Amazing Thai food! They use actual Thai chili peppers to spice it up and always the perfect flavors. My favorite in the MSP metro area!

Na's never seems to disappoint! I have been coming here off and on for the last couple of years and the quality and service never waivers. The dishes are always very flavorful, largely portioned (perfect to share or for takeout!) and the staff is always attentive. Although I have had some thai dishes elsewhere that I prefer over those at Na's, when seeking a go-to, quick and tasty restaurant Na's is a wonderful choice.

An absolute favorite! Service is usually laking but the food more than makes up for it! We always get extra for leftovers

This was our first time eating here, and we will definitely try it again! The fresh spring rolls and sauce were great and we had Panang Curry and Beef with Broccoli for dinner. Everything was tasty. We went before the dinner rush around 4, and there were a few other tables seated, but it seemed like most people were getting take out. I can see why, the atmosphere was only okay. I'll get the food again though!

Always in the running for a dinner option if we don't have a plan. Usually do take out from here twice a month and occasionally eat there outside when it is not winter. Spring rolls are ordered on occasion and the egg rolls are nice and crispy. Kids like the chicken satay and sticky rice. Dinner favorites are 29, 42, 60, 69 and 71. I would be sad if this place ever shut down.....

We ate here at the recommendation of friends. To be honest, I am not a big fan of Thai food. We ordered take out. Customer service was good; the establishment itself seemed clean and inviting. As for the food, this is the first Thai place we have eaten at that follows through when you order "spicy". The spicy cashew dish was mouth warming and good. The cream cheese wonton were prepared in a thick batter that tasted gummy- not my favorite. The vegetarian spring rolls were disappointing. Basically, it amounted to a cheap salad wrapped up and overpriced. Not worth it. Overall? A decent solution for a Thai craving.

Excellent food! You can't go wrong here..My phone won't let me spell the name of this restaurant, but this is small, intimate dining, nothing fancy, but the food is great :-)

Delicious, reasonably priced, and very friendly staff. They offer a 10% discount on all orders over $15 if you pay cash, which is awesome!

I make a point to eat here every time I visit home. I LOVE the pad Thai and would recommend it to anyone.

Loved everything I had at this restaurant. Na 's came highly recommended when I was in Minnesota on business. Well prepared and delish food. Can't wait to go back.

I ate here for lunch for the first time recently. I ordered the chicken curry hot spiced. I love Thai chicken curry soups, and as a result, I have sampled many of them. What struck me immediately upon service was that the bowl was a small size, and came with a small bowl of rice. I became immediately concerned about value, as this was a $13 entree and additional rice was listed as an extra charge on the menu. I decided this was an unfortunate result of being located in an affluent suburb, and dug in. How they got that much chicken in that little bowl, I don't know. It was all well trimmed and tender and moist. The green peppers were still crisp yet hot, and the curry soup was thick, intensely sweet and spicy, very flavorful, lending its well balanced flavor to the chicken, the peppers, and the rice. I cleaned it up. Others at my table had the Bung Bo, and the Pho. They looked excellent, and they remarked that they were. Aside from the questionable value, the food was excellent and the service pleasant. When in the area again looking for Thai, I would definitely return to Na's. however, due to the prices compared to other Twin Cities Thai restaurants, I would not make a trip from a locale with other good Thai restaurants - this is not a destination restaurant, but it serves its locale well.

Great food , getting a bit pricy but their egg rolls are great

Good Thai food with no aspirations for anything more than that. Decent value, and average service. My only complaint is that the fresh spring rolls have been a little gummy on a few visits. I will eat there again without hesitation.

I wasn't real impressed. I ordered one of their curry dishes. I asked for mock duck. Although they had mock duck, they refused to put it in my curry. When I asked why, the server explained that it doesn't taste good that way. Very disappointed since it was possible and they wouldn't do it. I had tofu instead. Server was nice, but could have asked the cook to make an exception. This was a while ago, but I think otherwise I remember the food being good.

This place is great. Get the Thai ice tea. Our server was really attentive and interested in our family having a great time. My wife would like y'all to know that they have the best Pad Thai in the west metro.

