Love it! Food is good. People are nice. This is a must every time we are close enough.

The food is so-so. Have been there twice and had the Hawaiian chicken on a rice pilaf first. The rice pilaf, in conjunction with the pineapple had a bitter taste so didn't eat the rice. Also had the philly steak which was on the dry side, and green beans which tasted as tho were made from frozen. Hubby had the okra which was a much better choice than my green beans.

This is a chain restaurant for lovers of mediocre steaks! The service was great but the food was fair to midland. Beer was cold and priced fair. If you're stuck in Kirksville this is one of your better options.

I was pleasantly surprised with Colton's. I had a tasty Ribeye that was cooked exactly how I requested. The service was fantastic. Multiple servers/manager stopped periodically to check on us. Food came out in reasonable time. One of the best options for sit down dining in Kirksville.

Steak wasn't that great. Seasoning was pretty bland. Our waiter was pretty nice, and wasn't rushing or pushing us out the door, even though we got there at 9:30 and didn't leave until almost 10:30.

The BBQ ribs were extremely mushy- badly overcooked and were only served at a lukewarm temperature. They had a strong porky flavor. I think they were left over from the day before. The smashed potatoes were also cold. The waiter admitted the food was not freshly made when I complained. 5 hours later I was sick from food poisoning! They do not store or serve the food at safe temperatures here. Beware.

The food was good but the service was so slow. We got there at about 4:30 pm on a Monday and the restaurant was fairly empty. There were a ton of employees standing around (training, maybe?) but it took way too long to get our food.

Good food. And any time there has been a problem or a mistake Colton's has always fixed their mistake and made up for it by either giving me all my money back and discount on my next visit.

The fried pickles were VERY SALTY. The Philly was mediocre and not very flavorful. The burgers, however, were fairly good.

I wasn't expecting much when I tried Coltons but it ended up being better than I thought it would be. It's not great, but it's not terrible either. I will say that they've definitely overdone the decor. The place is clean and well kept but wow - they're trying way too hard to give this place a Southern/Texan steakhouse feel. They give you a bucket of peanuts, which is a cute touch. You have to shell them yourself, and you get an extra bucket to throw away scraps. We had the onion blossom as an appetizer. It could have been a little fresher but the dip that went with it was good. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin steak with steamed veggies; this also came with yeast rolls. The rolls were sweet and nice, and the steak was on par with what you would get at Chili's. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. You can't really mess up steamed veggies. My husband got the Montana burger. He didn't care for the bacon, and he felt the beef could have been fresher, but the lettuce and tomato were actually very fresh and nice. Overall, he enjoyed it. The fries were probably frozen beforehand and weren't great. We went during lunch and with a soda, our total was about $25. For two entrees and an appetizer, I think that's pretty reasonable. I wouldn't go for dinner because I think the prices would be too high considering what you get, but I would go back for lunch. Overall, not bad.

Great beer selection. Matt behind the bar really knows his stuff. Thanks.

Nice place. Not exactly fine dining, but a good place to get a steak and a beer. You wont be disappointed.

I only give a 3 stars because of the bartender Matt, he is very personable and does a great job! If my review was based just on the food and not the staff I would never eat here. I have ordered the salmon salad 4 times and actually had it done right once. Tonight I had the "mesquite grilled chicken salad" and the chicken was BURNT! Might just have to start eating appetizers again, if they still had the bone in wings. Come on guys, this is a chain so there should be some consistency from place to place.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly hostess and server. The peanuts in the shell were a nice touch. (And tasty too!) I had the Onion Blossom as ,y app and it proved delicious. The "Loaded Chicken" was a disappointment but not overly so. Lots of bacon and cheese. The amount of bacon alone raised the Stars from 3 to 4. I would like to stop back by for a beer and/or whiskey at some point. I'll share that review as well.

Had a gift card here so we got appetizers: chipotle nachos...awesome. beans, jalapenos, etc. all great. Then we got the biscuits which were equally great. Steaks were so so. One sirloin and one rib eye. Just alright. But for desert the chocolate sin-sation was amazing, pulling this review up from 3 stars. Sides of sweet potatoes and sweet potato fries were good too

Seriously, everyplace should be able to at least to a few vegetarian options. But, evidently not.

I have been here at least half a dozen times. The Montana burger is always a solid choice. The steak is OK but nothing to write home about. I had the ribs the other day and they were not the best. Fun place to go with friends or family. Just average food.

This place is not horrible or anything. It seems very clean and seems like they have a decent running business. The menu was very typical of a steakhouse with your different types of steaks and your normal deep fried appetizers. I ordered the Ribeye and grilled shrimp, and this was a poor cut of meat. The Ribeye had way more fat then normal and the shrimp was waaaayy to overcooked. The shrimp was seasoned nicely, but there is not much in seasoning and it was on the grill 5 minutes longer then it should have been. From what I can tell, the only reason this place does well is because there is not an Outback, Chili's or another type of chained restaurant in the area.

Food was pretty good on my visit with a friend. We both had burgers. I asked for medium and it was a true medium which has impressed me. Most restaurants don't get medium right. Our server was attentive and very nice. Big negative for me was the fact that the floors are incredibly slippery. I get that part of the restaurant's allure is throwing the peanuts on the floor, but you can't just sweep them up. You have to actually mop the floor with soap and water. I nearly slipped and fell several times. Otherwise, I would definitely eat here again.

Food is terrible, but the appetizers and drinks are good and fairly priced. I won't ever get a meal here again, but I'll definitely keep going back for the apps; my favorite is the chipotle chicken nachos, mmmm.
