Great food! Steaks are always cooked perfect! Bussers are the best in town.

We have a large party (7) and the hostess refuses to push two tables together and made us wait until the (in use) large table was free. We waited well over an hour to be seated. This was on a Sunday night around 6pm. We watched guests, who had arrived after us, eat and leave before we were even seated. Once we finally did get seated, service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. I think the wait, with the 2 little kids we had with us, was so long that it ruined the evening for us. We won't be returning.

Don't go there for Prime Rib Tuesday. It's over. The website is not well maintained My wife and I went in specifically to have the prime rib last Tuesday 6-2 at about 9PM. (Kitchen closes at 10PM We were told it was over for the summer. Several more people came in for it as well while we where there.I had just read about it in the website. I then asked if we could sit in the bar area off to the right where there are normal tables and a large TV to watch the Cardinal game. The hostess said let me check with the server. She came back and said though the server had a large table in that area now, she was tired and would rather not wait on us, but would if we HAD to sit there she would. No thanks! So then we moved to the bar that has two TV's facing you that are the size you buy the kids for their rooms. Maybe 19 inches? There was another larger TV you could see if your turned around but who wants to turn around at the bar and eat when there are so many places doing it right? SO then the female bartender asks what we wanted to drink and eat. I ordered their mushrooms and martini's and mentioned to my wife I think the mushrooms might be half price after 9PM. The bar tender, a very pregnant young lady in a men's dirty white(gray actually) T-shirt remarked NO they are NOT half price. I said i don't care we just want them. She then came back and said they came in at half price when she rang them in but that was a mistake and kept trying to hand me her phone with the website happy hours noted.I said it was not a big deal and i may be wrong but did not want to touch her dirty phone. She then went back and announced to everyone in earshot right behind the wall, out of sight but not out of earshot that there was a jerk trying to argue with her up here and to make things worse the food item "he" mentioned at half price actually rang up at half price. They all commiserated about "moron" customers and finally the manager came up and was tapping on the bar computer and had what i suspect was the owner or IT guy on the phone. It was really uncomfortable for us, all over about three bucks. I still tipped her 20% because i felt sorry for her. There was only one other person at the bar, a stupefied regular.I know why. I think i will take a vacation from my weekly visits here for a awhile. They take our business for granted. Big mistake

So, Tucker's Place is your typical steak house. It's good food and good people. Let me walk you through my experience: Walked in at around 5:45 on a Saturday night. Wait time was 40 minutes. The place was packed. We waited in the cocktail area and drank. The service was great. We were seated like literally within 40 minutes on the dot. Our server was very busy, but it wasn't an issue. We ordered appetizers and more drinks. The appetizers were exactly as to be expected. They did not exceed expectations, but they met them. So, basically how it works is you choose your meat. They have a few beef options, a chicken option, a couple pork options and a couple fish options. With your meat you are served a baked potato (or sautéed vegetables) and a salad. I had the filet mignon because it was the smallest piece of meat on the menu, 8 oz. I felt that the salad was subpar and lacked a lot of topping. It was mostly iceberg lettuce and bacon. The filet was delicious. Tucker's seems to have their own seasoning of the meat, which is sweet. It's very good. Everything was tasty. We were all so full though, I wish I could have tried their dessert!

First bite was hair;( Stopped in for lunch a couple weekends ago. I ordered the special of the day. It was a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It came with a beverage and a side. I had a diet coke and fries. My first bite was pulling a loooong light colored hair out of my mouth. At first I thought it was cheese but I quickly realized it was not. I had to cough out the food in a napkin. Sure enough it was a looooong hair in all it's glory. When I showed it to the server this is what she said:" Oh, that is not anyone's hair color working now, that must be from the prep girl who breaded the chicken". LIKE THAT MAKES IT OK She took away the sandwich without any discussion as to what I want to do?? She left me with the fries and eventually comes back with a new one. Now, I have no fries to go with the sandwich. I didn't care anymore anyway, my appetite was lost. My husband ordered some salad and offered me to dig in, but it was laden with Provel and given the choice I would eat the hair. However, I was kept busy by a terrorizing bee. Slapping and swatting, jumping up and down which was causing much amusement for the near by tables. Hair, bees, and Provel does not make a happy Tucker Place!

My date and I cancelled our reservations at a steakhouse last minute on Valentine's Day to go here. I've lived in the area my whole life and I seem to forget about this place. I wish I wouldn't. Excellent food and drink for your money. We were quoted 30-40 minutes for a wait so we grabbed drinks at the bar until we were seated. We had to stand, there were no chairs available. Cocktail waitress came up to us and served us. I enjoyed that, instead of trying to make our way through customers sitting at the bar. We started with the breaded mushrooms as an appetizer. Delicious! I ordered the tilapia with Tucker's spices. It was served with baked potato, salad, and I added shrimp to my entree for about $5. All was mouth watering even though I took most of it home. My date ordered the haddock. I had a bite of that - I wish I would have ordered that! All the food was great. But of all, I always love when I have great service. Our waitress was friendly and outgoing! We will hopefully be back sooner than later.

If you are a carnivore, you can't go wrong...Steaks are great, burgers are amazing...Great patio....sometimes long lines and wait times. It tends to get crowded, i.e. "packed", (crammed) in the waiting area in front of the bar, but it is all worth it. Despite the meat selections, my favorite is the fish...huge, an inch thick and light and crunchy breading.

One of the best steaks in town and very reasonably priced. I normally get the 8 ounce filet, baked potato and salad. The steak is always cooked perfect as well as the baked potato. You can't go wrong with any steak even their hamburger is awesome. The staff is always friendly and they do a great job. They do not take reservations so be prepared to wait about 45 minutes to get seated but it is worth the wait.

Really, really good filet. Service lacked personality but maybe that's not her fault. Fluffy baked potatoes. Could use a fresh coat of paint.

I once thought about becoming a vegetarian. Within seconds of that thought I punched myself in the face and ran to Tucker's for a steak. This place is a vegetarian vanquisher. If Gandhi walked in here he'd come away with a free t-shirt for eating an 80 ounce strip...if Tucker's had such a promotion..and if Gandhi had a time machine. For around $20 you get your choice of grilled succulence, a baked potato the size of a Nerf football, and a side salad with your choice of dressing. You're also given plenty of dinner rolls which always fit perfectly in the to-go box. I prefer turf over surf so I go with the 10oz sirloin or 16oz strip. More often than not I get the 16oz strip because 16 is greater than 10. I have never ordered the porterhouse. I'm just too lazy to work around the bone. An alluring quality of Tucker's is the atmosphere. There is a charming, ye olde country club feel to the place. However, there's no need to wear your finest blazer and slacks. I walk in wearing cut-off jorts and an American flag shirt and no one bats an eye. Except those taking fashion notes.

