Food quality quantity and flavor - FIVE STARS! Service - TWO STARS, specifically relating to the hostess. She is in the absolute wrong role for someone so grumpy. I saw her treat most guests with a scowl, including me and my daughter. But of course, you get wowed over by your friendly waitress (blonde ponytail girl was particularly kind to her patrons) once you get seated so a badditude hostess isn't a big deal, unless you have a to-go order. We were waiting for a to-go order at a table indoors but every new group that came on to be seated at a different open table, result in a another disgusted scowl in our direction. Once the hostess'es party friends arrived she wanted us to wait outside, in the cold, so her friends could have the table that we were seated at while waiting for our to-go order. The hostess was very friendly with them, figuring out how to retrieve cars left wherever the night before. After waiting outside for about 10 minutes, I decided to wait in the doorway which is quite narrow, but I am not going to let my daughter catch cold due to a badditude hostess and her disinterest in letting us use an available indoor table. The owner apologized for the hostess sending us outside for so long but then tried to charge me a second time for breakfast even after the hostess said she would deliver my breakfast outside. The hostess has the power to really ruin what could have been an excellent experience for more than just my family. While the food was amazing, we won't be back due to poor service.

Burgers were fresh and good!! Service was awesome, thanks Tommy! We were there for dinner and it hit the spot.
My favorite place to eat in Waconia. Not fancy, but has good food, good variety and good prices. The staff is friendly and always makes me feel welcome.
Went there for lunch. Service was terrible, burger is a frozen patty, waffle fries have no flavor. Chicken was ok. Won't done there again.

Was suggested to go here for bar food by a local and wasn't disappointed. Good wraps and well priced drinks. Plenty of televisions set up to keep you entertained.
Best burgers around bar none....great food nice service good prices. Highly recommended.
Our favorite dive bar. Hoppers is hoppin'! Best place for burgers in town. Multiple bartenders on staff weekends who are fun and friendly. DJ on weekends. Ringo (Bingo) Wednesday nights. Karaoke Thursday's. Pool and darts. It's the place to be late in the evening where people are usually hitting the dance floor. Open til 2:00. Sunday Bloody Mary's are the best!!

Waiters are super friendly and talkative. The food is excellent with lots of original ideas and combinations. The glasses of water or soda they give you are huge as well. Overall great place, will be coming back again.
I just ate at Waconia's finest dining experience for the second time and had a mediocre experience again. I had a burger and fries and instead of coming to the table with ketchup and mustard, the server asked me if I wanted ketchup and mustard and then it was a while before she returned with said ketchup and mustard. Most restaurants seem to pile on the fries to make you feel like you are getting an abundance of food, but not here, which I just found kind of funny. My meal came on a big plate, but a lot of the plate was unused. My daughter's food could have fit on the same plate. It was fine, there were fries enough. The burgers here are served on ciabatta bread that is too small for the burger, so my hands were kind of a mess, so that was frustrating. The server was nice, but not very attentive considering it looked like a bit of a slow night. This is good place to take kids, because they don't know any better.
I was hesitant to go as chain restaurants really aren't my thing but I had the kids and wanted somewhere relatively quick. The inside is as your would expect (see office space). We were seated quickly and the menu was quite large. The service was typical. We were greeted with the typical upsell "do you want to try some jalapeño shooters or raspberry lemonade"? We ordered and received food quickly. The food was ok at best. It's just all very typical frozen reheated food and upsell service if that's what your looking for this is your place.

Good coffee, but our first impression of egg cetera was not good. We were seated by a table by the door that had pictures of a hunter holding up his dead deer heads at eye level once seated. I had my husband trade spots with me at the table so I didn't have to look at the pictures. Then, we waited 15 min before they brought us our coffee and waters. Then we waited another 10 mins before WE got up to ask the host when our server would be around. We were never welcomed by our server because we were there for 25 min. until the host had the confidence to tell us it will be another 45 min until our food would be done and we hadn't even ordered yet! We asked for our drink bill and decided to leave. Super unimpressed with the service and decor. We won't be back to give the food a try.
Service was great. We are breakfast here 2 days in a row. My wife and I loved it. If we were in town longer, we would have ate here again. The food tasted great. My meal was made exactly how I ordered it. The ladies that served us were sooooo nice. I wish more places could be as good as this place!!!
Great little hometown breakfast spot. Family owned & ran. Order what you would like & they will price accordingly. You can delete or substitute items. I luv the decor.

