Love this place. Licking is east of Ft Leonard Wood and about 45 minutes away on avg. Monica and her family are wonderful to visit with while your meal is being prepared. Remember to ask ifor the specials NOT on the menu, she usually has something in the kitchen. Her desserts if there are any left, are hand made and so good. We have had the LocoMoco, Bento Box-teriyaki ckn, Portuguese sausage & kahlua pig, and the most fantastic coconut custard filled cupcakes!

In case anyone is ever in or traveling through Licking, Missouri, make sure to stop in this Authentic Hawaiian restaurant! I know it's the only one for many many miles! And it's in the middle of no where! My husband and I ate here before going to Hawaii and now that we've been we really see how authentic it is. Not only the food, but the environment the owner provides.

This place is indeed an island of great, homemade Hawaiian food in the middle of the Ozarks. Owner and cook, Monica makes Hawaiian classics from scratch. Stopped by for "breakfast" mid afternoon and had some tasty loco moco (rice, burger, eggs, gravy) and portuguese sausage. Amazing to find such a place in a small town like Licking. Wonderful family atmosphere. Will be back for more next time I am down that way.

Ono in the Ozarks! I am amazed that more Soldiers & familes stationed nearby at Fort Leonard Wood do not take advantage of the delicious Hawaiian style food. Hundreds of GI's at the fort have been stationed in Oahu, and all love good plates served here like laulau, kahlua pork, coconut mochi, and Portuguese suasage soup!. OMG I saw that if you call ahead you can even get an order or two of Malasaladas! They've got a facebook page with a menu posted. if you are a Soldier who was stationed in Hawaii-then you gotta take your family here!