My friends and I went there for my birthday this past week. Overall, it was kind of an off putting experience. We ordered a variety of steaks for our meals. I ordered mine medium rare and got a medium steak. My friend ordered his medium and got rare. However, all the steaks were SO charred on the outside that you really couldn't taste anything other than that "burnt" flavor. It tasted like it was cooked on a grill that never gets cleaned, and that's something that I don't need to pay $20 for. On the other hand, the service was....overkill? We were sitting on the edge of the dining room, and the staff was standing right next to us the whole time staring at us. Now, I know what you are thinking...why complain about diligent service? This was more than diligent. I thought about just asking them to sit down with us, because they were hovering over us anyway and this might have been more comfortable. If the glass had an inch missing from the top, 3 people would come ask if we needed refills. They picked up our plates while we were still chewing. When we got up to leave, 2 people rushed over while we were still standing there and started cleaning the table. Keep in mind there was no wait, and the place wasn't crowded...so they didn't need the table. I ended up feeling rushed and like we have zero privacy. I wont be returning to Tuckers. There are much better places for the same price.

I think that my husband and I may start a religion, worshipping Tucker's Places across the St. Louis area. Their wings and steaks are always on point, as well as their customer service. Prices are amazing, don't forget Tuesday night they have this ridiculously huge steak, big enough to share for next to nothing.

So close to five stars. The value is amazing, the service is great, but the wait can be long and the A/C could be, uh, turned on. A 16oz. bacon-wrapped filet w/sides for $25? Heck, yeah! Decent quality, tasty house salad (get the house dressing), free bread (in case there's not enough food elsewhere), etc... it's just a nice place to eat out. Servers are friendly and helpful, while runners keep your drinks filled, too. The fish sandwich is probably a foot long (must be half the haddock in there). And worth it. Apparently there's a Friday lunch deal where you get this huge sammie and a drink for under $9. Wish I knew sooner... Best bet, go early and try to get a bigger table for elbow room. And then it's also less noisy and a bit cooler.

My husband and I tried Tucker's Place this week on a whim. We went on a Tuesday night and they were actually on a wait. Fifteen minutes for a table for two. Not an issue- if anything it instilled confidence that we were trying the right place. It's not easy to pack a restaurant on a Tuesday night in January! The decor is comfortable and a little old school. It's dark in there, and they had the T.V.'s going with hockey and basketball on. Not your typical steakhouse, and I appreciated that. It's steakhouse meets neighborhood bar. Our waitress' name was Jane, and she was great. She was clearly busy but incredibly friendly and helpful with her suggestions. As a note- her busboy was fantastic as well- they worked well together to make sure everyone had what they needed and drinks were always full. On to the food. I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwhich with fries, and my husband ordered a filet with a loaded baked potato. My sandwhich was good. Was it the best thing ever? No. But, it was good and filling and exactly what was promised. My husbands food was fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was a great cut of meat. You could literally cut it with a butter knife. His loaded baked potato was delicious too, filled with cheese and bacon. We had a great experience and loved the atmosphere. If you haven't been and you're in the mood for great steak at a good price you need to try Tucker's Place. I can see why so many people are regulars.

I hate to say it but their $20 filet is better than steaks that cost twice as much at some of the chain steak houses. The place is not fancy, but the food is great and the prices very reasonable.

Love, love, love Tucker's food, but the last time we were there the service was the pits! We went for one of their "specials" and I arrived first--I was told emphatically by the high school girl at the door that I couldn't be seated until everyone arrived! (Did they ever think that MAYBE I would order a drink and an appetizer for the table if I were seated during that time?) So I had to sit on their very uncomfortable bar stools and wait the 15 minutes until my friends arrived. It would have been a small irritation but things got worse! Once we were seated, it was obvious that the waitress was only interested in turning that table over as many times as possible and was going to rush us. We couldn't carry on a conversation because she hovered, and when I sat my salad plate to the side to eat the salad with my entree, a busboy grabbed it and took off, ignoring me when I asked him to STOP! Unbelievable! I realize that the "specials" may cause busy nights, but this bordered on rude! Tucker's was our "go to" place, but I haven't been back since this happened. All I will say is they need to remember that "customer service is #1"!

Tuckers is never bad, but it also has never made me think of them as a regular place for me to eat. I went here most recently for work, and it was free, so it is always better when it is free, but overall... It's just okay.

This place always leaves me shaking my head to why we have gone five times now. Two of those times were free thanks to my parents, but the other three is probably just wishing it would get better. Today at lunch they were half full which is good for out in West County. When we finished our meals...(Wife) Cheeseburger special and (me)the pork tenderloin sandwich, we again asked why would we come back? This visits problems: 1-The tenderloin was good tasting but was "floury". Every bite the breading broke down into a dust like feel in my mouth. I let my wife try it and also found it weird. 2-The fries on both of our plates were overdone and had ZERO salt. Of course they were dry by then so salting them did nothing. Ketchup time! 3- The waitress was obviously not "interested" in making anyone's visit enjoyable. I have nothing against older waitresses or waiters, but this lady doesn't even own a smile anymore! When I asked for pickles to put on my tenderloin...."well, I guess I could do that" EXCUSE ME FOR ASKING! 4- There is SOOOO little room for way to many of the seats. The seats are tight, dirty and need to be shipped back to the 70's!!!!! They brought in a group of six normal sized guys and two of them nearly had to climb into the chairs because the table next to them was so close. This has ALWAYS been the case! 5- If you dare order anything medium or above you will have a solid crust of carbon on it. Steaks and burgers. Their grill is way to hot. I ordered a medium ribeye a couple visits ago and my wife did a medium pork chop...both had a bitter burnt crust on them. Not sear marks folks, not a char...CHARCOAL! I managed to finish mine but my wife ate only 1/3 and gave up. 6- One of the hostesses (but not the one seating everyone) had on a real tight strapless top that obviously wasn't working as designed. Every time she went into the waitress station she had "adjustments" to do. Twice she reached down her top and grabbed her entire package to re-align. Kind of hilarious but extremely tacky! I am sure this fact may actually bring in a few more elderly male clientele but as far as I am concerned, not so classy! Especially since she immediately grabbed a plate and helped take it out to a customer. This place just feels tired, dark outdated and sort of like a country club from the 70's. I don't know about any of the bar drinks as all I ever get is soda or water, The food isn't terrible and the prices are decent so I guess there are worse places to eat, but there are also better places to eat. As of today, I doubt I will ever go back unless someone decides to treat us.

