Good Indian buttered chicken. The Naan we got was different from was we are used to. The Naan with nuts had ground up nuts.

  • Brittney T.

The owners are very personable and have mastered a true balance of flavors. The bread basket is to die for, as well as their lamb dishes.

  • LeeAnn D.

I lived in Africa for a year and fell in love with Indian food, this is the most authentic I have found! I would highly recommend the Onion Naan, chicken Korma and Lamb paneer. Awesome, can't wait to come back!

Decided to give this a try after seeing good reviews here on Yelp We ordered our food to go, and the service was very prompt and friendly. The meals were delicious and plentiful. My one and only complaint is that we ordered our dishes either medium or spicy, and they did not have the spiciness that we desired. Otherwise, the food was quite tasty.

Delicious food and good service. It was a happy surprise finding something I'm Branson that was not American. Loved it!

Excellent meal and wonderful service! Samosa chat and the Clay Oven Mixed Grill with butter naan-highly recommend.

  • Steve H.

I love Indian good Indian food. I had the chicken biryani and my wife had ginger chicken. Both were great. Good service. Good came out hot. Wait staff attentive. One thing to keep in mind is we could have ordered one item and it would have been more than enough. We will be back.

As a transplant from the Boston area, I used to enjoy a fairly wide selection of excellent Indian restaurants to choose from. Trying to find a good one in the southwestern Missouri/northwestern Arkansas area is another whole ball game. But India Clay Oven in Branson is a home run! Service was fast, atmosphere is pleasant. And the food? In a word, superb! Appetizer, 2 types of bread, and 2 different entrees; all were top notch, and fully the equal of the best Indian food I had had in the Boston area. And we're talking Branson, Missouri. Do yourself a favor, if you're in the area, GO!

  • Donna G.

The food was excellent and the service impeccable. My husband and I had the chicken korma and the vegetable korma, allong with spinach bread. The chai tea was the best Ive ever had and th rice pudding was so good, we got a second order to go!! This will be our "go to" place when we visit Branson!!

  • Lindsey H.

This restaurant was amazing. I may have had some of the best naan in my life. Not only was the food delicious but the staff were attentive and friendly. There was an entire page for vegetarian options, which made it hard to chose. I had mattar paneer, medium and vegetable samosas. It was delicious. This is highly recommended for vegetarians in this town.

  • Catherine G.

Absolutely amazing dining experience!! The food was amazing - we ordered the cheese and spinach naan, vegetable platter, and chicken tikka masala. Each dish was delicious and perfectly seasoned! The owner and staff of the restaurant were extremely nice and the service was excellent :). I will be back!!!!!

AMAZING!! Wonderful flavors. Great service. We had lamb Korma and Chicken Kihira. Both were excellent. Could not be more pleased with the meal!

  • Lynne R.

Very good Indian food! We ordered vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, and lamb naan. All were tasty, hot, and came promptly. Quick, friendly service too.

    (5)
  • Josh B.

I like this place a lot. The food is authentic and the staff is friendly. They do a buffet lunch on Fridays. I highly recommend the butter chicken and/or the lamb korma. The naan is killer too.

    (5)
  • Kelli D.

This place is amazing! The didn't have something on the menu that we wanted so they made it fresh! The tikka masala and butter chicken was awesome as well the garlic naan! Service was five star!

  • Dave S.

Food is ok, but nothing to write home about. Waiters and the manager got an attitude problem. Would not go back.

  • Rebecca B.

Wonderful food and excellent service. Owner is overly friendly and attentive. A refreshing gem to find in Branson. Kid-friendly food and atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

  • Christopher H.

Our family ate here last night and was very impressed! The restaurant has an extensive menu with many authentic choices. Our service was quick and very cheerful. The most impressive, however, was the food. Very tasty and well seasoned, it was the best Indian food we'd had.

    (5)
  • Emily V.

It took 20 min for the waiter to take our order and then almost 40 for the food to arrive. Waiter was continuously pressuring us to order things we didn't want, then he charged us for a naan refill... I have never been to a restaurant where they charged for this. The food was decent but had less flavor than what I'm used to getting. I ordered Medium spice and my husband ordered Mild, but his was spicier than mine. Tables are very close together which was uncomfortable. Overall it just didn't live up to what I would expect for the price (meals were $15ish each).

    (2)
  • Lux L.

