It's just OK. Horribly overrated by the locals. The pizza is OK for thin crust and it is the only crust they offer. Staff could use some customer service training. Not friendly when you call in to order or when they deliver it. Bring cash or a debit card. They dont accept plastic but have an ATM machine inside.
We always stop here for a supply of frozen pizzas and a half sub to eat on the way home.
They changed owners and to me the pizza has suffered. Very sadly, I won't be ordering anymore.

This is classic orange and brown vinyl that is not trendy or retro, it just is. Serves equal purpose to take your grandparents out to breakfast as they worry that the 2.95 breakfast is going to cost too much for you to the rice krispies and chocolate malt hangover cure that a friend insisted on. Trucker caps, flannel and camo envelope the patrons here and, if you are lucky, while you trying to eat you may just have a front seat to viewing the buck thats strapped on the bumper of the stinky hunting party that just came in.
They really need to improve on their bacon and sausage link preparation. Kind of icky. Crepes good. Decent portion sizes. I see a lot of room for improvement. Especially the bacon and sausage for breakfast.
Great breakfast food and good service here. The hash browns actually have flavor! It was perfect for my hangover.

Hands down the best burger out there. If any locals remember how good the old Eveleth Curling Club burgers were, these are as close as you can get!
Kind of expensive is my only complaint. It's a thin crust pizza. We ordered 2 large pizzas the price was just shy of $30. We had a pepperoni and a chicken Alfredo. Both were really tasty but had a bit of burnt crust taste i can only imagine from leftover crust in the oven. I would order it again because it was a good pizza.
Live in Biwabik, and they delivered to the U Save parking lot. By far my favorite pizza! When will the store in Biwabik return? I miss them sooooooo!

Stopped in for lunch hoping for some decent south of the border fare. I should have taken the hint when no one was around to seat us. The service didn't get much better from there. Pretty slow getting to us and even slower getting us our food. While the menu looks very interesting, the food proved otherwise. My wife had a simple combo, chicken enchiladas and a beef taco. In a word - flavorless. The ground beef was just that, no spices or flavorings at all. We have a family descriptor for the chicken - boiled chicken feathers, again, flavorless. I had the Chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. Mediocre. The mole is overly sweet, lacking some of the picante or zest I like. Someone who has never eaten mole might be intrigued by the strong hints of chocolate, I found them to be a bit much. Looking for good mexican here in the northwoods? Keep looking.
Not authentic Mexican. And service was less than impressive. It's pretty average food. I make way more authentic Mexican food at home and I'm only quarter Mexican. My husband and i went for lunch. When we got there we stood at the the front with no one to even notice we had walked in. We finally say down and noticed a sign that said "ONE basket of chips and salsa per table. Extra are $3.00 each." In my opinion part of the Mexican restaurant experience is having Complimentary all you can eat chips and salsa. They weren't that great anyways and neither was the cheese dip. I had to ask for lemons for my water twice. He finally brought out limes and not lemons. My husband ordered a chicken burrito. He got steak. And our waiter seemed very unhappy and made us feel like he didnt want to serve us. Like I said, even besides the poor service, food isn't authentic.
My wife and I love the carne asada and salsa is always terrific!

Jue’s Chinese Restaurant & Lounge

I grew up in Mt. Iron and Jue's was my favorite restaurant. The sweet and sour sauce may have changed a little over the years, but is still light years better than most chinese restaurants I've visited. They offer both a lunch and dinner buffet (both much more limited in items than the nearby Old China Buffet, but much tastier.) I really like the pork fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and the chicken wings. The hot mustard is truly an experience. It's a horseradish or wasabi spicy that doesn't heat up your mouth but sneaks up the back of your nose and be forewarned to treat it carefully or you will turn red and start crying. Mixing the sweet and sour sauce with a wasabi size dollop of the hot mustard is the way I like to dip the wontons or eggrolls. If you are nearby and craving american chinese food, go to Jue's and enjoy!
This is good home made Chinese food. The resurant its self is older but I have always had good food and service. I recommend this place for sure.
My mother and I go here for lunch whenever I'm "up north" visiting her. It's our favorite place to eat. The service is good (everyone is very friendly) and the food is good. I usually get the buffet, and I've never had an issue with it. I like it. It's not fancy, it's small but it's good.

Plenty of seating, with a large selection of fresh sliced fruit, vegtables, meats, and interesting things, under $10 for all you can eat. I eat at New China Buffet every month.
Excellent food. Every thing fresh and each item retains it's own unique flavor. Price is right. We will be back.
I think this place is fabulous. It delivers exactly what you'd want out of a Chinese buffet - a chance to sample a bunch of dishes you wouldn't ordinarily order plus a chance to go back to get a little more of your favorites. Everything seemed reasonably fresh and tasteful to me, at a price that's practically a steal (I did go at lunchtime during a weekday.) This place may not be for high-end connoisseurs, but nearly everyone else will find plenty of good food to eat.

Grandma’s Saloon & Grill

1302 S 12th Ave
Virginia, 55792
Reviews:
When I lived in Virginia, MN, this place was pretty much the only restaurant in town besides some grease diners, a mediocre Mexican spot and the usual fast food chains. I'm not even kidding. The highlight of this small, forsaken town is Target and this gem! Grandma's Salon serves several yummy beers on tap and some decent sized fruity cocktail concoctions that make the day in Virginia a little less depressing. The food is great. The chefs know their BBQing. The absolute best dish here are the grilled beef kebab skewers that are marinated overnight in a western dressing. They are served with wild rice (wild rice is everywhere in Minnesota, too bad California doesn't grow it and it's rare here) which is topped with an amazing white, creamy sauce and some grilled mushrooms. Yum frickin' yum! Thanks, Grandma's, you were part of my Minnesota survival package! I still drink beer from the pint glasses you gave me with one of your refreshing, seasonal ales.
I have dined here several times for lunch and maybe once for dinner; and have tried several different items on their menu. The food has always been good. Portion sizes are generous. The servers have always been friendly - what Brian Williams likes to call "Minnesota Nice". The prices are reasonable and consistent with the usual and customary norms for the area.
We have been here many times throughout the years, and have had some great food. My absolute favorite is the wild Cajun chicken with wild rice. It is ridiculously addictive, and very satisfying. If you like some spice I would recommend this any time. Their baked mac and cheese is also just delicious, with a smoky flavor, penne pasta, great cheeses, a mornay sauce and crumb topping. Our disappointments here have not been with the food. When we bring our two boys with us we always get seated right by the kitchen, which is offensive because our boys are perfectly behaved in restaurants. The last couple of times we've been there we've been greeted and served by young girls with absolutely zero personality or affect OR experience. Otherwise the food usually mostly compensates for the poor service. The last time we were there I tried the chicken pot pie- it is rich and comforting.

We visited the Hibbing location. Very happy the beans don't have lard or meat in them so I can eat them (I am vegetarian). Entrees are always really good. However, the salsa is extremely vinegary and the chips are so thick. The salsa could use some heat added as well. Very mild. The restaurant could definitely improve on their chips and salsa. We will eat here again, but improvements could be made.

Worst service ever! You'll feel like you're inconveniencing their lives just by being there. The only good thing is a buffet during the week at lunch time. As much chicken, biscuits and sides as you want for $5.95, I believe.