Great food and awesome staff! We always get the spring rolls and fried shrimp. Awesome starters with really good dipping sauces. We like the laab, basil fried rice, coconut lemon soup, and the Thai fried rice. Everything we have ordered has always been really good. All of the kids that work here are really friendly as well! They are fast, efficient, and very pleasant. Great place to come to when you don't want to eat in, or you can order for pick-up!

I go here regularly. The wait staff is no-nonsense and the atmosphere is nice but basic. But the food... We used to go to Ketsana's in Richfield until we moved. Na's is different but there is plenty to like. The special eggrolls are divine and worth the price. I get #45 - it's a stirfry dish with cashews, onions, mushrooms + tofu or meat - and it's consistently delicious. My husband has tried a number of dishes and I don't think he's had a bad one. If you're out this way, I'd recommend it for take-out or a casual dinner.

Good Thai food in Chanhassen. I moved to Chanhassen recently and tried out this place. Service was a little slow (why it's 4 instead of 5 stars) but the food was amazing. I had the chili crab and it was messy and delicious. The spring rolls we had for an appetizer were great. I'm not a huge fan of mint in savory dishes, but they were great.

  • Katie J.

I love Na's. We usually get take-out, but once in a while have dinner or the lunch buffet during the week. I usually get the pad thai, which they will make however spicy you would like it. The fresh spring rolls are delicious. All the portions are very generous and large enough to share two or three ways. It's so nice to have a decent Thai place in the suburbs.

  • Molly N.

Sidelake M. said pretty much EXACTLY what I would have said. Try the #63 -- it's awesome! And the egg rolls are phemonenal...

  • Crysta M.

I'll admit I can't seem to get away from the pineapple fried rice, but that dish is fantastic. I've sampled their Pho and their cocconut soup, both are also excellent. Their prices seem intimidating but the portions are incredibly generous, I usually have enough left over for two more meals. I'm not normally a huge fan of Thai food so I can't speak to how it compares to anywhere else but I think it's quite tasty.

  • Chris W.

We ordered take out, Pad Khing - Chicken, Pad Salinoi - Shrimp, and Sticky Rice. I was pleased to see we also received two pint's of rice, typically I am used to getting just one quart when we order like 4 quart sizes of everything else, I mean it's not expensive stuff. The food was great, I don't really get or like the Sticky Rice myself but, everything else was fantastic, pick-up was very quick and without incident, the place was packed on Wednesday evening.

Stopped in for lunch today as we were craving Thai food. We decided to try the buffet. It was a disappointment. There was a very limited selection on the buffet, and what was there was lukewarm at best. They had a Veg Pad Thai out that was nothing more than noodles and bean sprouts with a little Pad Thai sauce on it. Meh... They do have a cucumber type salad that is very good if you take the chicken out of it. The chicken in the dish is NOT good. It tastes as if it has been in the refrigerator for a few days. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Still looking for a good Thai resaraunt.

we found this place very close to us.. about a 5 minute drive down south of where we live.. the place is of a decent size and the decor is nice.. a mix of artwork yet i found it a little confusing also because i didn't know which look they were leaning towards.. there's been a few times when we got seated and had to wait 5 to 10+ minutes before someone finally came to give us water or asked for our orders.. it wasn't that busy as the place was only a third full.. we've been in here when it was almost full and even then, we had better service.. overall, the staff is very friendly.. we haven't been able to take advantage of the lunch buffet but i will say that the eggroll sauce is amazing.. it's like a sweet fish sauce.. as for the chicken eggroll? it was okay.. not a fan but once you dip it in the sauce, it changes everything.. the eggrolls are really big and does come out piping hot though and it takes forever to cool down.. probably almost throughout our entire meal.. the spring rolls are pretty good.. the best thing i love on their menu so far is their spicy chicken wings.. it's tossed in a sweet sauce (probably the same as the eggroll sauce) and also chili.. my mouth is starting to water just thinking about it.. it's like nothing i've ever tried before so it's a must get.. the broth and the wonton in the wonton soup is pretty good minus the cilantro.. i think the cilantro is very overpowering because there's a ton of it in the soup.. so maybe cut back a little on that? the papaya is okay.. definitely different than what we're used to because of the different style but it does comes with sticky rice and beef jerky.. it's a meal in itself and very good.. be careful since their spice level "hot" is pretty spicy.. let's just say we were fighting for the bathroom when we got home.. the beef laab is okay.. the good thing about it is that you get vegetable soup, fresh veggies and sticky rice with it.. now that's pretty cool.. we found that the cucumbers and sticky rice help offset the spicy papaya.. the beef pad thai is pretty good.. definitely big chunks of meat in there.. what i did was scoop some sauce from the spicy chicken wings and poured it over my pad thai.. now that added a little something to it.. my husband ordered the pho once and it was not at all what he expected.. it didn't come with any condiments and it lacked a lot of flavor.. he did force himself to eat a good amount of it but we played smart and ordered other items on the menu in case he didn't like the pho.. it's a big bowl of pho and it sure looks good but it's definitely not their specialty.. the owners daughter came by and talked to us once.. she was very nice and welcoming and asked us how the food was and whereabouts we lived.. it was nice talking to her.. it's a nice place overall and would go back to try other items..

