Immediate three stars for having Suhey's jersey on the wall. Elevated to 4 when the Chicago style dog was Vienna beef and the Italian beef had quality Torino style bun. If you have now idea what I'm talking about, you not from the city or the surrounding Chicagoland area. Tasted great. Especially if you jonesing for Super-Fan fare.

I had the double dog, onion rings and a tamale (if you can call it a tamale...I posted a picture). The hotdog was good but it would have been better if it was hot...or even warm. The onion rings were ok but I paid $5.50 for 7 onion rings and they were not large ones either. The tamale was a joke, $2.25 for a "supreme" tamale served in a plastic bag. It looked and tasted like crap. I had a Groupon. I won't be back.

Yay! Chicago dogs that I don't have to drive 6+ hours to get. Definitely worth it. At least to hold me over. Suggestions... even when it's busy... make the hot dogs... well hot and the buns stilled steamed. Lastly, train your employees to print out a copy of the receipt for my records. Instead I took a photo of the signed version and denied twice taking that copy so you can't count the drawer. I'm happy with the food.

Very nice place. Has a lot of Bears memorabilia. Great downtown pictures. The part owner was there we had a great conversation about Chicago. Large menu all the great Chicago foods. I ordered a beef with mozzarella fried ravioli s and tater tots. The food was a little salty but overall great taste. Brought back a lot of great memories. Definitely a place to stop if you are in the MN area!!!

CLOSED-Fridley location-CLOSED. There is a new restaurant in its place. I guess we have to go farther south for some chris and robs.

As a Southside native, I was pleasantly surprised and justifiably skeptical when I saw Chris and Rob's show up as a nearby food option when other plans fell through. I don't go into "Chicago" food joints looking for a 100% replication of the food I know and love. It's a standard that is hard to imitate but being away from home for 5+ years now, there are times when almost any beef sandwich will do. Chris and Rob's counter and decor does remind me of my all time favorite spot in Chicago. Chicago Bears décor is paired with CTA transit maps and pictures of the Sears (Willis) Tower. I ordered a wet beef sandwich with hot giardinera. They asked if I wanted grilled onions or cheese on the beef but I am a purist so I passed. The food came out quickly and I had no complaints with the service. The beef was perfectly wet with excess beef gravy to sop up with my remaining bread. Some of the beef pieces were thicker than I like and not as intensely seasoned but I was generally pleased. They also have a local Chicago brand tamale (a plastic wrapped cornmeal and meat log that tastes nothing like an authentic tamale) that I have been unable to find in the store. It's not home but it is a fair stand in. I'll be back for the tamale and to try out the Chicago dog!

What else to get for my first time here other than an Italian Beef? So that's what I got. It was good. Not great. But good. Meat was a little dry and chewy. Bread was pretty decent. My dining partner had the combo sandwich which he liked a lot. They serve beer, that's nice. Nice little chicago diner atmosphere. Pricing seemed to be inline. Service was good.

I eat here once a month. Love the dogs and occasionally get the beef as I don't like being tired after lunch. Being from chicago, let be the first to say that Italian beefs come with only peppers, sweet or spicy, not cheese. cheese may be used to mask the meat at any of these types of places, however, the cheese is really good here so I get cheese fries. The beef is is good about 90% of the time and I usually load up on gardinera, really yummy. The gyros are very good. Polish sausage is pretty good. I have yet to have the pizza and every time I'm there I want to get it but it's the single slice that's sitting under the heat lamps...so it doesn't look especially appetizing.

I absolutely love this place! The only reason it's getting four out of five stars is I was recently in Chicago and had my first Chicago dog and it was so delicious! This is the closest I have ever had to it though! I used to order the beef and cheese sandwich which completely deserves five stars so this four stars is solely on the Chicago dog. Not sure what Chicago does, but they need to share their secret. They also have vegetarian options as my vegetarian sister never has a problem finding something to eat here. It is a must visit whenever I am home!

It's alright, deep fried tots, a wet beef Sammie with cheese. The bad things..... Sammies could be bigger and or the price cheaper. It's a $10 person thing for sit down one step above fast food food. If your hungry, you will leave hungry.

6 months ago, Kohleen L. introduced me to this place. It was a tragedy that it took me this long to introduce it to my husband, and also that it took this long for me to visit again. I thoroughly enjoy stuffing myself with their amazing Chicago dogs. After recently visiting Chicago for the first time, I have more of an appreciation for this place. Although you could put 'Chicago' behind any restaurant name now and it would draw me in a bit more. Back to Chris and Rob's - it has a casual ballpark feel, only the hot dogs are way better and there aren't any fly balls you have to worry about whizzing by. They usually have a game on their T.V.s which adds to the appeal. I especially enjoy their original Chicago hotdog. Where it includes a plethora of toppings all topped with a pickle spear (now that is my kind of dog!). It's an inexpensive very casual place just north of Minneapolis in Fridley. And when I say very casual, I'm talking fast-food type casual. However, this is better than fast-food, it's sports food, which is in a totally different "ball-park." :)

I was in Chicago back in July so i know what the real hot dogs, pizza, and roast beef tastes like. This place has the idea but not even close. The hot dogs are much smaller here and the roast beef was not juicy at all, and had little flavor. It would help if they dipped the sandwich in au ju, so it wasn't so dry and to soften the bread like they do in Chicago. I was expecting better so I won't be going back.

