Well the food to say the least was okay, the best part of the meal was the glass of moscato, it went down hill from there . I had the crab and shrimp tortalini, shrimp taste like it had been frozen for so long that it was now vintage, and crab should be changed to crab paste that had red flakes that may have been crab at one time. The wife had pork scalipini and it was dreaded poorly with a soggy texture that I'm sure comes from microwaving....yum! Bread sticks good, salad good. Server was good until they some how ran my credit card for the wrong amount and was having difficulties , so I said to refund what was charged and rum it on another card. I stood there looking stupid as her and her manager tried to figure this out and make me stand there for 15 minutes , while I'm waiting , no offer of would you like something from the bar? Or I'm sorry for the issue, let me make an adjustment on your check or here is a free desert , no instead they ran my other card successfully and said that the amount was put back on to the first card charged. It may take up to 48 hours for it to be credited back to your account is what I'm told. Well come Wednesday no money... so the wife called and got the ball rolling with the help of a manager named Brad, he was eager to resolve this, come Thursday there is voicemail on the phone saying that my bank put a hold on the money and its not them its my bank. Friday i call the credit card company and they say no, its a pending transaction on their behalf and I need to take it up with olive garden. So I log on to look at my online statement fory card and there it is. A pending transaction from olive garden for $61.56. What? That amount doesn't even match my bill. What the hell is going on here.

I have visited this location numerous times over the years. i agree that the service here has been slipping. on this visit, it took 5 min to just get a drink order in. my sis and i ordered everything at one time, if that says anything. we can take awhile to decide. the manager finally came over to take our order. the food was ok. not bad but i've had better from this Olive Garden. i think the server we had was a bit new. alot of the other runners and servers kind of had a bit of giggly smile when having to deal with him. I hope they can get their people trained and they can go back to the Olive Garden i am used to.

I love Olive Garden, although their prices seem to be a little higher here lately. Maybe its just because I do not go here to often. The only complaint I really have is there is a section in the middle part where you can sit next to a wall, and I dont know if its next to the prep area or the kitchen but constantly heard a banging sounds...overall experience it was good!

Saturday at noon. No wait! At about 1pm the waiting began. Decent sized lot but by 1 it was getting crowded. The service was good. I requested water before everyone arrived and they had no issue with that. Service was prompt. Took our order soon after sitting down. They offered refills on the salad. Got the soup and salad lunch and it was good. The chicken n. Gnocchi had more gnocchi than another OG that I have visited. Soup was served very hot too. The mints were given to us in a plastic kids cup, super cute! Everyone enjoyed their lunch.

Ate lunch here with some friends I haven't seen in a long time and had a nice meal. I like that they have gluten free pasta although with some locations it's hit or miss if they can prepare it correctly. This one got it right. My rotini with shrimp was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed it. My friends all enjoyed their meals as well, which added to a great visit filled with love and lots of laughter.

I felt the olive garden did a great job during my visit! The staff was super accommodating and friendly. We got our food quick. Our party was huge and everyone was very gracious about us being there. Great job OG! I had the seafood papardelle and it was pretty good. They were out of clams but came back to the table to ask if I wanted more shrimp or scallops. Was impressed! Took off one star because server forgot some non-essential stuff like lemon in water, also didn't ask if we wanted another salad or soup. But that's ok, and it was quick.

One year anniversary dinner at OG wasn't that great, before I ordered, I asked the waiter about a dish and he told me it is chicken so I ordered it. I received my chicken with spaghetti aswell. I hate spaghetti! I wasn't pleased and I am a very picky eater especially being pregnant! Note to self do not order the chicken scampi unless you like raw spag. My husband on the other hand loved his meal! He got the baked tilapia with shrimp! 10/10 from him on the food! The service was okay. Our waiter kept on disappearing. And when we were ready to order, it took about 10 for him to come. The manager did come over and take my dish off the bill, which was nice. Overall I would rate them 3/10!!!! ****THE MINTS ARE GREAT THOUGH****

Normally we have good service from this location but after placing a to go order and getting home to find my father's chicken parm still half frozen I was a little aggrevated. what made matters worse is that after placing a call to the restaurant I was told the manager would have to call me back. The manager called me back after a hour and a half. If I had been sitting in the restaurant and asked to see the manager I'm sure it wouldn't have taken that long for them to respond. That just proved to me that their to go service does not get the same level of quality as the sit down service gets.

We had dinner here a few days ago, the waitress was awesome, I would tell anyone I know to go here, great job guys! I hope my employee's treat people this way when I am not in my store!

