Service was good food not so much. Chicken pesto pizza wasn't bad but the crust was so soggy. Spaghetti sauce was so disappointing. Beer was cold the up side to the meal

Great place for up north to get away from the typical burger and pizza bars all over. Always a great place to go.

For a family run business, they don't know how to cook Italian. My noodles were so soggy they fell off the fork. When we sat down, the waitress asked if we wanted menus! It was a bar more than a restaurant, so it sounded like the patrons were having a LOT of fun.

Horrible Italian food that I've ever had! Trust me I'm Italian and this is terrible! I guess it's ok for the Sudo Italians here in Minnesota! Disgusting sauce tastes like Heinz ketchup!!!

I want to like this place. However, the last two times we've went here, it's been awful- high prices and bad food. The last time we were here, my husband's lasagna was frozen. We complained, they took it back, and when it came back, it was still cold. We complained again, and said we didn't want it. They ended up still charging us for the salad that came with it. Such a disappointment. Since it's the only Italian place in town, I'm sure we'll be back. Hopefully it will be better next time?

My wife and I have a cabin in Breezy Point and wanted to go someplace different for dinner last night. Maucieri's has a nice atmosphere in the dining section much like you would expect at an Italian bistro. The menu was pretty good. It had a nice mix of authentic Italian and Americanized Italian entree's and overall the food was good, but not amazing. We ordered a plate of buffalo wings, a cup of chilli, and two dinner's and took a lot of it home. The chilli was excellent and so were the wings. I had the NY Strip with fettuccine Alfredo and my wife ordered the Rose Pasta dish. I wasn't very impressed with the steak as it didn't seem to be a very good cut, but it was well prepared. We both really liked the pasta dishes and followed our dinner with a slice of cake for desert. All in all I was pretty satisfied with the experience. I thought the price was reasonable ($86 including a bottle of wine) for what we got and I would recommend this place to anyone in the lakes area looking for something different. Our waitress was very good and she did suggest ordering pizza next time which we will try.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
