This place is hidden in fridley in back on a gas station. The food here is great. From hot dogs to Italian beef. Haven't dined in yet but the staff there is super friendly. It's a order up front before you seat yourself kind of place. There's a screen with the menu on top but the font is very small. They also have plastic menus you can read from. Check in on yelp to get a free drink&fries with your purchase. Food here is super affordable.

Goodness be, so disappointed with everything. Ordered burger, came with bun smashed dried out, chili cheese fries-fries raw in the middle, chili so runny needed a spoon. Gyro came wrapped tightly, meat so dried I couldn't eat it, brown lettuce, pita falling apart due to it being dried out. Guy at counter didn't understand what we wanted, and was so confused. Never coming back Where did Chris & Robs go?

This place is a joke...but not a funny one. This restaurant sucks. I don't know where to begin. I'll just list all of the problems and you can decide which one grosses you out the most! 1) When first walking up to the counter to order, the floor was sticky and dirty. My shoes actually made sticky noises when I walked on it. My daughter and I looked at our shoes, amazed. 2) The dude behind the counter seemed really confused and he had a hard time communicating. 3) The floors in the rest of the place were dirty...sticky, dark marks, old food, etc. 4) About half of the tables were filthy. 5) The soda dispenser had thumb sized chunks of MOLD in the drip tray (see photo). 6) The restroom was filthy with a dirty floor, dirty toilet, dirty sink, paper towels overflowing in the floor, and a missing paper towel dispenser. It couldn't have gotten this gross in only 2 hours of business! 7) My daughter's chilli dog came out 15 minutes before my Italian beef sandwich (I timed it). 8) They forgot her fries. 9) The dude bringing food out was confused about who got what food (despite the table numbers), and he walked to various tables with EVERY order, asking if a food basket belonged to them. Duh! 10) When my Italian finally came out, the bread was water logged because the beef wasn't drained properly. Gross! 11) My fries were undercooked and greasy (not cooked in hot enough grease). 12) When I complained to the owner about our food coming out at different times, he actually defended this and told me that hot dogs don't take as long to make as a beef sandwich. This comment is so stupid, I don't have to explain it to you Yelpers! 13) My daughter finally got her french fries...raw in the middle and too greasy. These guys aren't going to make it. Don't come here! -Daddy Maxx Retro P.S. VERY SUSPICIOUS of the positive reviews with only one (1) review and no (0) photo. BEWARE.

Food was awesome... we tried the italian beef with hot giardiniera. The bread is nice and wet, since it comes dipped in the au jus. They did it perfect: Wet enough to be tasty, but not so wet that it couldn't be picked up (you can ask for it dry if you don't want it dipped... but I strongly recommend the dip!). The sandwich was HUGE. The hot giardiniera wasn't CRAZY hot, but hot by Minnesota standards. The Maxwell dog was also outstanding. (it's basically a Chicago dog) Bun was fresh, and all the fixin's tasted great. Dog was tasty, not overcooked or water logged. The tater tots were cooked perfectly. They came out crispy, and REALLY light. Basically means that they know exactly how hot to fry them so the outside is crisp, and the inside doesn't absorb the grease. We also got a plain brat. I didn't try it, but my cohort said it was good. Lastly, the guys came around to the tables, just checking on everyone, making sure everything was good. You don't see that kind of service at a cafeteria-style lunch place without waiters... that's above and beyond, and a GREAT personal touch. The pop machine was a bit flat. Turned out the guy had just changed the CO2, and it wasn't connected fully. After I told him, he had it fixed in a minute. Here's my only complaint: The guys in the kitchen need to find a way to speed up the food. It took a bit to crank out an Italian beef, a Maxwell dog, tots, and a brat. Granted, the place was pretty full, and it was the height of lunch hour, but I think a place like this should be concerned with quick service. From what I saw, they weren't slow... but they were still learning and getting organized. I'd expect them to have things humming shortly. To address one of the other reviews that the place was dirty: 1) I saw no issues with the cleanliness of the floor in the middle of the lunch rush.*** 2) I saw no mold or grime.*** 3) I DID see tables with crumbs... but it was the lunch rush and people were coming and going. From the responsiveness I saw from the staff, just ask them to wipe it, and they'd have it done in a second. *** My lunch partner is a clean freak... she would not have stayed, much less eaten, if the place wasn't clean. Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY!!! And I'd bring friends... This place rocks!

Fantastic chicken wings! Perfectly seasoned. Definitely try the cheesy tater tots as well. Staff is friendly, and place is clean... Definitely will come here again. You can call ahead to order but the wait time for food if you don't is short. Great local gem!

Awesome Italian beef sandwiches. Good heat, tasty beef and the bun held together. Give this place a try!
