The Wolf Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

One of the few places I will even consider to visit in Chesterfield area. All businesses in Chesterfield are obnoxious chain restaurants and I will drive an extra 5-10 minutes from my work during my break to come here because it is locally owned. I know I can come to The Wolf Lodge and be greeted by very kind workers, enjoy a peaceful atmosphere to work in (I come in only in the afternoons, looks like the night scene would be different,) and I will always have great food with so many healthy choices. Specifically today, I was THAT annoying customer who ordered everything wrong several times without reading all the info on the menu first. The cashier was calm smiled and helped me even though I was being pretty difficult. ( changing my mind and asking for updated pricing...) I then found out the wifi was down they quickly solved the problem AND personally found me to make sure it was working well for me. Always expect a great experience when you come here.

This is the second time I've been here. I was here for a Christmas party a couple years ago, but I didn't get to observe much outside of the large crowd. I chose the quinoa and although it was very good, the portion was small, and I really don't eat that much at one time. So it was definitely small. My sister had the turkey, bacon and gouda grilled sandwich, which was delicious. I wish I had ordered that instead. I do love the atmosphere and design--it feels a little like the lodge at a ski resort. The difference between old Yelpers and young Yelpers is that sometimes we oldtimers rate things like chairs. They are very hard and not comfy!

This place is a very comfortable local hangout that has great locavore food and drink. It started out as more of a coffee house before it expanded its drink menu. Until more recently, their service has been more prompt but not so much lately. They seem to either take longer to deliver your order or leave part of it out. I lunched with friends on a kale salad, which was just right, and my favorite Machiato. Then, I just ordered a french dip sandwich to go for my wife but I ordered it over a half hour ago and it did not arrive until I brought it to their attention. It turns out that they assumed I would pick it up at the front counter. I love the Wolf and hope it sorts through its recent problems.

so happy I found this place! I love the atmosphere. My friend and I went here after a hike, and it was the perfect lunch. I had their salmon BLT. The salmon was the moistest salmon I've ever had. The bacon on top was amazing. It was thick, crunchy, and tasted perfectly with the salmon. Will come again!

Really chill atmosphere. The people taking orders at the counter were super nice. The slinger was delicious. When I first saw the size, I didn't think I'd be full. Make no mistake, this is real food, no filler. The chili was filling and full of good stuff - black beans and jalapenos. The coffee was really good - they had highlander grogg, my fav. Had a great brunch with the parents!

Coffee and food were fabulous! I highly recommend this wonderful gem. I cannot wait to go back and take family and friends. Whether you are in the mood for sweet or savory, they have it. It also look like a great beer menu

I came to The Wolf for the first time yesterday for a quick meeting. I had been wanting to try it out for a while but was never in the area. The space is pretty big and cozy! They have a good amount of outdoor seating as well as indoor. The parking lot is a little weird but they also have plenty of parking. It was quite popular for a 9:00 AM on a weekday. They have decent sized tea menu but it's all bagged tea. I was a little disappointed but it was surprisingly good. I got the toasted coconut black tea and loved it. They carry Mississippi mud coffee if you were curious! I wanted to get some food after my meeting but I was in a hurry and forgot. I'll have to go come back for a meal. Their food looks amazing.

+ MO grass-fed beef burgers + BACON JAM where have you been all my life + Outdoor seating + Dog friendly + Self-serve coffee The Wolf is a cute neighborhood cafe, order-at-counter style, with a simple but well-curated menu. They offer breakfast until 11am

I've been here before for both lunch and breakfast and the food has been great as well as the coffee. But recently was very disappointed to come on a Sunday with an out-of-town visitor and found out that breakfast isn't served after 11. They're only open until 2, so why not have and all-day Sunday brunch? I understand the time restriction for the week- but they should reconsider for the weekend, especially Sunday.

I came here with my lovely friend after a hike - so I was pretty darn hungry. I always say Hungry is the best seasoning, but I think my food would have been great without it. I had a burger and it was fantastic. Bacon Jam on a burger is the best idea ever. The end. PS - for those who care, they do a very good side salad for replacement for chips.

Love this place!! So cute and homey inside. Amazing menu with delicious options. I got the Pick 2 with the chicken and spinach salad and the turkey bacon and gouda sandwich. Both were delicious.