A St. Louis steak staple... Tucker's Place is an all around great restaurant plain and simple. Inside seating has a wonderful rustic steakhouse feel, with old time photos, brick walls, and a fireplace. Outdoor seating is quaint and low key with a privacy fence, multiple trees, and a small bar. The food at tuckers is the best bang for your buck in all of St. Louis. Salad, wings, steaks, and burgers are some of the best around! The steaks are the mainstay of Tucker's place and it is easy to see why. The NY Strip is a great cut of meat, that is so juicy, succulent, and rich in flavor due to their in house marinade. Even though it's not Citizen Kane's or Dominics, the steak truly is comparable with a favorable price. The house salad with their famous Lemon Pepper dressing is loaded with flavor and fresh, crisp vegetables. Truly a must have before ordering the NY strip or their delicious buffalo style wings... An all around fantastic restaurant and one of my favorites in St. Louis. Also, for the daters out there. Tucker's Place is a great joint to take your date to. Inexpensive, classy, low lighting, and delicious food makes this a perfect go to date establishment.

Best place for steak. We always have a good time, and the food is ALWAYS good at dinner time. Been a few times at lunch and the staff was very unprofessional yelling in the back kitchen and complaining about picking up our table, and the food is never consistent, however at night it's always great service and great food. Day time manager needs to get a handle on some of the employees.

Against my better judgement, my wife convinced me to try it again. Verdict is; decent food for the money, but be prepared for the "experienced crowd". Steak was flavorful and kids didn't complain (that's a win in my book).

Stopped in for a quick business lunch, we were promptly seated and shown the menus. The group went with sandwiches and burgers, our ordered seemed to take a little longer than I would had expected since we arrived before the lunch crowd. When our food did arrive I noticed that while I asked for my burger Medium Well it was cooked more along the lines of Medium, not a big deal. The food was average, nothing that really stood out or makes me want to come back for dinner anytime soon. One thing that really irritated me was the waitress, she seemed to be in a hurry to rush us out. I felt like I was a bit of a burden on her and the restaurant for even being there. Perhaps it was because they have limited seating, however we hardly waited around very long. In about the 5 minutes after we paid our checks to the time we left, we were interrupted at least 3 times, which felt like an attempt to push us out. Also I have to admit that the lighting in Tucker's Place is awful, the dining room can get loud with multiple diners so this is not the ideal place for a casual relaxing dinner/lunch.

My party and I wanted to try a steak house that we hadn't been to before and decided on Tucker's Place. I had heard great things and was excited to try it. Our waitress seemed like it was a bother to serve us and never once checked to see how we were after we ordered. The young men who filled our glasses did a great job and acted as though they were used to picking up her slack. We ate outside as it was nice out. We sat in plastic chairs and were a little packed in, but we didn't mind too much. The atmosphere wasn't great and the place gave off a bit of a "we think we're better than we are" vibe. It was as if an Applebee's decided it was run by Gordon Ramsey... I ordered the bone in ribeye that was on special, medium rare. The cook on it was OK but I really expected more. The seasoning was blah and I really wish I'd have just taken the cut of meat home and cooked it myself...The baked potato that came with my meal was about as big as a football. Seriously. It took up over half my plate and by the time I cut it open and buttered it I had a hard time getting to anything else on the plate. We left wishing we'd gone elsewhere... If you are looking for a great steak place keep looking. Their sandwich menu seemed pretty good and at reasonable prices, however. If I do come back it will be for lunch.

Our mom wanted a steak for her 89th birthday party, so we went to Tucker's based on friends' recommendations. We were so disappointed. First, we were kind of creeped out by the atmosphere--very dark and gloomy, even on a bright Saturday afternoon. Everything in there is brown, and it doesn't look clean. The service was good, but our food was bad. To describe four of the entrees: overcooked haddock, tough steak, dried-out chicken, and the oddest Philly cheesesteak sandwich ever seen (tough pieces of meat and a few onions and peppers coated in a white cheesy sauce). We won't be going back. Too bad for Mom--there aren't too many do-overs when you're 89.

We're always looking for new STL restaurants to try when we're in town visiting our son in college. Tucker's had good reviews and DID NOT disappoint! It was a Saturday night- we called for reservations but were told they seat on a first come first serve basis which was good for us this evening because the Cardinals (Royals fan here!) were in town so there was no wait at 7:30- be alerted though, the waiter said there may be an hour to an hour and a half wait on weekends. It's not fancy by any means but don't let that scare you away- the menu has great appetizers- we tried the wings- we had bone in ribeyes (to die for!), grilled shrimp and chicken, everyone was MORE than pleased with the food. Service was EXEMPLARY as well- our server and supporting waitstaff was very attentive. Our glasses were never empty. The coup de grace- VALUE- we fed a family of 4 (3men!) for under $100!!! Tucker's is a MUST VISIT! I know we'll be back!

I went here on my very first date with my boyfriend and loved it. The food was delish and prices were more than bearable. Although it was a little crowded and loud it still felt intimate and cozy. Our waitress was nice and did not hover nor neglect us. Fun place, great casual atmosphere.

Coming back to re-review...now that we've moved out to the County, we've had an opportunity to try some new restaurants and also to revisit a few. Tucker's is less than 5 minutes away, so this was one of the revisits. This place is never terrible, so it's becoming a fail-safe plan whenever we can't think of what we want to eat OR we want steak and don't feel like driving very far. Although my 1st experience here was ehh, the last few times have been much better. It is still always busy and they DO NOT take phone orders for carryout...BOO! However, we will still venture out since it's convenient if we want a huge burger or a steak. Our newest discovery is the fried shrimp platter - the shrimp are good-sized and fried perfectly. I've also discovered the pork chop, which is delicious when not overdone.

This is the second time I've eaten at Tuckers and it was just as bad as the first. It's a very loud and dark atmosphere. The steaks weren't cooked right, everything took forever to come out and the pizza tasted like crackers with melted cheese on top.

If you are in the mood for a great steak but don't feel like dropping $60.00 per plate plus wine and the high end steak houses, then Tucker's is your spot. The Strip steak is fantastic! It's large, thick and always cooked to perfection. The often overlooked specialty is their baked potato. They are always large and works like a bread bowl for your cheese, bacon bits, and tons of butter. I have heard that they cook them for 24 hours, but honestly I don't know if that is true. But it wouldn't surprise me because of how they just fall apart on the inside when your fork hits it. Normally when I eat there it is at lunch. They have a dining area, bar area and outdoor seating. Although most people tend to head outdoors when the weather is good, another very nice factor is the bartender Mel. She is amazing at how fast she can remember exactly what you drink, how you like your steak cooked, the additions and subtractions from your salad and the additions to the potato. I think it took her two visits. She also always keeps my glass full and for me, along with a good personality, is very important.