We went here recently to celebrate a family birthday. Since we had a large group of twelve, we arrived early on a Friday night and were lucky enough to be seated right away. When we left, however, the lobby was absolutely packed with people waiting for tables. Our server did a wonderful job taking care of our large party. The courses flowed at a steady pace and drinks were never empty. We started with several baskets of their breadsticks and a few bowls of salad. The breadsticks were tough... like they had prepared an endless supply kept in warmers way too long in anticipation of the big weekend crowd. Oh well, it kept me from carbing out because I only ate one. It may have been a dangerous situation for me had they tasted fresh. At least the salads were good. The table ordered a variety of entrees, and everyone seemed pleased with their choices. I decided to try out one of their lighter fare entrees: a lasagna primavera roll filled with veggies and ricotta cheese then topped with chunky marinara sauce and grilled chicken. All the items on this light menu are 575 calories or under and there are actually some decent options. My husband enjoyed half of his five cheese ziti entree and had the other half wrapped to go. Unfortunately, this meal made him quite ill before we even reached home. :( His leftovers went straight in the trash. Thank goodness he didn't eat any more at the restaurant than the small amount that made him sick. Note to self: DO NOT ORDER THIS DISH. EVER.

My husband and I received gift cards here. I'm glad we didn't come on our own. Not good at all. The salad was out if a bag. My baked zit I was one layer of noodles, enough for a five year old. My husband got the chicken marsala. You could tell this was not home made either. Service was ok. Not going back.

Ok, I admit it: I like Olive Garden. I'm normally an "eat local" girl, but I'm down with OG! First, their salad and breadsticks. They just just GOOD. I really like their 4 cheese ziti al forno. Cheesy deliciousness. Always enough to bring home a to go box after eating salad and breadsticks. Their drinks are pretty good too. I've had several, both alcoholic and non, and they always are good. Service is always good at this location. We just want and our waiter got stuck helping a table of around 20 people, and he sent someone else to take care of us - no lapse in service. He apologized to us but it was impressive that he managed to get us taken care of despite being tied up. Oh, and who doesn't love those mints they bring when you pay? Seriously.

We go to Olive Garden on a semi regular basis. I personally feel the quality has gone down as well as the service. This past weekend my husband got the steak and ordered it medium and it came out well done and dry. When he slathers A-One all over a steak there is a problem! Our waiter never asked us how our food was. I only ate a few bites of mine. It had a terrible taste. I had gotten the mozzarella chicken. It had way too much oil on the plate as did my husbands. The waiter again did not ask me if there was an issue. My brother got a chicken dish that came with risotto and the risotto was so bland. An Italian place should know how to cook risotto. I wish they would work on quality so we could start going more like we used to.

When you go to a place called Olive Garden, you expect a classic, delicious, Italian meal and relaxing family dining experience. This is exactly what Olive Garden delivers. Not only do they meet this expectation, but they do it at an affordable and reasonable price. For these reasons, my family always comes back to enjoy a meal at Olive Garden. However, there is one department where Olive Garden fails to meet consumer expectations: OLIVES. For having a name like Olive Garden, one would expect to see some good quality kalamata olives somewhere on the menu. Instead, they have cheap, canned black olives. Of course, the cheaper olives allow them to afford their clientele an all you can eat salad, so I guess there is a trade off there. Still, if someone who happens to be an olive oil- olive tapenade- olive tasting connoisseur comes to the Olive Garden to satisfy their taste buds, they will be thoroughly disappointed. I think they should have at least one high quality olive dish on the appetizer menu. Maybe just a simple plate of marinated whole olives soaking in a flavorful oil. It's just a suggestion, but I know my family would come back at least twice as often if they had this one option. I do believe I'm not alone in this opinion, and the more customers who provide feedback about the olives (or lack thereof) the more likely the menu is to improve!

Don't expect 5 star, it's the Olive Garden. It is what it is and this location is not much different than the rest. Just what I wanted tonight.

