I've been going to this sports bar for a long time and it has been consistently below average. The service is absolutely horrible and that's being nice. It takes forever to get a table and once you finally find one get comfy because the server won't be coming anytime soon. After someone decides to show up the only thing I can recommend from the menu is either the onion rings or the wild rice soup (which they'll probably be out of). Other than that don't expect much. Once your finally get your order taken, by one of the comically rude servers, I hope you weren't to hungry because it'll be a while... Before your order is even put in. If you plan to go here for dinner I hope you have 3 - 4 hours to spear. Overall I can't say much good about this sports bar other than I can see why it's up for sale. It's makes me sad because it used to be such a great place.

It is a Monday evening and they are not real busy. The food was great and Vanessa was an excellent waitress. We had the walleye dinner and others in our party had the top sirloin. Both were well prepared and tasted great.

Every time we are in the area we come here for their steaks. You may have to wait a little bit, but it is amazing. Love their onion rings!

Birthday dinner-- have the dining room to ourselves (little slow tonight) they need to upgrade their wine list if they continue to purport fine dining-- Almaden out of the box is not acceptable--I've given the restaurant several chances--tonight the med rare ordered porterhouse was medium and had little flavor - my walleye tasted fishy--it shouldn't, and 1/2 my baked potato was not done. Can't give many more chances at this price point

Hmmm. I guess in San Francisco, you can't send food back? Well it's 2 years later and thankfully we didn't have to send anything back. Unable to figure out when this place first opened but their placemats are replica's of a menu from the early 50's. Since it seemed that we were eating for the electric chair, I'll give a bullet point summary of everything: - Homemade onion rings (see picture) with three types of sauces for dipping. The homemade honey mustard the best. - Chicken wild rice soup made from scratch. Not usually a fan of this type soup. It was rich and big chunks of chicken. Delicious. - None of the main meals were over $19.95 - Salads came with home made dressings (except for Italian). The french was exceptionally good as was the thousand island. - Dad-in-law had the rib eye which was cooked to medium rare perfection. - Mom-in-law had the walleye which she would've ordered broiled after having the onion rings. The fish was fresh and excellent and the best homemade tartar sauce I've ever had. - Wifey had the 16oz Porterhouse which was also done medium rare perfect. It gave us plenty of leftovers. - I had the St. Louis style ribs which was the table favorite. A little dry but still moist and fall off the bone good. It is what the place is known for since they have a garden shed sized smoker off the back. I ate the ribs dry as the sauce was ho-hum. - For their potatoes, they offer garlic mashed, baked, fries and hash browns. Since the place is kinda like a greasy spoon, go for the hash browns. - We passed on dessert as we were stuffed and none of it was home made and we had become spoiled in our short time there : ) Tap beer selection is limited but they do have Summit's EPA so that was good. The place is about 8-10 miles east of Cross Lake which for whatever reason, is a blessing because I would hate for them to know about it. My in-laws have been coming up to the area for 40 years and this is the first time they were EVER there. They plan on going back. The restaurant doesn't seat many but the their is room in the bar. No reservations unless you have a group. If you have the chance.

My husband and I stopped here of our way tolling like. The homemade onion rings are terrific, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like onion rings. I had the Oriental Salad with grilled chicken and my hubby had a burger. Both were very tasty for this type of place. We'll definitely be back.

Five stars for the Bar. Great woman bartender. And they have the original Leinie's! Yeah! We participated in the Emily Firemen's Meat Raffle. No, it wasn't what we San Franciscans were thinking. Too Bad! But we did win a beutiful pork roast. I was told that this was a mid-west tradition! The restaurant, however, is more of a 2 star. My center cut sirloin steak which I ordered blue rare was medium well, my nephew's medium was as hockey puck. Both were absolutely flavorless. Oh, well. Back to drinking!
