Y'all, I almost wept tears of joy today upon eating at Fresh Picked Pizza. I recently had to go gluten free and dairy free because of intolerance to wheat and lactose, and it has been a REALLY hard adjustment because wheat and dairy are all things delicious in this world. My husband had eaten here before and we decided to give it a try because the gluten free crust at Pizza Luce is not good and I was having a serious pizza craving. The first thing that is awesome is that they can make ANY pizza in the joint GF and dairy free. Plus, they do mediums and larges, in addition to the personal size, so there could actually be leftovers. Holla! I was overwhelmed by all the options, so I went with a basic veggie. My husband got a pasta and a salad because he was going to leave the pizza for me. They also sold a handful of different GF cookies and some that are GF and dairy free and that was a really nice surprise. We took everything home to cook so we had to wait less than 10 minutes for them to put everything together. Seriously, guys, the pizza was awesome! The ingredients are super fresh and seriously, it was just like eating regular pizza. The crust wound up being a great texture and the "cheese" melted extremely well. It wasn't any more expensive than any other pizza pizza place, either, so this will definitely be our new go-to pizza stop. I'm excited to come back and explore the menu further, especially to try their GF pasta dishes and the salads! I'm SO happy this place exists in the north metro!

The pizza is very good. As mentioned in other reviews, the ingredients are fresh and the cheese is "real." The lady who took my order must own the place, because she was as friendly and welcoming as I could have asked for. The people making the food were friendly too. And the kitchen (which you can see from the seats at the counter) is spotless. As far as that goes, the whole place is spotless. Don't be fooled by the location in a what looks like a run down strip mall. Stop by. I think you will like it.

Gluten free pizza is hard to come by, but this spot does it right. Their sauce is fresh and robust and they use (GF) crust from Bittersweet Bakery. A refreshing change from Pizza Luce's mushy cardboard.

Great pizza. Usually get the personal for lunch and haven't been let down. It can get busy during lunch and they allow for call ins which is great!! They have daily specials, so make sure to check their website.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE!!! Personally my favorite local pizza place! Where do I start? I love that you can get personal size pizzas all the way up to the jumbo large pizzas in ANY KIND. You can build your own, almost in a subway sandwich kind of way. Otherwise they have ones you can already choose from. They have gluten/dairy free options which allow everyone to enjoy some pizza! I personally LOVE the WHITE PIZZA! I honestly have never gotten any other kind. It has a white garlic sauce, artichokes, mushrooms, basil and cheese. SO GOOD! I usually add a side of bread sticks or cheesy bread too. They're neat in the fact that you can eat in the restaurant or take it home. You also have the option to take and bake or have them cook it right there. They do not have the option for delivery though which is kind of a bummer.

To say we love Fresh Picked Pizza would be a huge understatement. We are Sunday regulars and absolutely love to support this business. The monthly specials are creative and very tasty. And the menu is delicious. But what love is not even on the menu. These are owner/operators that genuinely love to have your business. People that know and appreciate that the customer has many places from which to choose and are grateful for the business. I LOVE THAT and it make the pizza taste that much better...

If you are tired of the Dominos and Papa Johns greasy pizzas and care a bit about where your ingredients come from, check this place out! They use fresh dough and use fresh ingredients. I am happy they are starting to extend their hours. It's a great place to grab a take and bake pizza too if you prefer to cook it at home. This is a step up from Papa Murphy's.

This is our go to Pizza location when we just want to pick up a pizza for dinner and we don't want to drive far to get it. Better than any frozen pizza or the delivery choices in the area. There are a few tables to sit at, but it's nothing special. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if you're in the area and you want a pizza this is the place to go. They are always really friendly and the pizza tastes very fresh.

I was *very* dubious about this place, but I was incredibly surprised. The decor, the very shoddy looking sign out front, the name of the place, and the condition of the menu scream "dive from the mid-80s", but the food! Oh, the food. It's in the middle of what looks to be a dying strip mall and I only popped in because the other place I was thinking about eating in the same area was super busy. They have a very wide selection of pizzas from your classic red sauce, to pesto, to white with fresh toppings of all kind. They can make anything gluten free or dairy free. I NEVER would have guessed that before walking in the door. The staff was friendly and the food was beyond excellent. If they moved this closer to the cities it would be one of those places all the cool kids talk about. Pro Tip: you know a place is a hidden gem when you see 5 local police officers having their lunch there.