I've been here a couple of times and it never comes to mind when I want a good meal. It just so happened Tucker's was in the right place at the right time for us to satisfy our appetite. The place was packed on Friday night, so we sat at the bar top tables to have a drink and wait for our table. We decided to just sit in that area instead of waiting. I don't really care for stools without a back, but I was hungry. We had their mushrooms for an appetizer and they were good, not great. I'm sure they were frozen, shipped in and not home made. The ranch dressing it came with was awesome though. We shared the 16oz strip steak and marinated shrimp. The salads were good, lots of bacon and other toppings and their house dressing was very tasty. The steak came out perfect medium and the shrimp had a lot of flavor. The service was very good, considering this girl had about seven demanding tables. I'm sure this section is the top spot for servers to make a load of money on a weekend. It really hit the spot that night. I don't eat a lot of steak, but I left very full and very happy with my meal.

The wife and I ate at Tuckers Place on our stay near St. Louis this evening. I had the 20 oz Porterhouse rare and the wife had the 8 oz Filet medium. Both of us had the baked potato with butter and sour cream and the salad with blue cheese dressing. How did the meal go? Well, both steaks were done to our request and the wife pointed out that her Filet was as good as those at Ruth Chris's and about half the price. The Porterhouse was a true 20 oz being a good 1" thickness, and as tender as any I have experienced (and that's a bunch). The potatoes were perfectly prepared and a real treat. The salads were fresh and the dressing very good. In other words, the food is top notch! How about the service? Our waitress and her male helper were very friendly and did a great job of catering to our needs. The facility? Quaint, and customer friendly. We had a very short wait, and we never felt hurried even though there were several people waiting for tables when we left. So, would we go back? Darn right we would! Oh did I mention we got this great meal for under $50? I would rate my Ruth Chris's experiences a 5, so how can I rate Tucker's Place any less. Man am I full.

Always get a steak if you want consistency. I ordered the chicken breast twice in one week and was pleased the first and very disappointed the next. Their daily specials are great and I want to come back for happy hour to try the pizza because it looks tasty. The entrees come with an amazing, large baked potato and a really cold crisp salad that is perfect. We also always order the fried zucchini which we've been doing for years. If you want a moderately priced steak skip those chain restaurants and hit up Tucker's Place but leave the small kids at home. They are not a family friendly spot. No high chairs...no booster seats. When I go its either lunch, date night, or happy hour...my 3 year old can't roll.

Went . . . closer to home . . . for dinner, after having been to the Soulard location numerous times for lunch and enjoyed it thoroughly. Terribly disappointing related to service (two women, what, you think we won't tip! Or drink enough!) Well, actually, we didn't drink much. Was that part of it?! Very small table. Slow service, grudging service. Food was not remarkable. Prices were way above what's going on at the Soulard location. What, you think we've got money trees growing out here?!

This is one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in STL. It is impossible to get bad food and poor service here. It's a great place for an outdoor lunch in the summer, and it's fun to have a quick dinner at the bar or sit in the dining room and visit with friends. No matter which, you are always treated to friendly, quick and efficient service by wait staff who have worked here for a long time. The steaks are excellent, but my favorite is their Lemon Pepper Chicken salad. Add their to-die-for yeasty rolls, and it's a perfect meal. (FYI: if you have a choice, go here, not to their S County location.)

My whole family came here for an after funeral luncheon. Most of us ordered the daily special which was the fish sandwich- HOLY COW it is freakin H U G E. I only ate 1/3 of it. It was ok, but needs more seasoning in the batter Chicken wings are fab, tangy with just right amount of heat.

I came here about a month ago for a work-related meeting. When the boss offers to take you to lunch, you never refuse! Unfortunately, Tucker's just didn't do it for me. The menu is pretty expansive, with lots to choose from. There are some pretty good lunch specials, and everything was really reasonably priced. I went with the fish sandwich and a side salad. The fish sandwich was decent, but it was definitely lacking something; I'm not sure what. The whole thing was pretty dry and not exciting at all. The salad wasn't much better. It was your typical iceberg lettuce creation. The only saving grace was the house dressing, which was sweet and quite tasty. Service was friendly and efficient, so no complaints there. I just can't see myself ever coming back here.

Chose Tuckers as a place to meet up with a friend for convenience and I'd say they barely make the 4 star mark but they do get it, mostly for the service. I've been a couple of times and have thought the food was okay, and this was about the same. The house salad is just okay, which came with my 10oz top sirloin, which was actually very good and some potato skins which was very good. The service was excellent this night and as the waitress let us know happy hour for apps was almost over, we might want to order quickly (half price, a good deal), I did opt for the skins. Decent food, excellent service, it's a 3 - 4 star place. They do always seem to be busy.

My parents and I had dinner here while moving me back from the west coast to the east coast. They use their secret Tucker Sauce on almost all of their meats which is fabulous. You can also purchase a bottle which we did. I had salmon which was simple yet cooked perfect. My dad couldn't get over his awesome thick cut porkchop. He cleared his plate. The only downfall is the dining area is a bit snug but cozy.

Not a family restaurant - I have always loved Tucker's, but haven't been since I had a baby last year. I walked in carrying said baby & asked for seating for 5 adults & 2 high chairs. The hostess responded, and I quote, "We don't have booster seats or high chairs. Will that be a problem?" No, let me just go put this (the child) back in the car. It's one (pretty huge) thing to not have high chairs, but then another to ask if that's a problem when you're standing there with the kid. Boo, Tucker's! I'm so disappointed!

Recently went here and had a fillet Mignon. It was decent, not great, and $20, so is about what I expected. Also had a salad with the house dressing and it was very sweet. It took a second to get used to and I liked it after about the third bite. Bread was served with our meal, which neither of us tried, so I cannot report on it. We both had baked potatoes and they were good enough and came with the toppings that each of us requested. We went on a Saturday night and had about a 15 minute wait, so headed to the bar. The bartender took an extraordinary long time to get our drink order. We actually had to ask her if we could order something. It is hard to believe that she did not notice 2 new drinkless people sitting at her bar when there were still empty chairs. Our server seemed to be rushing us. Actually tried to take my plate when I had only eaten half of my food. I guess if you are not shoveling in your food, she assumes you are finished. I was actually in a nice conversation with my guy, so just took a little longer to eat. Oh well, it wasn't the worst experience I've ever had, but I'm not thinking about returning any time soon either.