Excellent food and service!!!! We waited a bit but well worth it!!!! Will definitely come back again!

    (5)
  • Shawn F.

Food is excellent. Service is good. But price is too high for what you get. Also didn't think portions were very generous. I think it's because seating is very limited and price point keeps it full enough. Either way good experience just expect to pay for it. Tiki masala sauce is spectacular.

Food was great, nice atmosphere. Delightfully surprised by this gem in Branson. Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this restaurant is worth checking out. The owner / manager gave us personal attention and yummy rice pudding.

  • Restaurant Queen N.

In trying to reach the owner of this restaurant I found him to be rude and nasty and closed minded. He did not give me the time of day and refused to even listen to the reason for my call. I would not dine here if it was the last place to eat in Branson! How do you treat people so disrespectfully????? Seriously I would hope he has a good staff because his demeanor is downright rotten!

  • April W.

We don't live in Branson but it was worth the drive! Great food and great service. Family friendly!

  • Sara G.

We had buffet lunch while we are staying at Branson. They offered typical Indian buffet lunch: curry, chicken, fish, green salad bar. The place was packed. We had enjoyed our food.

    (5)
  • Rebekah T.

If you are looking for a place to eat after most everything thing else has closed, this is the place to be. The staff was very friendly and jovial. We ate family style and enjoyed the flavors of the lamb tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and chicken tikka. The entrees were all good, except that the chicken was dry, it was a pity since everything else about the dish was great. For appetizers we had the paneer pakora and lasoni gobi. The sauces with the paneer were very good. The lasoni gobi was amazing, I would visit here just to sit and eat plate after plate of it.

We visited Branson on 6/24 and 6/25. We were looking for a restaurant offers vegetarian food. My husband spotted this restaurant at Hwy 76. We knew right away that this restaurant is able to serve vegetarian dishes. We ordered lentil soup, salad, mixed vegetable, and basmati rice. The salad was large and I was able to ask for Italian dressing. The lentil soup was vegetarian. The waitress assured us that it was. All was good and tasty. My husband's favorite cuisine is Indian and he was really glad to find this one. What we liked was that this restaurant opened late, unlike other restaurants in Hwy 76 (most of them closes at 8pm, what's up with this?). We came back the next day for lunch and ordered naan, baigan bartha(eggplant), yellow lentil dish, and basmati rice. They were all so goood. We are so surprised that the Indian food in Branson is pretty authentic. It is better than the Indian restaurant in Springfield, MO. This is a surprising find in a land of meat and dairy. Not many people in this region understands authentic Indian dishes. I hope they will survive and stay open in this kind of economy. So when we come back to this area we can revisit them again.

  • Amy C.

First time to have Indian cuisine! Excellent! Great service and very friendly staff! Portions are large enough to share family style.

  • Jessica C.

An Indian restaurant...in BRANSON?!? This is in a new strip mall and the restaurant itself is very nice. Service was a little slow, but friendly. The vegetable samosas were generously portioned. The vegetable korma was good, but I've had better. Naan was good, too. If I'm ever back in Branson, I'd definitely eat here again.

    (4)
  • Marty S.

I've had Indian food all over the country in most every major big city and this place is my very favorite over all of them. Try the mixed grill and you will be amazed! :)

    (5)
  • Ginger T.

This is my favorite restaurant in Branson, and definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The service is very friendly. The atmosphere is pretty authentic with some awesome Bollywood films showing. The naan is also great because of the clay oven. As a vegetarian, the menu has tons of options, all of which have been delicious. I go here every time I visit Branson, and I highly suggest it to everyone who likes Indian food.

    (5)
  • Colin F.

Best Indian food I've ever had. Fast, friendly service. Skip the traditional places in Branson and eat here.

    (5)
  • Steph C.

I may have had Indian food in the past..you can see how good it was because I don't remember. This restaurant is another thing all together! From the superbly prepared food to the wonderful staff.. Everything was excellent! I will visit Branson just to go to this place! In the week we were in Branson I ate here twice! Take my advice..don't eat anywhere else!!

    (5)
  • Ian T.

Really good food with great attitude. Very clean. The staff were very pleasant. The manager was always laughing which made a great environment. Food was excellent. We had to wait a few minutes on a Sunday night in October. That is usually a good sign. A pleasant surprise in Branson.

