Sportsman's Grille is A-OK. We stopped for something to eat on our way home from camping. We weren't super hungry, I think the real reason for stopping was a bathroom break. Service was friendly. Place was pretty dead but we were probably there at an odd time on Sunday. I looked at the menu and found gyro nachos and asked the server if they were good. She straight up said she didn't like them, but when I asked for recommendations she couldn't really give me any. I really hate that. I just wanted something small to snack on and went with the gyro nachos because they're different and not often on menus. I'm glad I tried them. They were different and had a lot of potential. I'm not sure I'd order them again, but I washed them down with a couple beers and they didn't seem so bad by the end.

My family and I were in town for a baseball tournament and decide to visit this restaurant on a Friday night because we wanted to try something other than the restaurant chains nearby. Unfortunately, when we walked in the door we honored the "wait to be seated" sign by the hostess stand. Unfortunately, no one was at the front of the house. We waited five minutes and left. Ridiculous! We walked across the parking lot to a local chain and was smothered with service and good food. This place won't last long.

This was more of a 3.5 star place, but didn't think they deserved only 3 stars, so I rounded up instead. Nicely decorated, upscale sports bar atmosphere with outdoor seating. The food and service were both ok. Nothing horrible, nothing spectacular. For the price, in this area, I had expected a little more, especially with having Timberlodge to compete with. I'll give them a second try the next time we're in the area.

Very disappointed. We were the only people in the entire place at lunch! Service was ok, but the food was not ok. My brothers burger was over cooked and they acted like him getting ketchup for his fries was going to set the place on fire so as a compromise they brought him a little tiny cup. Geeze. My salad was a huge disappointment. I ordered the cranberry, blue cheese, and pecan salad which was supposed to be served on mixed greens. Keep in mind that mixed greens are NOT ice berg lettuce. Well it came on a field of the nasty white parts of the iceberg lettuce head. An entire disgusting. Plate full of iceberg when I ordered right off the menu what I though was a mixed greens salad. The waitress was pleasant but I will never recommend this place nor will I ever return. Pity since there are so few restaurants in this area.

Great food! We had the gyros appetizer, chicken Alfredo, cod fillet dinner , and Reuben sandwich. All were excellent. The wait staff kept our drinks full and the service was fine. I wish this place was in my home town.

If you like lips and assholes this place can't even get that right. If you see this place just keep driving. They get 1 star only because my beer was cold.

Great food! I had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. It was hot and tastey. I would recomened coming back. Only downside is it took a long time to get the food.

The food is pretty good, although it can be hit and miss. The burgers are always pretty great, and my husband is a fan of the gyros. We have also had good prime rib and other steaks here. The au gratin potatoes are really delicious, and they just added deep fried pickles as an app, and those are yummy, too. The atmosphere is pretty nice, it's kind of like an upscale sports bar. It is nice to have an alternative to all of the chains clumped in that area.

This establishments tag line is "awesome food" and since I have not tried everything on the menu I cannot dispute that claim. What I can tell you is that this is a private business not a chain franchise and they offer up good steaks and appetizers. The service was good for a Friday night and the food was served promptly and well prepped. I think that this place is a good alternative to their two next door neighbors that just so happen to be chain restaurants.

I'm not from MN, and my friends had never eaten here, so we decided to give the "Awesome Food" sign a chance. It's new, fairly clean, with a bar right at the entrance and a few large plasma tv's featuring sports. It was a Thursday night, and our server was also the bartender, which was fine. The menu is varied, featuring appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, pastas, steaks, ribs and fish. We had the Asian platter, which had 4 crab rangoons, a handful of deep fried green beans, 2 eggrolls (cabbage), and hot-sweet chili dipping sauce. It was ok. My friend had a bacon cheeseburger, which was fairly large, and a side of onion rings. He said they were ok. My other friend had the Reuben sandwich with a cup of beer cheese soup. She said the Reuben was greasy and full of gristle, but thought the soup was ok, though it tasted like it was topped with kettle korn. I had the In-house smoked duck fettuccine in garlic cream sauce, with a $4.99 add-on of 2 crab cakes (considering it was twice that for the same size appetizer). The crab cakes were mediocre and the pink sauce did nothing for it. The pasta was very saucy, but the duck was mixed in with onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, etc. so one can't really tell if it's just dark meat chicken or what. The flavors were muddled and there was not a hint of "smoked duck". Everything was salty, salty, salty. I'm guessing the chef smokes and therefore can't taste the extreme saltiness. This might have to go on Men's Health list of "20 foods your cardiologist would never eat". This is an independently-owned restaurant so it'd be nice if it survives. It needs to restrain its eclectic menu by offering interesting specials, and doing a few basic dishes really, really well. And it needs to cut the salt!

Meh, food was ok. Lack of seasoning, all around. I had chicken added to my dish, not sure how it was cooked. The garlic bread tasted frozen. The soup was bland, the Caesar salad was drenched in dressing, tasted straight out if a cheap bottle. Service was nice, but she didn't want to know why I made a face said "it's... Ok." When she asked how my food was. That says a lot right there.
