We found this place on yelp and decided to stop by. It's a small diner in a smaller strip center, and it was such a delight The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. The service was attentive and we felt like regulars even though we had never been there before. The cook was having a good ole' time singing whatever song came to his head. At first, I thought, this guy is nuts... then I was talking to our server and she confirmed that he was nuts... making it an even better time. If you are in the area, want a great sandwich, and some good soup.. stop here!!

Perfect small town dinner feel right off the main road. The location that is posted here on yelp is a little off btw. It's just a little farther west then it indicates. Let's get back to the food. The food is just a little bit better than most normal small town cafes which actually is a big compliment. Also the person who served us was a sweetheart and very welcoming! The eggs , hash browns, pancakes and sausage were great. What even makes this place better was the price it was extremely cheap. They only charged us 1.50 for a pop which is extremely reasonable for a restaurant! The place must have good owners and we wire new homes in the area and will be sure to stop on by again!

Best home cooking in Albertville! Great family atmosphere and awesome food. We have never left the place unsatisfied. The waitresses always give great service. I highly recommend the eggs benedict, pancakes and omelets!

The atmosphere doesn't seem too appealing but it is definitely made up with the food. We enjoyed the food it was great and the waitresses were very friendly. We had the eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy, they were very good.

Loved this place for the first few years it was open, but recently noticed a downhill slide. The hours that they are open seem to change every few months. Breakfast is definitely the main attraction. Recently they were out of straws, chips, tzatziki sauce, and had to see if they had got corn beef in at the start of dinner service. Even the ketchup was watered down. The burger on the hot sandwich was burnt, maybe they thought they could get away with it as it is covered in gravy and bread. Other sandwiches have been done to good quality in the past. We always went here for the gyro meat, as it was flavorful and crispy. Now it was obviously just pre packaged that they warmed up, every piece was identical in oval shape and thickness. We are all for local business, hope this one can come around.

Good food and huge portions. The cook is a little odd with the singing behind the counter but a good place for breakfast non the less. Just a small town basic breakfast place.

Great little family restaurant. Small dining area which can be a bit claustrophobic when the place is busy. Having ate there 3 times, twice for breakfast and once for dinner with the family, it's a great value for good food. Portions are big, service is okay, and the bill is reasonable. Recommend it to anyone and will always take visitors there when we have them.

We followed Yelp to Patty J's and found it to be pretty good overall. The service was outstanding and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is certainly homey if that's what you enjoy. The food itself seemed quite average for everyone at our table so it wasn't just the one whiner in every bunch. It is a trick to get to your first time there - you have your choice of a couple of side streets, but no direct access to the restaurant from the highway. I might have gone 3 stars, but they gain a star for effort.

Best breakfast in the area! The seating situation is a bit tight on the weekends. We usually end up practically sitting on our neighbors, but other than that, the food is great and much, much better than Emma Krumbees across the highway.

Best brunch in town and you can't beat the prices. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food and service were both great. You must try the omelets or my favorite, steak and eggs. They do serve iced coffee if you ask for it!!!

Decent place for a no frills meal. Better option than Perkins for breakfast. Try one of the skillets, you will be pleased. I also like that you can get kielbasa as a side with breakfast. Dinners are basic, good burgers and sandwiches. I did order the fried chicken once and it was way over cooked and took long, but they did say it would take a little longer to make. Friendly staff and the cooks seem to always be in a good mood which makes for good food. They do need a little help bussing tables and cleaning the floors as it has been messy a few times, but considering the value, not a big deal.

Home town food served with a smile. We ate dinner here as a family and enjoyed it very much. It's certainly a small-town place, but the portions are hearty and the food is pretty good.

Been there several times always had rude service. Expensive for the type food it is and is just so/so quality.

This place is now called Patty J's cafe! I take the family here almost every Sunday for breakfast and it is one of my favorite breakfast places. The omlettes are decent size and are delicious. The pancakes are the best I have eaten and they have pure maple syrup available for an extra 75 CENTS! The french toast is superb along with the steak and eggs. So if you are at the Albertville mall and looking for a place to eat this is the place! It is about a mile south of the mall on county road 19 tword St. Michael. It is by far the best place to eat in the area.