Cheap, great specials and the steaks are pretty good (especially for the price). I come here often after movies @ Des Peres. And the but... -Last time I was here there was a line at the host station for (seriously) 10 min. before someone asked the bartender who sent over a hostess who didn't a. welcome us, b. apologize for the wait or c. smile. I understand we all have bad days, but as the "host" you represent the restaurant (and get paid for it), not yourself. Then, the server didn't bring my food out! WTF? It was a party of two...how do you not realize that one customer has a big plate in front of them and the other doesn't? Then he wouldn't even stop when we tried to get his attention. Didn't even look at us. When we finally had someone (not our server) ask how we were doing we mentioned it and he grabbed the server who's apology was, "I'm sorry, It started raining and I got busy." There were 4 tables...and everyone had food...everyone except me :( I really do like you, Tuckers, it's true. But please step up with the customer service.

Tucker's is a family favorite. I've been here twice in the last week since coming into town. The food is above average bar/restaurant fare with many dishes home made, such as the salad dressings. The steaks are wonderful for the price point of the restaurant. Meaning, don't expect a $45 steak in a $20 restaurant. What you do get is a great steak, salad and potato. We have never been disappointed with any of the menu choices. Tuckers is a great value. If you want more ambiance for a family celebration you might want to go elsewhere - but for a weeknight dinner, this should be the place!

Great food, good service, convenient location and a nice atmosphere. Everything I have had on the menu is fantastic; however, if you want the best thing on the menu, have the pork chop. nuff said....

Haven't been here since early 2000 so I decided to stop in for a late anniversary dinner, Adam was our server & took good care of us!! I had the bone in Ribeye that was DELISH, house salad was a little bland(no french dressing, cheese or crutons)but the house dressing was OK but the baked potato was on POINT. Wanted to sit on patio but it was a little chilly out so we sat in the DIM dining area...all was well

Came here the other day with 2 other buddies. We ordered the wings appetizer and the stuff jalepenos, 20 oz porterhouse and 16 oz ribeye special. Firstly: this place is CHEAP! a 20 oz porterhouse or 16 oz ribeye for 20 dollars each? Thats a bargain for a steakhouse (it comes with a salad, baked potato or fries, and dinner rolls) Appetizers: Eh, nothing to special, good tasting wings and fried, cheese filled jalepenos. Can't go wrong. Steaks: Got to try both of em, the steak's themselves had very limited seasoning, not too strong in taste. But it was quite good, but not the greatest. Gotta recommend this place, based on the price for the amount of food you get, but if you are going for a high quality extremely delicious steak house, gonna have to direct you elsewhere.

I went on Thursday 5/1/14. Mrs. K and I ordered the same thing tonight the special filet mignon. Every bite was a bite of perfection. After every bite I got a little sad as I knew there would be less bites remaining. Thinking back over the years I have come here I don't think I had a meal that was less than great. I have always had good service from the my servers and the wait staff. They manage to always keep the drink full and the meal moving.

In years past, this was a strong four star establishment...maybe even five. We used to go here all of the time. Yet something in the air has changed during the past year, it seems. The patio is still charming, and the "old pub style" dining room is still cozy and pleasant if a bit cramped. In the winter, the fireplace is a nice touch. Most of the food is still good...but somehow not quite as good. On our most recent trip, our server was positively obnoxious, and I'm fairly certain people across the street could catch every word she was saying. After I ordered fried zucchini and requested one extra side of ranch, she seemed to feel it necessary to announce to the entire world that "I'M GOING TO HAVE TO CHARGE YOU EXTRA!!!" Half the room was looking, and at that point I just wanted to go...so I did, fairly quickly. I'm not sure exactly when I'll be back. This is still a pretty good restaurant, but there's simply a vibe here these days that I don't care for. I hope things will improve. And for the record, the fried zucchini arrived a bit limp, and after I took most of it home (in order to escape) I threw it away, so I didn't NEED her extra ranch sauce anyhow.

Price and consistency is always good and for the price you get a steak that is on par with some of the more expensive restaurants in town. One thing is appetizer is not as good as the main dish but main dish makes it a 4 star in my opinion.

Tucker's is in a prime location at the junction of 141 and Manchester - it's not particularly hard to find. From the laminated menu, wooden tables, and florescent lighting in the windows, the overall feel is that of a pub-turned-restaurant. That being said, Tucker's does have some of the better steaks for the price paid. Is it 5-star quality food? Well, no...but you probably won't leave disappointed with your meal unless you are incredibly unrealistic about what to expect for this style of venue. Overall - For the price you are paying, it's a good cut of meat and good overall experience. I've made multiple trips and will continue to be a patron.

After all of the hyped up reviews by some in-laws, I found this place to be just 'okay'. The steaks were cooked to the way we ordered, but the marinade or sauce they use take away from the steaks themselves to the point you no longer can tell you're eating a steak. Hey, if you like a steak that has been drained of all natural taste and can settle for marinade, just do it at home and let is soak in Dale's sauce for a few hours before you cook them. You will probably get the same result. Everything else was pretty basic. Nothing stuck out and showed me this was a great selection.

We enjoyed dinner again, our 4th time. The best steak value around. You may find one as good, but can't beat Tucker's prices. My fiancé and I shared a 16 ounce ribeye, fantastic. The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars, is the waiting time was a bit long . Almost any good restaurant (in West County) has a long wait on a Friday night. We will be back, for sure.

I am updating my review because this is the second time I've been here in the past 90 days. Both times the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Both times were Sunday evening on the patio. The three of us had filet mignon and baked potato it was exceptional!

Took my dad here today's r Father's Day we both had the filet mignon wrapped in bacon. The house salad was good but my steak lacked flavor . I tasted no seasonings at all on my steak and my bacon was burnt! The baked potato texture wasn't smooth it tasted flash cooked. Service there was so so .

I was in suburban St. Louis tonight for a work meeting, and my client wanted to take me to Tucker's Place. I had in mind one of the city's famous Italian restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised and delighted after my meal here. I live in NYC, and I could not believe that I could get a 1 lb NY Strip steak for $19.99 including sides. I still was skeptical of the quality. Then my steak arrived, and it was served perfectly and was one of the best steaks I've had at any restaurant. My colleague ordered a steak that was over done, and our server caught it and returned it to the kitchen before she even brought it to the table. Speaking of the server, she was spunky and fun, and really outstanding. The service was efficient and quick given our group size as well. The mixed vegetable side was sauteed and spiced well. Overall, I could not have been happier with my experience here.

