Stopped here based on yelp reviews. Food is good but the pies took me back to baking with my grandmother. The crust on the apple was flakey and the filling fresh not canned with the perfect cinnamon. The cherry crust was a work of art with crisscross crust that melted in your mouth Good food, homemade. Keep your eyes peeled for the white building on the west side of the road...and make a stop. Will be back on our next trip to KC

Best onion rings and homemade chips ever! Had a fantastic pork tenderloin. The service and food was outstanding and this is coming from a Houston TX gal (city of restaurants). Don't pass up this very rural cafe.

Don't let the sign fool you they're open just not on Monday ...7 in the morning 8 at night.. I thought I knew a good French toast was until I ate here... Friendly helpful staff

Check the map closely when you pull off. The restaurant is on the west side of the interstate. Really good food. Really good desserts. It would be a shame to miss it. I'm glad I asked for directions. There was corn in the cornbread, and the beans had been soaked long enough to sprout a little. Exactly what we needed.

I always like stopping by local cafes when I am on the road and this was a treat. Had the best Reuben I have ever had in my life and the fries were amazing as well. They also had watermelon tea which I have never had before which was very tasty as well. Would highly recommend anyone to try this cafe even if it is out of your way. Very well worth the stop. Pie looked amazing as well. Will have to try a piece next time I stop. Definitely gives me a reason to come by again.

Great little town cafe. Come on sat. Night and get the grilled catfish with the garlic butter. Worth the trip, and while you are at it get the mac and cheese as one of your sides.