Good atmosphere and good lunch options. Got the grilled vegetable sandwich with the quinoa "super side" salad. The sandwich was excellent and the goat cheese was a nice compliment. The quinoa salad, however didn't balance the flavor of the broccoli, nuts and goat cheese. Therefore the dish was overwhelmingly quinoa, which took away from the meal rather than complement it. The staff didn't tell us that we needed to collect our beverages elsewhere which was frustrating but otherwise were helpful in there recommendations and their positivity contributed to the restaurant's ambiance. Would be willing to try again at a later date.

I love trying new restaurants and this one did not disappoint. It's a cute cafe what does somewhat rustic look and bicycles and kayak hanging from the ceiling for some reason. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. There is also a bar with 6 stools if you are dining alone. The food is very good and unique plus a good selection of beer. I will be back.

This place is wonderful! The employees are all so friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed with outdoorsy décor. I felt like I was in Colorado. I heard they might have musical entertainment sometimes but I haven't had the opportunity yet to experience that. The selection of coffee drinks is quite impressive. I tried 2 different ones and both delicious. Plus, tasty pastries that were so fresh. The chefs were very friendly. You can see them in the kitchen cooking away and enjoying their work. One came out and asked about our lunch. Of course, it was yummy! Perfect portions and perfect taste! I wish I lived closer because I would go all the time.

Went here for breakfast/brunch with some running buddies after we finished our Saturday morning trek. I had never been before, but it was highly recommended (and chosen) by one in the group. True to its website self-description, the place is indeed rustic inside. I would call it a hunting lodge motif, but definitely without the hunting. Many items on the menu are offered in vegetarian versions, and I got the impression that the same applied to the workers. But anyhoo, it had a fun/enjoyable vibe to it - especially when you are just relaxing and refueling. I'll just have to rely on my dish, and the appearance of the others' dishes, for this review. So take it with a grain of salt. I ordered the bacon skillet, which consisted of "3 eggs scrambled, potatoes, choice toast or fruit [I got the fruit], bacon, spinach, onion, tomatoes, Heartland goat cheese. So in case you can't tell, this is a localvore/sustainable/trendy type of place. But I really liked it. The food was all fresh, nothing was wilted, the eggs (actually all the ingredients) were tasty, and I had forgotten that goat cheese is so much more pungent than cow cheese. But I was full, satisfied, and happy when I finished. Fruit was a nice mix of blueberries, strawberry, and similar. So since I didn't really get to ask the others how their food was, I'll just have to say that everyone seemed to be eating heartily, with no complaints. And the appearance & presentation of all the different plates was appealing. It was pretty busy, but our orders came to the table quickly (you stand in line to order, then go have a seat). The workers were all friendly, too. What more could I want? Better than just an average experience, that I recommend to others.

This place was awesome! Love the environment! Awesome beer selection. Will be back. Just wish they hadn't run out of the sauce for the fish tacos. What they replaced it with was a little too bland for me. The original sauce sounded tasty tasty! With a little better food experience I give this place 5 stars. Next time.

Ate here three times while in town caring for family. Bohemian, eclectic and pleasant atmosphere. There are both burgers and more healthy choices on the menu. Order at the counter and food is brought to your table when ready. Grilled salmon sandwich was a delicious choice. French dip was mediocre ... meat was a tad on the dry side with more gristle than we prefer. A nice selection of muffins and cookies. Good selection of craft beer. Downside: servers and staff seemed undermanned and rushed each time we were there. On the third visit, we were second (and last) in line to a couple who ordered a beer sampling. The cashier taking orders departed to service the first couple at the bar ... no one took her place at the counter and after a five minute delay while she described the beer varieties to the first couple, the line at the counter was ten deep. By the time she returned to us with a half-hearted apology, we were left frustrated and unhappy. Poor service and attitude left one star off this review.

Service was friendly and prompt. I personally liked the beverage station set up with your choice of coffee brews, iced tea, water, etc. Breakfast egg sandwich was huge (I was full after just half) and piled high with 2 fried eggs, avocado, tomato, bacon, and lettuce. Prices are reasonable. Definitely will come back for a quick breakfast/coffee stop! Overall 3.5 stars :)

Excellent spot! The food is fresh, creative, and memorable. They have craft coffee and craft beer with a stellar rotation of taps coming through! Live music and a friendly staff. Don't miss this place, its worth the trip!

Today, my husband and I tried brunch. A bit of a wait, about 10 min ( 1 cashier). I ordered the slinger (served all day). Wow! Really packed full of flavor. It's made in a bowl with vegetarian chili, chopped up black bean burger with sprinkling of cheddar, all topped with two gooey fried eggs. My husband had the blueberry muffin with coffee. The muffin was large and encrusted with sugar. The taste was outstanding and had just enough blueberries. We ate outside in the sun, which I loved, because there was just a little Spring chill left in the air. A nice way to start my Sunday morning.