After having had some truly delicious Thai food in California I can honestly say that the food here is not horrible but not outstanding, hence the three star rating from me. I got the Mee Groff, which is essentially their take on chow mein. I'm not even sure if the dish is Thai, but anyway I thought it was ok. I liked the crispy noodles but I thought the sauce was too sweet. It needed a bit more balance -- perhaps more acid and more salt. Perhaps I didn't order the right thing but overall I was not super impressed.

Don't order from the menu unless your not that hungry. VERY SMALL PORTIONS. Best to just get the buffet. Not impressed...

Went here for the lunch buffet. Wow, I don't know what this place is thinking. I was the only one getting buffet with several other people there as well. This tells me that I was in a world of hurt. No fresh entrees brought out. Buffet was $12.50 for four dishes. Half the buffet didn't have anything on it, just sauces/dry seasonings and bowls. Egg drop soup was awful. Entrees were not impressive, little overcooked meat and undercooked veggies. I could make these dishes at home, nothing special. Basically lunch buffet was for the egg rolls which were decent and cream cheese puffs (neither of which scream Thai). Even those were sub par. From reading the reviews and looking at their menu it is overpriced (for people who don't know good Thai and have money to burn). Service was cold and rude. Won't be back again.

I wasn't expecting much, coming in around 12:30 and only one other table with people. I went with the recommended buffet and enjoyed EVERY SINGLE ITEM! This is unheard of. I shoulda known I was in for an authentic treat when no one working here spoke much English! Score!

A great place to come for Thai when you don't feel like driving into Minneapolis. The food is good, not great, but good enough. The service is decent although I have only done take out so I can't speak for sit down or the buffet.

Love the vegetable curry! Tons of veggies and can add on meat. Great flavor if you don't feel like making it at home :)

I really enjoyed Na's Thai Cafe, my sister actually comes here quite a bunch and I usually come here a few times a year. I like the panyang curry which was spicy but not too spicy (for me!) and I really enjoyed my girlfriend's Chicken Pad Thai. The service was definitely on par and I really think that you will enjoy Na's Thai Cafe. I go to lots of different Thai places throughout the Twin Cities and am always looking to try something new and also just enjoy myself and I found that the service is great and also the food is wonderful too!

All of the food here is fantastic! The Pad Thai and the Coconut Curry are my favorites. The prices are too bad considering how amazing the food is. Anyone around the Chanhassen area should stop here NOW!!

Stumbled in this place by accident looking for another, similar, restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the lunch buffet and it was very tasty. The pork and chicken dishes were well prepared and flavorful. The vegetables in all the dishes were not over cooked. The egg rolls where amazing, as were the noodle dishes. Zero complaints food wise. It was probably the best lunch buffet I have had in a long time. Service was good. The restaurant was clean, parking was fair. I will be back.

Overly sweet and salty food. Some Vietnamese food mixed in as "Thai" food, but I'm getting used to this in Minnesota. Little too expensive for buffet.

    (3)
  • Kelly O.

Great food, huge portions at a semi reasonable price. It's expensive but they give you enough food for a small family. We get it for work parties and at home and haven't had disappointment, other than fact that we usually throw some away we have so much leftover.

    (5)
  • Joy S.

