I so wish this place was in a better location for the business owners sake. I absolutely love great authentic Mexican. This is the place!!!!! Not only is the food amazing but the hospitality from the owners is by far the most humble and grateful I've ever experienced. I have only eaten the Taco de azada but I honestly rank these tacos among the best. The cilantro, onions, and azada are perfectly cut and proportioned perfectly on the tortilla. I will definitely be back to this awesome little hole in the wall. In closing I hope to see this little gem thrive and for more Ozark/Nixa natives come give this place a try. These tacos are Amaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzing.
On my first trip to Taqueria Garcia, I tried to read the menus to decipher what was what, and found that it was a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy... and so on. It was impossible to read, but it was charming. So I offered to help out with the menu design. That is how I came to be Taqueria Garcia's graphic designer. I don't normally do that particular kind of design work (I'm a painter- not a designer), but I love the people there and TG had a particular happy vibe that really inspired me. I've uploaded pictures of the menus, and the hours so people can read it. They do take out, but not delivery as far as I know. There are a thousand little quirky things about Taqueria Garcia that I like. The orange walls are very different, happy and bold, but reflect Wendy Garcia's personality perfectly. There are little metal flowers around on the walls, and only a few tables so you have to get there while the getting is good or order it as take out. Wendy serves her (very fresh) salsa from a coffee pot. It is a strange sight to behold indeed, yet another cute little quirk. The chips are the good kind too. Crispy, crunchy but somewhat thin so you don't get too full on chips before you get your food. Since I visit TG every time the menus or signs need changing, I have ended up trying a lot of the menu. All of it is incredibly authentic and fresh. My personal favorites are the Burrito Asada and the Cubana Torta. So much food for so little money, and it's so delicious. Seriously- next time you get a craving for a good sandwich, try the Tortas. They're served on this giant round piece of bread and they are absolutely packed with veggies, queso and meat. I've never been able to finish one in one single sitting. I am not a fan of cold shrimp, but my father adores the shrimp cocktails there- and I have to say, their shrimp cocktails are just about enough to make me see the light. I also credit Taqueria Garcia for teaching me to love Mexican rice. That was one of those foods that I never really liked until I tried it here. This is how it is meant to taste. Also, if you have never tried Jarittos Soda, I highly recommend it. Why can't they make soda that tastes that good in the US? They tend to have only a few flavors at one time so be sure to ask which ones are available when you visit. If I were to say there's one thing wrong with Taqueria Garcia, it would be that they need to expand and get more space and tables. Right now they're somewhat a well-kept secret, but they seem to be getting more popular these days and it can be hard to get a table.
TORTAS Asada (Steak) is cut into such tiny pieces it's hard to get a feel of teeth tearing through steak which is part of the tactile experience of eating red meat. I've had the TORTAS al pastor before and will order that again with its slightly sweet pineapple marinade of the pork! Buns are homemade and freshly soft on the outside while crispy fried on the inside!

The nicest people!!! The best place to feed kids!!! And the grownups can actually eat edible food, too! If you want to reserve "the room" you can even have a meeting or whatever. If you are feeding a lot of people, like a school group, they will make you a deal. Their delivery is fine, too.
Since the closing of Mazzio's in Ozark there has been no good pizza buffets in town other than Pizza Hut (and that ain't good). A nice clean place to eat, smallish, but relatively quickly filled food bar with pasta, pizza, salad and desert. They have a small game room in the back finally giving Ozark a decent place to throw a birthday party for the kids.
Yum!!! $8 Buffett and great monkey bread to end with! Very kid friendly-game room so warning to parents; bring a few quarters or be strong! Food was worth the price for sure and staff was friendly :-)

The sushi is yummy...& if you like General's Chicken-- theirs is deelish!!! They also have specials each night. Love this place!!!
First time trying and was pleasantly surprised! Great friendly service and food was brought out fast! We had chicken hibachi, teriyaki chicken and sweet and sour chicken and all our dishes were fresh and delicious! Will definitely go back and bring friends!
Funny story (at least IMO) of how we found OZMO. While on a flight I was reading a book. The principal subject in the book stopped by a Korean take out multiple times for Bulgogi. Having never heard of that, I was curious. At home that weekend I was looking at a local publication that reviews new restaurants in our area. To my surprise, they mentioned Bulgogi in the review of OZMO. I immediately told my wife that we had to go there. OZMO has been one of our favorite places ever since. We have enjoyed everything there. The Bulgogi is my favorite! I've now tried Bulgogi other places however none have been as good as OZMO. Another favorite is the Monster Roll that comes in three sauces. Flash fried, this is one that we have introduced several people to that don't think they like sushi. I can't heap sufficient praise on OZMO to adequately describe the experience! This would have been 5 stars however the service is inconsistent.

