If you're a person who enjoys Perkins or Denny's then you would be at home here, all of my meals were mediocre at best, I honestly cannot recommend anything on the menu. The most disappointing part was the Juicy Lucy, this was not even close to what a real Juicy Lucy should be.

Honestly the worst food in Woodbury. Everything I ate tasted like water, I couldn't even eat it. Also tried the Juicy Lucy (which is a cheese stuffed burger) and it had no cheese on/in it which defeated the point. The waitress could not care less about us, she disappeared for like 20-30 min after we got our food. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Everyone I know whose tried this place hated it.

A cute little place. Good service. Their gyro is really good. I like the fried pickles and homemade fries. I love the chicken fried steak and the Belgian waffle is great. The bigmouth burger rocks. I like how crispy the walleye sandwich is. The pastrami sandwich was really good too. They have reasonable prices as well. It's a hell of a lot better then Vinnie's. Ze's actually makes homemade food that rocks. I've been there three times and had takeout twice. You should check it out.

Okay. Food & Service was good but very expensive I thought. Opted for breakfast during lunch hour, the Omelet was good but over priced. Nice atmosphere & friendly staff.

My litmus test for a diner is do they make a great omelet. My omelet was fluffy and huge. Most places they are dry and over cooked. Not here. Great execution. Hash Browns were crisp. Very nice decor. Could turn the great music up a couple of clicks. Will be back again

Our family loves Ze's Diner! My husband always orders the same item on the menu - The "Oh My Gosh" breakfast. It is fabulous! I love their soups and salads as they are fresh and homemade! Great customer service and quick food. We will definitely be back!

Woot! I get to get to do the first review. We decided to come here to warm up after skating at the outdoor rink at BSC. It was crowded, even at 11:30. The servers spotted us coming in the door and were ready with menus and kids menus right away. The service continued to be excellent from that first moment onward. Kudos to the owners for good training. Food: I had biscuits and gravy (which I adulterated with hot sauce). The gravy was a little runny, which is a good thing in my opinion because it can often end up like glue paste if not made properly. These were generic biscuits and gravy with no extra flourishes (like thyme or rosemary). This is not a bad thing and for those who enjoy this dish, it's a solid and tasty treat. The biscuits were also flaky and tasty. The wife had the falafel on pita with a side of coleslaw. She reported a tasty experience all around. I sampled the falafel, and I agree. Not too much spice and a nice crisp exterior with fluffy interior made for some good falafel. Mac and cheese and the house burger were eaten by the kids. It was nice to see clearly made-from-scratch Mac and cheese. The burger was juicy and huge, so only half was eaten. The cheese, tomatoes and pickles were all flavorful and made for a well-rounded burger experience. The fries were crispy and flavorful. Strawberry milkshake, split amongst us all, was nice and creamy. The whip cream on top was good and chunks of strawberries were found in many bites. If they keep up the momentum and excellent service, they should do very well.

An all around disappointing experience. I ordered the Juicy Lucy which had NO CHEESE in the middle of the patties. How do you forget to add the cheese in a cheese stuffed burger? My sister ordered the Lucy pasta which had no flavor despite all of the ingredients. Everything in the dish tasted like water, even the chicken. My father had the cajun breakfast which he described as extremely boring and unpleasant. We had to leave the restaurant hungry unfortunately.

Decent food but I wouldn't go back. My husband had the lamb shank. Portion size was nothing impressive and had little meat on the bones. Tasted bland. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich which was fine but nothing memorable. Cole slaw was good as was my husband's strawberry shake. I'd maybe go back for breakfast but not sure why I would when I can go to Key's with a bit further of a drive.

Had breakfast the other morning with a group of set builders. Came a bit late, but the server was very kind and took my order right away so I didn't have to wait that long after everyone else got their food. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional. Fairly standard chain breakfast food. Service seemed a bit off at first - there appeared to not be enough staff when I first arrived, so my server was a little strained. When seeking a breakfast joint, I might not make the trek here again, but it is nice to have something in the suburbs. I will probably stick to my neighborhood breakfast places in St Paul.

I came in, and sat at the front counter. Very friendly staff, quite a pleasant experience. I tried the Gyro Omelet - it was fantastic! Large and reasonably priced! The eggs were fluffy and the veggies were diced and fried- it was actually impressive tasting! I will definitely come back!

