Lion’s Choice

This is my go-to spot for some fast food. Probably one of the more healthier choices in terms of burgers and all. The roast beef sandwiches they serve here are tremendous. The roast beef is nothing like the ones they serve over at Arby's. I wouldn't even call Arby's roast beef. Lion's Choice roast beef is seasoned just right and you really don't have a choice when it comes to how well you want it done. It's just medium/medium rare. If you don't like your beef that way, please don't come here and then complain you didn't get your well done roast beef. If you love pure beef flavor, you cannot go wrong coming here. The thinly sliced beef is lean and mean. You don't ever have to worry about being too greasy. Although, the fresh hot piping fries accompanying your sandwich says otherwise. I usually opt for the King's roast beef meal which is the largest combo you can get. You get the pick of the litter when it comes to sauces ranging from au jus, horseradish, bbq and chipotle along with the usual ketchup and mustard. I usually mix up my own. I get a big sauce cup for the au jus and I grab another big sauce cup to mix my 2/3 ketchup and 1/3 chipotle sauce. It's pretty tasty! Service is always friendly here. I don't usually give 5 stars to a fast food chain restaurant but this one definitely deserves it. Parking is abundant here so just park right on in and eat some pure freshly sliced roast beef.
This Lions choice is really close to my house so I stop here from time to time. The food is on par with all the other locations around STL. The staff is nice and pretty quick. I always make sure to get a small dipped cone because they are so cheap and perfect size!
For a fast food restaurant, Lion's Choice is the lion's mane. I really like their roast beef sandwiches. The beef is seasoned and cooked just right. The french fries are shoestring cut and delicious. The counter staff are always friendly and upbeat. This is the way a fast food restaurant should be.

Had Orange chicken and fried beef rice. I'm from los Angeles so I won't be eating here again any time soon. But god was it good! Lots of food and cheap! You'll love it!
5 star value- QUANTITY, actually bite into sized piece meat & freshly cooked 3 star for being "Americanized" & lower flavor 2 star dine-in dive experience & no delivery (take-out is best) I had $5.10 Hunan chicken combo plate & a $1.50 16oz bowl of hot & sour soup. 2nd visit Braised Shrimp combo (no veggies) 3rd visit- I got $5.10 combo Chicken & Veggies in garlic sauce with $0.30 extra bean sprouts (best meal so far) -Combo plates are available @ all hours (I got mine @ 8:30 PM on a Saturday night.) -Combo plate's 2 Crab rangoon (not very well stuffed) are in a separate bag because there is no room in the styrofoam container -huge bed of pork fried rice -HUGE pieces of chicken & veggies that I ate in bites -I went back for braised shrimp. They gave nice size pieces of shrimp also -the soup for $1.50 with bag of crunchy noodles was big enough for some peoples complete meals (not me) -I liked how thick with ingredients the soup was, but seemed to be missing mushrooms. (It maybe just my 16 oz serving) -they have "extras" on the menu like bean sprouts that can dress up a meal for 30 cents.
I am a Chinese connoisseur. I've had Chinese in St Louis from everywhere from Frontenac to funky town. the best that I have found any where is China house in Bridgeton. the restaurant seems very clean, you can watch them cook your food, and it taste remarkable. if you're ordering food at lunch time, phone ahead or you'll have to wait. the portion sizes are huge. The first time I ordered a combo plate I asked them if I had the right order because it was so large. bottom line is I'm glad I found this place because good and consistent Chinese is hard to find.