I have been to this location twice. The first time was about 2 1/2 years ago. While I felt rushed, it was okay. The most recent visit was about 2 weeks ago. My husband and I had a friend in town that wanted to take us out to eat before he hit the road. We specifically went to Olive Garden because we had a coupon out of the paper. It was early evening on a Sunday and pretty crowded, but we didn't wait for a table. (The larger groups were complaining about the wait out in the lobby.) The hostesses were friendly, but the menus had food on them, including the drink menu on the table. My husbands menu was torn halfway up the middle and looked as if it would fall apart any second. I think my husband and friend were content with their food. I usually get soup (minestrone) and salad when I go to Olive Garden, which isn't often, and enjoy the breadsticks. This time I saw a meatless and dairy-free pasta on the menu called Capellini Pomodoro. It was alright, but not what I expected and I can make something much better myself at home. It is described as: "Roma tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil and extra-virgin olive oil tossed with capellini." I was expecting it to be tossed in oil and garlic with tomatoes, but it was a red sauce. Sort of bland. (I doctored up my leftovers when I ate the rest at home.)It was also $10.75, which seems pretty high for what it was. I should have stuck with the soup. So, not GREAT cuisine, but I could deal with that. It was our server that bothered me the most. She told us her name, but my husband saw that her name tag was clipped to the back of her apron and was turned facing her rear so you could not read it. She was slow in removing dirty dishes from the table. I finally started piling them up on one end of the table to make room and to give her a hint. There were bus trays on tray stands at other tables that had been empty for some time. Straw wrappers, etc. on the floor. She was slow with refills of bread and drinks. They were pretty stingy with those breadsticks. I have had worse, but she had a bit of an attitude. She was asking if we needed boxes long before my husband and our friend were done eating. A less than sincere "thank-you" was followed by the bill being flopped upright on the table without a book and three mints being tossed on top. We had to ask for the bill and then we had to track her down to pay. Already annoyed, when we got home I was looking at the check and she didn't even deduct the amount of our coupon. I expressly remember her taking it from my hand and saying she would take care of it. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager. Brad was pretty apologetic, but seemed pretty distracted like he was also talking to someone else in the restaurant. I had to repeat myself a lot. I told him about the coupon and her name tag, that service was sub-par and that I used to be a server and bartender for years. I said that I wouldn't have had a job if I had acted this way. He said he could handle it a couple of different ways and said he could send us a gift card for the $4 (the amount of the coupon.) i told him that I think we are done with chain restaurants. He looked up the ticket number and called back right away. He took my name and address and said he would be dropping it in the mail the next day. I didn't receive a gift card until a few days later after I had filled out their online survey that was mentioned on my receipt. Now it was for $10 instead. Still not sure that that would be enough to get me back in there, at least not THAT location. I sure don't want the same service and don't want to risk being remembered for complaining and get spit in my food. Maybe some day long after our server is no longer there. Then again, it might not be very long at the rate she's going. The best things I can say about the place are that the hostesses seemed nice and professional, except for not cleaning menus and discarding ones that can't be saved. I did appreciate that they ask if you would like cheese on your salad and pasta, but the whole table-side parmesan grinding was pretty sloppy and onto a saucer no less. They also said that their pasta contained no eggs when I inquired. The breadsticks and salad are very good, but they are slow & stingy with refills. We spent over $60 on our trip to Olive Garden. That's quite a lot of money these days. I expect more professionalism at that price. Restaurants really need to step it up if they want to stay open in this economy. I don't get to go out to eat often. When I do get to go out again, I will be going for a sure thing that is NOT a chain. I would have had more fun sitting at the bus station eating snacks out of a vending machine. At least the bus terminal was CLEAN when I was last down there and had better atmosphere.

This place sucks so hard. Never come here. Pasta and cheese is hard to mess up...but service sure isn't.

I don't know where to start, well, I have been to this location where service has been very bad, and then been here Like today...it was very good. So hit or miss. It depends on the day I guess. But our waiter was amazing today. he had so many tables but was doing a great job. I will say Its not like you can even enjoy your meal with 2 screaming toddlers in Olive Garden with you! Oh it was horrible. When did people start bringing babies to Olive Garden? Non stop screaming/crying does not make a happy experience here. I know its not to reflect on the restaurant at all. But, that was what we got today. Intolerable! It almost makes me hesitate to come back again. Everybody just acts like kids aren't screaming bloody murder? The food was amazing angel hair pasta with 5 cheese sauce and it was the never-ending pasta bowl. Quite a lot of food but delicious. I did add an amazing picture of my lunch.

One of our favorite St Louis waiters, George, left River City last year and no one there would tell us where he had gone. We found him here! In the past I never really thought of Olive Garden for anything but breadsticks. I just did not pick this as a favored destination. After 2 recent visits I know think I made a mistake. The salad is better than I remember and the menu is more extensive than I remember. The food is pretty much standard Italian and well prepared. George gives very good service too! Try the Garden again if you have not tried it for a long time.

We both ordered the soup and salad; you can't beat $6.99. I really enjoy the Zuppa Toscana, my wife enjoyed the Chicken Gnocchi We also added the side option for $2.99; I had the grilled asparagus and my wife had the 5 cheese ziti. They were both scrumptious. Our server was great, attentive to our needs We had a very positive lunch experience

Higher prices, smaller portions, larger plates and a handful size salad for 2. Really? Does OG really think customers are going to put up with this nonsense?.....NO. This must be the reason it was empty Friday night.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