What a shame it is that this place isn't all that fantastic. The location is great and the building is beautiful. I read in a review that this place is being run by a bunch of teenagers, I definitely got that impression. The hostesses were kids and not very polite. It's always nice to be greeted with a big smile to make you feel welcome. That was not the case here. We were 30 minutes early for our reservation, so we decided to have a drink at the bar. It was pretty full. We found an open table on the patio, though it had bottles and glasses all over it. We waited for 15 minutes... no one came to clean it up, much less serve us. I ended up walking up to a group of waitresses to ask who was serving my table. They sent someone over, but by then, we had 15 minutes left until our reservation. We ordered drinks... it took 10 minutes to get those. By the time we were served, we had to get up and go to our reservation. We sat at a beautiful table on the water, which was nice that they fulfilled my request for a "nice view" on my reservation. They sat us promptly. Our waitress was friendly and nice. We weren't quite ready to order food when she first came, so she said she'd be back... it took her 15 minutes to come back. Way too long. We ordered the cheese platter ($15) to start and ordered our entrees. 20 minutes later, a shy, teenager comes up with our cheese platter. She lost balance of her tray and half of the crackers spilled all over me. She was mortified and said she'd bring some more right away. I get it. Mistakes happen. It would have been nice if they didn't charge us for it, but ok. $15 was a bit much for this platter. Only one kind of cheese (which was great) with sliced asian pear and strawberries... along with one type of flatbread cracker. For $15, I was expecting more. Especially since half of the flatbread crackers were broken... and not from the fall. It should have been cleanly presented! The food took 45 minutes to 1 hr to get. FOREVER. Our food was ok. I got the seafood stew, which was enjoyable. My parents liked their fish, though Dad was unimpressed with the small portion of the trout. My mom enjoyed her salmon. My husband liked his pork. Our waitress came up a few minutes later with a plate of garnishings, which she served my husband. She said, "It looks like they forgot to put the garnishings on your food, so I brought it for you." Really?? For this price, you don't expect the waiters to "forget" things. Also, if she were smart, she wouldn't have said anything at all as we didn't notice... though I can appreciate her honesty, I suppose. Dessert was great: apple tart. The whole dining experience took us over 2 hours, which is far too long, in my opinion. While we were enjoying a perfect evening on the lake, we started getting antsy. Plus, once the sun set, it got super dark on the patio. They need to get more lights! We could barely see enough to pay our bill. Bottomline: Beautiful atmosphere. The service here was just slow as heck. Slow on refills, slow to get the food, slow to get service. I wasn't impressed with the mistakes they made. The food was fine. Had the service been stellar, I would have enjoyed my experience much better. I don't think I'll be back for dinner... maybe a casual lunch?
Lola's is such a great place. Really cool environment on Lake Waconia and good food. Their Lola's Sunset cocktail is worth the trip in and of itself.
Dinner on the lake. Perfect setting. Service was great. House salad was fresh and the dressing was a house made vinaigrette. The halibut was perfect, moist and flaky, served with mushrooms and grilled peaches. Delicious!! I recommend this wonderful place!

I stopped for lunch on Nov 21 2014 while in town. I had a chicken grande burro $8.95 from the lunch menu. it came with refried beans, Spanish rice, and a wonderful pico de gallo with cilantro which was very good. The chicken burro (soft burrito topped with a white cheese sauce) was very good. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good Mexican food.
The food has no authenticity to it and it doesn't have good flavor the shrimp is disgusting the chicken is okay The beef is tough chips are greasy tortillas were not hot sour cream was room temperature I would not really eat here unless you're starving to death
Was actually a lot better than I was expecting. My only complaint was that our food came out way too fast. The cheese wasn't even fully melted inside the tortilla.

Had the sweaty Betty burger today for lunch. Ordered it medium but got it well done. No pink anywhere to be found. Burger was ok bit could use some so-racha mayo. I wouldn't order it again. Perhaps but a green olive burger on the menu with cream cheese? That would be way better then what I had today!!! Service was ok Prices were $9 to $12 for a burger with two sides.
Great management, providing responsible and caring service to the community and it's customers. Nice, suburban location and plenty of convenient parking in a huge lot! We love the Burgers that come with a choice of 2 side dishes (with a long list of choices for sides). I like the basic burger; with a loaded baked potato and sauteed mushrooms for the sides (presently at a price of $9.25 and a bargain). But, their garden salad is an excellent choice for the sides, as well ... fresh, cold and crisp, with a nice selection of dressings. They have a full bar. You can view the extensive menu on their website online. They handle large parties and events very well ... and have a great facility to accomodate them. The Sunday Brunch from 10am to 2pm is lovely, too. Great selection, lovely bakery items and freshly-made personal omlettes! Enjoy this dining experience!
On July 15, 2015..the only positive thing to be said is the hostess was great! The serving was sub par at best. Not even once did she come to ask if we needed anything, or how our food was. The meal was an incredible disappointment. We both ordered the sirloin supper. The veggies were horrid, with just a lack of flavor and mushy. Baked potato was yellow/tan inside and borderline gross. The worst part were the steaks. Both cooked med rare as we requested, however absolutely bland. Both tasted like they were seared for a half minute then microwaved. Definitely not worth the cost. Last thing I will say...we are not very picky and have eaten at many dives and have been plenty satisfied. This place however, will never see our business again.

This is the best Chinese buffet in Waconia!!!! I've been here about 3 times in 10 years and I regret it every time. Now I hope I will remember to stay away. If they tried a little harder this place could be decent. My first time to the buffet last night the mushy stir-fried rice was almost gone, and was looking a little dried out. I had some of a pork dish that wasn't bad. I also had a horrible eggroll that I only had 2 bites. It tasted like it was fried in oil that hadn't been changed in weeks. They have breaded shrimp that are small and labeled fried crab claws or something. They are shrimp! The sushi rolls were comparable to lousy grocery store sushi. I did like the hot and sour soup though, and the jello squares and mandarin oranges were good. I tried the tapioca pudding and I wasn't sure if I had anything in my mouth, that's how tasteless it was. They have some really bad cookies by their ice cream machine, don't try those. They look like the old McDonaldland chocolate chip cookies, but they taste like they were made with rancid shortening. I like the idea of self serve soft serve ice cream, but that didn't taste like much either. Like I wrote above, I wish they would try a little harder, then we could have a decent Chinese buffet in town. It seems like they must get the least expensive of every ingredient they use.
Typical Chinese buffet fair, maybe a bit lower quality than most. If you want to eat a lot of food that isn't horrible, but also isn't all that great, and you like greasy food that's been warming under a lamp for a while, then this is your place. If you want quality or care more about taste than quantity, go elsewhere.
I love Chinese buffets but I was very disappointed in Golden Dragon. I went around dinner time and it wasn't busy at all. Most of the food I had was cold, and lacked favor. Maybe chalk it up to a bad night, but even on a buffet there is no excuse for serving cold food.
