My friends took me here for the "all you can eat catfish" on Friday. It was delicious and melts in your mouth. The price was reasonable and there were many sides to choose from. The sides I chose were broccoli and cauliflower salad and sweet potato fries.

Vegas Burritos is tied with Dos Arcos for the best restaurant in Mexico, MO. The wait staff is extremely nice and attentive and the entrees are both unique and delicious. The atmosphere could use a bit of work (particularly the wood paneling, but all in good time). Good service also is extremely quick. I would probably give them five stars if the dining area got a makeover. Atmosphere is important to my dining experience.

I don't know how they do it, but this Taco Bell seems to hire the most cheerful, fast, and hardworking employees. Other than forgetting to ask if I want any sauce they have never messed up my order. The food is always fresh and hot.

I LOVE this place, my favorite place in Mexico, MO. The staff is always really friendly and their burgers are great. My absolute favorite dish there is the gyro skillet, I get it every time and it's always delicious and filling. But don't forget to save room for their homemade style pie! Then walk over to the cinema and see a show. :) (Don't be fooled by the exterior, it's nice inside!)
First time in Mexico (MO), looking at furniture stores on a weekday, came in for lunch. (Winner: Greentop Furniture in Clark, MO, an Amish place owned by Elmer Yoder.) Assuming your expectations are set properly for a place called "Highway 54 Diner," it's great. I got a whole fried catfish, and chose salad (was fine...and comes with crackers?) and mashed potatoes for the included sides. I'll admit my surprise (I'm not from the midwest) when the waitress asked for my choice of gravy on the potatoes (chicken, brown, or white); couldn't resist requesting white. Had a bite of patty melt, too. Most of it was average for such food (2-3 stars), but the catfish was fantastic--moist, good-tasting flesh, nice crispy exterior (obviously not as light and delicate as the tempura in Japan, but not the excessively battered/oily type either)--didn't even need the lemon or tartar sauce. Didn't get to try the homemade pie, though, since this was an entire, whole catfish, and the white gravy potatoes were pretty filling, too. Waitress was nice. So: if you like fried catfish, do it; if not, it's ok; if none of this sounds good, you won't like it.
I generally have the fried chicken salad and have no complaints, but others in my party have had complaints each time we have eaten here. Burgers taste "strange", hair in food, etc. The one complaint I have personally is the bacon...it is terrible. Possibly the worst I have ever eaten. Everyone else in my party felt the same. With that being said, it is probably still one of the better places in town to eat (very sad). Atmosphere is pleasant and the waitstaff have always been friendly.

I ate here for weekday lunch and had the buffet, maybe I should have ordered off the menu! I'd rate this pizza somewhere slightly better than Chuck E. Cheese. In other words, I ate it because it was the only thing available. The crust was bland, the toppings sparse, and the sauce tasted like it was straight out of the can. The salad bar was small but fresh, and the people working there were very nice. But it's a pizza place, so the pizza should be the main thing. Someone told me I should have eaten at Coach's around the corner. I wish I had.
