Times Eaten-2 Been here twice in order to use a gift card. Yes, I am trying to rationalize going here. Culvers appears to be a mix between a Dairy Queen and a Brahms. A few positives for the people who have not been here: they have a lot of options for food, they do nice beer-battered style onion rings, and their root beer is pretty good. They are known for their butter burgers, but in my opinion they are not better than Hardee's-and there you get curly fries...Funny story, I asked for my burger without pickles, then, they brought me my burger-with a goddamn pickle stuck on top with a tooth pick. I've tried their philly-steak, fried shrimp, and cheese burger. Their philly is very OK tasting, offered up on soggy bread, with two-three onions a piece of provolone. It definitely ranks below a Fazolis or Arbys philly. Their fried shrimp was honestly the worst shrimp I've ever had-even worse than Captain Ds. They are seasoned with some sort of mix that the devil himself would not feed to people in hell. Their custard is pretty bland, at best, and does not work to salvage a bad meal-Go to Andys. They also play country music. This place is starting to look a little bit like my own personal hell the more I think about it. So if you have to go, get a burger, a root beer, and onion rings and you might make it out without being pissed.

Perfect cheese burger every time. By far my fave fast food cheeseburger. Always fresh and they always get my order correct unlike some other fast food restaurants. They never disappoint!

Been craving a good old fashioned greasy cheeseburger and fries so stopped to check out culvers. I have never been here before or any other location. Service with a smile. ...clean place, and though far from greasy, a pretty good burger and fries indeed.

Excellent food and service. The employees all seemed to take pride in their work, even the guy cleaning the bathrooms.

I usually like Culver's, but they should not use the same fryer oil for french fries and fish. My fries tasted strongly of fish.

Nice workers and fine customer service. Check. Tasty custard. Check. Delicious cheese curds. Check. Cheeseburger that looks like the picture on the box. Ummm. Not check? I love Culver's more than a person probably should, and this is a perfectly fine location. That being said, I won't order burgers from this Culver's because they put the burger on upside down. I opened my cheeseburger and was a little confused when I saw: bun; dry part of burger patty; cheese; lettuce et. al.; and finally, bun. Now, I've had more than one Culver's burger in my lifetime; in fact, it was pretty much my salvation (and my fitting wardrobe's downfall) when I studied for the Illinois Bar. And with those other burgers, I've always received them in the following order: bun; cheese-on-top burger patty; dry part of burger patty; lettuce et.al .; and finally, bun. Even the picture on the box--e.g., if you order a Culver's double deluxe burger like the boyfriend did--shows the burgers in the latter form of preparation that I described. So, why or why does this Culver's prepare the burger in a way that I can't stand. I don't know. It can't really be a difference-in-franchise thing if you're putting the burgers in a box that represents a preparation different than what is served to the customers, so I think this is honestly an error in training. This has happened more than once to the extent that I won't order a burger from this Culver's anymore. I guess on a positive note my jeans thank me each time I opt for the pot roast sandwich instead (tasty and under 400 calories) of a burger. So, I ask you Culver's in Springfield: can't you just make a burger like the picture on the box or on the website or like any other Culver's I've been to? Huh? Huh????

We love to eat here-- Have all Employees wear their hats Forward on their heads--If you want to be a tough guy, yeah right, go work on the corner somewhere else--and don't work at a place that has so much goodness about it..

One of the best places in Springfield to get a burger! New variations are added all the time! And the frozen custard they serve is amazing! One of my favorite places to eat in Springfield! And on another note, the owner shows you how it's supposed to be done. I've seen the guy behind the grill, at the register, at the drive-thru, wiping down tables... You name it, he does it. I wish more owners would put in the work ethic and be as great an example as he does!

As far as fastfood hamurgers go, I don't think I've had anything better than a Culver's butterburger. The double with bacon and cheese was outstanding. Great flavor and toppings done right. The mushroom Swiss burger was skimpy, with few mushrooms and not much cheese. I'd stick with the plain bugers, as they are tasty enough. The fries are okay. Better than Wendy's, not as greasy as BK, but no where near the standard set by McD's. The best part is that burgers are made to order and delivered to your table. Of couse, deserert makes the meal and I don't think there is a better fastfood desert than Culver's custard. Is it the best frozen custard anywhere? Of course not. But for fastfood it's way above average. They have all the classic toppings, so you can have it plain or as a sundae. What more could anyone want?

I come here often with my co-workers and I can't complain too much since I never pay for it. But, I guess that's the point... I wouldn't come here if I had to pay for it. The food is so-so... the fries are so-so... the location and the actual restaurant itself... so-so. The Culver's root beer is awesome! The service is also fantastic. If you go, I would say keep an open mind and an open bottle of tums nearby.

When I was disappointed that they didn't deliver, the owner said that he would and he brought to our hungry group for FREE. The fried chicken was great, crispy skin and juicy inside. Didn't expect such good chicken from a custard place. The owner also brought 2 pints of custard, also FREE. KUDOS and will be back again and again. Thank you

Home of the "Butter Burger" ... Butter Burger, what in the world is a Butter Burger you might ask yourself? Well, I'll tell you, that I have no flipping clue except to draw the obvious conclusion that they cover their burgers in butter and cook them, UM-UM-GOOD. All I know is this, You might have to wait a second or two more to get your burger that a lot of the other quick burger joints, but that's because THEY"RE ACTUALLY MAKING IT FOR YOU! and it's worth the wait, I have never had anything I was ever disappointed with and continue to keep it on my lunch rotation of restaurants to this day.
