This place catered my brothers grad party!! We found this place just roaming around Pine River, decided to stop in and taste a few things and we were seriously impressed! The way they handled the food to get it to the party was good! They got their promptly and set it up in a quick manner! Everyone loved the food! It was a big hit, and went very quickly!! Their sauce is awesome!! Especially when you mix it with their ribs and pulled pork!!
The menu seems to be limited but flexible here. The day we went there were no hotdogs, the prime rib sandwich had been dropped from the menu and rib eye was being substituted for pork. We were 4 adults with a kid and I would feel within my rights to hammer a restaurant where more than half my party's orders were declined as not available - but I won't. As it turns out, everyone's second choice, a beef taco, and two pulled pork/beef sandwiches (I guess one of those was actually a third choice) were quite good and left my fellow diners happy. My own order of ribs and baked beans were delicious if a bit salty. There was only one person on duty at noon on a Friday and we noticed a Help Wanted sign in the window. Unfortunately I didn't get his name but his service was very friendly and made the atmosphere cordial. Something I did not glean from the other reviews is that this a small, super-casual lunchtime eatery. This is not to take anything away from it, I could see it being anyone's great little place to introduce their friends to. We only get up here once a year but this place will now be on our must-visit list. Oh, forgot to mention that the cheesecake is outstanding, save room and grab a piece from the self-service fridge.
Everything is so so so good! The pulled pork is fantastic and you HAVE to try the cheese cake! Wow. They now have a great brisket sandwich which replaced the prime rib sandwich. Being the first full summer open the menu can change but everything is first class and very well done. A must stop if you love BBQ like I do!

We were in the area on vacation and stopped here for lunch. They had a nice size outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside as well. We tried the Jamaican Jerk pizza and it was very good! It had a spicy kick and we took the advice of others and added the pineapple to the pizza - excellent advice even for someone who doesn't typically care for fruit on my pizza. The crust was excellent - one of the best I've ever tasted!! We spent $22 for a 10" pizza, a salad, a beer and a soda. This was a place that would certainly be a regular spot of ours if we lived in the area!!
Stopped in on Saturday night after a day visit to Big Axe and a round of mini golf at Pirate's Cove. Place had no tables available, on account of rain, and had what looked like every staff member on. Even with all of this commotion a few spots opened at the bar and we snagged them after ordering. Started with cheese bread which was gooey, warm, and went great with the pizza sauce. Also a couple 1919 Root Beers were consumed. After a house special pizza was consumed. The toppings were plentiful and well distributed. Likewise the crust was crisp and flavorful, as well as not overly filling. I have been going to this place for years when visiting Nisswa and I am so glad that it consistently has memorable pizza that I wish I could get in the Twin Cities!
the atmosphere was fun; a quintessential small town experience. Its the kind of place you feel like you have to go when going "up north" but the pizza is nothing to write home about. The sauce was pretty bland, the toppings alright and the crust was chewy...not in a good way. My sister-in-law warned us, we didn't listen, we had average pizza

My wife and I have been coming here for our anniversary for several years now. The past two years were disappointing, and we were going to find somewhere else to celebrate until we found out the restaurant was under new management, with a new chef. The new menu is very interesting, with obvious European, Asian and Polynesian influences. The food was amazing. This is not an inexpensive place to eat, but if you are looking for really good, adventurous food, a nice ambience, and a beautiful view of Gull Lake, this is the place.
Lost Lake Lodge got its groove back! Went there last night for dinner. Everything was awesome! Starting with the hot and spicy soup. So excellent, fresh, and delicious. Don't miss it! The starter salad of lightly grilled lettuce and tomatoes was also outstanding. For entrees, all of them were as good as you can get in the area. The waitress (who was very friendly and helpful, as was the entire staff...including the young girl pouring water and helping out....so nice) recommended the chicken curry. I am glad I listened to her. Outstanding! Spicy and fresh, with delicious rice. The lamb chops? Perfectly cooked. My mother in law got the seafood and stir fried rice. Huge portions and unusual and delicious. We were all VERY pleased. Even all the sides were delicious, although they didn't quite go with the entrees, but so what. The bad? They no longer serve lunch, which was always one of our favorite spots to eat outside with a beautiful view. They also no longer have the butterscotch ice cream dessert that we were all dying for. Oh well, bring back that dessert and lunch, and Lost Lake Lodge would be perfect. I highly recommend it.
My wife and I were looking for a restaurant to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. We've been to all the other top restaurants in this area, but this one, and so decided to try it out, mainly because they had raw oysters on their menu. We took one of our daughters with us, and all of us agreed that the meal we had was one of the best we've ever had.We had the Chef's Tasting Menu, and each course was beyond our high expectations. The wait staff is very well trained, and totally focused on doing what is best for the customer. We loved the food and service so much, that I made reservations here to celebrate my 60th birthday in August.

Another trip down memory lane for me as there are no longer DQs where I am from. I got a blizzard. It was the one they specifically made to promote Jurassic World. It was peanut butter and cookie dough based. It was ok, but I really should have just stuck to my usual oreo or heath bar choice. Ill go back if I am in Nisswa again, but make a better choice in my selection the next time.

This is a quaint little diner in the heart of Nisswa that has tons of history. Despite moving out the bar-seating to make more room for booths, it remains mostly unchanged - including the fact they are cash/check only. The staff are young girls from town and though they are kind, there is no haste to get you your meal - expect some wait as there is usually a slow manner to all here. The food is your average greasy diner food and nothing 'amazing' but the prices are cheap and the people watching is great. You can sit outside or in and the place is usually clean. What more do you want from a 50+ year old establishment?
4.5 stars. Food and service was great. My son, whose favorite meal of the day is breakfast, said he had the best breakfast in months.
Great food and reasonable priced for a "resort" area! No credit cards- only cash or believe it or not checks.

Decor was nice, food ran the gamut from very good to just average. Service was just fair. Best dish of the entrees we had was the roast chicken. Worst was a petite filet that came well done and not the medium we had asked for. Very unappealing presentation. Service wasn't great considering the price. They were slow to clear our appetizer plates and left glasses behind.
Had lunch here with my parents and kids a few weeks back. Enjoyed the food and the service was very good. Definitely worth the drive if you want a bit of a nicer and more upscale meal. The decor is wonderful!
Surprisingly high end food. We tasted the walleye, scallops, Szechwan beans and it was all excellent. Loved the supper club decor and piano man. Really nice atmosphere, food and service without feeling stuffy. Kids menu too!