Great atmosphere at the Wolff! Service from the staff is very good! They have a great breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They focus on supporting local farmers, and businesses. I also enjoy their beer selection in the evenings. They feature all St. Louis brewery's! Check them out!

Well...here goes something. I visited "The Wolf" Public House today with some pretty high expectations. I walked in, heeding previous reviews, and walked right up to the counter to order. The menu was not too intimidating, nothing like a coffee house or "Starbucks" type place. I have heard such great things about the burgers, but noticed very few choices. None of them jumped out at me, so I went for the Spicy Chicken sandwich instead. It was supposed to come with Sriracha sauce and some pretty tasty other ingredients. I also ordered the spicy Billy Goat chips as a side and a soda. The total was $13 for my food, so I was expecting something great. I walked to the well hidden soda fountain to find a bit of a disappointing surprise. They carry Ski branded sodas, so their selection is pretty slim. I don't really like the Ski franchise, so I wish I would have ordered a cider or something else instead. My bad... The food came pretty quickly, and the staff seemed nice. They weren't particularly interested in being cordial or friendly, but they were professional and got the job done. My sandwich didn't look like I thought it would, but it still looked tasty. I rebuilt it due to sliding toppings and took a bite...and was unfortunately less than impressed. The sandwich was alright, but not $10 alright. The chicken wasn't very seasoned, the sauce didn't have the "kick" of typical Sriracha and did I mention it was small? I opened my bag of chips and poured them out on my plate. The portion was...less than stellar. The chips tasted really good, and were the highlight of the meal, but that's not the result I wanted. The chicken sandwich was finished and gone, and I was still quite hungry. The chips were gone...still hungry. I spent $13 to be hungry. That's never good. We went back up and got a piece of their peanut butter pie for $4. It was pretty tasty and was a great addition to help curb my appetite. It brought the total to $17 for the meal. I ended up drinking three sodas to fill myself up with something and left with the group we came with. One of the people in our party simply loves this place...but I just cannot see it. It's just another "hipster" type place in the sea of hipster places. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it, but it's definitely NOT for me.

This is a great place to grab a lattè or lunch! I don't get over to Ballwin that often, but if I'm in the area, I always pop in for a cup of joe! Their customer service is excellent as well.

Easily my favorite place in my area. Great beer selection, solid food, and fantastic staff. It took me a while to finally stop in and check it out, but now that I have, I keep wanting to go back. Food is of the highest quality, and because of that the prices might seem a bit high. They are pretty comparable (if not cheaper) to similar styled restaurants. As a former server, service is a big thing on my checklist. The Wolf maintains a staff of friendly employees who seem to enjoy their jobs. Can't say enough good things about this place. Just wished it was around the corner so I could walk there on nice nights.

This review is based on breakfast alone. We decided to come here on a Saturday morning after a run to enjoy breakfast and coffee. This place is really cute! The outdoor space has plenty of tables and hanging bistro lights for a nice atmosphere once the sun goes down. It was such a nice morning that we sat outside in front at one of the large tables with comfortable seats. The indoor space was nice too, kind of a Colorado/Arizona vibe. There are plenty of places to sit either outside or in. The toffee but latte was delicious, I wish it came with free refills! The breakfast sandwich came piled high with an over medium egg, avocado, tomato, lettuce and bacon on delicious toasted wheat bread. It came with an option of sides, we went with the watermelon which came out in a huge, beautiful slice. The food was great, the people were nice and it was a relaxed atmosphere and not overly crowded. This might be our new go to place for breakfast! Would like to come back and enjoy their dinner, drinks and live music sometime.

Best coffee shop/food spot in West County as far as I'm concerned. Everybody is friendly, live music, craft beers, great wine and incredible food from local and organic sources. We've never had less than a 5 star meal! Vinyl Night and open mic night are just a few reasons to keep us coming back. Highly recommended!

Overall a great first impression. Found there to be a great selection of craft beers on draft. Not too many but a well planned selection for any mood. Had an appetizer along with it. The menu looks great for lighter, casual fare. Look forward to coming back to dine in the future. The overall decor is eclectic and there was live music on Saturday evening. It also looked clean and well maintained. Only thing I didn't like were the barstools. Not the most comfortable, however there are plenty of other seating options.