The steaks are ok if you don't have kids. They don't have kids drinks cups, kids chairs, or a kids menus. Our server was a complete bitch because she had to take care of a 15 person table with kids. If you don't want kids put it on the sign out front.

OK food but NOT family friendly! I have been to Tucker's several times but I had to rate it at a ONE star due to one reason... they are NOT family friendly! My extended family of ten went to Tuckers in West County for my twin nieces 4 year old birthday to celebrate. Upon arriving, we asked for a high chair for my almost one year old nephew. Their response, "Sorry, no high chairs or booster seats". Then, the hostess asked if someone had in their car. Ummm... hello?!?! We don't come to a "family restaurant" and expect to pack a high chair in our car! Now that I'm reading the other reviews on here, I'm realizing that other families have been through a similar situations. They realize that they don't have the basics but don't care. They don't have high chairs, booster seats, or a kids menu. We walked out of the restaurant before sitting down and they didn't even seem to care. Let's just say that we won't be going back. To ask someone to hold their child the entire meal is ridiculous. I have been to Tucker's several times and their food was good but there are many other businesses that have better food that we will be visiting, sorry to say! P.s. It appear the other Tuckers does have accommodations for children. It might just be this location.

Fantastic food, great service and happy atmosphere. Do not get tied up with the looks or the location, kind of hidden off of manchester, but once you go, you will definitely return. I would recommend the wings, any steak, and their house salad is to die for. Enjoy

Went on a Friday night with my wife. Wait for the patio was 45 mins, but inside was only 10. We sat inside and were attended to quickly. Food was good, somewhat limited menu but what we had was great. Service was great. Ambiance was good, we may have been the only people under 45 eating inside but on a night without our kids it was nice not to hear anyone else's kids.

Wow! A huge, very good filet mignon for $24! The baked potatoes were huge too. A nice salad and a glass of wine and solid service - what more is there? Also, the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. We sat near the fireplace. We were considering one of the upscale places in the area but were very glad we chose Tucker's. I wish we lived in the area so we could return often. How about Tucker's Denver?

Wonderful steak and great, large baked potatoes. Their house salad was also pretty good, but much sweeter than I expected. I've only been there a few times, but I would go back.

The 16 ounce Filet special is the best! My wife n I always split this and then get a side salad with a baked potato. The salads are very fresh and the dressings are tasty. The lemon pepper house dressing is very good. The place has packed people in for years for the consistency and value. I will always go to Tuckers as long as I live in the Lou.

Used to be one of my wifes favorite places to eat but we haven't been back for 3 years since we couldn't get a highchair for our 2 year old. Kids don't belong in some fancy restaurants but Tuckers is not that kind of place. They're just not kid friendly for no apparent reason.

The family and friends went here to celebrate a birthday. Husband and friend had filets, both ordered medium rare. Friend was quite happy with hers; husband, no as much. Friend's was a lovely pink. Husband's was much darker-- not quite well-done but well on its way. The middle was pinker but not what he expected. He reports that it was still okay, just cooked unevenly. He said he would try ordering it again given that friend's filet was cooked right. I had char-grilled shrimp and was quite pleased. 12 lovely shrimp split over three wooded skewers, served with a large baked potato, salad and dinner rolls. Although the shrimp were lukewarm when I received them, I recognize it's hard to keep them "hot" for long. The shrimp were served with a lemon wedge and cocktail sauce. A squirt of lemon juice is all they needed. Quite delicious! A children's menu is not available, but the three kids in the group had no problem selecting from the "grown-ups'" menu. One had a 10" cheese "St. Louis" thin pizza, one had chicken tenders from the sandwich menu and the other had a grilled chicken sandwich and were all very happy. The house salad dressing-- Tucker's lemon pepper-- is very good. Salads are a bit small, but in terms of the meal, the right size for packing everything away. The restaurant is dark and feels quaint, and there are several dining rooms. Tables are packed in tightly, which made it difficult to move around the dining room for a trip to the restroom. There are lots of servers and glasses were not left less than 3/4 full at any time before being topped off by one server who was apparently assigned to drinks. Tucker's does not take reservations, and we arrived at 5 pm on a Saturday and a line had already begun to form at the hostess station. When we left about 90 min later, the bar area was packed with guests waiting for tables. Patio seating is available in a fenced off courtyard. Family will go back.

Go there for lunch as the burgers are great. For dinner, the steak is good, but the pork chop is UNREAL. HUGE! Pizza is ok, and the chef salad is a meal by itself.

best beer-battered oninon rings - and check out their home-made smokey cream of chicken soup with wild rice - awesome! i really like their house salad - lettuce, boiled egg slices, reg onions, black olives, real crumbled bacon with a great-tasting house dressing - lemon-pepper, slightly sweetened. daily specials available - this is one of my favorite lunch spots. i tend to eat light - but the big burgers, huge baked potatoes, and other plentiful platters i see go by and i just know a hearty appetite would be happy here! this west-county pub/restaurant is a spin-off of Tucker's Place in Soulard (you'll see mardi gras/soulard posters on the walls). tucker's is a comfy, down-home place just off the beaten path of manchester rd. right before 141. decked out with dim lighting, a roomy bar, outside patio eating in clement weather - and the inside dining is divided up into smaller areas for less noise and cozier dining experiences. the serving staff is friendly and helpful. i've not done dinner there - they do have steaks.

The go to place in STL when you want a steak, but don't want to go to a formal dining establishment. They don't take reservations, which can be a little irritating, however the food makes up for it. The steaks and salmon are excellent. The prime rib is in the top five I've had in STL.

  • Kelly J.

They don't have anything for children. They are not family friendly and are rude if you bring your family in for dinner. For the price there are much better places to go for steak. They have a bar that was full of old grumpy men.

I have always loved Tucker's, actually worked at the south county location for a while. I had lunch here with my mom yesterday and as always, the food was excellent. I LOVE their house dressing! My steak was cooked perfectly. However... The hostess that sat us was incredibly rude. From the first word out of her mouth... I felt like I was inconveniencing her. We wanted to sit outside, her response was "I guess but, you're going to have to wait until a table opens up." (We passed the patio on the way in and there were several open tables) Other than that weird experience, Tucker's is legit.

  • Frank G.

Over priced, overrated, and under flavored. The staff acts like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. The last two visits were mediocre at best. Chain steak houses are better bet and I have never said that before.

  • Lisa H.

