We have been there for breakfast about ten times or more since we tried it late last year and we have only ever been for weekend breakfasts. It's great food and in our experience it has been about 90% consistent in terms of portion size, appearance, temperature and taste. I base that on always getting the same four breakfast items between my wife and I. The quiche is as good as some I have had in France. The muffins are great and served warm and the coffee is bold and smoky. They have a great app with offers like "one breakfast free' with purchase of another a lot of the time which is great. One negative, If you go on a Sunday morning (unless you like waiting) around and possibly getting a hurriedly presented or cold breakfast...get there before 9am!

Other customers who were seated 10 min after us, got the waitress first -- food wait seemed really long -- 30 minutes -- and was jest so-so Don't order side of fruit -- you will get 10-15 grapes and some orange garnish from the bar -- so sad

While the staff was kind and generally courteous, the entire operation was extremely unorganized resulting in patrons arriving at least 10 minutes after us receiving service well before us. The food was reasonable, but not spectacular and definitely not worth the frustration of the wait. We also witnessed a party that was seated outside that never got service. Needless to say, the head of that party was not happy and made sure to let the management know of their displeasure, right in front of our table.

Super good food and an awesome experience!! We told our waiter that we had never been to the restaurant before so he walked us though the menu and after we got our food, the manager came over to speak with us. She gave us complimentary muffins for being first time costumes!! I will definitely coming back the next time I'm in the St. Louis area!!

I was out in Chesterfield and saw Mimi's Cafe when I stopped for gas. I was pretty excited to return as I've been to Mimi's when I had visited friends in Atlanta and Arkansas. So after shopping I returned to eat dinner at Mimi's. First I had to be asked to be seated. Apparently due to cuts in shifts a hostess wasn't on staff that night. Interestingly enough the wait staff and/or kitchen staff were standing around. No one acknowledged my standing and standing and standing until finally the bartender returned and showed me to my seat. At my table my waiter was wonderfully nice. I had an appetizer and a salad. Both were okay. I wasn't thrilled with the appetizer but that was my fault for driving past seafood places and ordering Calamari at Mimi's. It was fried almost like an onion ring. I prefer lightly fried or tempura style. Mimi's is known for the bread (which did not disappoint), breakfast foods and down home comfort food (and apparently French comfort food). Knowing that I should have ordered a different entree. So my first impression - not so good. The food - just okay. My waiter - fantastic. If you go get the bread, order a muffin, get breakfast and seat yourself. :-)

Have been there a couple of times and found everything acceptable. The first time we went they were out of the Pot Pie which is why we went, but the waiter was so funny it made it fine to go with the Roast Beef which was good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The Carrot Bread is excellent and a big plus.

Visited on a Sunday at 2:45. Menu was greatly reduced. Ordered from the low Cal menu. Rice was dry, no flavor (C'mon, I'm not a chef, but know you can add flavor without adding calories - ever heard of broth?) Turkey was served dry with the cranberry sauce on the side. Broccoli was very small portion, limp and lifeless. Overall presentation was not appealing to me and I was really hungry. The turkey tasted okay after I poured the cranberry sauce over it. That's all I 'm gonna say. My husand ordered the French Dip. He was also disappointed with presenation His Frwnch bread tasted like it was brushed with used deep-frying oil. Yuk! Really heart broken, as this WAS one of our favorites.

I came here one time before and the experience was a very good one, good waitress, good food. Had I wrote a review then it would of been a good one. This time I took a friend after bragging on Mimi's Cafe's good service, great bread and good food it's a shame to say not one good component was there. The the wait was double what we were told. After being sat we ordered, a half sandwich, fries and soup for me and pot roast for my friend, I anxiously waited for the yummy breads that I had bragged on...we waited for what seemed like forever and finally here comes our food...what happened to the bread??? I asked the waitress and she tells me I told her I didn't want bread?!?!?! UM, the bread was why I chose to eat at Mimi's and I would never ever say no to bread. So instead of just going and getting bread she continues to argue with me and walks away!!! At this point I am irritated, mind you the manager was aware of the situation too. we eat our food which was pretty good. However they forgot my fries and the waitress is avoiding our table like the plague. At this point I just want to eat and leave, this is a wash. Well here comes the waitress with a couple white bread rolls reminding me again that I told her I don't want bread...UGH. I told her I thought the bread was an assortment of breads...she said they were slicing the carrot bread and would bring it when they were ready...yep you guessed it, it never came. As we were finishing up the waitress finally noticed I never got my fries and asked me about it, I told her we never got the carrot bread either and she told me they ran out of carrot bread. But of course you did, Check Please!... The waitress came with the check apologizing, in her hand was one of their delicious muffins boxed for me and all became right with the world. Telling this experience makes me laugh, I feel as if I was being punked.

My college chum and I met for lunch. Got a table right away and had a lovely server. We both got a chopped salad, and both took half home. This was a fine lunch, but it wasn't spectacular. I'd go again. There was nothing wrong with the place. It was A-OK.

Stopped here on a whim on our way back from Wright City. Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised! Very relaxing, group friendly place without being rambunctious. The staff was super friendly and had great recommendations. Treat yourself to the brie and apples. It is scrumptious. They made a mean tomato basil soup too which was a treat. The price is perfect for the portions. I would love to stop by again!