    (5)
  • Larry B.

Wow, what great Indian food. Much better than Gem of India in Springfield. We were visiting Branson for the day and came across this restaurant on Yelp. Surprisingly, it had great reviews for an Indian place in Branson. It has an awkward location in a shopping center, but other than that it's great. The owner is very nice and went out of his way to make sure everything was wonderful. The food was very fresh. The naan was fantastic. We were there for lunch and the buffet was well stocked and fresh. Great food, I would highly recommend it.

    (5)
  • Ganesh S.

It was packed when we went in at 2:15 PM. We waited a little bit for a table. Had the lunch buffet. Buffet has limited selection but food was good. Service was great! Will go back for sure when I visit Branson.

  • Kay F.

Absolutely wonderful meal! Excellent service and very helpful staff. The chicken korma was spectacular! This restaurant has moved to the top of our favorites.

  • G P.

We got the chicken tikka, aloo saga, and chicken vandaloo. ALL WERE GREAT!!! The tikka came out sizzling the chicken had a nice crisp outside with tender juicy chicken so delicious. Aloo saga was a tasty treat with some potatoes in it which I haven't seen before. I've never had the vandaloo before but gosh its something I'll get again. Not to mention how nice the staff was always filling the water and making sure you had everything you need. Excellent experience.

Very clean place..the waitress attention was immaculate and highly profesional. Food was great.....a small good Indian restaurant ..

  • Carol M.

We had Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori Chicken along with a couple other entrees. Everything was delicious and service was fast and friendly. Don't miss this one!

Who would expect such an excellent Indian dining experience in Branson? We came to check out the lunch buffet and found our new favorite restaurant in Branson.

Just had lunch & food/service were excellent. All the reviews are correct. Great find.

  • Duane R.

Ate there with my daughter and her family on our last day in Branson, and wish we had gone there sooner. It was one of the best Indian meals I had ever eaten. The food had the right amount of spice and tasted great. Even my picky granddaughters loved the food, and kept stealing chicken from my plate. I have eaten in Indian restaurants in different parts of the world, but if I am ever in Branson, I would definitely make this one of my first places to eat!!

    (5)
  • PhuongLan C.

We love the atmosphere and the food. The owner, Ram, is very helpful in helping us with what to order. The food did not take long to come out and the service is prompt. The tamarind dipping sauce is delicious at appetizer. My son is an eight-year-old picky eater and I was worried about what to get for him but Ram recommended the ginger chicken and it was spot on with basmati rice. I love the chicken tikka masala. I don't have any room left in my stomach or I'll want to order the sea bass tikka, too.

    (5)
  • Emily M.

I ate here for lunch and this place was delicious!! I had a tough tome deciding between the butter chicken and tikka masala but ended up choosing the tikka masala. At medium heat it was the perfect amount of spicy and the chicken was so tender. I also had garlic nan bread on the side and it was very good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bc I think this place is a little pricey. If the entrees were just a few bucks cheaper it would be more reasonable. Also maybe if they had lunch size portions or a lunch menu bc it was way too much food for lunch. I guess I just get to enjoy the leftovers.

    (4)
  • Mary S.

What a great place! The owner served us and was so nice, brought us comped items all through the meal. The lamb vindaloo is excellent, and I recommend any of the naan varieties.

    (5)
  • Dana W.

This was my first experience with Indian food and it was wonderful. We went close to closing time but they were friendly and accommodating. Tandoori chicken was the best.

    (5)
  • Melissa P.

We had a table of 4 and all got something different, then tried everything. Everything was amazing! We also shared an order of Kashmiri Naan. SO GOOD! The staff was fantastic - cleared the table, filled waters, and checked on us appropriately. The atmosphere was calm - no buffet at dinner, which was nice. The decor was interesting - very bright with a lot of fake flowers - but for a place like Branson it was okay. At least there wasn't a giant rooster out front. At any rate, the quality of the food and service totally outweighs any lack visual aesthetics.

  • Austin P.

I've been to this restaurant twice, both experiences were very good. The owner is a very pleasant man. The atmosphere is nice for your average curry house. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared reasonable quick. The staff was attentive. I've had very good luck with this place.

    (5)
  • Martin A.

Wow, I love indian food and this place hit the spot! And in BRANSON, Missouri no less! I was totally surprised by their quality of food and incredible, professional customer service. We will most certainly return to this gem the next time we visit this strangely entertaining city!