Tucker's is our go to for steak, very reasonably priced and better then those places that charge $50+ for filet. Waitstaff is excellent, for this I give them 4+ stars. I give them a lower rating due to the hostess staff, every hostess we have Encountered here are so rude with no personally and treat you like they are doing you a favor. Tucker's STOP hiring hateful stuck up high school girls!!

  • Shannon W.

Oh I hope they straighten out whatever is happening here. This WAS our regular place, but I'm having mixed thoughts. The last 2 times, steak not cooked right... ouch!! This is a steakhouse, nothing else matters if this is not mastered! Please work with the new steak chef, the mistakes are showing! We mentioned this both times, we want to help and want to support local business. We're taking a break from Tuckers, we'll be back some other time.... good luck! Oh! And prices went up.... bummer.

  • Nolan L.

Worst steakhouse ever. Sauce is disgusting, they cannot seem to cook a medium rare steak and the service is absolutely despicable... The bust boy had more etiquette and manors than anyone in the staff, including the manager, who is an argumentative, idiotic ass. Go to J. Gilberts or even Texas Roadhouse. Never again.

  • Jeff S.

I enjoyed our visit to Tucker's Place. This was our second attempt to go. The first time the wait times were pretty long, so we tried to go earlier and succeeded. The steaks are good and reasonably priced. I sense they are trying to stay in the family restaurant category to compete with the nearby Uncle Bills rather than trying to be a pure steakhouse. The atmosphere was a bit tired and dated and frankly could be a little cleaner. The steak was prepared correctly, but didn't have a lot of flavor. I didn't get the sense they used much if any seasoning. Overall, good experience, good service, value priced.

Ate at Tucker's last night with a party of 7...we had a great time! Arrived during a very busy time (during the AFC playoffs) and the hostess was great. She managed to seat us 15 minutes earlier than she had projected. Our server was excellent throughout the very busy night. We tried the salads, burgers, pizza, tilapia, salmon, filet, and shrimp. By far, the kids enjoyed the salad the most. We heard they were fresh and delicious...they didn't disappoint. They barely had room for the burgers and pizza, but they all agreed that they were great. The adults all enjoyed the fish dishes...the filet mignon was met with a measure of dis praise...some thought it was a bit chewy (rather than melt in your mouth). Overall...great time had by all.

It's a decent steakhouse. Yes you'll find better at a legit $100 per steak steakhouse, but you'll get a solid steak for a quarter of the price. Service is great as well. Great place to indulge in a solid 1 pound steak and not worry about cost.

I've heard all the good things about Tucker's Place and how great their steak is so when I finally got around to going there, I had the steak and it wasn't bad. I had the 20 oz porterhouse with "the works" baked potato and the dinner salad that came with it. The steak was cooked according to specifications but it could have been a little bit more flavorful. As far as the service went, the waitress wasn't as friendly but she brought the food and drinks on a timely manner.

For a place known for its steaks, maybe the worst NY Strip I've ever had at a restaurant. Boasting on the menu that it was a "full pound" at least 6 oz of it was gristle or fat. Ordered medium rare, it was cooked properly with a nice sear and looked great on the plate but had no seasoning on it at all. A little salt would have gone a long way. Unfortunately that wasn't the worst part of my experience. I was part of a group of 6 from my office and we had made reservations several days before hand. We were seated at a round table in the back, under one of their air conditioning vents that dripped on me the entire dinner. When brought to the waitresses attention, her response was that the vents tend to do that on hot days and offered me one cocktail napkin to catch the drippings. My co-workers and I tried to uncomfortably squeeze around and make room, but I was still constantly being dripped on. I spent the whole dinner either being dripped on or trying to situate my plate and beer so as not to get dripped in, which was a fleeting effort. If I hadn't been there with a group of co-workers and not wanted to be perceived as a jerk for making a scene, I would have made a bigger deal about this. Honestly, I shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. I really question how management can expect someone to sit in one of those seats. If it is a hot day, then how about you make that table a 5 top instead of 6? Not only was it uncomfortable to sit there with a constant drip every minute or so, but it cannot be up to health code to have 'who knows what' dripping on the table from the ceiling. Between the disappointing food and the the terrible experience, we won't be having anymore after work dinners there.

We got here and had about a 20 minute wait that was well worth it. Had the best steak salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. Service was friendly and I was never waiting long for a refill on my drink. Coming back to try a steak with all the trimmings next time. There will definitely be a next time.

The filet is fantastic! Very juicy and tender and actually had some flavor! MUCH better than the filet we had there 2 weeks ago. The strip steak was ok. Not much flavor and had a grisly vein running thru the middle of it. It was tough and had to chew forever. Service was decent, the waitress was friendly but not very attentive. The decor needs a good scrubbing, does that mean so does the kitchen?

The food is excellent and the service was quite good as well. My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner. Both of us ordered the bone-in ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. The only change I would recommend is an update of the decor. Will definitely come back when in the area.

  • Jason J.

Absolutely the low quality steak. I ordered the media well steak. They burned it and the flavor was none. I am sorry that I have to give a two stars rating. They don't have high chair or kids cup for kids which I don't understand at all. Will never be back.

Great steaks! The three adults ordered the 10oz strip steak medium rare - awesomeness! The two kids each had an order of toasted ravs and shared an order of fries - thumbs up from the kids as well! (There is NO kid menu!, but the toasted ravs or chicken strips from the app menu works well). Good draft beer selection and mixed drinks are good too (did not look at the wine menu). Service this afternoon was great.

Went to lunch here with some folks from the office & we were all pretty pleased. Their lunch specials are really terrific - you can get their sandwich of the day, a domestic draft beer & a side for $8.45. My lunch companions enjoyed their chicken club and cajun chicken sandwiches, but mentioned that their fries were lacking crispness. I had the steak salad with the house dressing (a lemon pepper concoction) & it was huge. They basically served an entire cow on a large bed of lettuce, egg, cheese & bacon. The steak was really flavorful, tender & cooked properly. For $7.95, I thought it was an excellent value. The service was a bit slow, but that's only because they were packed full of what I believe to be every older gentleman in West County (older ladies, take note - Thursday lunch). The decor is pretty strange - some mismatched wallpaper & odd ceiling trim, but I love the old timey wall hangings & rich wood paneling. It has a country club feel. I'll be back, for sure.

My wife, daughters and I stopped here unplanned on a recent Saturday night. I've always heard great things about Tuckers but the visit took 45 minutes to be seated outside with a patio that wasn't packed at all and the inside had few people for being a saturday. We waited 15 minutes for drinks an the waitress left with short answers. We left after waiting another 15 to take our orders I gave a couple of stars for food potential ad the atmosphere. Other than that I can't have a recommendation when you can't be served.