I came here a couple times before and loved it then. This time around, however, it was just my kids and myself, and they LOVED it. The fried tofu, the vegetarian broccoli fried rice, AND the vegetarian pad Thai were huge hits among my 3- and 5-year olds, and y'all with kids know how picky they can be. We ended up having leftovers, which they also inhaled, so I know we'll be going back whenever we are craving some local Thai food.

This is definitely a Minnesotan restaurant. When you pull up to the front of the restaurant it is apparent that something is a little "off" - the sign is printed in a bright red oriental font. Inside, the walls are plastered with Americanized "oriental" dragon metal art. The whole place looks more like Chinese take out than a Thai restaurant. I ordered the pad Thai, it tasted like noodles with soy sauce and black pepper. But I understand this is Minnesota so it's probably catered towards the typical Midwestern family that inhabits most of the outermost Western Twin Cities suburbs. In other words people who love salty food and are not keen on trying ethnic food. That being said, I will not be coming back.

I grew up around Chanhassen, and I used to LOVE this place -- my first exposure to Thai food! But then I left MN for a while, ate some Thai food on the east and west coasts, came back, and was disappointed. Their Panang and Yellow Curries were not only meh at best, but also pretty pricey. The veggies in my Panang curry squeaked a bit, though the portions were pretty good, and there was absolutely zero wait for lunch. I do remember the pad thai being pretty good in my memory, but haven't re-tried it. Atmosphere felt kinda cheap. All in all, it's basically the only Thai place in town, so you don't really have much of a choice.

It is nothing fancy to look at, but the food is really good. All of their food has great flavor and they are very friendly. I typically get the pineapple fried rice with pork and love it. Very good food

I had dinner here for the first time. I haven't had good Thai food since True Thai was good... That's been a long time. You wouldn't expect great Thai food to be on Chanhassen. If you aren't close it will be worth the trip. We started with the spring rolls. I had been craving a good spring roll for awhile now. They were very good, crisp, fresh and great tasting. It said it comes with a " delicious sauce" and it certainly was. I don't remember the dish names but we had the #44 and #67. I love Thai basil in dishes! They were both very good and had the right amount of heat. They came out fast. We also had an iced Thai coffee and was also very refreshing. I would definitely recommend it. This place is worth the trip for a family owned Thai establishment. Check it out!

Thai food has had a nice run in the cities over the past decade. Where there were just a few choices there are now dozens. For someone who counts Sriracha as one of her favorite food groups I couldn't be more happy about the culinary progress. Unfortunately, quantity does not always beget quality flavors. You can make a lot of missteps before you find just the right stir fry sauce, curry or noodle dish. All Pad Thai's are not created equal. The good news is even the bad stuff isn't so bad. We all have our palette pleasers. For example, I could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at The King and I Thai. Nothing beats the underground vibe of their bar area. Heck, we even had our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at Chiang Mai Thai. Still, in my heart of hearts, there's only one Thai restaurant that stands, with authority, above the rest. Na's Thai Bistro is in a strip mall in Chanhassen just off of busy Highway 5. It's West, way West, but it's worth every penny you'll pay at the gas pump and more. When you walk in the restaurant you won't be transported anywhere, the staff won't sweep you off your feet. You will get prompt service, lip-licking good food and a reason to return. I can't put my finger on exactly why but the orange slices they put in your water glasses make for the most refreshing drink. I'm desperately jealous of anyone who works close enough to sample the lunch buffet. Lucky little devils. I've never had it but I would have to assume it's as dreamy as the regular menu offerings. Try my suggestions to make your first time a memorable one: Start with the #5 Spring Rolls ($6.05). The translucent dipping sauce is magical. Then move on to the #30 Beef Massaman Curry ($12.45), tender pieces of beef simmered in coconut milk combined with a pleasantly pungent mix of curry, potatoes and peanuts. It's perfection over rice. And if you like spicy stuff dig into the #47 Nua Pad Prig ($13.95), stir-fried lean beef with hot pepper, onion, carrot and celery. I'm a sucker for the pretty carrot flowers they use.

