We (group of four adults) went to Cowboy Jack's on a Saturday night around 7:30 pm. There was a 30 minute wait - there really is not a lot of seating inside. The atmosphere was casual and the background music was at a comfortable level so it was easy to have a conversation. There were a number of families with younger children eating dinner. We were seated at a table with three chairs - had to request a fourth chair. The waitress was prompt and friendly. One of our friends, upon the recommendation of our server, ordered the tater tot hot dish - he said it was wonderful. I ordered the broiled walleye - sadly, it was terrible. It had a strong "fishy" taste - I know, I know ... it is fish, but this was so bad I could not eat it. The manager was very professional and handled the circumstance in a more-than-fair manner. I ordered a hamburger instead. A gentleman playing acoustic guitar filled the bar with various genres of music - mainstream enough for any crowd. The atmosphere was pleasant; the service was good; but the food (at least the walleye) was not palatable. The hamburger was ok. I would come back for live music and drinks, but would probably eat dinner elsewhere.

My wife and I tried Cowboy Jacks on a Thursday afternoon around 1:00 pm and was very disappointed by the poor service. The hostess did sit us down quickly but that we the only part that was good customer service. We waited for ten minutes and nobody came to check on us or take any orders. So, I got up to find the hostess. I told her that we were waiting for over ten minutes and did not get service. She did not respond and then we left the restaurant upset by the lack of service and response. Maybe their late night service is better but I am usually in bed by 10:00 pm.

This place just opened and it meets my expectations of what the "Cowboy" restaurants/bars are known for: country-like feel, peanut shells on the floor, lots of flat screen TV's, great selection of happy hour drinks/appetizers, (4-6p and after 9p $2 beers and half price apps) and a friendly staff to boot. Went for the first time with a girlfriend on a Friday night. Arrived around 8p and the place was PACKED--hour and a half wait for a table for two. We ended up just grabbing a spot at the bar which worked out just fine--ordered some beers and apps---REALLY wish they had a wider selection of tap beers, (not even honey weiss!) The "older" crowd was gone by 10p. Definitely not as packed. Live band started around 9p. Although the music was WAY TOO LOUD it was still a fun time. Lots of people dancing, was a pretty fun time. Friendly servers, bar staff, and bouncers.

Great patio atmosphere. Fish taco are yummy. However if your waitstaff cannot list every single beer you have then you need a beer list. Server stated "the boss here doesn't like beer lists." So I asked her to list the beers and she stated "too many, what are you looking for?" Unacceptable.

Famous Daves rip off, except Famous Daves is enjoyable. Food was mediocre at best. Menu was as bland as the food. Just another BBQ place with no motivation to be better than the rest.

Like others my husband and I have been unimpressed. The food is...ok. I've had their Glen free pizza a couple of times. It has been decent to terrible depending on the attentiveness of the cook. (Burnt and dried up garlic cloves? Yea....not so much.) The last time we went the waitress got my husband's (easy) order wrong. She didn't apologize, but took the platecto go fix it. Then came the terribly long wait. So we had to chase her. STILL no apology. When my husband asked for some kind of compensation for the wrong order and wait she went to the manager (or so she said) and came back empty handed. We won't be eating there again. If we want to just grab a drink and see a band sometime, we might stop back. But NOT for food.

Celebrated my 40th with a large group on Saturday night. Showed up to cowboy jacks to listen to some country music and have drinks. We were there for 2 rounds if drinks and didn't hear one cowboy/country song. Lots of rap and hip hop music (which I don't mind normally but it's not what we were looking for). Kinda seemed like a Justin Beiber crowd with all the flat hats. We ended up leaving for another place.

The Sunday Bloody Mary bar is awesome. Nice atmosphere. Pretty pricey for a bar.

Love, love cowboy jacks! You can't beat the prices anywhere. Jacks Amber is the best ! Food is great, waitress's are always friendly and very accommodating. No problem giving separate checks for large parties

Dont go there for food! Beef ribs are terrible, Philly cheese is terrible! Food is unbelievably terrible!! I cant believe corporate would let this go on, change your crappy food, i have never heard a good thing about this place. Bartenders are not good. They seem to busy to tend the bar. Id rather stay home!

Gross, just gross. Got a couple of burgers and fries. Food was colder than Stonehenge and about as tasty.

Arrived at noon on a Friday, ordered quickly. Food arrived at 12:50. The food was good. I would return but not with my kids. My kids loved the rotisserie chicken. Walleye and chili were good too. I had to order the mac n cheese pizza - odd but good and the crust was cooked perfectly.

