Very impressed with their food. We wanted no msg and they accommodated. The inside is nothing to write home about. Kinda dumpy. But then no one eats at a Chinese restaurant, they take out. Will be going back.
The food is wonderful! Fresh and delicious. The on-line ordering feature is very convenient.
This is a local place that I had avoided because of previous experience decades ago. They have changed owners and food for the better. So I am sounding the all-clear. Its a small, modestly adorned place so the food needs to be good. We had spring rolls - these turned out to be of the fried variety. Ok, but Im a fresh spring roll guy. Then we had chicken wings. They come in some kind of spicy sauce and are just awesome. They are also a mess to eat, but worth it. An entre of Mango Chicken was nice with plenty of mango. I'm glad Its a place for me to go back to now.

If you go to a place called "_____ Family Restaurant" and you expect stratospheric cuisine, then you're ridiculous. For what it is -- which is a down-home diner/Perkins-esque place -- it's great! It's literally right down the street from our house, so this is an easy stop when we're feeling lazy and don't want to cook. They've got your basic Americana-diner spread: breakfast, lunch, or dinner served any time. I don't think I've ordered anything that I haven't enjoyed. Diner food is never over-the-moon amazing, but it's filling and it satisfies the taste buds. This place does just that. The décor is kitschy but just what you'd expect for a Family Restaurant. If you're planning to go there on a Sunday morning, I would advise you to reconsider. It's practically next door to a church, so the wait times are insane by late morning. So if you're sinners like us, try to go during "church time" to beat the rush. But overall, I like this place! We'll keep going back as long as it stays open!
Until today, I'd have given them four stars: they have pretty good food and they can always handle a group of ten people with small children. Today was Mother's Day and we decided we'd take the whole family (including three mothers) for breakfast. Instead of their usual four-page breakfast menu they had a single page with eight lunch and eight breakfast options . . . not even including pancakes. Their pancakes are one of their best breakfast items. One mother had been looking forward to their wild rice omelette. "Nope, we're too busy on Mother's Day to serve our usual menu." Funny, the last time we were there at 0830 they were much busier. Apparently they had "special" food for the day too instead of just a restricted menu. Two of the mothers had the biscuits and gravy and both came unsplit with just enough gravy to cover--about half as much as there should be. When we walked in, the hostess was incredulous that we hadn't called for a reservation for ten, either. It looked like she was contemplating making us wait, even though they had enough room for a company of Marines. Another member of our party thought they were just making sure they didn't give someone else's table away. In any event, it didn't make me feel cherished. Usually, I'd describe it as a Perkins if it was actually owned by a local person who ate there regularly. Apparently, whoever he is, he or she eats someplace else on Mother's Day.
Went here for breakfast. Not very impressed. Will probably go back. Employees are nice.

Been to cowboys a few times. Wednesday night for 2$ burgers and Fridays for the all u can eat fish. Both extremely good although just a tad slow but acceptable because they get really busy friendly staff
I've only ever been here on Tuesday night for their wing special. The deal can't be beat, $5 for 2lbs of wings. For that price you are expecting the worst wings you've ever had or at least wings so small you can barely see them (think Buffalo Wild Wings on wing Tuesday), however that is not the case here. The wings are a good size and all of the sauces are great. I prefer the traditional hot buffalo, but have tried the others and would not discourage any of them. The place itself reminds me if a slightly divey college bar, not really my type of place but the wings are worth it. I just wish you didn't have to eat them there, take out would be nice although I get why they don't allow it with the special.
Dont look for quality here!!!! Been coming since this place was the Firehouse. When it got new owners and changed to Cowboys, it was great! It smelled clean, Food was top notch, menu had really good variety, they had the greatest roasted, quartered chicken!!! Healthy and delish! But something happened along the way, new management maybe? Little by little, service started getting worse, and slower. If you don't have any expectations of this place, u won't be disappointed. If all u want is a hang out, with overpured drinks, and hot bartenders, this is for you! The menu changed back to a regular, frozen food/fried bar menu, same thing every other bar has. When I go there now, takes forever to get served at the bar, they ignore female patrons, (fyi..female patrons are key to the bar industry) drinks are so overpured that they're disgusting. Not everyone wants to get trashed AND throw up on their first sip! The bartenders don't smile, they take forever to get your order. You feel like you are inconveniencing them by ordering something. It's a shame, this bar used to be a favorite of ours, now it's slipped down so far I hardly go there at all anymore. Like I said, if all you want is a hangout with no priorities, this place for you.

