I really enjoyed my experience! Nice atmosphere and good food! A very nice place to eat in the Fayette area. The Food was excellent and the service was good. We got our food fast. The menu was unique as well, featuring some Cajun favorites.

Had the Onion Rings as an appetizer. Very good, liked their spices - gave them a nice garlicy flavor. Had the Baby Back Ribs - a dry rub served with a slightly sweet smoky sauce on the side. Ribs were good, lightly smoked. Wife and I ordered different sides - Sweet potato fries and Shoe string potatoes so we could try each. The sweet potato fries came with a jalapeno dipping sauce that was really good. Overall, though, preferred the Shoe string pototoes - crispy and well seasoned. I had the fudge chocolate mouse cake for dessert - too rich and too much for me to finish. Wife had the last piece of turtle cheese cake. I had a taste and it was excellent - lots of caramel. We were here at lunch so couldn't try their full menu. Plan to come back some evening and maybe have a steak. 4 stars for successfully bringing homemade fresh food to such a small community. Every small town should be so lucky.

Much better! Service was okay, not what it should be. But, food was delicious and gorgeously prepared!

Had a really great shrimp and pasta dish and sweet potato fries to start. Service was fast. The shrimp dish was supposed to be spicy but it didn't have much kick. Left with enough for another meal! The atmosphere was cozy and I could see this place being great for game nights, with all the TV's they have around the place.

I'm stuffed. And our family may be banned for a while, but it's so worth it. Based on the catering last year, I insisted on coming to the restaurant for dinner while we're in town. (Pictures pending) For you, fair Yelper, I made the sacrifice of sampling everything ordered by our party of 5. Standouts included the succulent baby back ribs (with house-made BBQ sauce), fried catfish, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. Our rambunctious noise drew in the nearby tables, whom we shamelessly quizzed about their meals (and passed on our own recommendations). I clearly got my ability to eat from my grandfather because my uncle and I were the ones to insist upon dessert. For me, the chocolate mousse cake edged out the bourbon pecan pie and the chocolate cobbler, but there was much debate around the table. Service was solid, and our waitress, Carol, not only didn't kick us out, but said we made the evening "fun". My roommate and I both love Emmet's dusting spice and use it on everything, but especially on pork and in eggs, and we've used up my supply from last year. I came 2000 miles to get more; what does that tell you?

I eat here occasionally with family when I am in the state for a visit. I am a fan of sweet potato fries in general and I think Emmett's serves pretty decent sweet potato fries. The meals are almost always served in a timely manner (except when there are multiple large groups) and I have never ordered anything that did not come out hot and cooked to specifications.

Who would guess Fayette would have a restaurant worth a 30-45 minute drive? Emmet's nailed it! Angry shrimp and onion rings started us off right. Menu had a lot of variety from steak to pasta to seafood. My steak was very good and cooked to the desired temp and the four of us were very pleased with all of our dinner dishes. The sweet potato fries seemed to be a side dish favorite. We received very good service with just the right amount of attention. Even though we were there for 2 1/2 hours, we didn't feel pressure to turn the table. Emmet's probably won't be in our regular rotation, just because it's a long ways from home. However, it was a great place to meet up with some friends and enjoy a evening out.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