Had lunch at Brickhouse Pizza ...very good! So happy to have decent pizza finally available in Bridgeton! Staff was very attentive and friendly. I see the Fortel's influence however this pizza was better than any Fortel's I've had! Generous with toppings and the chicken on the buffalo pizza was still juicy... not an easy accomplishment when you put chicken on a pizza!
I've eaten at Brickhouse Pizza a few times when I've had business to attend to in that part of town, and I must say that every experience I've had has definitely been worth the stop. You see, the thing that makes this pizzeria truly remarkable is that the owner decided to build a bowling alley around it, so that after eating your scrumptious pizza, or salad, or sandwich, you can bowl a few games, have a little fun, and maybe burn off some of those heavenly calories you just consumed. It really is like the best of both worlds, like a toned-down version of an amusement park with a fine dining establishment inside. Definitely a pleasant, and unexpected surprise. So, how is the food at Brickhouse, you ask? I would answer that it's good enough to get me to come to a bowling alley several different times for reasons other than bowling. In other words, it's very good. They have a very extensive menu for a restaurant that operates from inside a bowling alley, including a number of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and desserts, in addition to their pizza, which they proudly proclaim is made with the freshest ingredients, including dough which is made from scratch daily. It's this attention to freshness and quality that sets them apart from some other local pizzerias and allows Brickhouse to stand on its own as a truly great place to eat. The sandwiches that I have tried so far are excellent. The Tuscan Chicken especially, made with fresh chunks of chicken, bacon pieces, provelone cheese, and barbeque sauce, on a roll of french bread was absolutely exquisite, and will definitely keep me coming back. Though I still need to come back to try their pizza. It is worth mentioning also that the guys and girls who work at Brickhouse are friendly and polite, not to mention attentive and swift. I am greeted pleasantly every time I walk in there, and the girls at Brickhouse take my order promptly and make my food quickly and with the finest attention to detail and quality. And the prices are very reasonable, so I will definitely be coming back to Brickhouse sometime soon. Maybe next time I'll stick around long enough to bowl a few games and try their delectable-smelling pizza! Another great thing about Brickhouse is that they are open late, until 10pm during the week, and until 11pm or Midnight on the weekend, so if you're bowling a few games late at night and happen to get a hankering for a pizza or a sandwich, they're just a short walk away. And I bet if you're nice, you could convince them to bring the pizza to you so you could bowl and enjoy delicious food simultaneously! So if you're in the area and have a craving for something fresh and delicious for lunch or dinner, consider stopping in for what will surely be the best meal you've ever eaten in a bowling alley.
I went in just to try some new pizza. The people that work there are very friendly. Will be back soon. And the price is right for lunch.

Always satisfied with the service here and would urge anyone who hasn't been to Fazoli's to pay them a visit.
Food is great. Restroom was NASTY.
Great food as always with a new twist. Just short of full service. You still get your own drinks but they serve your food, take the plates and are constantly making rounds to clean the tables. Dishes and silverware are upgraded as well. Essentially you get fast food and great prices with sit down service. It is a great balance.

White Castle

Reviews:
I'm happy to say that the night shift employee at this location turned my would-be 2 star review into a 4 star one! I pulled in at 12:58 am hoping to try the chicken and waffle sliders, 'cause dammit I love chicken and waffles in general, and had just heard that White Castle had these. There was one guy ahead of me. No biggie. Well, when we move ahead to the first window, we had to wait...and wait....and wait....and wait...and wait. It was 1:18 when the guy in front of me was handed his one bag of food. As he pulls off, the worker yells out, "wait, wait!!!" and the customer proceeds to blindly back up to get another bag of food. The asshat then attempts to pull out...but still has his car in reverse and nearly plows into me. I pull up, and he explains that he gave the other man my food. "I promise I'll make it right, though; your food is on me." Fat chicks + free food = better reviews. Thanks, dude! All in all, it was close to a 30 minute ordeal, but it was nice to see that the employee in this screw-up gave a damn about the customer experience. Further, the chicken and waffles was DELISH. My stomach usually doesn't do well with fast food, but the sandwiches didn't leave me nauseated at all, which is unusual. And they were genuinely good! Pricey, but good. I have no idea what the employee's name was, but kudos to him for making things right.
This location has the veggie sliders! I know that not all locations are offering them so I want to be sure to point out any locations that do. Keep in mind that the veggie slider patties are vegan but the buns are not. (Buns are vegetarian.) White Castle corporate office says that they are working on a vegan bun. I assume that if the sliders do well, they may become a permanent staple. As for this location specifically, this is my go to location whenever I go back home, and per my DD's request, it is always the 1st stop. So when I was home last month, I got to try the veggie sliders. They were very good! Try them plain, with ketchup, or with the Thai sauce, which is vegan. Yum! I know from past experience that this location commonly messes up orders, so just be sure to double-check your order before pulling away from the window, or off of the lot. Customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get attitude, sometimes you won't. But it's White Castle...home of the gas burgers; people come here for punishment.
Burgers tasted freezer burnt. Yuck. Dining area was dirty. Floor was so greasy my daughter was sliding on it. 2 stars only because the lady at the counter was courteous. Would never have come here except had an out of town guest that had not had a slider in probably 10 years and was feeling reminiscent.