We're ex-New Yorkers, and very spoiled by the unbelievably great Indian restaurants in the NYC area. But seriously, the people at India Clay Oven know what they are doing. We were very pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the dishes - cooked well, presented well, and spiced just right. We had samosas to start, which were excellent. Wife had ginger chicken, which had been cooked on skewers and then extracted and presented on a sizzling cast iron dish with onion, pepper, and fresh lemon. I had the butter chicken, which appeared to be boneless tandoori chicken pieces in the usual creamy / tomato sauce. A little unconventional in the method of cooking the chicken, but it worked. It was just different to see the chicken with the trademark red tint from the tandoor. I asked for medium heat, and it was delivered perfectly. We also had the naan and saag panak (spinach and potato). Very good. We were really happy to find an Indian restaurant of this caliber in Branson. Recommended if you are looking to get your curry fix!

  • Marie C.

A real nice change of pace when deciding where to eat. We started with the garlic naan which was fresh and delicious flatbread. A single green salad will feed two people with fresh tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers and garlic croutons. We had the butter chicken which was really good. I would recommend sharing and if you are still hungry just order another dish. The service was great and I enjoyed watching the Indian TV music channel. Give this place a try.

  • Sue ann P.

We went here because the Bald Knobbers restaurant was so bad we had to walk out. This place is so fantastic! The food, staff and building were so very good! I would give it 10 stars if I could.

    (5)
  • Carmen C.

What a great break from the typical Branson scene. Very clean. I would always recommend the garlic naan bread. We also like the Aloo tiki as well as the Balti Shrimp Curry. Very consistent food and service. This is not an impersonation this is the real thing.

First time having authentic Indian food and I must say, it is excellent! A bit of advice though...share your meal with someone!! Tons of food!! Enjoy!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER,On 6/27/2012 around 9.50 pm we went there for dinner,The lady in the door greeted as"i am owners wife" and we were seated.Suddently she asked what do you like to order before ask for any drinks. We replied we try an appetizer sampler first then we go through the menu and order after a little time. She went to the kitchen and bring a guy from the kitchen, they both were looking to us and talking about us eventhough we were not able to hear anything. Then she approached to us and told us if you guys can make your order to go because we wanna go home early today cause we stayed until 11 last night. We said ok ,eventhough that was not our intention. We order Mixed grill and chicken biriyani from the menu. They brought us the packed food after about 5 minutes. The total check was $47.18.We paid that plus $3 tip eventhough we didnt even received water from them.We took the food to the hotel room and tried to eat and no way we are able to ate that food. They add some red color to meat and look like boil it or microwave some meat as Mixed Grill. It wasnt cooked at all.Chicken biriyani were with some red color chicken bones,Grapes and Cherries with some hard basmati rice.We had to throw that away ,went McDolnalds and brought 3 Big Macks for dinner. This place is a shame for Branson. All the good reviews are owners put theirself.

We have been craving good, traditional Indian food for a while, and this place was great! We ordered an appetizer, naan, and a couple entrees, and EVERYTHING was delicious. The staff was courteous and the restaurant was very clean. The next time we're in Branson, we will be stopping there!

  • Brett H.

This is my new favorite restaurant in Branson. The food is very flavorful and prepared well.

We're currently visiting Branson and drove around this afternoon looking for a diner to stop at and have lunch. Saw the India Clay Oven & Grill and thought, why not? We are so glad we did! The place is clean, the service was attentive, and food was wonderful. We ordered the appetizer sampler, and Butter Chicken to share, and we still had leftovers (there are two of us). Will definitely stop by here again the next time we come to Branson! By the way, if you are unsure about what to order, on Saturdays they have a buffet which will allow you to try several different menu items.

    (5)
  • Vick W.

We did not eat here. Sign said lunch buffet and gave hours we went to try buffet to see what we might like as we had never eaten Indian. Looked at menus which said they had lunch buffet but were told buffet was only on Friday and Saturday. Checked menu for lunch specials as meals were dinner priced. We left without ordering as I was not willing to pay dinner prices for something that I was not tried before.

  • Kevin L.