Food wasn't bad but it wasn't outstanding either. The service was good but the decor and the music was kind of confusing. Didn't know if it was French Italian or a New Orleans theme. It was a variation of many things. But it wasn't a bad place just not my style.

i appreciated the french decor and specialty items on the menu. i don't really think the concept works though. its a chain a little like fridays or max & ermas but with a somewhat french themed menu. in the english language, french seems to be elegant. This perceived elegance extends to their cuisine. French food tastes rather plain to me and you pay extra for presentation. Mimi's is not high end french cuisine. i guess you could applaud them for having french food on a budget? I think I've been to fine french restaurants for just a few dollars more. i ordered the crepes for dinner. tried a pumpkin broth, pumpkin bread, their carrot muffins... nothing wowed me but I could try again at lunch or maybe look for some appetizers?

Went to Mimi's about a week ago. My wife had been there before and loved it and wanted me to try it as well. We came around lunchtime and it was pretty crowded but were seated right away. We also must have came right at shift change because our waitress was replaced by a very nice waiter shortly after we sat down and ordered our food. We waited for over 20 minutes for a Luke warm burger and fries and my wife's meal was completely wrong. She sent hers back and didn't want a replacement meal, who knows how long that would have taken. They were very apologetic and I can't imagine that happens often, needless to say they removed her meal from the bill of course and we left paying $20 tip included for so so burger. Not really thinking I will be going back any time soon.

Took kid 2 out for lunch and her first choice was closed so we decided to try Mimi's. Our server was in the weeds when we arrived but managed to do alright over the course of the meal. The kid had chocolate chip pancakes and sausage links. I left her pancakes alone but did knick a bite of sausage. It was nicely seared and had a great flavor. The kid is pretty picky about sausage but was quite happy. I opted for their special which was a roast butternut squash ravioli with Cajun shrimp in a red cream sauce with wilted spinach. The picture I took really does not do it justice. It was surprisingly good and the kid horned-in on it as well. Her comment was that she liked the pancakes better where we were originally headed but loved the ravioli. I am inclined to agree with her assessment...

I love the breakfast at Mimi's. Today I tried the Orange Cream French toast. Yep Awsome! It was hard to go away from the Eggs Benidict. Superb wait staff and waited only minutes for our food.

I was underwhelmed. The wait was 15-20 mins but open tables everywhere. Clearly they were understaffed. One would think that Sunday breakfast would be a pretty big draw. Our server was well-intended but the kitchen was slow (which he blamed), the $3.59 side of bacon was sitting in grease and was mostly fat and we had to remind about others and such that weren't delivered with our meal. The plus....the coffee was hot.

Came by for Lunch on Tuesday, was pleasantly surprised. Based on their name and outside of the building I had no clue what to expect, we were just meandering around for a different place to eat. Once I came inside I was surprised to see how nice it was and they had a nice bar. We were greeted and seated quickly, in a nice booth in an area that is designed to look like a french street or courtyard. Ally our server came over pretty quick and welcomed us. They must try to be french here, but they have a pretty much american menu, because he greeted us with bon jour. They have a wide variety of foods and nice cocktails, a great kids menu too. I had the orange and chicken crepes, which were really prepared nice and had just enough orange flavor. It came with a salad, which I added chicken to, but the salad was nothing special. My wife had the bouillabaisse, which she was very happy with. I would definately come back here to try the brunch or dinner too, glad we came here.

First time visit and this will not be my last. We arrived around 8:15pm not realizing that they closed at 9pm. Not once did we feel rushed by our waiter, or a burden to be there. The entire staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the brie appetizer and it did not disappoint. The grilled chicken and guacamole sandwich was very good. My friend enjoyed the chicken crepes and the portion was huge. The mini baguettes and carrot bread were amazing and even warm. As I write this review I am enjoying a muffin that I took to go. They earned the 5 stars last night.

I went to Mimi's for the first time and had some pretty good food and great service. I got the tilapia with mashed potatoes. They were both very standard. It took a little while to get our food but that's not a problem when they bring out warm baguettes and cinnamon carrot bread! I know a lot of people who love Mimis. It wasn't amazing but I wouldn't mind coming back again. I'm always looking to try new things! Maybe next time I will try lunch/breakfast/brunch!

I am partial to Mimi's because it is among the few franchise/chain restaurants I frequent. All Mimi's carry a unique balance of creativity & tradition. Their themed rooms keep it interesting - you could essentially eat there four times in one week and eat in a different atmosphere each time.. That is a plus to me. On my last visit, I was very impressed with the service. I ate there on the Saturday before Easter. I asked to customize a dish, essentially I wanted to combine ingredients from three pasta dishes on their menu. The server was very honest in that she wasn't positive she could accommodate my request because they already began the prep for tomorrow (Easter).. but she would ask. In short, not only did they accommodate my request but they far exceeded all expectations. I finished the entire pasta bowl! And the portions are never small at Mimi's!! (check out my picture...)

I've been here several times and my conclusion is that the quality of food is too inconsistent and not very exciting. I have gotten the pot roast a few times. The first time it was moist, flavorful and tender. The next two times it was dry and chewy. The turkey dinner is okay but stay away from the gravy. The eggs Benedict consisted of an undercooked poached egg with a chewy piece of ham and English muffin. The best food they have are the pumpkin muffins.

