Fantastic hot subs and done on the grill. Was told about this place from my Sister in Law, who is from Jersey. She loved the 'Philly' and put it right up there with the original. Good meat, bread and great service!
The guy with gauged ears and a tattoo that reads "scooter" on his arm who initially helped us never even said a word to me. He just had a blank stare and a "I hate my job" attitude. I was friendly and he wouldn't even look at us. The other guy who finished our sandwiches was nicer. Sandwiches where amazing as always, which is why I give 3 stars to this location.
My second visit to this store. Service was excellent. Was able to order promptly and it was quickly prepared. I ordered a Big Kahuna this time. With beverage and chips it came to $11.29. Yes it seemed a little much, but I was prepared for that and didn't mind. The sandwich roll was sliced more towards the bottom than towards the center, which made for a difficult sandwich to eat. That was OK though. As long as it was an over site and not a regular occurrence, Sandwich was very tasty. Perfect amount of jalapenos and nice and cheesy to. It seemed to have more meat than the Chipotle Cheese Steak I got on my first visit. I grabbed a couple of menus to take with me. Got home and looked them over for their other sandwiches and pricing. WTF. The take away menu prices are not the same as the board prices. They have raised prices in the last 2 months and do not have current prices on the take away menus. Do the owners/managers think that no customer will notice the different pricing? Do they think we are stupid? It appears so. I had an idea for one of their other sandwiches and was looking forward to going again and ordering a sandwich that I would bring my own "extras". And dress up my sandwich at the store. It may happen. But not anytime soon. If I go again, I am bringing my own beverage and just order a sandwich. To add beverage/chips to an order now is $2.59. It was $2.39 in December. And we have to pay tax on top of that. Another 17 cents or so. I can do without chips. But if important to me, I can grab a small amount of chips from home from a larger bag that costs $1.49. I can probably get 10 bags of what they sell for $1.15. At the grocery store we do not pay tax for chips. So another 8 cents saved. Nickel diming to save a little goes both ways. Companies do it. We as consumers can too. I really enjoyed the sandwich. It is worth the $7.95 + tax.that it cost. The beverage/chip cost makes it too expensive for me. I will make other arrangements for that. Because of the pricing discrepancies, they have ticked me off. It is not easy to untick me. They screwed up. They have proven they are not concerned about an individual customer.

Ordered some pizza while in town... Delivered right to the door... Great pizza, but some thought it was spicy... I enjoyed it. Plenty of toppings and not over greasy.
Ever since the new owner took over this place has stepped up its game. The pizza is sooooo good. The sauce is spicy with a kick. Awesome sausage and other toppings. They are always friendly when you call. Nice amount of cheese on the pizza. Some of the best you can get in town. Yummy!
The best pizza in the Twin Cities. The sauce is flavorful and robust. The sausage is phenomenal. Nothing else to say that hasn't been said.

Stopped by during the night happy hour on a Thursday to meet up with some old Co workers. They don't have angry orchard in tap any more, and is a summer beer. They had bottles, that'll do. I grabbed some pull tabs, won a couple bucks. We ordered food, I got the Buffalo wings and tots/rings bucket. The tots/rings were really crisp great flavor. Huge portions. Now onto the wings the flavor was good until I noticed one of the wing(the drummy) was kinda mushy towards the bone. The lighting is a little low in here. I looked closer and saw that the bone was pink, I thought ehh. I thought to myself hope I don't have food poisoning in the next day or two. I showed the wife, she confirmed. The rest of the wings was cooked throughly. I'm not a person who complains to the waiter unless the food is terrible. I usually did come here often until I got a new job. But this might just been a fluke for this one chicken wing. Ohh and I didn't get sick the next day or two, must have been the beers that helped with that. Gets 3.5 stars for me, a great place to hang out our meet up with buddies.
A SPORTS BAR BY ANY OTHER NAME IS STILL A SPORTS BAR First McSeans ( one of the managers might have pocketed money), then Bentley's ( ????? ) now Sak's from the famous restaurant family Cossak I'm told. All I can tell you about the food is that those were the best darn walleye fingers I've ever had, almost. Little or no breading, not fishy, just right ! My friend's Hot Dago seemed to please him as well. Hold on though, it took us 1 hour 20 minutes to get waited on , served, and eat at lunchtime. Holy Hannah, what if we had needed to get back to work? Our often missing server blamed it on malfunctioning computers. I'm blaming it on the Bossa Nova. All of the staff that day seemed to move in slow motion. REAL SLOW motion. Besides, if the computer goes down as often as she claimed, all the servers can resort to the old fashioned method.....pencil and paper !! They should be used to it. Where is the manager when that happens? Aren't they suppose to implement plan b ? That part of the experience was truly disappointing. And look-------every single TV is on a different station. Yay. Finally. Thank you. Too bad it was too chilly out ( Oct 14) to sit on the patio. That patio looked like someone's home patio that loves to garden. Simply beautiful. Next summer maybe I'll be in the neighborhood and try again outside. P R E T T I E S T P A T I O A R O U N D !!!!!!!!!
Great bar, lots of fun, extremely attentive and sweet bartender - ask for Emilie!

