I was in Grand Forks inspecting our client's buses at the factory when our New Flyer Rep. had planned to take us to dinner... She said that we were going to a very cool spot that is like by the locals very much. I arrived with a few co-workers to the Blue Moose let's just say I spent 10 minutes waiting for parking because this place was packed... Eventually I am parked and heading in... Out front stands the Blue Moose a walk way and the door... I find the rest of our group and head upstairs were our table is located... The menus are made like newspapers offering you the different meals like articles on the front page... First drinks: I ordered the New Castle on Tap tall; Oh was it cold and crisp!!!! Appetizers: Stuffed Jalapenos & Tapas Peanut encrusted Ahi Tuna both Vey Good!!! Main Course: Walleye with market veggies: Walleye was Awesome not a big Squash fan so the veggies not for me. Dessert: Crème Brule; All I can say is too Damn Good! I also sampled the Brownie let's just say a Chocolate Lovers Heaven ... The service was very fast & accurate, you would have thought with the place being so packed that there would be some delay but just the opposite. So as the Birdman C. would rate AAA+++ or 5 Stars..
Second time there this weekend. Last time I had the pasta which was fantastic. They have a Great selection of drinks and beers, 40 on tap. This weekend there was Octoberfest going on. They had a small german band dressed to the part. Lots of fun, good food, good drinks. Staff very friendly and knew the menu. The restaurant is large and beautiful overlooking the river. I'd go back and order again even though parking is a challenge.
I was honestly surprised by the food here, not much different from the type of food you would find at a chain restaurant. I know a red flag when typical bar food appetizers are called "tapas." The ambiance was loud and noisy, and the restaurant had enough space to easily accommodate over 100 diners. The desert sampler was a decedent assemblage of caramel, chocolate, ice cream, bacon, etc (not really too bad if you're with a lady friend). The walleye (a native northern american freshwater fish) was lightly fried in a panko crust and was actually pretty good.

Very fresh and very good! I even loved the guacamole when I never cared for the stuff before. Happy Hour drink special was great and flexible ($1.50 off anything - was only $4.25 for 25 oz of XX Amber). I had the Chimichanga Dinner (one shredded chicken and one shredded beef) which was very good, fresh. Wife had the first seafood meal listed, shrimp on rice in spicy cheese sauce. So good! Kids meals were great as well. Service was genuine. Like other Canadians over the years, we included a visit to Paradiso on every trip to the area. However on this trip, we were fortunate the U.S. Customs official at the border asked what we liked and when Paradiso was mentioned, Casa Mexico was strongly recommended. We're thankful for that and will be back!
Food was not bad, however there steak was over cooked to the point of jerky like consistency. Tried a beef tamale as well, very bland flavorings. Worst of all was their drinks, tried a premium and regular margarita, both of which were shit. If a single shot of liquor had been added I would be surprised, and for the cost it was far from worth my dollar. Furthermore my guest and I ordered them during happy hour in which they should have been discounted, well that led to an argument with the staff who apparently on a 60$ tab wanted to fight over 3$. Not coming here again based on service and alcohol. Like I said though, the food wasn't bad.
We had a delicious dinner here on a Monday night. One of our kids had the huevos rancheros and loved it. I had the chicken fajita salad, which comes with guac and was delicious. I added my leftover salsa to it. By the way, the chips and salsa were delicious. My husband had a burrito and flauta and said it was delicious. My basic margarita was tasty and inexpensive! All in all it was an awesome meal and great service. We would definitely come back.

I'm not an Asian food expert. I don't know what the differences are between Thai food and Chinese food, Japanese food and Vietnamese food. I do know that the food here is very delightful. The specialty sushi rolls are very very good. I have yet to find anything on the menu that isn't good. For Grand Forks, very good tasting Asian food and sushi.
Great food. We enjoyed every single bite! We had the Pad Thai, Garlic wings, satay chicken, crab rangoon, lettuce wraps, and a Philly Roll. They brought us all miso soup even though we only ordered one entree, technically. Everything was great and we'll be back. No kids menu but they did just fine anyway.
Let me begin by saying I did come in around 8:30 and they closed at 9... so I take responsibility for part of the experience. I was greeted promptly but the seating was limited because they closed the booth sections. I was seated and it felt like almost 10 minutes before the server showed up... fortunately with a glass of water. I ordered based on the recommendation of the waiter... the Spicy Pad Thai... which came with either a miso soup or a salad with ginger dressing. The salad was much to desired and the waiter recommended the salad over the soup. When the food arrived, I requested something to spice the meal without even trying it, just to speed up the process. Awesome decision on my part because I believe the waiter forgot as I saw him walking around chatting with his colleagues. After about 5 minutes he must have remembered and brought some chili sauce. I had already consumed half my meal... There was no apologies to be had. He didn't even ask how everything was. I basically finished my meal and waited for about 5 minutes before he showed up again. Come on man... there are hardly any tables in here... at least try to show you care enough for a decent tip. Overall the place was clean... the food was decent but the service could use some refresher tips on making it a brighter experience

This place is amazing! The service is spot on! The menu is a variety of everything you want! You have to try the Californian pizza! This place has a full bar with plenty of beer taps to choose from. This is a chill place that if u want to play board games they have plenty to choose from! Come here if you are looking for a good time that won't disappoint!! I love their food and will always come back!!
We tried the BBQ chicken pizza that was on special and a cheeseburger. The pizza was horrible, the cheeseburger was ok and the fries were good. All of the food seemed over priced. I would have given this place a second chance if it wasn't for the extremely rude server.
Whose bright idea was it to change the shrimp pizza to an alfredo sauce? Awful and way too salty. Used to have a great shrimp pizza - now disgusting.

The deck is a great place to while away a few hours on a somewhat lazy Sunday afternoon. I'm watching the Red River flowing North (which is contrary to my 60 + years frame of reference/experience) at a few feet below flood stage. I had the "Slawpy Pig" - pulled pork and cole slaw on one of the best rolls I've ever had - - very good sandwich! (the roll is from Dakota Hearth Bakery which is now on my gotta-try list) My only suggestion is to ask for some BBQ sauce on the side. Bartender made two pretty good Rye Old Fashions. Waitress is not particularly attentive - - I'd give her a C and tip accordingly (just 15%, I fear) In all, I'll come back and maybe try something else - or double down on the Slawpy Pig again.
As mentioned in other reviews, it wasn't very busy when I came in at 11:00 on a Wednesday. I sat at the bar. Ashley was the bartender, she greets you with a big smile and good conversation. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger and a Heineken and it was the BEST mushroom swiss burger I have ever had! It was juicy without being greasy. It was on a Kaiser roll, excellent! There was a mixup on chips versus fries, I thought I said fries, but got chips, but who knows, I may have inadvertently said chips. Anyway, it was fixed, no problem, got my fries. Ashley mentioned a place called "Chippers" which which was over the bridge on the North Dakota side. Ashley said they have potato chips dipped in chocolate and they are heavenly. I did not get a chance to go there, darn it all. There is a TV in the bar. At the time, there were game shows on or something, didn't pay attention. Oh yeah. You get a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup when you pay your bill, kind of like when Chinese restaurants give fortune cookies.....
Great place to have lunch or hang with friends, with Friendly, prompt service. Boardwalk has the grand cities best second floor outside deck for great summer nights!

Old oil made the fries gross. The Bacon Clubhouse, my favorite at McDonald's, was awful. The bacon cheeseburgers were not good either. Won't ever eat there again.