  • Joey J.

I've eaten here about 60 times. When they first opened several years ago the quality was high and the service was excellent. If anything went wrong whatsoever the manager would apologize profusely and give you his card for a free meal. Now you're lucky to get a server who remembers to bring the ketchup you asked for 10 minutes ago and the quality and portions of everything has been diminished. I still enjoy their freshly baked blueberry muffins and roasted turkey dinner. But apparently 2005 is a bygone era.

There are many places to eat around here, and as I have been to most of them, we wanted to try a new place. We decided to go to Mimi's, bad move. They weren't very busy so we got a table right away. That was the best part... The food, meh. Higher than average prices. Burned fries, weird cut of chicken breast. I wonder who cuts the meat? I'm convinced the waiter was on something, he acted really strange. I could tell the table next to us was getting uncomfortable as he was going into some odd stories with them. Maybe that's just his way, I don't know. It didn't come off as friendly, just odd. Avoid em, better food and service from the other 20 places within 3 min of there.

Disappointing experience. We sat out on the patio. There were weeds and litter. The restrooms were VERY dirty! The kitchen forgot to put dressing on our salads and this wasn't even a busy time. The crepes with mushrooms and chicken were watery and bland, a total miss. When the manager brought them out, she just stood there while we had to remove our own salad plates. Bad service, bad food, bad upkeep. We will not go back.

I don't know who Mimi is but this place is GREAT!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it and the service was outstanding! ASK FOR JEREMY, HE WAS FANTASTIC!! We missed breakfast and had to have lunch. What a great opportunity! We had the deviled eggs and they were delish!! The chicken cordon blue, turkey and brie sandwiches were surprisingly good and the carrot bread solidified my nap after the meal. Can't wait to come back. This place is a true Gem!!!!

Mimi's Cafe is way out in the Chesterfield Valley. It is a chain with only one location in St Louis. this was owned by the Bob Evans company but was sold at a loss in early 2013 to the LeDuff America which owns a variety of bakeries. It is nice to go to once in awhile if I am in the area. Service tends to vary from mediocre to bad. I was most recently here for breakfast and I got pancake, eggs and sausage and it was pretty tasty. Nothing special on the menu but it is good for groups and for those who might be picky eaters. I am only giving it 3 stars since it is a good 20-25 mile drive one way for me and the fact that service is never great. They don't seem to focus on that.

The hubby and I wanted to try some place new for brunch, so I found this one via Yelp and confirmed they served brunch until 3PM on Saturday. We arrived close to 2PM, and it wasn't too busy so we had a choice of seating (this place is really big). As we settled into our booth and started to peruse the 2 menus provided (1 was a "specials" menu and the other was the regular menu), I couldn't find any breakfast items. We asked our server if they were still serving brunch, and she said "We can do that. What would you like?" I was kind of confused bc 1) I don't want to order breakfast item if the kitchen wasn't doing it anymore and 2) I'm not sure what I want for breakfast bc I don't know what you offer. When I asked if they had a breakfast menu, she went to get us the menu. Food: - Pomme Lyonnaise Benedict: disappointing. I expected the potatoes to be more like a hashbrown (even the picture looks like it), but it was more like a pile of mashed potatoes. I also asked to leave the tomato off, but it came with it anyway. The side of fruit was good. - Classic Waffle + Le Grande Breakfast: Waffle was OK...nothing special. The pork sausage was also just OK. Overall, the food was disappointing. We could save ourselves the extra 10-15 min drive and go to Uncle Bill's.

We had lunch here and it was extremely loud and the service was mediocre at best. I ordered a Cobb Salad and they provided me with about a tablespoon of dressing. I requested more and it took the waiter about ten minutes to get it to me. It was my first visit and based on my experience, it will be my last.

I Love this lovely gem. The work staff is incredible and food has always been delicious. I love they have light choices too. The muffins are outstanding and glad I go with someone who let's me sample them. It's a great place for a group of friends or just for one. I love breakfast food and seem to order the light omelet a lot. Superb !

Made reservations for Mother's Day. Chose 3:00pm because we wanted it to be quieter. I asked man who took reservation if we could still get breakfast after 3:00pm and he said it would be limited breakfast menu. What we got was a piece of paper, with 6 items on it, no breakfast. Asked for a regular menu, waitress said we wouldn't like it because they were out of a lot of things. After we found out there was no more Tuna Melt, French Dip, Chicken Salad, Roast Turkey, Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich (which was the special of the day) we announced we were leaving. They were not prepared to handle customers between brunch and dinner, and we were suppose to be okay with whatever they had left. Somebody did not plan for this because it is usually a very popular place. I guess they figured they did not need anymore money after the brunch crowd. We were disgusted but went down the street and ordered something we did want. It will never be my first choice for Mother's Day again.

The hubby and I wanted to try something new for lunch so we came across this place. It was nice and quiet inside and a calm atmosphere. We had very good service but we were not over the top about this place, it wasn't really our kind of place. We ordered food and it was barely enough for one person. It tasted alright, just not all that filling in my opinion. They did give us some muffins to go when we were leaving to try and they were pretty tasty but I'm not sure that we will be back for no other reason than it's not the place for us.