I've been here both during the day and at night. I would say I enjoyed being here during the daytime MUCH better! When I came here during the night hours I felt like it was more of a high school reunion.. Not a fan of the crowd. Kind of a trashy vibe. However, on Saturdays in the afternoon they have bingo which is ALWAYS a good time. Your typical dive bar bingo. Good payouts, caller is not annoying (or too fast/slow), and they usually have a meat raffle going on too. Very nice waitresses that work very hard here! Love this place!
My experience was a little different from Katie's... I actually really enjoyed being here! It may not be the prettiest looking place from the outside, but the amount of fun that I had here was absolutely mind blowing! It was a Sunday so it's not like anything really cool was even happening but after my closer family and I left a get-together we all decided on Bamboo Betty's for a drink afterwards. When we got there we were greeted by the bartender with a shot called a 'Wandering Lesbian.' It was like drinking Kool-Aid! We tried a few more, and then ordered a couple of regular drinks. After a while of being hungry we ordered some nacho's, but the real fun began when we started hanging out with the people sitting around us! The people that come here are freakin fun! They all socialize, hang, and want to chat with you. I think we spent a total of three hours here, but it was so memorable for a mothers day that I look forward to going back there again sometime! And as to what Katie said about the cops presence, that is true.... but if you are planning on getting that drunk while you are there then you should have a sober ride arranged anyways. I do not feel for people that choose to drink and drive, they will have to face any consequences. And I will not let another persons poor choices affect my ability to have fun at a place that is straight out of a Tiki movie!!!
So I went here last night and my experience is a bit different than my previous ones; however, I am still not excessively crazy about the place. They changed the hours of ladies night - it runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8p-10p...I'm not sure why they changed the hours. But I can make assumptions about it...like perhaps the police were sick of literally casing the place because of issues. But I don't know... The service was much better this time, I felt bad for the waitress we had. She was running around all over the place, but when we gave her a tip at the end of ladies night she was surprised and unsure of our tip. She commented on how people don't usually tip on ladies night and she really appreciated that we did. This outraged me. How low-class are the average Betty's goers to not at least tip the people running around to bring them FREE drinks!?!?! Ridiculous!

Meh. It was just ok. Carne asada was dry and obviously frozen at one time. Service was blah. Everything was bland. We had to chase him down every time we needed something. I will not be going back.
We love El Loro & will cut these guys some slack because they are new. My husband & I went for dinner last night at 7:30. We waited 15 minutes to be seated even though there were several open tables. There was a group of 9 before us & apparently they needed to be sat before us regardless of the fact that there were several booths open for 2 but not for 9. We finally got sat & found water & ice all over the seats. We wiped them off ourselves & sat down. We ordered & our food came out with the plates piping hot. We sat there until they were luke warm waiting to find anyone who worked there to get us some silverware. We got our silverware only to dig into the bland, no seasoning & no taste meals set in front of us. The place has a lot of seating & the decor is nice. I hope they can figure out their kinks. We will try it again, but it's going to be awhile.
It wasn't quite what we hoped for. Very dsappointing actually. But first the good stuff. It was a Friday night and the place was humming. Didn't have to wait to get seated tho which was nice. When we were there they'd only been open for about 10 days and word of mouth was working evidently. The setvice was slow and unfortunately the food we ordered was not all that good. The real downer was when we noticed that the red sauce looked like tomato paste with some tomato juice added to thin it out a bit. The burritos were essentially tasteless. Everything we ate (or partially finished) was bland or from some funky recipe as it sure wasn't even close to any Mexican food we'd had before. Hope it was a bad day for them. Either way we're not coming back.

MILLERS ON MAIN REINVENTED Wow, renovations are great ! Nice and fresh and clean in here, ladies room too. I have only been here at lunchtime since the change, but I bet it is still busy at night with the exact same people that were here when it was divier. The lunch menu is perfect = lower prices and smaller portions. Quick service too. However, the regular menu is really high for what it is. A very interesting and well thought out menu. The food is good, but not outstanding. The staff I've seen seems to be pretty good. No complaints here, and the new bar is stunning. Well done. Not a place I go out of my way for but glad to have it available as a lunch option by work. However its not possible to get in and out in less than an hour because food takes some time. There is a legit salad bar available. I often order the BLT with tots or onion rings. Overall the food is good, service is on the slower side. Tip: the afternoon happy hour is a great value.
The Tavern on Main is a re-spin of Miller's on Main The decor is a step up. Much nicer. The food is pretty much the same with a few new twists. The "Small Block" and "Big Block" are still on the menu. We tried the Lino Lucy. It was ok, but I've had better. The wife got the blue cheese version. I got the pepper cheese version. The tots were a good side. The fries were that coated style - not my favorite. If you liked Miller's on Main, you'll like this better. If you're new to the area, its a newly decorated bar - with bar food.

Found this place on Yelp. The service was outstanding! The quality of the food was great! Had beef and broccoli, the beef was supremely tender, the sauce/flavor was average. I've had more flavorful of this dish but would definitely go back and try another dish and I will!
Service wait times and food seems to vary from time to time. I wasn't impressed with the food or the taste really. For what you get, you certainly pay a good amount for it. Its not terrible or bad by any means and the place is clean with a courteous staff. Personally not a place I'd go to unless someone with me wanted too. The food isn't very authentic in taste or look - not sure but seems to be a lot of "out of box" cooking here.
I've had much better. Their food is "okay" but not as tasty as it could be. Their sweet and sour is more on the "grocery store Kraft" yellow-clear variety and not my favorite. Cream puffs are too small. If you want really good Asian food, go to the Pink Flower Vietnamese Restaurant 3 minutes away in Mounds View. Everything is homemade (owned by the same family for years) and exceptionally tasty!! They handmake all their egg rolls and HUGE cream cheese puffs (wontons)

At 9:00 this evening, the manager, Chris, threw me out of drive through & told me she was calling the police. Why??? Because after sitting behind 1 car of teenagers for nearly 10 minutes I honked my horn to figure out what was going on. She went ballistic, told me I was disrespectful and out of line. Really, Police action for honking my horn? She sent my kids into absolute panic and melt down with the "The police are coming for you" comment. It took me 15 or more minutes of sitting in the parking lot to calm the kids down. No police ever showed up. Wish I could post negative stars- shame on you Chris for terrifying my kids- I had exact change for 2 chicken sandwiches and a small fry- & you wouldn't serve me.