Went here with friends to listen to music and eat dinner. The food was expensive for what you get- small portions and nothing special. Nice beer selection- ran out of Pinot Grigio wine at 9pm on a Saturday night :0 Ok place to go for some coffee or beer and listen to music- eat somewhere else.

Hands down, the BEST place to take out of town guests for a perfect breakfast in a casual, fun, rocky-mountain bohemian atmosphere. We ordered skillet breakfasts, which were the perfect size, not greasy at all and very healthy. Prices are reasonable, coffee is excellent (and I'm picky about coffee!), restaurant is super clean and the service is very friendly.

This location used to be an expensive russian restaurant but the wolf claimed its territory. First off, just go there once for the environment. Give it a 4 for environment, but give it a 3 overall. Absolutely love the decor. Its cabin like, outdoorsy, artsy, and hipster feel. Not your typical west county scene. They have live music performances on some nights. When there arent performances, that area can be used to study. The food is okay. I have ordered several items that seemed to stand out on the menu and I mostly enjoyed it, but overall, it did not wow my palate. For drinks, They offer a variety to fit your needs (beer coffee soda tea etc) which is nice whether you need to wind up or down with. I wish they opened later though (close pretty early). Service was normal to slow each time Ive gone.

I cannot will myself away from the black bean burger patty with goat cheese and tomato jam to try anything else but I'm sure it's fantastic. Staff is friendly, place is clean, and prices are good. I like the Australian feel of ordering at the counter.

This is a beautiful place but some of the quirks just drag down the star-level for this review. Specifically: - You walk in and grab a table...and then they ignore you because they only take orders at the counter. - The soft drink machine is well hidden - Sandwich didn't match my expectations and the differences weren't explained on the menu I had a pleasant sandwich although it was not what I ordered initially. About 10 minutes after I had placed my order the woman who took the order showed up to tell me that they were out of an ingredient. Consequently, I changed my order to a club sandwich. It was tasty but weird - two pieces of bread instead of three; bread instead of toast. Also, the turkey appeared to be regular deli meat - not really what I expected from a $9 club sandwich.

Food is very good. We go there for breakfast quite a bit. Cool atmosphere. The service friendly, but not always the fastest. It's also great for take out and dining in. They have great beers on tap and live music on weekends.

The black and bleu burger was perfectly cooked and there wasn't an up-charge for a side salad! The 9" pizza was just he right size to feed my 2 daughters; they devoured the entire pie. After dinner we played a few of the board games they have for use. Great family time.

We've been 3-4 times, we're always pleased with the food. I need to make it out some evening (only been for brunch or lunch)! Portobello reuben was delicious -- side of chickpea-pea-celery salad was crisp and flavorful. Great lunch spot with interesting outdoor seating and cool outdoorsy indoor-display.

The Wolf is a labor of love for both the staff and the customers. Ever since our beloved Billy Goat gastro-pub closed on Vandeventer, we've been searching for something to fill that gaping hole in our hearts. The Wolf came awfully close, but failed in so many other places. Walking in can be a bit confusing, especially during busy times. It's order at the counter, server delivers food. Seems simple, but it has flaws. First, the menu is a must-read with all sorts of good choices, which leads to customers feeling rushed while standing in line or customers wasting time at the register with making decisions. Second, there are lots of choices and lots of goodies so ordering can even be a pain (what do you want on your sandwich, what kind of beer) especially in noisy situations. Seating yourself also leads to other problems like needing silverware or an extra sauce or whatever. The servers also never seem accommodating when they bring out the food if we have needed something extra. Even asking for silverware was met with gruffness. It all takes a lot of love and patience to get through the poor service set up. The food is really, really good. Everything we have ordered has been top notch. I especially like their use of Billy Goat chips topped with melted cheese and balsamic vinegar. The ingredients are high quality, and it is plainly obvious that a lot of time, love, and thought has gone into delivering the food. Of course, good food takes time, and every time we have gone to The Wolf we have had overlong waits. On a band night, I talked with one of the managers and she said there were only two people in the kitchen! That is insane for a packed house. Another time we went there on a lazy weekend afternoon, and still the wait for our food was way longer than the norm. Obviously a lot of West County folk love the place regardless of its apparent flaws. The place is packed quite often, and the feel of place is really comfortable. They have everything but service down to 5 stars, but the flaws in service brings this way down. If they got service in order with more wait staff and better kitchen times, this would be a 5-star easily. Right now there are easier places to love.