Not a great experience today. Hostess not paying attention to the order people arrive, my wife ordered an iced cappuccino and got an iced coffee instead and the REAL piss off was after having waited for 15 mins with a couple being seated ahead of us out of order... The bartender seated a couple he knew immediately AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVED. When we said something to the manager his mouth said "sorry" but his eyes said "not again! "

I like that this place has a good corned beef hash and waffles. Most of the baked goods are fresh and warm. The family friendly atmosphere is laid back and cozy. The servers aim to please and the food is tasty and delicious.

Want an unique brunch - go to Mimi's! I cannot remember how we found out about Mimi's but its one of our favorite places on a Sunday morning. My husband loves being able to choose something from the breakfast menu at random times of the day while I love trying their other items. Their staff does whatever it takes to make sure your visit is special and complete. This particular visit was for my husband's birthday brunch and he got to choose his favorite breakfast omelet. I had the 5 cheese grilled cheese which is quite delicious and not a disappointment. Because of his birthday he was given a piece of cake with a candle which topped off our visit. If you visit and its your first time, they will send you home with a 4 pack of their melt in your mouth muffins.

We arrived at 11:30 on a Wednesday and stood in line to see the hostess. Although I always hate to wait, I took it as a good sign that the place was packed so early. We decided to set at the bar so we didn't have to wait and were immediately attended to. After ordering drinks and reviewing a great selection on the menu, I started with the tomato bisque soup. Large serving size. Lots of flavor. Will definitely have to have that again soon. Main coarse was turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. There were so many other items on the menu that I would like to try so I will be back real soon to try more. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

This little quiet cafe was good, although I didn't understand or how to pronounce a lot but what I got was really good and this was recommended from my mother. The waitresses could have been alittle better they seemed not to tknow who was taking care of what tables.

Meh..Mimi's was so-so. The French dip left a lot to be desired. It looked like flat meat and tasted worse. Service was good. Andre the waiter was sweet. Will probably pass on his place next time I'm in the area.

My experience at Mimi's Café was simply, okay. I ordered the Cinnamon Brioche French Toast which sounded scrumptious per the menu description. (Side note: french toast is my all-time favorite breakfast menu option. I order it everywhere.) Unfortunately, the brioche was dry and only warm, as if it was not delivered promptly. My guest ordered the Five-Alarm Santa Fe Omelette which was also warm, not hot. Mimi's Café must be a popular place because it was packed, but unfortunately I might continue exploring other options for breakfast.

i've been to many a mimi's cafe before and expected a certain level of service. this is the second time i've been to this location. as before, i was seated in the bar area. i don't know if this is customary for single diners or if we don't rate tables in the regular dining room as another single lady diner was seated in the booth next to mine. it took my server, kelsey, quite a while to greet me but it was with a "what can i get you, hon?" that immediately set me on edge. i do not appreciate this type of familiarity from strangers. i noticed that she also greeted the other lady the same way. she, however, did not address men this way. instead, they were called either "sir" or "guys." i decided to count how many times she did this. in totality, i heard either "hon" or "dear" from kelsey a total of 17 times while i was there. the reason i was there was to eat. but the corned beef benedict that i ordered was full of gristly bits. bleech. i couldn't eat right away because my silverware were crusted with other bits of food. double bleech. highly doubt that i will return to this place.

Breakfast only review: I would probably give 3 1/2 stars if I could. It was basically average. The french toast was very good but the eggs and bacon not great. Nice atmosphere but definitely feels like a chain atmosphere. I would go again if invited but probably would not choose it on my own. The server was nice and there were no problems. Plenty of parking.

This review is going to center on one particular item on the menu in which I am in love with! The cinnamon brioche french toast. It by far is my favorite thing to get for breakfast in the valley, and 2nd only to Melt's waffles. It is a delight, and very reasonably priced. I get it with the eggs and bacon for a high calorie, but utterly delicious breakfast. Also I am excited to see they now have half price wine wednesdays where all bottles of wine are half price all day. That is a great deal for those vino lovers.

I've been going here for years and have always enjoyed it for a chain restaurant. Over the last couple of visits though, it seams that this location is showing some age. My last few visits here were for breakfast and they have a good offering on the menu. I had eggs Benedict last time and I wasn't too impressed. The egg was under done and the hollandaise was just okay. They have good potatoes and their muffins and bread are always good. Before this I had their waffle and it was amazing. Of course I smothered it with butter, but everything is better with butter, right? For what you get, it is a pretty good value too. I hope they don't let this place get in to too much disrepair because they do have a good food.

Stopped here for brunch for the first time this weekend. Had the potato cakes benedict which was good. Bloody Mary was good also. Husband had a croissant with his meal which was super buttery and flaky--yum! Would go back to try lunch or dinner items.

