Great B&B. It's managed by a husband and wife with a crazy amount of energy for their age (which I won't reveal here, but they can tell you if you're interested). The B&B itself is an old stagecoach inn, but just about half of the current structure was built by the husband out of the wood from a demolish railroad trestle. There's a little treehouse on the premises that serves as a room that you can stay in if you want extra privacy. I think the most interesting room is the honeymoon suite, which is on the third floor of the inn. The reason it's the most interesting is because it has a drop-down ladder that you can use to get onto the roof of the uppermost level of the inn, which used to be a viewing platform to detect prairie fires and has a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The whole house is also chock-a-block with little improvements the couple have made to the place over the years. Spring-loaded panels that you push aside to reveal televisions underneath. Beds hidden in the walls. An old jukebox with original vinyl singles that still works. And they'll be happy to show you the whole place when you first get there. I would suggest arriving early if you want to get dinner, because the surrounding towns are fairly small and everything seemed to close pretty early. But the breakfasts they serve are great so you don't have to worry about food in the morning.