The wolf has a great, Colorado-like atmosphere. The food is all local, and they have a nice selection of craft beers. I had the black bean sandwich with avocado and chipotle mayo and it was amazing!! Their chocolate chip cookies are also to die for! They have live music and it seems like it would be a laid back date night place. Family friendly.

I know this restaurant as the Lone Wolf but I'm sure it's the same. I'm vegetarian and finding, vegan/vegetarian in W. Co. is challenging. They serve locavor ingredients and buy from local vendors. The beer selection is amply and wine choices accommodating.. Did I mention they serve a great breakfast! And, last but not least, they are priced right, with homemade soup, sandwiches, side dishes changing frequently. This is not a chain/fast food restaurant but an accommodating serving staff makes its a treat.

I've waited for more than a week to post this review, thinkng my impressions were too harsh. But they weren't. This is mostly about awful service. The Wolf either needs more workers or more attentive workers. While I was there, two of the coffee urns were empty, and one patron had to ask for the half and half to be refilled. Shoudn't somebody be "on point" to be watching this stuff? And they weren't busy this mid-afternoon Saturday. I sat at the bar for 7 minutes before somebody asked me if I'd been waited on. Holy cow, if YOU haven't waited on me, you can pretty much figure nobody has. 'Cause I'm sitting there in my coat reading my book with absolutely nothing in front of me. So, I got some assistance selecting a beverage. All was well, until my beverage was gone. 13 minutes later, and after I asked for a menu, I got another beverage. So, the menu was sitting there for a really long time, and it doesn't take that long to peruse their menu. Sit, sit, sit. And, yes, I had my book with me, so I was reading the entire time, and not particularly stressed, but I started noticing patrons pushing the coffee carafes to get coffee, and all that was coming out was air. Nobody said anything. And nobody DID anything! I ordered a classic cheeseburger with smashed potatoes. Yes, that's what they call them and yes, that's what they are. And with the suggestion of my server, I got the cheeseburger with bleu cheese. That sounded just perfect. However, my "server of the moment" forgot to put in my order. So I sat and sat and sat. Reading and reading and reading. When the food came, it was DELICIOUS!! The burger was spectacularly grilled, with lettuce, tomato and red onion. The bleu cheese on top was fabulous. And the smashed potatoes, well they were dog-gone spectacular, too! I don't know why they were so good, but they were. So I'm so torn on this review. The food was fabulously spectacular. The service was a big fat stink pot.

Another fantastic meal at the Wolf! Everything is great, but we're really crazy about the Black Bean Burger and their sandwiches. For breakfast, don't miss the Breakfast Club sandwich! Best part of this place is the neighborhood feel and the friendly atmosphere. A must visit.

The Wolf is one of my favorite hangouts whenever we're back in St. Louis. It's a really nice combination coffeehouse, restaurant, and bar, and the atmosphere is something that you don't typically find in St. Louis County. Comfortable, rustic decor. Locally produced foods. Great coffee. Nice selection of craft beers. Amazing ownership. My only complaint is that the food doesn't always live up to my expectations. Usually very good but sometimes a little bland. Otherwise I love everything about this place.

I visited The Wolf Public House for a business networking event. The group had reserved the private room that easily held the thirty-plus people in attendance. I got in line to order my coffee and breakfast as I read the menu. There were many tempting offerings for breakfast including eggs, sandwiches, french toast, omelets and several baked goods. I chose the Trailhead sandwich (bacon, egg, cheddar cheese on a brioche bun). The menu also listed several options for lunch and dinner. The lunch listings included a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. The "Night Menu" offered appetizers, panini, pizzas and desserts. The selections of local and regional craft beers are worthy of a return visit. After ordering, I was offered a real coffee cup which I appreciated. The coffee bar that was set up for our group included a Breakfast Blend and a Robust Blend. I had the Robust and it was delicious. Soon after I sat down, my breakfast was delivered to me. The bread was toasted, the bacon was crisp and the scrambled eggs were firm. Because the Lone Wolf follows a "safe, organic, sustainable" mantra, there wasnt a lot of seasoning on my sandwich. That's fine, I can shake my own salt and pepper. The sandwich was very tasty. The ambiance is fantastic. Like a mountain lodge/log cabin. The meeting room has a small stage for weekly live music. The meeting room is also available to rent for special events. I am looking forward to my next visit to The Wolf Public House.