My family and I love GREAT Indian food. We were pleasantly surprised to find the India Clay Oven and Grill to fit that bill. The food was better than we usually get, so we really enjoyed it. Also, the staff there are very nice and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone who LOVES GREAT food! We got the Chicken Tika Masala, Aloe Gobi, Chana Masala, Mahi Mahi Masala (?) so you know what to get :^)

  • K B.

A pleasant surprise! Clean, quaint and warm. Service was excellent and very attentive. They were very helpful on selecting menu items. First time my wife had Indian food and she really liked it. She ordered one of the more popular chicken dishes I ordered a lamb dish. Mine was suppose to be mildly spicy but was quite hot in a good way. I would make sure if you don't like spicy hot you ask them what dishes fit or have them tone the spices down. Food was served fresh and hot. The spinach bread we selected was unique and very tasty. We had their rice pudding and a sweet cheese dumpling for desert. The rice pudding was outstanding. The cheese dish was interesting and tasty, just different. All up, we will definitely eat here again and recommend to others for something different and unique.

  • Stephanie M.

I had some reservations about eating here just because of the look outside of the building. Don't let looks deceive you. This was authentic and Delicious! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be dinning here again!

Visiting Branson and wanting Indian. The Vegetable Samosa, Dal Tarka, and whole wheat Naan were all excellent. Service was attentive. No complaints, would definitely patronize if lived in the area!

  • Atiq Q.

Great Indian restaurant. Came here twice now during my 5 day business trip in Branson. The Chicken Biryani is amazing! The Chicken Tikka Massala and Vindaloo are very tasty. The owner is super nice.

    (5)
  • Andy A.

Great food and service. Everything we had was delicious and hit the spot just right. The prices may bit a little high for the portions, but for being a specialty restaurant and the only one of its kind in the area, one can expect to pay as much. Their rice was cooked to perfection and each dish left nothing to be desired. The garlic naan is delicious and as a Mexican, served as a wonderful tortilla even though that may not be traditional for Indian food. Overall, the restaurant was very clean and the staff very friendly. My wife and I would definitely go again.

    (5)
  • Elana L.

This is a great place to go if you want a mix of spicy and mild Indian Cuisine! I'm not a fan of spicy food so I tend to be leery to try new Indian Restaurants. However, Yelp didn't steer me wrong, yet again! Buffet style with many choices...chicken, beef, fish, vegetarian. A great variety of dishes to try. They also had a mango yogurt drink they they highly recommended. Of all the things we tried, the mango drink would be the only thing I don't recommend. We will definitely be back!

    (4)
  • Jill G.

Wow, so good. Definitely one of the best restaurants we've encountered so far in Branson. Our kids are pretty picky and enjoyed the tikki chicken, bread and white rice but it's not necessarily a kid friendly environment. Glass goblets for my children make me a little uneasy. The staff and owner were very accommodating and friendly. A must try, don't be intimidated.

    (5)
  • Nathan V.

Most likely the single best thing in all of Branson. Everything we've tried is incredible. We vacation near Branson and make it a point to hit this place every time. The staff and service are great too.

    (5)
  • Colin L.

Amazing!! Great food excellent atmosphere. The only bad thing to say about the experience is that I couldn't fit more food in my stomach. You may want to get there a little early as we came in at 5 (when they opened) and the place filled up quickly. There was no rush from the extremely nice staff though. It was nice authentic Indian cuisine. The food was flavorful and the portions were large. Next time I visit I will definitely be stopping in.

  • Gulshan U.

Excellent Indian food Punjabi style. Owner is very friendly and lively guy with his sons working for him. Only Indian place in Branson and it gets 4*. Can't be better than this. Buffet during the day is great. Especially the fish pakora (fried fish) and all the desi versions of salads are amazing. Naan's are of high quality. All veg and non-veg gravies are very well done and balanced on spices. Mango lassi (yogurt drink) is a must try. Would highly recommend this restaurant and will eat there every time we r in Branson.

    (4)
  • Fawn R.

You know you've found a great place for Indian food when half the tables are occupied by Indian families. We have eaten here twice now and really enjoy the food. They have an extensive menu with the typical curries and kormas, alongside some other more unique (at least here in the midwest) items. India Clay Oven is family owned and run, and you will most likely have the opportunity to interact with the owner, who is never afraid to give you opinions on what you should eat/drink during your visit. Take his advice, sit back, relax, and see how many peacocks you can count in the decor.

  • Bayarea B.