I love Mimi's. The atmosphere is that of a French cafe, but I don't think it would matter if there was no decor at all, because the food is so incredibly good! I always (always) start with the French Onion Soup - it's the best in the area. Have a bowl, which is more like a "bucket." Tonight I had the awesome roasted chicken wrap, and then followed it up with cinnamon beignets (see my photo), which came with three different sauces. We were seated right away and the service was great. Not only have I not had a bad meal at Mimi's, but I've never had a mediocre meal. All of their dishes are above average,

I love Mimi's! Today I had a cup of the French Onion soup $2 to add on with entree. It is a must have every time we come. I also had the Chopped Asian Chicken Salad. $8.99. Really fresh chopped romaine, napa cabbage, green onion, cilantro, green and red peppers, with wonton strips. It is tossed in a light sesame seed dressing. Served with your choice of muffin. I chose the Blueberry. Big fresh muffins. I ordered Hot Tea $2.49. A large basket of assorted teas were brought with a pot of hot water. There were like 6 varieties to sample. We had a really nice, polite waiter. When we got our bill we noticed on the receipt if you called a 1-800 #, and took a short survey within 72 hours they will give you a code. Write the code on the receipt and bring it in for 2 complimentary muffins. Well, there is no time like the present. We called while we were sitting waiting for the credit card transaction. When the server brought the card back I handed him the receipt with the code and he cheerfully asked what type of muffins we would like. SAH-WEET...I now have breakfast for tomorrow!

We have always liked this restaurant. Every time we have gone there the food has been good. There was only one time we asked to sit outside only to be sat around a wasp nest. That made for a bad visit. We told the staff but they looked at us as though it was an issue to take care of. We aren't sure if they knew about the best beforehand or not. I hope they got it cleared up and glad we didn't get stung.

Sunday breakfast. Small wait. Very friendly and attentive staff. Been to Mimis in Cali. Food was bluh. Ordered bacon, pancakes, omelette, sramb eggs, potatoes. Coffee was decent. Bacon was cheap-ish, overly salty, thin. Potatoes were not crispy at all. Plates were sloppy and unattractive when delivered. Daughter liked pancakes, but she likes anything with chocolate and butter. Bran and spice muffins were delish, as was the pumpkin bread in the waiting area. We'll go back for baked goods, but not for the other stuff.

I have been to this particular Mimi's location several times, and each time, it's as if I am dining a new restaurant. My dining experiences have been so all over the board, however, that I wonder if they work with recipe *concepts* rather than the tried and true recipe cards. Do the Mimi's Cafe "chefs" come in with their own recipes everyday? I have experienced some good, borderline great, meals at Mimi's, but this was not to be one of those good experiences. After visiting my grandpa in the hospital, my mom and I decided to stop by Mimi's for some dinner. We each decided to order something we'd had previously enjoyed, and split the two. What did we decide on? The Crispy Chicken Salad and the Chicken Pot Pie. The salad came with a muffin, and that was the only bit of the meal that didn't taste as if it had been sitting out for days. Gross. The Chicken Pot Pie was overcooked, and mostly crust. The inside was not creamy, and seemed as if the 25 minute wait (so that they could freshly bake the pie) was a misstatement of the truth. I think that it had already been baked hours... or even days before, and heated up for us. Blech. The salad's chicken was again, seasoned with old-spice, and wasn't worth eating. We each tried to give it a chance by taking several bites, but in the end we gave it up, and went to Oberweis for some ice cream. The waitress we had was good, and there are no complaints about the restaurant itself, but it will be a long time, if ever I return for a meal. The muffins are good, but not that good.

Have to say Mimi's will not be recommended. This was a great chain when they first started. Now you can tell the senior management has changed the face of this operation. Food is not even close to what it once was. You can tell they are doing what everyone else is doing no longer doing real cooking in there kitchens. They raised there prices cut quality and serving sizes. Trust me they will be out of buisness very soon.

The place has a French Bistro atmosphere. We had an office lunch here so I got to try a number of different dishes. I ordered the roasted chicken crepes. The chicken was tender. The sauce was tasty and the crepes were delicate. I tried both the pea soup and the corn chowder. Both tasted like Grandma made them. That is if Grandma was a good cook. The quiches had a great crust. I preferred the Quattre Fromage (four cheese) quiche over the broccoli cheddar quiche. The menu had a nice variety and I definitely will be back for more. Our server Chrysta was very accommodating and efficient without being invasive.

Yummy and great service. Too bad we don't live closer so we could eat here more. Both French onion and the corn chowder were wonderful. I had turkey apple and Brie croissant and my husband had the turkey pesto on ciabatta both were great ! Our 7 year old even loved it all.

This chain restaurant is huge but carries a small French country cafe vibe all the way through. I had the Quiche Lorraine, which came with my choice of GINORMOUS muffin and fruit. The fruit that came with the entree was a 1/2 slice of cantaloupe, 1/2 slice of honeydew, a slice of pineapple, and (I think) grapes. There was so much food! This is a decent selection for all sorts of comfort food.

Food is good. Service is good. Cleanliness, not so good. Free wifi does not work on Apple products. The outside dining is always dirty. Food and butts on the floor every time I visit which is every Monday morning for breakfast after workout. I have been reporting this to corporate for the last six months. They don't care.

This place is one of the more consistent places I have ever eaten at. Food has always been good quality, at good price and with some basics and variety of other choices. This night our group (family) all chose the 3 course option which was plenty of food for all of us. I ordered the pork chops and they were thicker and juicer than I expected. I also had corn chowder? and the dessert I forget now but it was good. :) I need to take more notes. I have never been disappointed here. It is what it is, a family restaurant, not high end, more like everything else in the Valley (next door to Red Lobster) and a comfortable interior (although it was a bit cold even though we were back from the front area enough.