We came here for the buffet on a Friday afternoon. All I can say is... eh. It was alright. There wasn't much variety, though the dishes were pretty good. I really did not like the Spicy Cashew Chicken. The chicken was seriously tasted old/rubbery. Eek! I love their rolls and wontons... those are amazing! Especially when paired with their Sweet & Sour sauce. The Pad Thai was so-so... I dunno. I can't really rave... as much as I wanted to find an incredible Thai buffet we could regular, we did not. :( Sad for us! (if anyone else knows of a great Thai buffet please message and let me know...) Another point is that this buffet is going to cost you around $11.50 or so. It seems ridiculous to me, given the options that are available. I'm still kind of kicking myself over spending that. Argh! If you absolutely have to go here... be sure to pay in cash. You get 10% off the bill this way. Wish we had known that earlier. :)

I've been to this place twice and it's excellent! Great Thai in the western Metro. I haven't eaten in we've done takeout twice. I always get Green Curry when at any Thai restaurant and this was the spiciest curry I've had. I ask for it mild and it's still spicy and I usually get spice a 3 at other places so beware of the spice a little bit! Otherwise this place is great very authentic!

Awesome thai food, so-so service. We order to go mostly, but dine in as well. This is one of our favorite places to eat. Lunch buffet is great too.

the thai fried rice was just delicious!! wish their portion sizes were a lil bigger for the price they charge. we also had the chick panang curry, and i thought i tasted pretty good. also had jumbo shrimp as appetizers, and again they taste good but the price was a lil high. Thai iced tea was ok for me, ive had better ones elsewhere. i would go back again, cos its closer to where i live and aside from the prices, the food tasted pretty good.

Na's is as good as you will get in the Burbs in MN for authentic Thai. I have been all over SE Asia and I can tell you it is very good! I hate it when people do reviews with no knowledge of authentic cuisine. Sorry folks, you can't compare Big Bowl to Na's! It's not the same....this is real, not some franchised B.S. Atmosphere is what it is. Nice patio when the weather cooperates. Check this place out and enjoy!

  • Paul Z.

Not a bad place. Their special egg rolls are good as long as you use the sauce that comes with them. I had the thai fried rice which was not awful but not great. It had some flavor but mainly from the excessive amount of onions in it and a lot of basil. Otherwise it was fairly bland. I've also had the curry fried rice and while I can tell there is curry in it, again it's not the most flavorful dish. Last time i dined in, one of the employees children was playing quite loudly on a computer behind a screen which was right behind our table. Fairly annoying. I will continue to eat there until Sawatdee opens up in Eden Prairie soon!!!!!!

Another gem in the Burbs. A Thai one, that should be worth two points all in it's own. I ventured here for lunch with a friend who comes here quite a bit. I wasn't expecting a buffet, even though I can't say I was surprised to see one. Strip Malls and buffets seem to be made for each other. I was told the food was fantastic and I must say the buffet was right on the mark. Good to be able to sample many things without dropping a fortune and having leftovers for a week. I thought the eggs rolls were very good. Veggie rolls with loads of flavor and a very soft flaky crust, not at all greasy. There were several Thai curry dishes and they were fantastic. A very good beef dish with nice crisp shoe string veggies, and then some sort of strange, really thin noddle dish that I hadn't seen before. Overall it was a hit right out of suburban bliss for what that's worth. I saw a couple bowls of their soup and they looked good, maybe worth another stop. Not like I'm out in Chann. that often but I guess it will work. KT

Na's is a good choice if you're looking for basic Thai food. For the burbs, it's pretty decent. I haven't been repulsed or blown away by it. We normally go there when we're looking for a quick dinner. You can't really go wrong with any of the curries. I normally order the Red Duck curry. While it's a bit light on the duck, it's got a fair amount of fresh veggies in the sauce. My husband normally gets rice or noodle dishes, which seem a bit greasy at times. I do like that they actually give you spice when you ask for spice.

Coming from someone who lived next to a lady from Thailand who made only the authentic stuff I think I can say this is the best Thai option in the metro but as others have said you have to drive west a ways to get here. Open at 11am so don't go too early but even the buffet is a great option if you stop in over lunch. Portions are huge enough for 2-3 meals and the Pad Thai and egg rolls are easy to get hooked on. I have never had anything I didn't like but the levels of hot are no joke so be carfeful and enjoy!!