My family and I have gone to Wolf for years, and watched it morph many times. With each visit, the decor, menu, prices and staff change just a little. When it originally opened it was a bit like an Eco friendly Cheers ("Norm!!!")... Minus the beer. Amazing organic food, recycling, outdoorsy flair and a staff that knew our family and looked forward to our visits. Our average dinner for 4 was around $22, so we could visit weekly. Over time, ownership shifted from one partner to the other, prices increased, they stopped recycling, familiar faces left and with it, any service. The environmental consciousness stopped, as did the recycling. I applaud the Wolf ownership for being willing to adapt to keep their business alive (& for a really excellent selection of music most nights), but today, dinner for 4 approaches $50, less is organic or even made in-house and the staff is frequently inattentive. All this being said, I am still giving some stars, because its one of the few places in West County with any personality, and a consistently great selection of musicians coming through.

The Wolf feels like that really awesome place you find on vacation that you WISH was in your town. The ambiance is stellar. It feels like you're in the Northwest, cool, irregular tables, water served out of mason jars, eclectic things hanging on the walls, very outdoor-adventure themed, LOTS of space to have meetings or meet with a larger group for lunch, great patio for nice days and even covered seating out front. Then the menu! There's nothing like it in West Co. Organic, local food. Unique (niche) menu items. Quality ingredients. This is a foodie paradise. Best of all, it's a locally owned business. No corporate conglomerate making you feel like it's local. Truly locally owned and responsive to its community. Every time I'm there, I think, "why don't I come here more often?" And I'm there weekly! The ONLY drawback is that at peak times the service can be slow. Everything is ordered at the counter and the knowledgeable staff take their time explaining menu items to patrons and so you have to wait. But it's all worth the wait, IMO.

This place needs to stick around! Here are some things I love about The Wolf: 1. Many of the tables are made out of irregular-sized driftwood-like slabs. There are a bunch of different seating options and you can pick wherever you feel like sitting. 2. When you ask for water, you get to pick a mason jar instead of getting a crappy plastic cup. They're located next to the soda fountain and they also have lemon wedges available. 3. The whole place is outdoor activity-themed...hiking, biking, fishing, rock climbing, etc. The decor is very festive and makes you want to run around outside. 4. They offer a selection of fantastic local beers, including Civil Life, which is so exciting! 5. The quality of the food is unmistakable. It's as locally sourced as they can get, from the produce to the bread, and you can definitely taste the difference. My favorite things are the Premo sandwich (salami, ham & provolone with marinated vegetables), the Mount Fuji (roast beef, roasted red peppers, cilantro, wasabi sauce) and the White Mountain grilled cheese (provolone, spinach, tomato). Also try the chopped salad with green goddess dressing-YUM!

The décor is "woodsy cabin" in Ballwin. Nice microbrew selection. Wine selection is good and with the short happy hour .. very good prices. The food is pretty good for basic salads and sandwiches

Had the spinach skillet and the roast beef sandwich. I am very pleased with the meal. The roast beef has this wonderful wasabi dressing and they do a perfect job in browning the meat for a smoky taste that lingers. The mixed greens has a delicious light maple vinaigrette that is very unique. Very large lodge setting. Free wifi.

We went to The Wolf this past Saturday night. It was fairly busy, but not crazy. We went for dinner and to listen to the live music (band was not so great, but that's another story). I love the decor and feel of the place. The food was really good. The service - pretty awful. They were out of menus at 5:45 and had to print more so we could order. Food is ordered at a counter and delivered to your table. Our food was brought out to our group in waves - we were not all served at the same time. By the time our food came, the band was playing and we couldn't hear the servers - which was clearly our fault by the amount of exasperation they showed. We cleared all of our own dishes and glasses. It was either do it yourself or listen to the band with a table full of dishes, glasses and trash. Getting a drink at the bar was almost painful. One of the women working was so surly and rude each and every time we wanted something. Another gal was pleasant - we just didn't see her often enough! Be aware that there is no hard liquor - beer, wine and hard ciders - and their soft drinks are not Coke or Pepsi products. We spent about four hours there and quite a bit of money. Bad entertainment, bad service, but good food! We stayed because friends joined us and we made it fun. I would go again maybe for lunch because the food is really good, but I now know not to expect great service and that they have questionable taste in music.

