With two reviews already, one five and one two star, I guess I'm the tie breaker, haha. Here's my take. There are limited options in the area, and it is a resort area and they can get busy and they don't staff up or down much because it's a pretty small place and they are going to do their best. So expect to wait if it's busy and meal time. On the bright side, plenty of parking, friendly servers, great food, strong drinks. So take your time and enjoy! Shawn's tip - surprisingly diverse selection of brews on tap!

Good service and good food. I had the French Dip, and the kids tried the shrimp basket and fish & chips.

Flavorless food and absent service. They only allow you one trip to the salad bar, and nothing is labeled, bad for food sensitivities. I have a severe shellfish allergy and a dairy sensitivity (can eat a little). I ordered linguine with garlic sauce, onions and peppers. What I got was CREAM sauce with a garlic clove run through it, with a few tiny overcooked peppers and onions. After 15 minutes of no wait staff coming near us, she eventually came for our plates. Mine was mostly full (I maybe choked down a third). I explained that the sauce was a problem, that I wasn't expecting a cream sauce, but a garlic sauce. She didn't get that it was the dairy and not the garlic that was the issue. She made no attempt to rectify the situation, charging us full price for our meal. DH's French dip was decent with good fries.

Saturday meat raffles are always a fun time, good chance of getting some food or drink. My recommendation if your going there for a bite is to try the rib platter.

I had never eaten at this place under the previous ownership even though I'm in the area often. Not because of any specific reason, I guess I just didn't get around to it. It closed down for awhile and a new owner took over. A few weeks ago I wound up stopping in with 3 others and we decided to try their pizza. Someone in the group had heard it is quite good here. So we ordered a couple pizzas. It took forever to get them. In fact, another group came in about 10 minutes after us, ordered their meals (typical burgers etc), got their meals, ate their meals, finished their meals and when we finally got our pizzas(actually the first pizza) they were leaving. The pizzas came out one at a time too. As in we had the first one polished off already when the second came out. It was just poor timing and made the eating feel awkward. Furthermore, the pizzas were downright expensive and I think they were nothing more than frozen things you could get from Schwanns or the grocer's freezer. Two pizza's did not fill up four adults, but the things were so expensive we felt like we'd be suckers if we got one more. Plus we didn't want to wait another hour for them to cook it lol. As far as taste goes, the pizza's were fine. Didn't have any other food, but the group next to us seemed to give their burgers passing marks too. Maybe the kinks were still being worked out in the service and timing when we were there? It just took away from the dining experience and even though the food was adequate I doubt I'll be returning unless someone else is paying. Bad first impression.

Great little bar/restaurant. Had nearly everything on the menu in the week I was there. Fried cheese curds are great. Get the jalapeño raspberry sauce with it. Hamdinger burger was excellent. Steak bites appetizer was also excellent. Friendly staff and clean joint. Ask the owner about the moose.

Took 10 minutes to place our drink order, and took forever to get out food. It wasn't that busy, and there were several workers just standing around. Food was meh. Kind of expensive, for what you got. Probably won't be back
