Excellent high end food at a convenient spot for a long journey. This place has a good strategic location, close to the freeway, and on a stretch between other major towns. The decor is modern and clean, with dark woods and black and white photography on the walls. The food would be at home in any swanky downtown area. The salmon cucumber salad was an excellent balance of flavors that was better than the sum of it's parts. The blackjack blue burger (blackened seasoning and blue cheese) was so tasty, I didn't even bother to add condiments. Even the kids fettuccini Alfredo was delicious. With burgers around $8, and entrees around $14, it's well worth the price. If this place was in my home town, I would add it to my list of regular haunts.

Yummy Cobb salad and large portion. Hubby had fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce. Would eat here again!!!

They have a bar, great wine list, wide variety of food from steaks to sandwiches, salad dressings are home-made. Food and service were top notch. Short distance from the interstate very easy access.

So glad we stopped. Great menu...great food. Cozy atmosphere...outdoor patio looked nice but it was raining when we were there. We enjoyed the soup and sandwich, soup and salad special. My husband loved the signature bean soup and I thought the tomato bisque was delicious! We'll definitely make this our stop when traveling I-90 by Fairmont!

Where do you go in rural Northwest Iowa to get a big-city dining experience? Bean Town! I know, I know... "Bean Town?" It sounds like a place where you'd expect a, shall we say, "gassy" experience. It is not! At Bean Town you can enjoy a wide variety of thoughtfully-prepared entrees, great service, and a comfortably up-town atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a grilled chicken apple sandwich and french dip. The house made chips are fantastic. Quick service and friendly staff. All around quality establishment.

Great find on our road trip. Stopped for lunch. Good food, good service, clean. I don't eat fast food or fried so this was refreshing to get a great meal! Don't get thrown off by the name.

Lunch here today. Reuben sandwich with chips. No kraut and thousand island on the side. I know, I know, it's a grilled corn beef sandwich. Sandwich was excellent, chips were good. I don't think they make the chips in house but they're good. $13 including tip.

I've had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant a couple of times over the past year since they've opened. The restaurant continually offers consistent food experience and flavor experience on each time dining. Their meat selection is very competitive to other venues. They also offer a very competitive seafood line. Although they don't offer crab legs but I guess I will have to let that go. Yes that would be one of my favorite. And a close first place is also the prime rib option which is a common item that I will order. You'll find their prime rib is served open face sandwich style. The flavors of this particular prime rib openface sandwich are extremely well done I would say there's about 5 to 6 different flavors that you can taste and each bite to come together to make one volcano like experience. If you like prime rib at all this is a must upon dining at this particular location.

Traveling interstate 90 from Albert Lee to Worthington. Looking for a place to eat, so I checked on yelp. The Bean Town Grill in Fairmont had good reviews, so we decided eat there. We were not disappointed. My husband had the fillet mignon and I had the 16oz ribeye - both were perfection. Will definitely stop here when we are in the area again.

Mixed perceptions about this place. Menu selection and food presentation is close to 5 stars. A decent variety of beers were on tap. I had the sun dried chicken sandwich on ciabatta, awesome. Topped things off with an apple crisp and scoop of ice cream. The apple crisp was very good however, the ice cream was definitely from a machine like you would find at a low quality buffet restaurant. A little disappointed with that. Rumor has it the owner who started this restaurant was a former chef at the Country Club. I would expect the ice cream to either be home made or at least a higher quality product. Service was average. My beer glass ran dry and stay dry for a time. The waitress forgot to exclude onions for my sandwich. Not a huge deal but part of the rating, overall 3 stars. I would probably stop here again though and give it another try.

Food and service was good, but great for the area. South central MN is not the food capital of the world. Prices super reasonable- a black and blue rib-eye with salad, potato and veggie, less than $25! They don't take American Express which is a bummer for us business travelers who are issued one by our company.

I have been going there since it opened. The food is good but steadily has declined in quality. Also, portions are getting smaller with higher prices. It would be great if they had good craft beer on tap. It's still a nice stop with the limited selection in town!

My favorite place to eat in Fairmont MN. Good food, good service and not pretentious but not rude or crass. Keep up the good work. My 3rd visit here .

Stopped in with a friend tonight, and we were both very impressed! The Rib eye steak was good. Staff was friendly (Ashley was great) we even came back later after doing a little bar hopping around town just to have deserts. The owner sat and talked with us for quite a while. We could see that he really does have a passion. I don't get over this way very often, but I will definitely make it a point to eat here every chance I get. even some nice wines, for rural farm country! WELL DONE!

Ate here for dinner. The food was good, prices are a bit high but for this area, it was not bad.

This is a new restaurant and it is beautifully remodeled. The service is fine but when I asked the waitress if the onion rings were fresh or frozen she didn't know. Disappointing. I asked for a salad recommendation from the waitress and she said to get the Asian salad so I did. It was prepared ahead of time I think since the fork on the plate was freezing cold. The grilled chicken also seemed to have been cooked earlier and then heated to be placed on the salad. We also had the crab cake sandwich. Nothing special. Probably frozen ingredients again. I wish restaurants would make some things fresh so they would have a signature menu item. It is much cheaper to buy onions or potatoes rather than frozen. Just average food.
