This place is as good as it gets. Disregard a review that says it isn't mexican. It's TEX-MEX. They have about 6 different salsa's (all are really good). I've had nothing but good experiences (over 100) there. I can't find anything as tasty in Minnesota. PHENOMENAL!!!

Owner is seriously one of the rudest women I have ever met. Her mother, the original owner is the sweetest lady you will ever meet, Cindy...not so much. She asked me if I had read a certain book, or seen an old movie. When I replied that I had not, she told me I needed to read more, because I wasn't very "worldly". I explained to her that it made her sound very uneducated to assume that I wasn't worldly because I had not read a book, or seen a certain movie. I explained that I had lived abroad and traveled extensively, that is what makes a person "worldly"...reading a book makes you well read. Dear Cindy, you are ignorant. Grace, you are a beautiful human. Food is good, nothing I would go back for with a mouth and attitude like Cindy's...

Very good food great waitstaff. Owner came out and gave us chips and 6 different kinds of salsa. Husband had Chimichanga combo platter, came with rice and beans and me Taco burrito with chicken. Huge portions. Owner sent us Cindy nachos they were so good! I would come here next time I am in the area. If you want a place with a high decor atmosphere or curb appeal then this isn't for you.

This is where I go when I am homesick for Tex-Mex. This place reminds me of so many of the small family owned restaurants you will find in any Texas town. Simple food with lots of flavor served with a genuine smile. The burritos are huge, nachos are as good as they get north of San Antonio. I love this place.

Grace's is such a delightful experience. Skip the chain restaurant options and travel another block or two. The atmosphere is cozy, friendly, and welcoming. We enjoyed several menu options of appetizers and entrées. Would have liked a beer chaser but that was not an option. Another part of the fun was the engaging conversation. "We're not nosey, we just want to know you." We will definitely return for the tasty treats, good value, and engaging conversation. Pull-off I-35 for a worthwhile eating adventure. Ask if you can carry out a few of their salsas and homemade tortillas. Good eatin'. Daryl M. Perry, Ks headed to Hackensack Mn

The food is nowhere close to being Mexican.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