Haven't been coming here since they dropped our favorite foods. Decided to stop by since only wanted the walnut salad. Found out out they added back some of our favorite foods. It was quiet, not many people but took 10 or more minutes to get a drink. Then the food...took a really, really long time. Waitress didn't bother to stop by to talk about the very long wait. Other customers around us started complaining about absence of service. Wait staff kept disappearing for long stretches. Finally manager came by to apologize and compared our meal. Very poor service must have cost her a lot tonight. Food was good...very bad service.

Awesome friendly and helpful staff - thanks Stacy! Super good food, soup was yummy and entree! Drinks, soups, and entree, with the gf. Total was 35.00! Will be back for sure. Would love to try breakfast here. Whatever you do avoid avoid avoid, Original Pancake House down the street from Mimis. See my review for details.

Stopped at Mimis for Dinner last night. The food was great and very reasonably priced. I am in St Louis on business travel so I have a meal allowance. There was such a variety of food that I had a hard time deciding. I got the turkey breast dinner and for $3 more was able to add on soup and dessert. The corn chowder had great flavor. The turkey was tender and the dressing was good. I did nit like the mashed potatoes. The vegetables were broccoli and carrots. They were cooked like i like them not too soft or too hard. The bread basked had a nice variety so we ended up getting a refill. The petit brownie sundae was just the right size. Service was excellent. Overall a nice dining experience. Cant wait to go back!

It was just bad. The service was very poor. We arrived on Sunday afternoon just before 4 p.m., and they were not very busy. We sat in a booth up front near the bar and just in front of the service area. Our appetizers came out in short order, but it went downhill from there. We finished the appetizers, and our iced teas were empty, and we just waited. And waited. There were several management people going back and forth to the bar, and even our waiter once, but no attention for us. We tried. After about 20 minutes, the waiter came and said he would check on our food (not clearing the table or refilling our drinks). Someone else brought our food. The waiter then came and refilled our tea, but with no ice. We had to ask for bread. After about 5 minutes he brought some, saying that it had just come out of the oven. The carrot bread was good, but the breadsticks were still very cold in the middle (nearly frozen). My grilled salmon spinach salad was sad. The salmon was way overcooked to the point of dryness, and the salad portion was missing half of the ingredients (no mushrooms, no boiled eggs, no crispy bacon). My friend's chicken crepes were slopped on the plate and fell apart. We waited to address the issues, but no one came to check. We decided it just wasn't going to be our day at Mimi's. To get to the end, we had to wait over10 minutes for our bill to be settled after we gave payment. I have no reason at all to go back to Mimi's.

I went with a large group last night and they seated us in the front room. It was 90 degrees outside and you could have hung meat in the front room, it was so cold. Despite asking them to warm it up, it never got any better. I ordered the "Bistro Steak", they were out of the potatoes au gratin so I got mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were the only thing hot on the plate. The steak look nothing like the picture in the menu and was cold. I asked for some sauce to warm it up and that did not help. When I was done, a manager came by to see how everything was. I told her that the steak was cold, she said "sorry" and asked if she could take my plate. That was it. My wife had the ham sandwich with Swiss chees and it was also cold but a sandwich is easier to eat cold than a steak. The two waiters who had our group, did the best that they could. They took care of drinks and brought plenty of bread. When they brought the food out, the person did not know who ordered what. Eventually we all got our food, well one person got their muffin when they were done with the meal and got it to go. We then finished and got up and went to the lobby area and warmed up. If they can't handle large groups then don't take the reservations. We have been there before and had good meals, this was an off night all around and the manager was worthless in the way she handled my telling her that my food was cold.

This is a lovely restaurant, yes it was packed crowded. But upon entering myself and my girlfriend, at the time, were seated at a very nice table immediately. The server's were awesome. Delivery of drinks and refill was fast and food made up and delivered in good time. The half pound double cheese, double burger was to die for. The garlic cheese fries very good. Overall very enjoyable experience.

Love going to Mimi's. I usually meet my friend for breakfast. We usually meet during the week and enjoy the quiet atmosphere where we and talk and "catch up." The Cinnamon Brioche French Toast is to die for. It comes with 2 thick slices of toast and fruit, If you want larger portions, order as a full breakfast and it comes with 2 eggs, and bacon or sausage. They also have a good selection of gigantic muffins, as well as, healthy options. Today I met another friend for Lunch. The Chef's Choice soup of the day was Lobster Bisque and it was sooo good! I've heard many guys say that it's a "chick place," but I have found breakfast portions are large and lunch very adequate. I have to admit, I have not been there for dinner in several years. However, with their very good breakfast choices, Burgers, Meat Loaf, Pot Roast, Turkey dinner, and Chicken Pot Pie, in addition to salads, quiches and sandwiches for lunch, and Bistro Steak and Salmon options for dinner - there's plenty of options for everyone.

