Took the family out tonight. The place is folksy and a bit loud, but perfect for a family. Most dishes were pretty affordable, but the higher end meat entrees are more expensive for what they offer. Wife had the steak and shrimp. The shrimp were tad overcooked but the steak was perfect. I had the lenten fish special. The fillets were thin and quite overcooked, but still fairly good. Kids had typical burgers and sandwiches, and all were enjoyed well enough. Service was excruciatingly slow on a somewhat busy evening. Would return again, but would probably stick to the sandwiches and fries.

Mediocre food + terrible service = bad times. I tried to order fried chicken for lunch but the waitress quipped that they don't turn the broaster on until dinner (even though it was offered on the menu I was holding). I got a hamburger which was just ok. After receiving another side of attitude from the server, I decided not to ever go back. Too bad since I live so close.

worst place in the usa....my wife daughter and i went in for a mothers day lunch well it turned in to some kind of buffett very over priced ,very bland,but what was odd was we had been there not even twenty five minutes and got asked if we were done with our meal.now it could have been that i was mexican in a white supremacist restaurant. payed 50 bucks for our meal of eggs , bread and coffee that taste like yesterday's grounds and just left..... this place sucks

I have a prior review of this pLace and gave it 4 stars, however not any more! About 7 months ago my hubby and I kinda boycotted this place because of rude service and better happy hour specials up the street. Well last night we broke our boycott and ordered food to be delivered. Mistake # 1.. I placed out order was told 1/2 hour for delivery! Ok! Then realized I forgot to ask for ranch! Called them back asking for 2 ranch with our order. Mistake # 2 ... It took 50 min for our food, with no apology..Mistake 3... Food was cold, my hubby wanted medium steak and it was well done, only 1 ranch, no sour cream or butter for his baked potatoe, my sandwich was soggy and oozing mayo!! We paid 50.00$ for this meal!!! NEVER AGAIN!! Rude service Incomplete orders Cold soggy food This place was great when they opened but now it's just best to avoid it!!

I have been to Neighbors at least 25 times since they have opened and think this place is great. I have been there just about any time of the day or week. The staff is friendly and and polite and the owners actually care about their customers. The drinks are always good and at a fair price. The food is good, their is room fore improvement but I know its a bar going into it, I'm not expecting gourmet and certainly not paying for it either. I would highly recommend this place. Best place on the strip in Albertville by far.

Neighbors does not deserve 3 1/2 stars...it deserves 5. Thanks to my mother I learned at a young age not to judge a book by its cover, and thank goodness I didn't. The outside looked like just another tattered local bar. But the inside had a comfortable clean saloon feel to it. Enough TVs but not too many. Kool 108 playing your favorite oldies at a perfect decibel level. So let's get to the staff. Suggesting favorites, providing plenty of options, and adding that extra lemon to your water refill, they were ready to wait on you hand and foot. The food, my goodness! I had the "steak oscar" for a reasonable price and plenty of sides to accompany, I was filled to the brim with plenty of leftovers. An expansive menu, this place offers food for days, and I'm telling you, you just can't go wrong.

Came here to have a few Nordeasts when they had prime rib french dip sandwich for the lunch special. WOW I was amazed how good this was! You don't need teeth to eat this sandwich. The meat was very tender, the bread was soft and not too chewy. I ended up finishing my wifes club sandwich which was the best club I have tasted. The bread, meat, was excellent! Also noticed they serve breakfast. This place has become my favorite local bar.

Living in the outer burbs means there's not much in the way of restaurants, so when something new opens up I'm pretty excited to check it out (always hoping it's a winner). Plus, we prefer to support locally/family owned businesses instead of big chain places. But wow, was this joint ever disappointing. We arrived on Friday around 6:00 during their grand opening weekend. I'd never been in the place before although it had previously been a restaurant/bar that had gone out of business. The inside left much to be desired. Not dirty, but not very aesthetically appealing, either. The sort of place that left me thinking I'd be glad if I didn't have to visit the restroom, you know? Also, the dining furniture was obviously bought used (maybe from the prior biz?) and the chairs had no padding left and sunk down in the middle, sort of like the springs were on their last leg. We needed a high chair for our 1-year old and thankfully we got one of the only TWO decent high chairs (the standard kind you see in restaurants). Folks arriving with infants after us got stuck with these old-timey Cracker Barrel looking high chairs which, although fine in appearance, were far too big for infants and just plain unsafe. I watched one family struggle to keep their kid held in with a hand on him at all times and another just gave up and held their baby on mom's lap. So for the important thing--the food. Ugh. I didn't have high expectations. (Again, outer burbs, here.) All I was hoping for was some good pub food. A really good burger would have made my day. I ordered a burger and asked for it medium. The server told me they could only sever it up well-done because (wait for it....) that's what the law is in Minnesota! Ha! Not so, by the way. Yes, there are laws about the internal temp that ground meat must be cooked to in restaurants, but someone who actually knows how to cook can still make a medium (or even rare) burger while meeting these regulations. I tried to question this but was clearly not getting anywhere and gave up, ordering a Reuben sandwich instead. (By the way, to be clear, that BS about well done burgers has been confirmed for me since at multiple other restaurants. Clearly they just don't know how to cook a burger so instead they're opting to lie to customers about a law that doesn't exist.) My Reuben was good. Seasoned fries weren't bad. Husband got fish and chips (Friday, remember). No hand-breaded fish here. We're about 99% sure the fish came frozen, straight out of a bag from some food supplier. His meal was average at best. I will give them props for freshly brewed iced tea instead of that fountain crap. Our server didn't ask if we wanted refills, or if we wanted dessert . Just left the bill mid-meal. I guess we were done! We may give them one more try--they have a brunch and it's hard to screw up breakfast--but overall another big let down here in the northwest suburbs.

My fiance and I just went tonight and, consistent with my two lunch visits, found the staff to be very friendly and the food to be really good. I had their house specialty open face roast beef sandwich, while my fiance had a chicken wrap with Irish potatoes. You can tell the food is hand made and they take pride in it. For a local bar and grill, I will continue to visit. Additionally, we were informed tonight that they deliver!
