Rockcliffe Mansion

Gorgeous, historical home on a hilltop overlooking Hannibal and the mighty Mississippi River. Most of the furnishing and paintings are left from the original owners. The mansion is beautiful and intricately decorated. It'll take your breath away everywhere you look. Our guide was the owner, Juan Ruiz. He's knowledgable and friendly. A lot of restoration has been completed, with more to finish. Don't miss this amazing, amazing gem!!

This was one of our first experiences with a Bed and Breakfast, and it was wonderful. Kristine and Steve were charming hosts, and our room (in the back with a private entrance) was a spacious and comfortable suite. Breakfast was a three course extravaganza of pastry, warm peaches and delicious eggs, all homemade. The location is perfect, as it's just a couple of blocks to the historic downtown. Free Wi-Fi works well. Kristine and Steve obviously enjoy what they do, and it really shows in how enjoyable they make everyone's stay. Highly recommended.
Wonderful Inn, amazing breakfast! Kristine went out of her way to make me a special breakfast, which is no small feat as I am allergic to eggs. It was actually the best meal I had over our week long journey throughout the Midwest. Our room was very reasonably priced, comfortable, beautiful, and very quiet. I only regret that we didn't have the time to stay there longer. They go above and beyond to accommodate guests, and helped make the whole visit very special.
This place was awesome. Great breakfasts. Wonderful hosts. Beautiful rooms. Great lounge areas. Loved it! I would return in a heart beat. We stayed with a group of friends and basically had the whole 2nd floor to our selves. Within walking distance of the Hannibal attractions, we had a wonderful stay here. Thank you.

AMAZING! Norm and Judy were SO hospitable and friendly! The building is absolutely charming and decorated to perfection! We stayed in the Captain's Quarters (crows nest) and were instantly charmed by the antiques and very spacious, comfortable accomodations. Ample selection of toiletries available, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Also, a view of the Mississippi River from the window. They easily accomodated my vegetarian breakfast request with a fantastic stuffed strawberry croissant and a hawaiian influenced egg dish that Judy came up with. a terrific weekend away-highly recommended!!

Reviews:
The food is super reasonable. In fact, for the price, this is the best Mexican food I've ever had. They even let you order off the lunch menu at dinner. My girlfriend just said, "these is the best chicken nachos I ever had". I thought that warranted a review. It may also warrant a breakup, because that is poor grammar.
We will not return to this restaurant! Our service was slow and when food was brought out, it was brought in stages. When our Fajitas were finally brought to the table (15 min after the other food was at the table) it was burned. When we asked for the food to be re-done the server acted inconvienced. We then cancelled the order, not wanting to wait again. When checking out they tried to charge us for food we didn't have. The manager then proceeded to argue with us over the quality of the food. This was by far one of the poorest restaurant experiences that we have ever had.
What a great find. We are driving through from California and were missing the flavors from home. The food was great and the service was wonderful. Really nice and very helpful. I'm not sure we will be back in Hannibal but if we are I know where we will eat.

Very friendly place. in hannibal on business treated well. Doesn't take credit or debit cards, very common in downtown hannibal. Be aware of that. Food was ok, limited food hrs during off season.
If you love craft beer, go here. This place always has the best tap selection with national/regional/ local independent craft brews. They have 12 beers on tap and they regularly have offerings from Sierra Nevada and Deschutes (Fresh Squeezed IPA!), regional brewers like O'Fallon, Big Muddy, and Bur Oak. Go in on a Wednesday night and they typically have a PINT NIGHT where you take home a PINT glass from their featured brewery. If it's domestic beers you crave, Bud Light, Rolling Rock, Shock Top, and Bud are usually available on tap. Daily food specials
Awesome Food! Great service and great people! Pork Tenderloin was great and large! Well worth the stop! Very reasonable prices!

I haven't been to Subway often so can't much compare so... We pre-ordered an order of about 50 boxed lunches for a school group. Students had the choices of sandwiches, cookies & drinks. All was ready on time and neatly packed in large bags for us to transport to a nearby park. Boxes contained the sandwiches (rather plain, but how do you customize an order that large?), a bag of chips, a cookie, packages of mustard and mayo. Separate boxes for all of the drinks. Perfect!