We went very early on a Saturday and the place was very busy. We were seated within 10 minutes. The waiter came out and did not ask us for drinks or run down the specials, he just went right into do you have any questions or are you ready to order. we had barely been there long enough to open the menus. I guess we didn't want the special or appetizers. I did ask and he ran down the specials. My wife got a ribeye medium rare and I got the filet medium. It took about a half hour to get our food. In the meantime, we watched the manger go to several table and have to apologize for the food and/or the long wait to get the food. We sat near the entrance to the kitchen where we could unfortunately watch and hear the wait staff complain about the hostess, curse, and a few "jesus Christ's" while they complained about different aspects of how the night was going. We finally got our food and my wife cut in to her steak. It was extremely rare, and cold/blue in the middle. The steak did not even have a sear on it. My steak was very rare as well for a medium. My steak was also described as bacon wrapped, however, it did NOT come with any bacon. We sent my wife steak back, and it came back tasting burnt and now was more of a medium well. Plus they slathered it again with their seasoning sauce and that all it really tasted like. We never got any more drinks as the waiter rarely came by to ask, give us more bread, or inquire about desert. Have had better experiences there before, but don't see the reason to go back for this type of food and service again.

Thought this was suppose to be a good steak house. The staff was excellent. But I wouldn't go there for the steak. My 20 oz Porter House was about 60% edible. It wasn't cooked to order, and I had to get a sharper steak knife just to cut through some of the meat. I would not recommend this place, nor will I stop back by. I'm also of the opinion that a "good" steak doesn't need steak sauce. This needed steak sauce... The house dressing was delicious, and the baked potato was excellent. The cheese cake was just meh.

After having a good experience at the South County location, we were near the West County location and thought we'd try it out. While the food is the same, its like night and day in a way. The hostess wasn't very friendly, seemed more worried about the way she was dressed and I tried 3 times to get her attention until she realized we were there and seated us. Yes it was a Friday night, yes the patio was full but you still need to acknowledge people that arrive and inside still had plenty of seating. The rest of the staff was friendly and nice. The menu is the same as the other location with a few add-ons depending on what you order. The dining room is bigger and you don't feel as cramped.

I dined here last night with my husband, his brother, and their parents. We arrived just before 7, and for a Wednesday evening that had been speckled with some heavy downpours, this place was packed. We had about a half-hour wait for a table. The family wasn't too happy about that, but I didn't mind because 7 is a bit too early for me to eat dinner anyway. :) Once we got to our table, the service was very good. Our drink and food orders were taken quickly. A guy kept coming around to make sure we had plenty to drink. I appreciate that at restaurant because I drink a lot of water with my meals. The menu isn't very large here, but you'll have plenty to choose from if you lead a primarily carnivorous lifestyle. My husband had a burger and fries. Everyone else ordered entrees, which come with a roll, a house salad, and a baked potato. If you don't want the regular baked potato, you don't have many other options for your side. I assume you can substitute fries for free, but you'll have to pay extra to substitute vegetables or a loaded baked potato. Everyone seemed pleased with how their food had been cooked. For those who had ordered entrees, rolls and small house salads came out first. The rolls weren't very warm, but they were good. They weren't like King's Hawaiian rolls, but they were ever-so-slightly sweet. The house salad consisted of lettuce, a ring of raw onion, a cherry tomato, and a bit of egg. It was served with two packs of Keebler Club crackers. Man, I love those things. It pained me to see that no one else was eating them. I wanted to gather all of them up and adopt them. ;) They apparently have a popular lemon pepper salad dressing, but I had ranch. I ordered the 8-oz chicken, which was herb-marinated and topped with two grilled pineapple rings. The chicken was quite good and was some of the best chicken I've had in a while. I substituted a loaded baked potato (called "The Works" potato) but asked for no chives. If you're curious, the regular baked potato comes with butter and sour cream, while "The Works" comes with butter, sour cream, bacon, cheese, and chives. The bacon and cheese were served on my potato, while the butter and sour cream were served on the side. The potato was nicely sized, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I cannot recall the last time I had a loaded potato. I had forgotten how much I love them. I wasn't paying, but I found everything here to be reasonably priced. I believe my chicken, upgraded potato, small house salad, and roll came out to be around $13 before tax. I only have a couple of minor complaints. First, the restaurant is really dark with an old-fashioned interior. I wish I could have gotten some good photos of my food. It's sort of a bar-steakhouse combo, so I get that the low lighting and dated look might just be part of the atmosphere. However, I really enjoy being able to see my food while I'm eating. It's just a personal preference of mine. I'd never do well at one of those restaurants where you eat while blindfolded. Yikes. Second, a ceiling vent near our table was dripping. When the air was blowing, my husband and I occasionally got hit with a drop of water. This wasn't a huge deal. The Industrial Engineer in me wanted to tell the waitress so that the restaurant could fix the problem before it became serious, but others at my table seemed to think that was ridiculous and asked me not to say anything. So, Tucker's Place, if you ever read this, one of your vents is dripping. Anyway, I certainly do not want to end this on a negative note. Everything else about my visit was fantastic: great service, great food, and great value. I'll definitely head back the next time I'm in the mood for meat 'n taters. However, my chicken was so good that I'd also be interested in having one of their salads.

The go to place in STL when you want a steak, but don't want to go to a formal dining establishment. They don't take reservations, which can be a little irritating, however the food makes up for it. The steaks and salmon are excellent. The prime rib is in the top five I've had in STL.

Over priced, overrated, and under flavored. The staff acts like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. The last two visits were mediocre at best. Chain steak houses are better bet and I have never said that before.

We're taking a break from Tuckers, we'll be back some other time.... good luck! Oh! And prices went up.... bummer.

The best place for steak in STL! Many other good menu options as well. Family owned and operated. All the quality of an expensive steakhouse without the price.

Tuckers is never bad, but it also has never made me think of them as a regular place for me to eat. I went here most recently for work, and it was free, so it is always better when it is free, but overall... It's just okay.

It's a decent steakhouse. Yes you'll find better at a legit $100 per steak steakhouse, but you'll get a solid steak for a quarter of the price. Service is great as well. Great place to indulge in a solid 1 pound steak and not worry about cost.

Probably the worst service I've ever received at a restaurant. Next time I'm looking for a headache I'll come back here.

I think that my husband and I may start a religion, worshipping Tucker's Places across the St. Louis area. Their wings and steaks are always on point, as well as their customer service. Prices are amazing, don't forget Tuesday night they have this ridiculously huge steak, big enough to share for next to nothing.