Can't disagree with the other Yelpers on their reviews but what made this place special for me was chatting with the owners daughter. She took our order and then shared some stories about her mother's Thai cooking, growing up in Chanhassen, going to school in Chaska...just a real sweet young lady that clearly differentiated Na's as a family business who takes pride in their food. That's enough for me.

  • Courtney W.

After watching an Anthony Bourdain "No Reservations" special all about food that makes you horny, I decide to try Na's Pho. According to Anthony, good Pho is like a screaming orgasm. Na's Pho is either awful or I'm hard to "please"...the meatballs were like rubber. Even my dog wouldn't eat them. So my search for good Pho continues...

My husband and I love thai food and California has great thai food. So, when we visited Minnesota, we were wanting some thai food, but were nervous. My brother suggested Na's Thai Cafe and after looking it up on Yelp (of course) we came for lunch. We decided against getting the lunch buffet because they didn't have red curry, which is my favorite. We got thai iced teas, the YUMMY egg rolls, and I got the red curry- medium spicy. It was great! Not as soupy as other curries I've had, but still great. I would definitely suggest the egg rolls (they're huge!) and the red curry. If you get it spicy, make sure to have a thai iced tea close to help curb some of the spice. We ate here twice during our trip because we liked it so much!

Na's is outstanding Thai in the burbs! I have had almost everything on the menu but my favorites include the Beef Salad, Goong Paradise, and the Pha Ra Long Song with Tofu. Their peanut sauce is as good as any but it is Authentic Thai/Vietnamese influenced. So if you are looking for great you stumbled onto the right place!

Great Thai food! I love Thai food and I have never been disappointed at Na's. They have friendly service and a very clean restaurant. We always eat there and have never had to wait for a table, but I think that's because they do a lot of take-out business. This is a family-run place with excellent service. Hard to believe that a place this good is tucked away in Chanhassen!

  • amanda k.

This is the BEST Thai food ever! The sweet and sour chicken is the. Bomb! Also I recommend the chicken pad Thai. The cream cheese wontons are the best thing there though.

    (5)
  • Andrew P.

The atmosphere is very lacking but the food is wonderful. I highly suggest the Pad Mee it is the best noodle dish I have had. The Egg Rolls are amazing as well. I have explored the menu thru take-out and those are my two favorites.

  • Ryan D.

The ambiance sucks, its in a strip mall in Chanhassen, nuff said. The service is okay. The food is actually fairly decent for the red burb. I recommend the spring rolls, the Rad Na with chicken or the Curry Duck with sticky rice. Prices are fairly average....$$ (roughly 10 bucks a dish) If you find yourself stuck in Chanhassen and you don't want to eat at another chain restuarant...stop into Na's....basically there, axels and Rey Azteca are the only independent joints in town.

    (4)
  • Jane d.

The food is delicious. My favorites are their special spring rolls and any of their variety of curry dishes (allhave been delicious). They take to go orders and they are prepared quickly. I have never been disappointed in the food or service! I really would love to give this place 5 stars, but my only complaint really is the restaurant ambience. It doesn't have good mood lighting and the tables are close together.

    (4)
  • Jeff P.

Great egg rolls and a very average lunch buffet. Don't pay for the whole buffet, just get the special egg rolls. From the looks of the place, it could have use a cleaning and some updating about 10 years ago.

This is the first Thai restaurant that I have been to since back in Minnesota that reminds me of what Thai food should taste like - delicious!

I think Na's is great. It is in a strip mall and in the middle of Chanhassen so one wouldn't have high expectations for it but it is actually really good. The first time that I went there I got the egg drop soup and that was enough to make me go back. I haven't been disappointed since. It's simple Thai food and that's it. Check it out if you are in the area.

me and 3 of my family members went to this place for dinner on a saturday. i was disappointed in the quantity of the matsman chicken curry that we ordered. it was a very small size (i'd say it would fit a 12 oz soup bowl) that costed $13. it was good but pricey for the size served. the rice that came with it was even smaller. I couldn't believe it. when i asked for extra rice they charged me $1.50 extra. service was mediocre at best. we were the only customers there at the time. will not return. i've been to other thai restaurants and i've never seen a curry dish & rice side dish this small before. very unsatisfied. save your money & go elsewhere! this place is a rip off!