One of the worst servicing I had ever seen. Food is ok. Owner is murmuring all the times. Probably he wanted every one to leave within 10 minutes. Also it looks like he doesnt like kids. If they make small noise also, he is shouting. Will never suggest anyone or wont return here. I have seen other people also didnt like thier servicing. He should probably keep a board "Kids are not allowed."

  • Kat T.

I don't even know where to start extolling the virtues of this amazing gem hidden in plain site in Branson. The man working (I think the owner) was charming. The samosas perfect, the tamarind sauce perfectly tart yet sweet, the saag smooth and spicy, and the owner brought us complimentary rice pudding that was light and floral. I will drive from Springfield to Branson specifically to eat here - its amazing!

    (5)
  • Deeks K.

Did a take out. The DalMakhni was good, dhaba-style Indian. The paneer tikka masala was way to creamy to be called tikka masala but was okay. The paratha was tough, the naan was excellent. The hospitality was good. It's the only Indian restaurant in the area so I guess for the "options available" it's pretty nice.

  • Ray B.

This is a great spot for Indian food. The flavors were fresh, speedy service and delicious dessert. We ordered the lamb curry, butter chicken and lamb korma. The lamb was slightly dry and lacked flavor. The sauces were delicious. Portions were generous and we had leftovers. Appreciated the yummy mango custard that finished off our meal. If you like Indian food this is the spot for you!

  • Eatzi M.

This is legit. Yeah I know in the middle of Branson, MO??? I've lived in NYC and my husband has lived in India so we know Indian food even though we aren't Indian. Is it the best we've had? Of course not, but for Branson, it's pretty DG. Favs were the Palak Paneer (Saag Paneer), the Korma and Tandoori Mix platter - the prawns were amazing. The yogurt raita is great too. One of the best mango lassis and rice pudding I've had too. The rice was bit dry and I've had better garlic naan but all in all a great Indian meal among the pizzas and burgers of Branson.

  • Noah P.

Wait staff was VERY helpful and happy to have us dine with them! Very nice and friendly! Be very clear with your order because he will read it back very fast to confirm! Gave candy to the kids for dessert! Very nice! Chicken tiki Marsala was delicious as well as the chicken curry!! We have traveled the world and this was very good! Garlic naan also a nice treat especially dipped in the curry or sweet sauce. Definitely take the kids and let them experience different cultures! Appetizer was vegetable samosa and it was incredible! Get it!!

My image on Branson is,... 2nd tier or even 3rd tier shows... targeted for older generations... very little Asian tourists. What's worse, most of the restaurants are crappy. Not this one. For a typical meal, I recommend the vegetable platter, pick a couple of naan items and go with any entree with non-tandoori dishes, so you can dip the naans into the sauce. Biryani is the way to go if you're less adventurous. Very friendly service, the restaurant is clean, and dishes are served reasonably quick.

Would give 6 stars if I could. The food: We started off with an appetizer of samosas. Delicious. Perfectly fried, not too greasy, and filled with fluffy potatoes with peas and Indian spices. For the entree we ordered a mixed vegetable dumpling and a vegetable curry to share. I also had an Indian tea which was similar to chai tea. They bring it unsweetened so you sweeten yourself. The vegetable dumpling dish had a creamy orange sauce with loads of flavor but not too spicy. Just how I like. The curry was a bit of a thinner, spicy sauce with plenty of mixed vegetables. It tasted very fresh. The service: impeccable! The owner made many suggestions on what to order since we were visiting Branson so this was obviously my first experience. He was attentive, our glass was never empty and he checked up on us to see how everything was just enough. At the end he asked us if we would be interested in rice pudding as a dessert but we were too full. He then brought us some on the house in a to go box. Such a kind gesture! He also brought us an orange creamy drink on the house with our meal. He told us that they mix it with their homemade yogurt which they make every day in store. I am sure that he does not usually offer things like these free of charge but it was certainly welcome and appreciated. We will absolutely come back when we make another trip to Branson. Loved it!

Delicious food, comparable to the best we have had in London (well known for its Indian cuisine). Very friendly service, reasonable prices for a tourist town, and of course wonderful food. We had the garlic nan (an inexpensive, flavorful bread side/appetizer) and chicken tikka masala. They offer their food in a variety of "heat" levels, which is always nice to see, and accurately described. Spice lovers will not be disappointed!