This place would get 4-stars if it were a mom and pop restaurant. 1-star deduction for the horrible music - if you want happy customers and happy employees, give them some good tunes :)

A gem hidden in Chesterfield Valley, who would've thunk it? My family was sooo anti- going to Mimi's. They complained that we'd have to wait for hours just to get over priced pancakes. Boy, were they wrong. In fact, our brunch last Sunday was cheaper then the one at the feeding trough (Old Country Buffet) the weekend before. (Please don't judge my g-parents for loving the buffet, they are, in fact, old) We got a table in 15 minutes. Although some people, with the same number of people in their party, totally got seated wayyyy before us.... this makes me think that they accept reservations. Crazy. Our service was really good. He was patient and friendly. I had the crab cakes benedict and they are right up there with Wildflower's, only difference is that they don't come on an English muffin and they ARE GINORMOUS. Huge. And their potatoes have a nice crisp outside and delicious seasoning. Gma got an avocado, bacon and crab omelette. Everytime she started talking to the randoms at the table next to us, I was stealing her omelette.... it was delicious. At one point, I forgot my Gpa had even accompanied us because he was so quiet. This is not normal for him, but he had so many pancakes shoveled into his trap, it was a silent blissful meal with no jibber jabber from the senile, war-vet, Italian big mouth. Four adults. Total bill : $42?!?!?!??!?!? WOW! This is a bargain and worth the fifteen minute wait. The meals included juice and fresh baked, monster-sized muffins. PS I saw some amazing looking bloody marys at the bar for next time when I come without the fam. love you Mimi.

This is the only time I have ever been here. Overall, I wasn't impressed. The food was okay, nothing really memorable. It didn't taste bad, it was just unimpressive. The decor is tacky. Like a Bistro and Friday's had a baby. The menu is all over the place. Like the restaurant doesn't know the style it wants to be. It is massively overpriced. 2 of us had dinner. No alcohol, no steaks. And the bill was almost $40. Our server however was the best server I have had in a long time.

It was Sunday and my parents are here visiting from NJ and they wanted brunch. We drove to Bristol's and they were closed not serving brunch which I assumed they did every Sunday but I was wrong. So I used Yelp and the next closest place was Mimi's. We called and made reservations on our drive there again because I assumed there would be a wait. There was no wait when we arrived and we were sat immediately which was great. While waking to our seats I looked around wondering where the omelet station was which when I read brunch I assume there will be an egg station somewhere. Again I was wrong. We received our menus and we just looked at our server and said "no need for menus we know what we want". She was surprised and said ok, we said that we would all be eating the brunch. She had a look of question on her face and said what's that? So we looked a lot dumber and said the brunch buffet. She smiled and said that they do not have a brunch buffet but offer a brunch menu. Not happy with the situation we were not going to get up and leave so we all ordered different items and and shared them. 2 things I learned, never assume and never think a restaurant knows what a brunch buffet is! Over all the food was good service was great and the price was average.

I was a Mimi's regular for Sunday breakfast every 3 to 4 weeks. Today was my first visit with a new breakfast menu. They have cut back on their meal sizes (ie no more muffin included with many breakfasts, no potatoes with the quiche). Along with the menu changes it seems like the food quality has been downgraded as well. (Quiche was not as rich as usual - somewhat watery, the melon in the fresh fruit that replaced potatoes as a side was not ripe at all, toast was almost bread like it had been in the toaster about 5 seconds) I always thought mimis was a little on the pricey side, but you were ascertained very good food and generous portions. With this menu change I now feel it is very overpriced for the amount of food and food quality that is served.

Mimi's is my Sunday breakfast spot whenever i have a guest in town! I've been going since they opened and was so happy when they added liquor to their bar. Sometimes you need more than just a little pick me up on a sunday morning.. Sunday's can be a little busy for them, so realize the day and time when you go. I always try and sit at the bar with a friend so i can relax and stay away from the restaurant feel and stick with the more intimate cafe feel. I prefer to not feel like I'm at a family restaurant in the valley when i can. Crab cake Benedict is my poison and they are certainly known for their muffins and Benedict's. Love taking people to Mimi's :-) Since today's sunday.. anyone interested in a little brunch? I'm buying..

I love Mimi's! Not only when you drive up does it remind me of a ginger bread house or some sort of doll house, but it just makes you get excited to get inside. The interior has some random stuff on the walls and the decor reminds me of a Grandma's house. Nothing beats the chicken pot pie! And I do love anything on the breakfast menu! Love place!

Went to Mimi's for lunch. Very crowded, but got a table somehow. I love it here. I love the muffins and the food. I sampled the cream of chicken soup and it was great. The crabcake appetizers were tiny but soo good... and I got some salad with melon, strawberries and chicken on it. I liked it a lot. Buttermilk Spice muffin was great. My friend had the raspberry tea and it was strange. Really watery tasting and bright red... where'd the tea go? Our server was great. SO friendly and attentive. Me like!

We visit Mimi's once every two weeks or so for breakfast/brunch on weekends. In my opinion, there is nothing special about this place, we simply go there out of convenience, it is very close to our place. Overall, their food tastes average and service can be lousy at times.

This is an awesome place for "ladies who lunch," and it's great for anyone who wants something a little different in the Chesterfield Valley. I've been here a few times for lunch and dinner and have always been impressed. I love the decor--the inside is one of those places that is made to look like you're outside. For some reason, I always love that. Mimi's drops you in a city street in New Orleans. And the food selection is great. They have a lot of fresh and healthy items and offer fresh fruit (that is actually fresh fruit). Their salads and wraps are really good. The last time I was there I had the grilled chicken and fruit plate because I wanted something lighter, and it was just what I was looking for. It was also served with one of their giant muffins, and while I couldn't finish the whole thing, it was so delicious. Do yourself a favor and try the buttermilk spice muffin. It's also reasonably priced. The next time you are looking for somewhere a little different for breakfast, lunch or dinner, I think Mimi's is a great choice.