We've tried a lot of pizza in the north metro because we have pizza every week. This is one of the better pizzas we've tried. It is tasty and they have a good variety of pizzas and toppings. We got the take-n-bake. I would recommend baking at the high end of the time frame given. The middle of the crust was a little soft. I think baking longer would have made it a little crispier. That's the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Other than that, the pizza was delicioius! Driving home with the pizzas in the car was torture! They smelled so good. The one employee I had contact with was super friendly. It's hard to find good customer service and he definitely knows what that is all about.

Some times a person gets tired of the same old food. This should be a cure for some of that. The pizza is excellent. The BBQ Chicken Pizza, The White Sauce Pizza, and the Waffle Fries. All so good. The employees and the owner are all very polite and pleasant to deal with. Give it a shot. And get the punch card "Buy 10 Pies and The Next One is Free". That's a rarity in itself.

As a gluten free foodie, I tend to be a harsh judge of restaurants that say they offer gluten free foods that taste good. Trust me, anyone can offer gluten free. Some places make me wonder if they've actually tasted their gluten free options?! After trying many, I mean more than 9 or 10 Twin Cities pizza places who claim to offer gluten free pizza options, Fresh Picked is definitely in the top 3 for me. As someone else said, the owners and staff genuinely care about their customers and it shows. I usually call ahead to have a fresh hot gf pizza ready when my Daughter and I get there. One time I called a little later and the owner offered to stay open late so my Daughter and I could come in and have our pizza while it was hot! We did not take him up on that, but how generous and truly kind is that? That's how it feels every time we are here! They offer a variety of gluten free crust sizes, (hard to find), which are sourced from Bittersweet Bakery in Eagan. The price is a little bit higher, but the ingredients are all fresh, real, and plentiful. So why do I give it 3 stars? The ambience is not the "hang out" you wish a good pizza place was. It is a little bit sterile and the best place to sit is in front of the pizza bar where you watch them make the pizza's. This is good in theory, and the kids enjoy it, but it makes things awkward when you are trying to pig out and there is someone watching you. ;-) Also, they don't offer any adult beverages, which would be nice to go with a good slice of 'Zza. Overall, I think the majority of their business is the carry out/take and bake pizza business. If they were to upgrade the seating and shift the ambience to something a little "cooler", they would get 5 full stars from me and would become a second home for me and my family! The pizza here is excellent, and the vibe is family friendly. You can bring the kids and not worry they will hear something you would rather not explain later!

This is the only place we get pizza from in the Shoreview area. They have such unique pizzas and will pretty much make any kind of pizza you ask for (as a vegetarian, I feel like I have so many options)! Their crust is just perfectly between thick and thin. Service is absolutely awesome and would recommend this to anyone!

As far as take-and-bake pizza goes, this is the best around. Lots of interesting selections, plus if you have kids to feed, they have grab-n-go cheese or pepperoni at a very reasonable price. Overall, much better than Papa Murphy's. If you have gluten or dairy issues, they will make gluten-free and/or dairy-free pizzas too - and they taste good!

I have been there twice and I think for the take and bake concept they are pretty good. You can also have it baked there and eat there as well. I had the almost everything pizza and it was real tasty, the ingredients (5 meats and 5 veggies, I believe) seemed extremely fresh. It is a little spendy, but worth it you don't need to feed alot of people. I prefer this place to papa murphy's, unless I wanted quantity and not quality. If the prices came down I would give it another star.

Apparently, the second time was the charm. Letter perfect food and service. Super tasty thin crust pizza. mmm mmm mmm! On a side note, they do an awesome job of shrink wrapping the pizzas. This holds together better than some of their competitors.

I haven't even tried the pizza yet but the service is very thoughtful. My wife loves the food. Lee called after noticing that my wife ordered cheese free pizza but asked for pesto topping. Their pesto has Romano cheese in it and he called before filling the order to make sure that was okay. I think this thoughtfulness deserves five stars.

I love this place. Not only are the pizza's amazing but the people who work there are really friendly. The prices are kind of high, but at the same time, with the ingredients that he uses. Its worth it. Also, there has never been a pizza that I haven't been pleased with. However, if you looking for pizza that is anything like: Pizza Hut, Domino's or Five Dollar pizza, tough luck. This place is for people with taste buds.