Happy hour daily 3-6, 10-12pm. 1/2 off wide variety of appetizers and flat bread pizzas. Don't recommend the walleye fingers, fishy smell and had bones inside. Did enjoy the queso dip, boneless buffalo wings, and jalapeño cheese curds. They have awesome large outdoor booths that can fit up to 8 people. Will try a flatbread next time!

My boyfriend and I ate here about a month ago. Let's just say this is a place meant for drinks with friends/date! After having drinks a few times before we decided to come to dinner to test out the menu, all of the items SOUND appetizing. Too bad the owners don't seem to care how they perform as a restaurant because it has a lot of potential. It looks like there are 15-19 year olds (all of them guys) cooking in the back, some with crazy long hair & beards not pulled up properly. We both ordered our steaks medium rare (warm red center). These things were hard, cooked well & dry! The moment the food hit the table, about 20 flies swarmed our table! I spent more time swatting flies than actually eating. Needless to say, I didn't finish my meal & packed it up to take home to the pups. This place needs to work on two things: Cleanliness & Quality!!!

First impression upon reading the menu was that the food was a bit over priced. It was also rather loud in the restaurant. We ordered the appetizer of corn bread since it was a happy hour special. It was good, and we had plenty to take home. The meals were mediocre. Kids steak bites were cooked right. Kids did not like the fries because they were steak fries. I ordered the caprese flatbread. It was extremely disappointing. There were small diced tomatoes and regular shredded mozzarella cheese. I truly expected large slices of tomato and slices of fresh mozzarella. This looked slapped together and was not worth the $. Hubby had cheesesteak and said there was nothing special about it and felt it was overpriced for a sandwich.

Great food and great staff! Having been in the service industry I often find myself watching the staff, I guess a sort of weird habit of mine. None-the-less while I was watching the whole staff was busting their asses. It was the first time in all my years of dining where it caught my eye. So hats off to y'all!! The food was great and our server was friendly and prompt. I tried the walleye and it was fresh and the portion size was perfect. I had a great first experience at Jack's and can't wait to go back.

Oh boy where do I start? The bad! Upon entering Cowboy Jacks we were ignored by the "I'm not happy to be here hostess". Ok it's a Saturday I'm excited to try this place so I look past it!!! Once we were seated it was time to look at the menu . It wasn't anything fancy but so good staples. We had our cornbread loving 4 year old with us so we started with the cornbread skillet, I ordered the buffalo wrap with a cup of broccoli cheese soup ( I love soup this time a year), my hubby got the breakfast burrito and we ordered our daughter the 6.00 kids chicken sandwich meal!! I had joked with my hubby that I hope the cornbread isn't better then my homemade! Well one bite in and it was no reason I had to worry!! This cornbread was dry, it wasn't sweet at all and had a very funny taste. My husband said mine is better even after a week old!!( gotta love him). Ok so our food comes...my wrap just so so I would not order it again but I did eat half. The soup on the other hand was inedible !!! Cream soup is suppose to be, we'll creamy this was grainy VERY grainy! I couldn't eat it, my daughter didn't like it and my hubby wouldn't try it!!! Now having kids I know what we normally pay and get for kids meals at various restaurants . This was a chicken strip on a dollar for 6.00! Most places around here charge 3-5 dollars for kids meals which typically includes a little treat at the end! Again just not worth it! My hubby ate his but made a few hysterical comments about the taste it left in his mouth!!!!lol The waitress never asked us how our meal was, I'm sure see saw my soup untouched but didn't care!! Are they used to getting complaints so scared to ask anymore? The good... Bloody Mary bar on Sundays and unlimited bloodys on Saturdays may get me back in the door! Would never eat here again or recommend it but may be a place to get away from kids and have a couple drinks!

SO there I was, sitting at the bar. Cowboy Jacks is a horribly boring and unoriginal place it turns out, I have never been there before. I was hungry. So I go for lunch and sit at the empty bar. The guy at the end eating peanuts is already three sheets to the wind and pretends he runs the place. After dodging him I take a seat. No Bartender to be seen, anyplace. One waitress talking to her friends at a table in the back, a person who appears to be a manager is ignoring me as well as she can. I sat there for 10 minutes listening to the completely predictable muzak before getting up and leaving, never to return. The beer they had displayed was the same dreck you can get in a gas station, nothing special. will not return, ever.

They really are consistently gross. I had been there for drinks and apps and was not really impressed and decided to give them a try for lunch. At $6 a piece, my kids shared their kids meal which only came with 2 measly chicken strips. My ribs were ok but my baked potato was gross. The skin I dont think, was washed, the skin was also black (too much cooking!) and the veggies they had were greasy. I wont be coming here again.