Good bowling alley. It had an older feel to it which I loved for the nostalgia. They had classic Brunswick 2000 systems which they were nice enough to give a tour of. They had older rear projection score display screens which was a lovely 90s touch. The lanes showed signs of use. The bar allowed smoking which you don't see much anymore. I love the smell of smoke in a bowling alley - it brings me back.
3 of us went to bowl here today with a certificate that we won from a silent auction for a free hour of bowling and free pizza. We bowled for our hour and then ordered the pizza from the Brickhouse Pizza window. I then stood for 10 minutes to order drinks and a couple of appetizers from the food counter. There were 3 employees running the entire place. One in the Brickhouse Pizza area, one oiling the lanes and one at the front counter. Once he finally came to take our order, I ordered 2 large diet pepsi's and a large tea ($3 each, which seemed extremely high to me). I asked him if we could order food or if they only made food during certain times (this was 1pm on a Saturday that I was asking this question). He didn't seem too interested in making food but said he would (I planned to order chicken strips, fries and pretzels) with the response he gave me I decided to just order 3 pretzels with cheese, thinking that couldn't be too hard on him. He said they would be ready in 5-6 minutes. We sat at a table, the pizza girl brought out the pizza, we finished the entire pizza and still hadn't received our pretzels. NO ONE was in there at this time because open bowling had just ended since leagues were coming in soon. The guy oiling the lanes was now eating a huge order of nachos that he made for himself and the guy running the counter was wiping tables off and talking with 2 guys who were free bowling before their league started. I approached the guy eating his nachos and asked if we could just have our money back on the pretzels that we were waiting over 20 min for. He got the guy who was talking with the league bowlers who said "OH shit", meaning he realized he COMPLETELY forgot our food. He proceeded to get us the money back. HOWEVER, we paid tax on the food that we purchased and were only given the $7.35 back that the pretzels with cheese cost. Meaning they pocketed the 61 cents tax that we paid and wasted almost an hour of our time between the time we waited to order, waited for our food and waited to get our money back. To sum this up, if you want to bowl and only bowl this is an ok place to go. The pizza was fantastic, really good actually, and was brought out to us quickly (the pizza is the reasoning behind my 2 star review- the bowling alley itself would not have received any stars). They are EXTREMELY under staffed. Service in the other food area sucks, really bad. I don't know why it is even offered considering I seemed to be putting them out by ordering. We NEVER even got the food we ordered. To make it right once we asked for our money back he could have offered to make the pretzels real quick. The fact that he didn't shows that he had no intention of ever making them for us. We went here today to celebrate my husbands birthday weekend. What a joke that was! I don't plan to go back. I am pissed that we left money in their pockets (the tax that he pocketed) and angry that I ever bid on that prize at the silent auction we attended a few months back.
I came to Kingpin Lanes for a work outing, and I really wanted to like it. I mean, it was free for me, and there was food and drink included as well. What's not to like? The staff and the facilities, right? The facilties were just fun. Nothing out of the ordinary. It's a pretty typical, maintained bowling alley. Guess you've figured where that leaves us. The staff. We had a busted lane, and when I explained what was happening to one of the staff there, one of the first things he said was "Well, usually we find these sorts of problems to be user error" with a smug look on his face. So I explained again - the computer on the lane would randomly jump to the middle of the frame, reset the pins on the second bowl of the frame, or God willing, actually work properly. He kept explaining what I already knew like I was an idiot. Yes, I understood what the problem was. What HE didn't seem to understand is that we were resetting the frame as necessary to get on track, and it kept happening. It wasn't something we were doing. It was pretty infuriating. I'd assume if you had a working lane, Kingpin Lanes would be a fine spot, but if you have to deal with some issues, don't expect much help or sympathy from the staff.
