Soon as I walked in I noticed this was a very clean place. This is a hamburger / shake place. I found the food to be pretty good. The chocolate shake did throw me off a bit. They serve custard here and well it didn't taste even close to any of the many custard places in Saint Louis. It quite literaly tasted like a Wendy's Frosty just not as thick. Nothing wrong with that just not the flavor I expected. I'd pick this place over any fast food that is near it.

Ginny's has one of the best double cheeseburgers in the business. The ice cream is good, but I say get a double cheeseburger combo with everything.

Super clean, pretty wide selection available, and just a very small, friendly feel. Great stuff.

My husband and I were in the Arnold area on a Sunday afternoon, and as usual, we found ourselves desirous of frozen treats. That shouldn't come as a shock to anyone who knows us. We saw Ginny's Kitchen and Custards on the map, and since we'd never been, we decided to give it a try. I'm always down for custard. #dfc Ginny's website indicates their custard includes chocolate, vanilla, twist, and something called flavor burst. I can make some guesses, but I'm not sure what "flavor burst" is. I didn't notice it on the menu when I was there. Otherwise, I would have asked. Ginny's has shakes, malts, and sundaes. They even have ice cream and snow cones. We were there for concretes, though. They had a fairly large selection of toppings. The husband went with a medium concrete made with peanut butter and peanut butter cups, and I had a medium turtle concrete with peanut butter. Unless someone made a mistake, the turtle concrete itself apparently includes caramel, pecans, and hard chocolate shell instead of the traditional hot fudge. (I'm cool with that.) The pecans were chopped and did not taste toasted. Both concretes were good. I ended up finishing my husband's concrete because he was too full. Wimp. Unfortunately, we both agreed they were just good--not great. They weren't mixed very well. I had a huge chunk of vanilla in the middle of mine, and most of the toppings were around the interior of the cup. Same for the hubs. We've definitely had better custard, but this hit the spot. The employees here were all very nice, and because we paid with cash, we received a discount of $0.25 on our $12+ order. I believe I later overheard an employee tell someone, "You get a 2% discount for paying with cash." That percent sounds about right for $0.25 on $12ish dollars. Still, $12 and some change was a high price to pay for these concretes. Of course, Ginny's has more than dessert. The "Kitchen" part of the name refers to their sandwiches, burgers, salad, and various fried goods. They must have had six different types of fries. It's probably not a place for you if you're counting calories. Or if you are a Coke person. Pepsi is served here. It's not a huge restaurant. You'll order outside at the window or inside the dining room at the counter. I didn't count the booths and tables, but I'd say there were 10-15 inside. They had two single-occupant restrooms; one was for men, and the other was for women. I think the ladies' room has seen better days. Ginny's seems to be a very popular place. Several motorcyclists came in for a bite to eat, and the place was full of good 'ol country folk. One person even called me ma'am. With the country music that was playing inside the small dining area, I could have sworn I was back in Texas. If I'm in the Barnhart area again someday, I wouldn't mind trying the food here. However, I probably wouldn't order custard again.

It is good cause it is close to home but, a little over priced for what you get. Just like everyone else has said concretes not mixed great and hamburgers filled with grease...

This is a super local joint. It felt like a western movie scene when I walked in and everybody stopped and looked at me! Lol! Then it went back to the hustle and bustle it had previously motioned. Looks like Ginny's hasn't had a review in a while. Well, looking at it now this custard diner joint isn't as clean as I feel it should be in the inside dining room area. All staff worked behind the counter it looks like. Whoa, hold on, wait a minute, we have a guy wiping down tables. Awesome! Be weary of many grand parents bring their grandkids here, because you'll be hearing a lot of screaming heads. Thankfully, they had an outdoor space to eat at right out front. I had ordered the double cheeseburger combo with fries and a large chocolate shake. Navigate thing about his kind of places r that the food is going to come out right off the grill and right out of the fryer. Some of the not so cool things though are when the person who's at the grill smashed your patties down two words barely stuck together taco meat like and all the juices are drenched out of it. So then the burger becomes dry and you must rely on a whole bunch of condiments like I did. The fries are hot and kind of shoe string like. The chocolate shake was good. Maybe my tongue wasn't a sing anything right today, but maybe it was lagging with chocolate flavor. The positive thing about the chocolate shake that I had though, was that it wasn't so stiff like spoon eating quality. It had a nice texture and drink ability to it. So that was nice. I think I would definitely come back and give it another shot. It wasn't that bad experience in the meal was of a decent value. Around 8 bucks. So, we'll see. It's less than a mile from my office and the convenience is great.

This is a combination Diner / Frozen Custard place with seating inside and out. Burgers are pretty good grill burgers and remind of Carl's Drive-In in Brentwood, MO. They have a Double Cheeseburger combo which comes with fries and a drink, but I learned quickly this is a large sandwich and ordered a single cheeseburger on my 2nd visit with fried mushrooms this time. This was pretty good. Cost maybe ~$5-6. Prices are very reasonable, and there is a lot to choose from on the menu. I think there were 5 or 6 different types of fries as well as burritos and chicken sandwiches and so many other things.

I enjoyed having a concrete, but it would have been better if the butterfinger bits were really mixed into the custard.

I first found this place when as a teenager i moved to Imperial. Some of the locals raved about it so i knew i had to check it out. First, the custard is very good. I am a great fan of their dipped cones. They do have a wide variety of different types of selections on what you can get from conceretes, to sundae's to just cones. You cannot go wrong with any of them. They do also have some rather good food. I like their hamburgers and fried mushrooms. Very nice, very nice indeed.