I love coffee shops and it's hard to earn a 5 star review from me. To me a 5 star review means I can't think of anything that would improve the place. The Wolf Public House (formerly Lone Star Coffee) has wonderful fresh food that is reasonably priced and offers items that you won't find on every menu across town. They have very fast service, tons of seating options (the main cafe room, a couch area, an adjoining room good for large groups and an outside patio). Plus the coffee includes free refills and they have free wifi with plenty of outlets. I'm used to going to coffee shops in urban areas, so a place with a parking lot is also appreciated. The only drawback for me is that it is too far from my house to make visits convenient, so I tend to swing by when I'm selling homes in Chesterfield or Ballwin. I've never been there in the evening, but they apparently have live music and beer too. The Wolf is a welcome respite in a part of town where you expect chain restaurants. If they decided to open a satellite location closer to U City or the city, I'd invest!

First time visited... loved the Chorizo Burrito and my wife loved the Breakfast burrito. Fresh baked cookies and fresh fruit only made it better.

I really love this place. It's a very unique environment--very campy, cabin-in-the-woods kind of feel. Their coffee is great and the food is good. It's a bit on the pricey side, but overall just fine. They are usually busy in small spurts during mealtimes and during the slow periods in between it is a very chill environment--perfect for doing some work or reading.

I had the smoked salmon salad. Good. I don't choose salmon normally. I asked to substitute their trout. The price was increased. Too expensive for a salad! The veggies were fresh though.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is delicious. The fist time I had the black bean burger I did not even realize it was vegan. Good music, eclectic. Good beer. Just this awesome little bohemian cafe with just the right amount hippie.

Great Local Coffee shop. Not a huge fan of the coffee, but the food is Amazing. The grilled cheese is the best in St.Louis. I love the woodsy amtoshpere. It is like a cross between a Lodge and a coffee shop. They play live music a few nights and drinks are really affordable. I keep getting told that my dog Max looks like the "Lone Wolf" in the pictures on the wall at the Lone Wolf, and well that is becuase the pictures are of Max and he is an Alaskan Malamute. If you see us here on the patio feel free to say high. Max is friendly to anyone who bribes him with a bagel. :)

I discovered this place because I was desperately searching New Belgian Brewing Co's "Libation Location" for a spot to drink their fantastically delicious Super Cru. According to the website, The Wolf Public House is one of three local spots that carries it. So, off we went. Though the Super Cru was nowhere to be found (sad), this place was still a great discovery. Beyond the fact that it's rustically adorable, they have live music at night, and their beer selection is impressively diverse. The food is pretty decent too - I opted for a turkey and brie sandwich with spicy mustard -- it was fresh and definitely spicy, with a side of fruit to make one healthy meal. The options are limited to sandwiches and salads for the most part, which leaves room for a highly caloric beer or two. In my opinion, this place has their priorities in the right place.

The coffee is: 1) expensive, considering it's pump-your-own coffee, and 2) weird tasting - kinda like it has maple syrup flavoring. Just odd. The space itself is fine. It's nice and open. I hate the decor - but that's just personal preference. I had coffee (with my own cup - so it should have been a refill price) and a singly chocolate chip muffin. $5. I thought that was slightly pricey for coffee and a muffin. The muffin was CRAZY DRY. I really required my maple syrup coffee to wash it down. If I hadn't been there on a pre-arranged meeting, I would have left. As it was, I'll simply suggest somewhere else when we need to meet.

I'll set up potential scenes: ~You've just biked 40 miles in the county with 3 of your closest friends and you're looking for an awesome, hearty breakfast. Come here. ~You've just spent the night at your boyfriend's condo in Chesterfield after a wild night downtown and need hangover food STAT. Come here. ~You've just left your in-laws who live in Ballwin and need a place to grab a nutritious meal before you head back home to Chicago. Come here. (I am fit one of those three scenarios! Care to guess which?!) Not only does this place have a great selection of food and drinks, they have music/entertainment on weekend nights. As the owner has put it, they are trying to bring some culture from the city, into the county. Fun spot. Highly recommend!

My favorite West County coffee destination, along with a great selection of sandwiches, salads, etc. For those of you who live "inside 170," this unique and warm atmosphere is worth the trip west. Truly a neighborhood location, locals cherish this spot. Live music is often available in the evening, and the bar is open!!

Yes, I am a non-coffee drinker. What does that mean? I can't really tell the difference between lots of different coffees, but I do know I drink it with 3 Splendas and preferably hazelnut creamer. And yet, here I am, rating a coffee company, haha. I went to Lone Wolf Coffee Company for a morning meeting with a friend. He told me there was cheap breakfast there, which of course, I couldn't say no to. I was so very pleasantly surprised, however, to find that the food was not only cheap but fantastically fresh and delicious (I was tempted to type "so clean, clean," but that wouldn't make sense here... sadness). I had their Cordon Bleu, which is a nice omelette with ham and cheese and scallions. It was only $3.95 and came with a cup of fresh fruit. I also had the chance to taste their "Trailhead Temptation," which is a delish breakfast sandwich with bacon cheese and egg. I even bought a cup of coffee. They had Splenda and regular creamer, which worked for me. Overall, the food was great and the atmosphere is very nice. The place was well kept and very clean. I'd say definitely check out their breakfast options! I'm tempted to go back and try some of their other foods.