Good Mexican food, way too much to choose from on the menu! We always get lost and can't remember what we ordered last time, but haven't been disappointed, ever. Occasionally there's a strolling guitar player, which you may or may not like, but he's always polite and will step back if you are not interested in being serenaded. Service is top notch and if you can bear to hold back for the dessert, they have a flan or cheesecake chimicanga to die for.
Good food and pretty good price all if their food tastes very fresh and so far everything I have tried has been great
I was on a road trip and decided to pull off. Glad I did. My ground beef burrito was awesome. Great lunch menu and prices. Wait staff very helpful, and attentive.

Village Inn

All Village Inns are not created equal but lucky for us this VI reigns supreme! The staff is great, the coffee pretty decent, and the food scrumptious! I always end up getting the VIB and my kids love the smiley pancakes. It is also one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been to. I was skeptical, but WOW it is well worth your money!
ok i like village inn, BUT I absolutely hate waiting to be seated for 15 minutes in a half empty restaurant. when its jam packed thats understandable. but when there is literally 20 wiped down ready to seat tables, don't make me wait for 15 damn minutes to be seated. on a side note food was delic once we finally got it..
Village Inn seems to always have the best breakfast. At this location I tried the new Spinach Bacon omelette. It was tasty! The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. It did seem like some of the seating was cramped which is the reason for the 4 stars. Other than that it was a great place right off the highway. Good for any travelers or a meeting place between two other area cities.

Not too bad Chinese joint they give a generous amount of chicken with their meals. Averages around $5 a person. Their crab rangoo is okay but everything else is great My fiancé loves their bourbon chicken. Also only Chinese place open on Sundays in ozark but closed Monday
Ate there yesterday for lunch and it was ok. Had the combination lo mien and it was good. Really good crab ragoon, ok egg roll. Food came out at a decent pace so that was nice for the lunch hour. This is an order at the counter then they bring the food to you joint so don't expect to be wined and dined.
So as you know, I"m a sucker for Springfield cashew chicken. My all time favorite place is Hong Kong Inn on the north side of Springfield, off of Glenstone and Division. Friends of mine who live in Ozark advised that they opened a location in their town. I thought this would be fantastic because we are always in south Springfield, Nixa or Ozark when we visit. The drive to north Springfield can seem like torture after driving the 8 1/2 hours from Chicago. We stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon. I think it was around 3pm. My first clue should have been there was not another soul in this place. I asked the cashier if this place was the same as my favorite spot in Springfield. She said "yes, the sister owns this store and all the recipes are the same." The menu was very similar if not exactly the same and the prices were close or identical as well. One thing I hate about these two places, is that they charge you for drink refills. So you get a cup full of ice with just a little bit of soda or tea in it. Then you start to eat the salty food and you have to go back to the counter a couple times during the meal to have numerous 25 cent charges added to you debit. I find this super annoying. increase the cost of soda and make refills free or for the love of god, ease up on the ice. Rant over....... So back to the food. I'm only basing this on the cashew chicken meal and crab rangoons. It was very similar, but it wasn't the same. The only thing that tastes exactly the same for me was the egg roll. Trust me on this one, I've been going to the other one since the 90's. So it wasn't super awful like our experience at the China King, but it was super disappointing. If you are going to represent yourself as one in the same, you need to make sure everything is made exactly the same. If you live in the area and can get to the one on the north side whenever you want, and this is just a quick fix for a day, yeah go ahead and eat here. If you live out of town and you want the stuff you grew up on, make the drive to the restaurant on the north side of town. Any substitution here will just be met with disappointment. One great thing about this place was the cashier. She was super friendly and helpful. That's something you really don't get at the other location, just sayin'.......