I went here for dinner. It had been a couple of years since I had been there, but the food was just as good as I remembered. Their muffins are fantastic. I am not usually a fan of wontons, but theirs were very tasty and not bland. The only complaint I had was that my boyfriend and I had a to wait a long time for our food, and when were were there, it was not busy. We mentioned something to our waiter, and the manager came over and gave us a complimentary appetizer card for our next meal. I thought that was good especially since we didn't even request to talk to the manager, but she thought it was important to come over and apologize for our long wait.

Just finished breakfast here. The food was delicious. I had the mixed berry French toast and my friend has the mardi gras omelette and both exceeded our expectations. Service was very good as we never were waiting for drinks and the coffee was always been topped off. If I lived in St Louis this would definitely become a regular spot I attended

A friend of mine recently suggested to meet her for lunch at Mimis. I was very hesitant as I absolutely hated the two dinners I had to endure at a Mimi's in Northern California. Right up there with Cheesecake Factory high fat, high calorie, chain food gross. I'm sorry, but I find Mimi's decor to be quite tacky and commercial. Anyway, I can't believe how crowded the Chesterfield location was at noon. And noisy as hell. I think that every woman who "lunches" and wasn't at the Cheesecake Factory in the mall was here. We had to practically yell at each to be heard. But, the salad selections weren't bad. I had the Chicken and spinach with fresh fruit. It was actually quite good and well presented. Service was friendly. Therefore three stars for the salads. I can't believe I just gave them that. I must be feeling overly generous today,

Wandered in hoping I'd found somewhere close to eat. When my iced tea had a nasty taste I was worried about my choice. Turns out I was right to worry. I ordered shrimp and steak, the shrimp was frozen and when I say that I mean literally. It was white, rubbery and still frozen inside. The steak was tasteless and extremely chewy. The only thing positive I have to say is the manager was attentive, he noticed my plate pushed to the side (my waitress did not) and came over to see what was wrong. Of course he comp'd the food and offered me free food. Anything I wanted from the menu. He even gave me four muffins to take free of charge. I gave them to the front desk at my hotel. I won't be going back.

Delicious fresh food items and completely adorable decor....this place is great. I have been here for brunch a few times and I have yet to be disappointed. The fresh fruit is amazing and shockingly enough, is not from a can, but actually fresh made fruit salad. I had one of the most amazing omelets of my life at this place. They positively stuffed the thing full of veggies. It was so huge I couldn't finish it, but I wanted to oh so badly. And of course, the veggies were fresh and the perfect compliment to the eggs and cheese. If you are looking for somewhere a little different with healthy options, friendly service, and you are out in Chesterfield Valley, this is definitely the place to go.

By default, huge portion sizes of very good food. Their chicken pot pie was incredible tonight. They also offer "just right" dinners that are more sane portion sizes for a bit less. Great dinner, nice ambience. Definitely worth a trip in if you're on the Missouri River floodplain area.

Went to lunch near the "longest strip mall in the world" and landed at Mimi's. Our table ordered the hummus plate and zucchini sticks to munch on before lunch, and washed it down with a few Arnold Palmers. The waiter, Joel, was random and super excited every time he brought our table another drink...announcing "Arnold Palmer!" Our table shared a few entrees. My grandma ordered a shrimp plate that came with a salad, but she never got it. I ordered soup and Joel forgot to order it, so it came out half-way through the meal. And, my mother ordered a salad that came with a muffin (why, I am not sure, but Joel asked what kind of muffin she wanted) and she never got that either. What we did get was ok and filled our stomachs. Overall, it was an alright experience and I preferred the company to the food..so it was a successful family lunch.

Poor service, staff more interested in eachother than the customers (greeting showing pictures on her phone to someone ignoring us standing 3 feet away). Daughters pancakes were close to fried. Omlete was reheated. Coffee reheat had an ammonia type flavor - had to spit it out. Unpleasant all around.

So I met a friend out here for lunch today, haven't visited this place in years and it's exactly how I remembered it to be. The inside looks like your grandmother's house, but there's something very endearing about that. The food is very comforting (and fattening). Who offers muffins as a free side?!?! I actually decided to get the Asian Chop salad (which was delish, btw) to compensate for the muffin, the roll and two raisin breads that they gave to me. Geesus, I need to get to a gym!!

  • Tricia M.

I know it's a chain, I know it's cheesy but it's also one of the few places around here that you can get something good, healthy (minus the Muffin the size of your head) and fresh fruit instead of fried on everything and everything fried... two thumbs up for me, i go all the time!

    (4)
  • Lisa Y.

Love it! I could go on all day about the brunch menu and the MUFFINS! Yes, they are the size of your head. But OH SO GOOD! There's enough variety on their menu to please a whole group of people, including the small fries. This Chesterfield location is non-smoking ... another big plus when you have kids with asthma. If you want to eat healthy, they have quite a few options and you can substitute easily. Consistent service and great food even when they are busy.
