Luna's is a wonderful place to have good coffee, fresh pastries, and share time with great friends. A longtime friend and I met at Luna's on a Friday morning and both were pleasantly surprised with the excellent lattes and delicious cranberry scones. Luna's is set up beautifully for comfortable conversation. Downtown Osseo has been redeveloped into a very inviting small community of shops and restaurants. I look forward to trying other menu items at Luna's.

The scones are amazing! Tried a toasted coconut scone with my coffee this morning and it was amazing! The egg sandwiches are also a favorite. I havent tried lunch there yet but plan to next week. I used to be a Caribou regular until Luna's opened.........

while visiting Minneapolis from LA I was asked, "want to have the best scone you've ever tasted?" as someone who loooves coffee & enjoys a great pastry item to accompany it, how could I refuse? to my surprise, the "best scone I've ever tasted" came from a little, privately owned shop on main street in osseo. the coffee was very good, hazelnut, without being too sweet or overpowering. the scone was truly the best ever. I tried the currant with white chocolate. it was just right texture wise, slightly moist without being too cake'y or too crumbly. the flavor was outstanding, I can't wait to return next time I'm in the area. *as someone who carries her coffee around for an hour or 2, I did notice one small failing: the paper coffee cups they supply at Luna's don't hold up over time. mine became slightly saturated along the bottom ridge & ended up leaving a wet ring on a wooden table. I guess I should've drank it faster. :(

What a delightful place to spend an hour with a friend. We enjoyed the cranberry/white chocolate scones and strong, delicious coffee. The service is friendly and the atmosphere comfortable.

What a great bakery. For an office event, they helped me out with a request for a dozen pastries at the last minute (long story). We mixed it up with half scones, half croissants. As soon as people started trying them, the compliments came rolling out of everyone. Amazing! Yelp's picture is good. Note that as of 4/3/2014, Google Street View still shows this as an insurance agency, but it is a bakery now.

I should of had a scone instead of a croissant if the other posters are right as my croissant was not so good. Maybe my expectations were too high, but the squished pastry wrapped tightly in plastic wrap was far from "light and flaky". The coffee was fine, but frankly I would have preferred McDonalds and I generally avoid fast food. I chose Luna's to avoid the mediocracy of the mainstream and was sadly disappointed.

Lemon meringue pie was delicious! Filling was tart, meringue was toasty, and crust was flaky! So glad they just happened to have a whole one the first time I stopped in and was struck by a desire for pie!

Great baked goods and simple, but delicious soup and sandwiches. The baked goods are excellent, with Steven's caramel rolls accounting for a substantial portion of the business. Although he doesn't bake them often I actually prefer his cinnamon rolls with generous cinnamon and topped with large-crystal sugar. As others have mentioned, the scones are excellent, my personal favorite is blueberry with pecan. A rarer treat is the kuchen, a custard pie with a raised dough and fruit - it is not over-the-top sweet, which in my book makes it the real deal. One last piece - Steven, the current owner and Ann, the founder and previous owner have built a loyal clientele - they have hired local help, and are nice to dogs (big time!), old guys, grammas and even grandkids. If you just want your coffee and pastry , sans conversation you can get that - if you want a little conversation with your treat, you can definitely get that too. Coffee: the brewed coffee suits farm-town sensibilities (makes sense, that's what Osseo has been for years while it was getting surrounded by the suburban sprawl of Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park), I recommend the espresso-based beverages for those who like their java stronger - they use locally-roasted coffee from 7Roastery [a supplier to a good many gourmet coffee operations all the way up to Canada].