Y E S I K N O W J A C K !!! I used to work here when it opened as SIDNEY'S, then FIREROCK, then MAJOR'S. Sheesh. It has been MAD JACK'S for quite some time now, and I think it is very comfortable here. For a Sunday afternoon, the bar is hoppin! The restaurant side looked empty, but filled up as I left. Very cosy in here now. The copper topped table in my booth was curiously interesting and novel. I like it. I now have another Holy Trinity : Scallops Bacon Grilled Pineapple Yes, on the appetizer menu you can get this TRINITY for $10 something. I'll be back! I also ordered the cheese curds to go so I could evaluate them for future reference, and see if they are List Worthy. Alas, they are not. They were under done, and needed sauce. The menu looked better than most sports bars, but the walleye fingers and other walleye items were overpriced. I almost got the coconut shrimp, till I saw the scallops. There is a HUGE selection of Gluten Free items too. Celiacs Welcome :-) Guess I need to go back and try more things. And, the crowd at the bar was was eclectic... old, young, biker, jocks, and all seemed to get along great! The staff was young, but better trained than most sports bars. This is one of our Favorites. Good food and service. We like the Sirloin Tips and the burgers. The drinks are great too!
Sad there's no meatball option for spaghetti. Food was tasty but experience was sad. Took co-workers for dinner and, upon paying with my credit card, the waitress brings it back and loudly announces "your card was declined"- in front of everyone. WHAT??? The manager comes over about 1/2 hour later and explains that their internet connection had gone down and my card was NOT declined- just unprocessed...

Chipotle Mexican Grill

I've been to this location several times. It is the slowest Chipotle I have ever been to. Lines in excess of 30 minutes at dinner time on a Friday night. You wait that long, you're kind of committed to seeing it through. But enough is enough.
Food is good as always but the slowest chipotle I have ever been to. Go to the one in maplewood.
Maybe bias that is I used to work at this location but in my experiences at many other chipotle both in mn and in other states, we gave the best experience ever. The staff and management at the time (2013-2014) here taught me a lot of valuable things I can take with me and apply it everyday for the rest of my life. This was the first job I ever felt passionate about. And it always showed during work. I was not the only one, we empowered eachother to be capable to do the same. Customer service so unique and awesome that many of us had customers crying, literally!!! The job wasn't just about food, it only served as a vehicle. Our staff at the time believed that our purpose was to change lives. Weather through providing a unique and awesome experience with a customer that turned a frown upside down and giving them a story to go home and share or empowering eachother and helping one another get better, not just at the task but as a person. This is where I learned how real resturant experience should be. We had high standards! Standards that I find lacking at so many other places of business. Sadly, in my recent experiences at different chipotles, they did not greet me with a smile as I once did. They did not make jokes as I did. The experience was not personal and i didnt get to leave home with a story to share, as my crew had always naturally were able to create with customers. To the old Vadnais Crew I was fortunate enough to be a part of, one love.