To start off, the name of the coffee shop is just plain B.A. - "Lone Wolfe." A-Whoooooooooo! I was first introduced to this coffee shop when I ran a midnight 5K run, which began with a howling a real wolf. And ever since that night, I've been a loyal fan. When it comes to coffee, I am a Starbucks junkie. I like my cup of Joe bold & strong. And I would say that Lone Wolf's Midnight Express or Full Moon (my favorite) match or even top Starbucks quality. The place also serves variety of food items for breakfast and lunch, which are all well priced. I am a big fan of their salads. They pile up fresh greens and each salad has an unique flavor/twist to it - like their Fièsta Festìva salad that comes with Julienne grilled chicken, roasted corn & grilled red peppers served w/ tomato, jicama & tortilla threads over mixed greens w/cilantro-chile-lime dressing. Yum! One unique thing about the coffee shop is that there's a corner for local musician to just come by and jam on their instruments. You can play your one-hit wonder song and impress the crowd. They also have LCD tvs around the coffee shop that are tuned into CNN & ESPN (my favorite). This is a local business that definitely gives back to the community - hosting events like "Fly Fishing Tying" night, Arctic National Wildlife Photo Gallery night, etc. I guarantee that this coffee shop is worth a visit - especially for the West Country folks. Once you step in, you will be sucked into its unique way of life. A-Whoooooooooo!

Think St. Louis Bread Co meets Caribou Coffee (do you have those in St. Louis?)., but with a local flare. Pretty neat place. Went there for lunch, had a great soup and salad combo. Looks like they have all kinds of tasty soups and salads. The lady working behind the counter was really friendly, and told me that they have live music and speakers sometimes in the evenings, seems like this place has a lot going on. Looks like it is striving to be the Mecca of chill coffee houses in the Ballwin area, and it probably won't disappoint. Definitely worth checking out.

Lone Wolf Coffee Company has a cozy atmosphere with an outdoorsy decor, a fireplace and wi-fi. They have a unique offering of salads and sandwiches (paninis, flatbreads, gourmet cheeses), homemade chips, fresh soups, coffee and espresso drinks, teas and baked goods. My husband loved the unsweetened rasberry green tea and the marrakesh chicken sandwich on flatbread with a seasoned yogurt sauce. I thought the black bean, rice and tomato soup was delicious - fresh with zip! I've been twice so far and it's one of those places I look forward to going back so I can try more of the menu items, as it was so hard decide each time.

I just moved from the city to west county a few months ago, and I am already growing weary of Panera. On a whim I decided to check this place and it's great! It's set up a lot like Kaldi's (place order at counter, they bring it to you, you put away your own plate). The place is huge, yet cozy, and had plenty of outlets for the laptop. I had an iced caramel macchiato, which wasn't too sweet, and a Mt. Fuji sandwich (sirloin, wasabi sauce, red onion, red pepper). I loved the roll that the sandwich came on - very soft and delicious - the sirloin was fantastic and the wasabi sauce did a great job of clearing my sinuses. The lady at the counter was super nice, and after I was finished she actually came to by to clear my tray and ask me how the food was (that never happens at Panera). I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the food!

I know this place has a lot of loyal customers who post reviews, but as some one who is new to the place, come prepared to wait. This was some of the slowest service I have ever experienced. I ordered oatmeal, if you are familiar in a setting like this, oatmeal is made in advance and it is a matter of dumping it in the bowl and dumping a serving of fruit on the plate. I waited over 20 min for oatmeal--then they brought out the wrong order for my dining companion (who btw also ordered oatmeal), so 10 minutes later I got a bowl of cold oatmeal and she got a bowl of hot. I counted at least 5 people behind the counter -- a young guy doing all the cooking by himself and the rest of the staff hanging out and chatting. There were a total of maybe 10 customer so it was not like they were busy. If you are a regular and you like talking to the staff great but warning to new customers don't bother unless you have an unlimited time to muck around. Also if you like to have your food hot and your order prepared properly that seems to be a challenge for this place also!!