Yelp saved the day! We drive down to Branson on a Sunday for lunch only to discover our destination closed. A quick Yelp search led us here and we were thrilled to find great Indian in Branson! We will be back to Branson in a few weeks for my wife's birthday and we will be having Indian!

TL; DR: this place is legit. I travel a lot. For awhile, one of my coworkers (who is Indian and grew up in India) would take us to a place in Manhattan where he knew the owner. That place was amazing. This place (Clay Oven) blows it out of the water in every way, with the possible exception of its mediocre location in a strip mall along hwy 76. In Branson, MO of all places. Lamb Vindaloo was perfectly spiced. A nice, slow burn that didn't overwhelm the flavors but had a light sweat breaking out. Chicken tikka was rich and tender. Saag paneer creamy and complex. And the naan was fresh and charred just right from the tandoor oven. If you are anywhere near Branson and don't eat here, you are doing your taste buds a great disservice.

Some of the best Indian food I've ever had, anywhere. My wife and I shared a veggie platter appetizer and the Tandori mixed grill for dinner. Everything was spectacular. I would certainly come back.

We got Lamb, Chicken Vindaloo, chicken curry, lamb Korma, naan, malligotany? And Lamb stuffed naan. We ALL were not just satisfied but impressed. Hidden treasure of Branson. No need to be disappointed with all the other run of the mill restaurants. Staff is kind and professional. Casual but still a high standard.

The food was hot and crisp! We came here for a Saturday lunch buffet and we didn't regret it! While we were eating we watched as 2 separate parties of Native Indians walked in the door for lunch. Each party had over a dozen people in it. That's a great sign that the food is good and authentic! We are locals and we will definitely be coming back.

My sister and I arrived early for a family vacation in Branson, so we decided to go someplace a little more exotic before we had too many tastes to appease. We settled on the India Clay Grill. It's located in a strip mall in between a beef jerky store & a place with confederate flags in the windows, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Inside, they've made an effort to cultivate an Indian feel, and while successful you still know you're in a strip mall. The service was very good as with many family restaurants, with an older and younger man serving us graciously throughout the meal. My sister had a mixed grill - chicken, sausage, vegetables - and I had lamb masala. The sauce for the masala was very good and the lamb was fine but it wasn't as tender as some I've had. The mixed grill was well spiced and cooked too. The star of the show to me was the naan. We ordered two kinds as appetizers, got some with our meals, and got two more to go. Naan is like a flatbread, with spices and other things cooked into it. They cook it right in the back and serve it fresh in several varieties. The cheese naan was my favorite. We tried their hot tea and a couple of desserts but I wasn't really impressed with any of that. If you're in Branson and looking for something a little different, I'd definitely recommend checking this spot out. They'll treat you like family, give you as much or as little spice as you want, and fill your belly with delicious naan. That's a win in my book!

Is it possible to rate a restaurant as the best on earth? Probably not, but I've traveled a good deal on the globe and never tasted anything as good as the Navaratan Korma, or the Lamb Rogan Josh and Spinach Paratha. Wow. We will be back.

We've been living in Dallas for 6 years and have been craving good Indian food the whole time. What a surprise to find excellent Indian food right on the main strip of Branson, Missouri!!! Friendly service and very helpful with the menu (ordering for our young kids). You Must stop and eat here!!!

First time Indian experience. This place was AMAZING. Was somewhat crowded when I went, and they were extremely short handed, but definitely worth the wait. Owner even gave us a free desert for being so patient. I had the lamb vandaloo (sp?) while my girlfriend had the chicken curry. If you are worried about spiciness have no fear, everything comes mild unless you ask for hot. Will be my first food stop next time I'm in Branson.

Amazing Indian food! The best we've ever had. Very likely the best restaurant in Branson. We went on a Wednesday and liked it so much that we came back on Thursday. That good!

While driving around with my girlfriend, trying to figure out where to grab dinner, I was impressed with the reviews I found on yelp. However, having lived in the NYC/Philly area for the last few years I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised to find the best Tiki Masala I believe I've ever tasted. Something about it was particularly flavorful, more so than I'm accustomed to. As often as I frequent my favorite Indian restaurants, it shouldn't be taken lightly. Everything else was as you should expect, the naan was the right consistency and warm, the kheer was sweet. Turned out to be my girlfriend's first time eating Indian food and aside from the kheer, she loved it. I recommended it to my friends, and they loved it too. I'm sure I'll be back soon.

