, especially considering the quality. The drinks were ok and they do have a great wine and beer list. I give it 6-8 months tops before it closes again.
