Great food, no doubt. I like this one much better than the festus location as far as the quality of the food goes....as far as service goes, I wasn't pleased. My friends & I sat at the bar & the bartender just wasn't attentive at all. Other than when my friends & I initially sat down, we had to flag her down for everything we needed. Aside from crappy service at the bar I can't complain.

I used to love this place when they first opened and the few years that followed. I was a regular and i raved about it to others. Then something happened and everything changed. It all started when i got a strawberry margarita that strongly tasted like it had beer in it and made me sick. They got progressivly worse and then finally lost me when i went with my husband and the salsa had a giant tomato core in it and tasted like tomato juice with jalepeno and our food was visibly old and had been microwaved. You could tell because of the nasty hard overcooked ring around the beans and they were room temp in the middle. I can eat out of the microwave at home for way cheaper. When i go out i expect better. Im not hard to please really. Ive always had restaurant jobs so i never complain or cause trouble i just pay tip and leave and hope it was just an off day but this place has definitely lost us for good.

We go to this location occasionally due to convenience. Typical Mexican food, always hot and consistent. Service is often slow, though, and the place has a somewhat nasty odor by default due to smoking allowed. We definitely do not go on the weekends because of a larger smoking crowd. But, in a pinch if we want to get out for a quick meal we will go. Best tip: go to the Festus or Arnold locations. Better air quality and service is faster.

Bland and underwhelming. Unfortunately this is the only Mexican restaurant that is close to where we live at the time. The service here has always been good for the most part. They have weird things like you can't substitute out broccoli for rice. Seems odd because I would think that rice is cheaper than broccoli. Anyway, the only thing that I have really liked somewhat is the Brothers Pizza. But even with that it is very hit or miss. The chips taste like something you would buy at the grocery store and is heated up in a warmer or on other occasions dumped straight from bag to plate and somewhat cold. The salsa is ok, kind of runny. So, if you are in the mood for below average Mexican food that has very little flavor then this is the place for you.

I'll give them this: they have giant, cheap margaritas on Thursdays. Standard Mexican food. My chiles rellenos were tasty, but they needed a little more of the red sauce that they normally are topped with. The guys I was with were happy with their dishes, but they're regulars. My husband and I eat here at least once a week. I've never gotten anything that I didn't enjoy. The food is alway tasty, hot and service is quick.

This was by far the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. The server didn't even take our order until most of our party was already being served and then after more that 45 min they finally brought out my daughters food and about 5 min later she brought out my food and guess what...it was the wrong food, when I told her it was wrong she picked it up and said ok ill get the right food I then told her to forget it just remove it from my bill to which she said ok and walked away...no apology nothing I will tell everyone I know to stop eating at this restaurant if you want good service and great food go to three margaritas in Fenton, MO. BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE STATE OF MISSOURI!!!!

The one in Herculaneum has awful service. My fiancé and I went in for dinner one night and it wasn't really packed. The guy who waited on us was rude and like somebody on here said before he just walked away. I don't think we even left a tip. I will never go back to that one again. I love the one in Festus though. Their service and food is awesome.

O.K. so overall the food would get a 3 and the service a zero. So the overall grade is a 1.5 rounded up to a 2. THE SERVICE: My wife and I went in for lunch at about 1:00 p.m. on a Monday. There were approximately 8 other customers in the restaurant. First we waited at the hostess table for 2-3 minutes for someone to come and seat us. Once seated chips and salsa were brought out and our server took our drink order. When bringing our drinks back he attempted to drop them off and walk away. I stopped him and asked him about one of the specials. He explained it to me and then promptly left, never inquiring if we were ready to order or not. We waited for another 4-5 minutes before he finally returned to take our order. By this time we had finished our chips, and he did not ask if we would like more. Another person came out with our food. He had four dishes in his hand and dropped one of them at our table and then took the other three to other tables. He dropped off my wife's fajitas (just the fajitas, no condiments and no tortillas). He never said a word about the rest of our food. We looked at each other and shrugged. He came about about 3 minutes later with my wife's plate of condiments for her fajitas, and my plate that I ordered. Once again no communication at all, and remember my wife still has not received any tortillas for her fajitas. Finally after still not receiving her tortillas my wife flagged down our original waiter to indicate we needed the tortillas, as well as her plate of beans that came with her meal. He immediately brought them out (now over 5 minutes after her fajitas). We were there for probably 45 minutes for lunch. We were never asked about a refill on our chips, and I was asked about a refill on my ice tea after it sat at the edge of my table empty for like 15 minutes. The wait staff here seemed like they were afraid of interacting with the customers. They avoided us to the point that I considered checking my armpits for B.O. THE FOOD: My wife ordered the Pachanga Lunch Fajitas and I ordered the #16 combo which was an enchilada, burrito, and chili relleno. My wife liked her fajitas as much as she could given the bad taste she already had in her mouth from the service. The #16 plate was pretty good. The chili relleno was actually very good, and their refried beans were excellent as was the rice. The enchilada and burrito was essentially the exact same thing except one was a flour tortilla and one was corn. They both had the exact same ground beef filling. I assumed incorrectly that the enchilada would be cheese. All in all I might be back again because it's the only Mexican restaurant that I know of in that area. The food was o.k. Not good enough to make up for the miserable service, but not bad enough to keep me away. I would hope that the service would not be that bad every time.

Yum. Yep one of the best places in JC for Mexican. 15% off on Mondays. Great food and rarely a crowd. That is more due to location than food quality.