What a surprise for the usual fried fare in Branson. Service was great. Couldn't get enough of the butter chicken. It was moist and sauce was exceptional.

Came in and sat down and 15 minutes later no one still came to take our order or give is water. There was one guy up front that seemed super stressed. Doubt I'll be back to this restaurant again. So we ended up leaving and I doubt the staff even noticed we left. Felt like we were in an episode of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen nightmares. So can't say anything about the good since we didn't get to eat it.

A fan from opening the door. Small but plentiful buffet in the land of the elderly, it was a nice oasis from the Denny's and IHOP's of the world. Very nice people who work there who are genuinely thankful you just patronized their business, there should be more establishments like this.

Just wanted to add another deserving 5 star for this great restaurant. Everything good that has been said about both the staff and the food is absolutely true. Some of the warmest, friendliest, and (may I add) patient people in branson own and operate this place. Like my wife said you can actually feel the care of the owner as he glances around to catch people's expressions and impressions while they are eating. Now with that being said the staff there is not at all pushy but rather eager and willing to help you with anything you can ask them. As it was our first indian food experience I had plenty of questions which were answered with a smile and explanation. Asked which was the best lamb dish and with a half second of response time number 62 was the answer. I forgot what it was called but I'll never forget the amazing taste that ensued. I do know that my wife ordered the chicken tikka which was also great! Long story short if you're looking for great Indian food and beyond that a great meal all around try ICO you will make a friend and have a great experience.

I'm not from Branson but after being here for a few months and eating way too many French fries and milk shakes I was very happy to find this little Indian place. Immediately upon walking in I was giddy! I absolutely love Indian food so I was curious on how it would be served in a small Midwest town. Hands down this is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. I've taken my mom, brother and boyfriend (all on different occasions) and they all loved it. The man at the front door is very welcoming and the service has been fantastic each visit. This place is a "Must Try". You won't be disappointed.

My Dad brought my husband and I a trip to Branson for our improtu wedding. Included in the package was a meal voucher to various restaurants including this gem. My husband and I are both vegan, so after weeding out the all you can eat ribs and lobster locations we settled for Indian food. I am so glad we did. The owner greeted us at the door, his establishment, a small hole in the wall family owned place was just the perfect romantic night for us. The minute we walked in the air was filled with various exotic aromas. Cardamom, cumin, garam masala, curries everything you would expect and more. The food was out of this world! We will be back

I have never had a restaurant make me feel so special on my birthday. The food was excellent, it was some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The service was excellent as well. They were so kind and polite. One of my best dining experiences ever!

First time in Branson, my group decided to try this place. I'm not a big fan of Indian food so I didn't have much expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. I ordered the lentil soup and Mix Grill plate. The bread, 'Naan', was crunchy, warm, and tasty. The portions are good. Great service even during a busy evening. Good choice for dinner!

Fabulous experience! We were there on a Sunday night...restaurant was about 75% full, which was encouraging. Our server was SUPER-friendly, and very helpful and attentive. A couple of us had lamb dishes, and one had the tandoori mixed grill. We ordered a couple of extra types of naan (the mixed grill dish came with butter naan, so we also ordered garlic and spinach), and received basmati rice with our other dishes. All of the food was delicious! We left there feeling very full and happy. What a great find in the middle of the Branson craziness!

We stopped by India Clay while looking for something else. It was a marvelous accident. My wife and I split the Vegetable Pakora appetizer, an order of Naan, and an order of Chicken Tikka Masala. and it was just the right amount of food for the two of us. Having frequented the two Indian restaurants in Springfield and thoroughly enjoying them, I can say that India Clay is just slightly better than both of them. The Chicken Tikka Masala was well spiced but not too spicy, the naan was just right, and the se

I am from Kansas City. My fiancé and I had a spring break and had a chance to visit Branson, MO. I usually search yelp to find good restaurants in the area that I visit. This time, we chose this place since the reviews sounded very good. We had butter chicken and palak paneer. Those were awesome!!! We have traveled more than 30 states and tried Indian food in various restaurants, but this one is the best of them I have ever been. It is worthwhile to drive for 3-4 hours from KC to visit this place.
