This place has food similar to what you'd find at Branson Cafe or Farmhouse Family Restaurant. Why 4 stars? The service was excellent and they really tried hard to please on a day they were getting slammed! We went for lunch and they had a buffet or you could order off the menu. The buffet was all you can eat and was cheaper than most lunch entrees - it was $8.99 plus drink. The fried chicken was average, but hot, the salad station was meager but fresh, the dessert station was OK, and the other entrees and soups were good. Favorites: Their soups were outstanding. Seriously, I'd have done OK with just getting the soup and cornbread lunch (slightly less expensive) had I known. The blackberry cobbler was very good; the peach was not. Don't get the charming looking, local soda pops from the display case - I think they've been in there too long. Lastly, the hostess doubled as an attraction (ticket to shows) salesperson. The prices listed on the wall were about half price for every show - and they had them all. I'll definitely come back here just to buy tickets!

How was I to know this was going to be not good food, please take the calories away now! Just landed at the airport, checked in, and dashed off to the Shoji Theatre and had no clue what to dine on but this should not have been the choice. A kids meal of chicken strips, you cannot screw up, wish I had ordered cobbler and been done with it, the catfish dinner was so not local catfish, maybe not really even catfish. Staff tried hard, price was cheap and the place needs a face lift, I mean that in the kindest way, no food poisoning did I endure so it had to be worth 2 stars.

Oh no! I think Granny must have quit yesterday. The sign in front says the food is all made from scratch. This wasn't our experience. We were a party of four, ordered off the menu because the buffet looked like it had been sitting awhile. 8.99 for a small hamburger with a dry bun and frozen French fries. 7.99 got us a BLT with tasteless bacon and more frozen fries. We all got packets of Miracle Whip with our food. When my mom asked if she could have some mayo the waitress said, "this is all I got!" Giving this two stars because the coffee was good and strong, they played old fashioned hymns which we enjoyed and the restrooms are clean. Oh we'll, it filled a hole. Will go to Wendy's for a burger next time!

This wasn't one of the restaurants we planned on going to but when we were in town we made a few adjustments and ended up adding it to our agenda. It's a cute little place. We did take a look at the buffet and decided not to get it. The food looked really dried up like it had been sitting there for a while, which was confusing because it was early in the lunch hour. We just decided to order off the menu. My mom got BBQ pork sliders and dad and I had Velveeta burgers. Service was a bit slow considering there was only one other table of diners at that time...which did concern us. But when the food came we were happy. The sliders looked a bit dry, but came with extra BBQ sauce for dipping, and my mom liked them. Dad and I loved the burgers. I asked for extra pickles on my sandwich and they brought 2 pickle spears instead...but when I told them what I had wanted they did bring out some pickle slices for the burger. The waitress wasn't the friendliest of waitresses, but not bad. There was one of those guys at the entrance that bug you about tickets...and actually his sign was out dated...there were advertisments for shows I knew didn't even exist anymore. Overall it was a pretty good experience. I may go back...a little expensive for a burger, like around $9 each...but we had a coupon. If I go back I won't get the buffet unless it looks better than last time... It wasn't some place that I can't wait to go back to but it wasn't a place I'd stay way clear of...just kind of in between...

This was not a good choice of Restaurants. I ordered a turkey sandwich, it said like grandma used to make. It was 3 thin slices of lunch meat! The pinto beans with ham and cornbread had no ham in it, friends ordered the buffet which ran out of items. Very disappointed.

We stopped at Granny's on our way to Shepherd of the Hills and loved it. They had an excellent dinner buffet with ribs, catfish, chicken & dumplings. They also had blackberry and cherry cobbler. The service was good, food was good. We would go back again when we are in Branson.
