I love the food here. It's great Chinese for a small town. The lunch specials are priced good. I've ordered from here over a dozen times. Always quick accurate and fresh

My wife and I have eaten here on a number of occasions and have always enjoyed their food. Good portions and affordable.

I had lunch here today and was very disappointed. When I arrived it was dark so I thought it was closed. I tried the door anyway and it was open after all. Before even taking my jacket off I realized how cold it was inside. The heat was turned on after I ordered my food and the light above my table was turned on when my food arrived (the rest of the dining room remained dark). I received my water in a small styrofoam cup. It was finished before I placed my order but never refilled. I ordered the wonton soup (menu listed it as for two) and the pork with garlic sauce. The soup (although definitely not enough for two) wasn't terrible. It was extremely salty but about what I would expect for a small town Chinese place. The pork with garlic sauce was really bad. I ordered it extra spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. I added some chili oil hoping to add some flavor and heat but that didn't help. The chili oil had an odd bitter taste almost like vinegar. The pork dish consisted of very fatty pieces of pork (I wouldn't know it was pork by the appearance, texture, or flavor), onion that was fine, water chestnut that was fine, mushrooms that were slimy and had absorbed the excessive salt and sweet of the sauce. To top it all off, the rice was dry, hard, and obviously many days old. On the upside, it only cost me $12 to know that I wont ever need to return.

Living in this small town there are not tons of options, so you sort of have to settle for what's around. The food I do like here. No complaints. Happy to say the veggies in my meals usually are vibrant and not overcooked. Had the Scallops with Vegetables, substituted the white sauce it comes with for garlic sauce, very yummy! Their hot and sour soup here is one of my favs. It is jam packed with veggies (peas, celery, BIG mushrooms). They weren't playing any music while I was there, that would at least bump the ambiance, which is lacking, up a few notches. Overall, it's what you can expect in a small town like this, best for ordering take out.

I would go back. Egg drop soup very good and full of egg drops as it should be. Shrimp with snow peas also very good and crisp, I would go back Suggestions: Get rid of the Styrofoam water cups and turn off the hard rock radio station.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
