I've eaten at quite a few Mexican places in the Midwest, and this is the best one by far. Incredible prices, I always walk away full, great service, and so much interesting if a bit kitschy decor. Their chips and salsa, which are complimentary, are great. If you like queso dip, definitely get theirs. Their lunch specials are a super deal, and dinner is very reasonable too.

Our very, very favorite place to eat. Great food, excellent service, they really care about their customers based on how we were treated after a recent serious illness and returned, love the entire place and everybody in it. Been going there for 15 years, never had a bad meal or a bad memory.

My biggest complaint with this place is as followed. It's REALLY NOISY! Even when its not hot very busy. Sound just echoes throughout the store. But, with that said, by far best Mexican food in town. Love it! If it wasn't for the noise, it would be a perfect 5 for Bolivar standards.

Way over rated. Kind of a local "The Place to Go". It's ehh...food, service can be slow. Over priced a bit. Go to El Tres Amigos in Bolivar, MO for great food Mexican.

Good Americanized Mexican food. I'll give it 4 stars for the area, but in Texas, this would be a three star restaurant. Over all, the service is good, the food is good and its pretty cheap. I really like their tacos, but they are so greasy that you have to eat them pretty fast. There are a variety of other options, most of which are pretty good.

This gem is Topaz. This has to be the best authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. Wonderful staff, reasonable pricing, and the food was mouthwatering great. I'll definitely be going back when I travel to Bolivar again. Congrats El Rodeo.

The outside of this place should look like a trash can because the food is garbage.. I ate there today I had beef and chicken burritos and they were cold as ice and over priced not to mention the hair my girlfriend found in her salsa. Next time I want authentic Mexican food in Bolivar I'm taking my ass to taco bell at least the don't charge 8 bucks for cold burritos!!!!

Great Mexican food--most of them ordered by a number. This sit down restaurant has great Mexican ambiance. Very knowledgeable wait staff and fast service. The owner is always there and will probable clean your table after you leave. Tell him gracias when you leave since he doesn't speak English. Downside--they don't serve liquor. I asked them why no Marguaritas and they say they don't want the local Baptist college to blacklist them. If you go there, request a Marguarita, maybe they will change their tune. Oh funny story: Their entrance has candy machines. One had a sign on it. "BROKE NO WORK"

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