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday. We were seated right away and then waited far too long before the 'waitress' came to take our drink order. We had a different person bring our drinks and another brought our food. Once we got the food, it took far too long for them to come back to ask if we needed anything. They make their own jelly for the toast and the little 'community' serving dishes were unacceptably dirty. The food was not really good and service was bad. They have a lot of work to do. I would take a chance and go back for another chocolate shake, but not in any hurry.

This place is over hyped - The waffle was decent. not the best ever. My husband ordered an omlet with hashbrowns and it was not good. My daughter had a mickey mouse pancake with choc chips. The pancake was good. Would I come back? maybe but probably not. I will be honest with all the reviews I expected much more. the ambiance is nice though.

Second try and it still needs help. The fries were soggy with our burger and extremely slow service. Menu quoted on price on the chocolate cake and the bill quoted another. Not a place I will rush back to. Forgot to add the prime rib hash was tasty, but the prime rib was very tough

Woodbury truly needed another choice for breakfast, especially on the east end. The food is fresh and tasty and affordable. The service is excellent, and our food was served quickly by a team of very friendly servers. The owner came over to check on us and was very interested in our feedback; he's very dedicated to the highest quality ingredients and service. If you are looking for ambiance, this isn't your place, but it is certainly comfortable enough and not too noisy.

Avoid this place unless you want to get deathly ill! My family and I went here for lunch. I chose breakfast while the others got a sandwich for lunch. I was starving and barely ate any of my food. I asked for my egg yolks cooked almost all the way and the came to the table completely runny. The lady behind me had also got runny eggs and sent hers back. I love hashbrowns but I couldn't even make myself eat more than two bites. So bland and gross. The pancakes were hard and cold. Didn't seem to be freshly made. Felt like they were frozen then put into a toaster. The server came and asked if I wanted a box and I quickly said NO WAY and she seemed surprised id let all that food go to waste. I didn't even make it to my car after eating before I started to throw up the food. Later that night my family and I had horrible stomach pains and felt awful from eating there. Never ever will I return or recommend it to anymore. I will make sure no one I know accidentally goes to this place! Too bad. I really wanted to like it. Pretty lame service as well. Had to wait a while for our check when all we wanted to do was RUN out.

Having been to Ze's a while back for dinner (and loved it), we'd been waiting for a chance to try their breakfast--which they serve all day and everyday--so today was the day. Only one way to describe it--Excellent. This is a family-run restaurant (not a chain), so all of the food is homemade. The staff are knowledgeable about all of the dishes served, so any questions you ask or recommendations you ask for are genuine. Special requests are not a problem. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. My choice was the country fried steak, which is served with homemade sausage gravy, eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The steak is homemade--not a pre-formed hockey puck that was mass-produced by a food service. The gravy (which I asked for on the side), was light and tasty (not gluey at all) with huge chunks of sausage in it. The seasoning was just right--not overly salty, nor peppery. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and light, and the hashbrowns were perfectly cooked. Even the toast that came with it (when was the last time you had a choice that included sourdough?) was good...! My husband's french toast was among the best he's had, bacon was perfectly crisp and flavorful (without being too salty), and eggs were prepared exactly as he specified (Many is the time that he's ordered his eggs "over hard" and the server didn't know what he meant. Not here--clearly, these people know what they're doing!) The atmosphere is bright and cheery, with a 50s style diner theme. The restaurant is immaculately clean. The owners are very friendly--without being intrusive. They'll stop by your table to make sure everything is to your liking. Clearly their goal is to make sure you have a great meal with them. They are succeeding...! Located on the east side of the Twin Cities, with plenty of convenient parking, Ze's is well-worth the trip from anywhere. We'll definitely be back...!

I have been to Ze's twice - once for breakfast and once for lunch. When I was there for breakfast, I had the heart healthy omelette (spinach, feta, roasted peppers) and my husband had the the Honeymooner (pancakes, eggs and bacon). Both meals were tasty. Mine came with fruit, which was mostly melon. The server was prompt and friendly. When I was there for lunch I had the falafel pita and fries. The falafel was just so-so. I thought the patty was a bit too thick and kind of dry. If the patty had been a bit more moist and came with a bit more sauce, it would have been better. The fries were really good. They tasted fresh and were hand cut. I would definitely go back - just wouldn't get the falafel again.

This place was just ok. Nothing too special. For some reason the coffee just doesn't taste good. It tastes like it had been filtered through cardboard.

Came for breakfast. It was fine. Appropriately cooked eggs, nicely cooked hash browns. Attentive coffee service. pricing was ok, not inexpensive. $10 + tip for 2 eggs, and hash browns with chopped onions, peppers, and ham plus coffee.