This place rocks...I always order too much food when I come here...for example last time I went, me and the lady ordered the Italian beef samich, Prime rib samich, chicago dog, 5 wings (drummy/wing uncut), tator tots, and cheese curds...my wife's only hundred pounds so I ended up eating most of it. I'll tell you right now, it was all pretty impressive, except the chicago dog...kinda meh...Uncle Frankie's is bigger and better...but Italian beef was dipped, cheesy and huge, but you were still able to hold it...Meaty, greasy, and spicy as well. Real nice kick to it. Just ridiculously good. You can't really mess up a prime rib sandwich I guess, but still, meat was tender and rich, bread help up, and the best part was the au jus you get to dip...perfection. The wings were pretty bomb as well...dry rub, drum/wing combo, perfectly cooked and seasoned...also a huge pluss: they have beer. Yes...I likey...Ok, moral of the story...go get some...big menu, fairly cheap, beer.

Expensive. Small portions for the pricea. Staff had a bad attitude. Not worth the price and don't care for a side order of attitude with my meal. I've turned a lot of friends away from here and will continue to do so.

Went today for the first time. I was less than impressed. They really should have done more with the existing space before opening. They have the right ingredients, but the finished food product did not have an appealing appearance, looked thrown together. The employees were unkempt and sloppy. The place isn't all bad, they just need to polish it up.

Don't remember the dog I got. I loved it though. Haven't seen many dog places in town, but this is the one to hit up. Their fries are HOT off the grill. Come in and watch a game. Not in a busy place, so I doubt it's crazy other times of day. Came during late lunch on the weekend, only two other people there.

I've been to both locations, but this one is closest to me and I occasionally hit it up. I usually get the chili cheese dog, but their italian beef's are also pretty good. I wish their fries were homecut, but they're servicable. Their pizza is pretty solid, but I've only gotten it once, I stick with dogs or Italian beef. Fast friendly service and very consistent with their food. As a Minnesota fan, I find the chicago decor annoying, but.....

Whether driving in a car or riding my bicycle past this place, I never saw a person coming or going. Tonight, I thought it was a good time to try it. I saw one car in the parking lot and another leaving... had I not seen movement, I was going to another place. The lady taking orders was useless. It was obvious we were newbies. As we tried to navigate through the the overhead menu... a customer offered us a paper copy to look at. Nice gesture by the customer. However, we had the same issue with both menus... the fonts are tiny. I fear I just dated myself as an old guy :) When ordering, the Italian Beef sandwich, I was asked if I wanted peppers, then hot or sweet, than do I want cheese... it is a personal thing with me... just tell me how it is served. Then, I ordered fries... small or large I was asked, fair... the problem, how small is your small and how large is your large... oh, they come in a basket. Got it. Again, this gal was minimal to no help. The good news, the Italian Beef sandwich was a decent dollar value and the hot peppers were hot. True, the sandwich could have used more moisture and onion... but decent for sure. My bride order a burger... nothing special. You can do better at a fast food restaurant. We got there about 7:50 PM. and our order was served quickly... with a smile. The lady taking orders was putting chairs up on the tables while there was three booths occupied. I believe they close at 9. I noticed the other customers looking a bit surprise also. Would this action lead you to believe you were being rushed out? When leaving (8:15) or so... another employee thanks us for coming and with a smile. I think this is the guy that should have been taking orders. By the way, the lady that did take our order, was putting her fingers in her mouth. I don't know if she handles food... but not good etiquette none the less. Will I go back? Not sure. Would I recommend? Not really.

Well I have been to Chicago and had the real beef sandwich and hot dog so my standards maybe a little high! My hubby and I were excited to find this place hoping it would taste like a "Al's Beef" and a "Wrigley Dog". We were pretty disappointed ! The beef sandwich wasn't even close to the one you would get in Chicago! Same with the dog! Maybe if we had never had the real deal they would have tasted fine! We won't be back here!

#Hot Dog! These are some of the best dogs this side of #Chicago! Most of the time, I am able to post photos of the foods that I am eating and enjoying. Sadly, I ate my Italian beef sausage so fast-because it was SO GOOD--that you will just have to trust me. From hot dogs to corn dogs, italian beef to pizza and fries--this place has everything. The Fridley location was in a random place--directly adjacent to the Super America parking lot--but the restaurant is clean, well decorated (Chicago stuff of course), has a flat screen TV and a super friendly staff. The prices are also reasonable--so your family can go out to eat, order something filling and tasty, and not feel really broke later. Kudos to the kitchen for bringing the food out quickly. And kudos to the manager, who was quick to correct a mistake (I ordered fries, the cashier forgot to charge me, he brought them out anyway). Highly recommend!

Me and my girl come here once a month and we both really like it. She always gets the Chicago dog. I think the dogs are fine but they are a little pricey for the size. I think my chili cheese dog was about 4 bucks. If you add a side and soda you are looking at about 8 bucks for your meal. Not bad if the dog is large, but they are on the small size. I've had the gyro before, nothing spectacular but pretty good.. I must say I LOVE the wings here. Nobody else has mentioned them so I figured I would give them a shout out. My biggest issue with most wings is when the skin is too stretchy/rubbery/fatty, and usually soaked in some sauce. These wings are the small party size, deep fried plain until the skin is crispy and delicious. They serve them with a salty/spicy powder sprinkled over them, and with a choice of sauce. Simple but so tasty, I have to get at least 6 every time I come. Other than that, the place is a bit run down. Looks like it was last updated in the early '90s. The employees are a bit unkempt and not very friendly, but I don't really care about that since they are not rude. Also, it has been the same people every time I come in, which is good because you know they know what they're doing.

My wife and I took the kids here last summer and we all really liked the food. I never knew there were so many different selections in a hot dog! Very good gourmet hot dogs!
